don't know why I was thinking about this again but one time a couple years ago a mutual reblogged what I'm sure they thought was just an abandoned car that had crashed into/was outside of a broken exterior farmhouse wall, also equally abandoned, for whatever "aesthetic" I guess but I did unfortunately recognize it as crime scene photos belonging to a woman who had disappeared and has never been found and I couldn't work up the courage to message them and be like "hey so uh. about this post" like that would raise more questions on my end wouldn't it. "why did you recognize it then" I was frequently watching true crime shows with my mother as a child some thing just stay with u. okay. anyway that post haunts me sometimes I saw it the one time and never again but I will remember that moment and be like that's fucked up to use those photos for some weird #abandonedcore #ominouscore tumblr aesthetic but I recognized what they were from so what's worse here.
