It's coming to a long weekend, everyone in the Haus is going away except for Nursey and Dex (for reasons). But oh uh! Injury happens!

Option A:

Nursey takes tumble (charming, whimsical). Has injuries. Dex is all, "there is no fucking way I'm going shower you. You can stink like shit and wait for Bitty or Chowder to get back. No fucking way man, don't even pretend." But then uh oh! pie disaster! Sticky pie filling everywhere, there's no getting around it now.

Option B:

Dex takes a tumble (awkward, embarrassing). He shrugs off any offer of help. Nursey absolutely offers to scrub his back and brush his teeth and feed him little aeroplane spoonfuls of pie. Dex, red cheeks, is not having it. But then uh oh! pie disaster! Dex still isn't accepting help but can get to the places where the pie is. "How did it get in my hair? Why can't I use my arms in an effective manner? Is it because of the plot?" (He doesn't say that last bit).

Soaking wet, sweet berry mixture tangled in his wee ginger chest hairs, he bites the bullet, swallows his saliva (that's a thing people in the BLs I'm watching say) and calls Derek's name. No response (Nursey absolutely heard it though). Towel held around his waist, wet footprints trailing behind him, Dex stands at Nursey's door. Looking like he already knows he's gonna regret this. Nurse, without looking up says, "sure bro, jump back in I'll be right there"

Cue Derek fucking Nurse, the manic pixie dream defensemen Dex's dreams and nightmares joining Dex in the shower dressed like that ⬆️ . Dex, acting like he isn't impressed, "Derek", Nursey, big fucking shit-eating grin, "William".

As soon as I began receiving asks about Junior regarding my body swap concept a few days ago, I knew I wanted to add him in a short sequence. 💙

I've considered many different scenes in which he would be included, but there was one in particular that kept coming back to my mind, and it was the exact moment he would agree to safely lead Luigi to "Bowser" (aka Mario). In this specific scenario, he would be mostly oblivious to what's going on, and would thus show palpable mistrust towards Luigi at first, who he doesn't really know and hasn't yet opened up to. But upon seeing how distraught the poor man is, Junior would feel for him and let his guard down. 🤲

Been thinking about Bitty getting invited to guest star on some variety competition show where the challenge that week is to bake with those drunk goggles on. They're just making some basic vanilla cupcakes, and he's up against another baking YouTuber and a comedian who appears in every episode to add levity to the competition.

Obviously the comedian isn't doing too great, but that's kind of the whole point of him being there. The other baker isn't doing terribly, just a lot of missing things when he reaches for them or accidentally knocking things over.

Bitty, on the other hand, is absolutely crushing this baking challenge. Not only are his cupcakes fluffy and delicious, he finishes them in like half the time everyone else takes. The channel didn't give them anything to pipe the icing with so he puts his buttercream in a zip lock bag, cuts off one corner, and pipes them to perfection. The whole time he's doing this he's telling a story about how he once made eight pies in one night all between rounds of beer pong. He also talks about the time he made a perfect clafoutis (a type of French fruit tart) on the night the Falconers won the Stanley Cup despite being nearly black out drunk.

Needless to say, Bitty gets invited back three more times to do more drunk baking challenges.

I started this Parse comic almost a year ago (!) but I’ve only just managed to put it together now. I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about Kent and how he mostly exists in bits and pieces as seen through the eyes of other characters.

There’s just something about being haunted and defined by your past (mistakes) but also finding strength on your own. (And how there can still a hopeful ending despite it all.)
