Connor Kenway/Ratonhnhaké:ton (Assassin's Creed III)

Even as the years go by, Connor was the character I made a Tumblr account for and pretty much the only reason I bother still paying attention to Assassin's Creed as a franchise anymore. I was there, man. I was there when everyone in the fandom and their mothers hated this guy, but I will still defend him even with my goddamn life. Characters that go through intense tragedy after intense tragedy and still come out the other side gentle and optimistic are my lifeblood.

2. Johnny Silverhand (Cyberpunk 2077)

(People who follow me for my sideblog make a Surprised Pikachu Face at this placement) My gross rat bastard man I love you I hate you I love you. An intensely tortured character with arguably more negative personality traits than positive ones, but who he is and even why he is is so engaging and tragic that you almost forget he's supposed to be getting on your nerves for most of the game's runtime. Damn you Keanu Reeves and your effortless dorky charisma.

3. Arthur Morgan (Red Dead Redemption 2)

Arthur baby you deserved the world. An insanely complex character with gray morals and a jaded worldview who could never do right no matter how hard he tried until the one moment where it mattered most. I loved John in RDR1 and didn't really expect to get so attached to Arthur, but R* truly did grab me by the shoulders and said "Bet, bitch". To this day, the fact that I never finished that 200k+ word OC fic disguised as an Arthur character study still haunts me.

4. Korra (Avatar: The Legend of Korra)

As someone who'd watched the original Last Airbender series as it aired when I was a kid, I was super excited for a female Avatar when the series was announced back in...god, was I in high school? The point being-- when the show started really hitting it's stride with Korra's character in season 3 I was beyond hooked, and I loved season 4 probably a lot more than I think I should've, but MAN, was it a fun ride. Korra is a character and a show that both got severely panned and honestly I think once you get out of the mindset that you aren't watching Aang 2.0 you'll have a much funner time.

5. Steve Harrington (Stranger Things)

Maybe not as much in later seasons when they really leaned off his popularity + Joe Keery's charisma, but lemme tell y'all season 2 Steve had me in a bonafide stranglehold for two years. "Character stepping up to a leadership role and then getting forcibly adopted by the people they're leading" is one of my favorite tropes and the reason that it worked so well in S2 is partly because the concern of Steve still kinda/sorta had the potential to swing back towards being the bully archetype he showed shades of in S1, so you got to see his relationship with the kids start off as kinda selfish but grow into a genuine protectiveness. GOD this was a top tier man y'all! We had it so good!

6. Rosa Diaz (Brooklyn 99)

Maybe this is coming off the fact that my roommate and I literally just finished binge watching B99 for like the fifth time? But I forgot how much I actually really liked Rosa. One of the best sitcom deadpan snarkers of recent years and I personally liked that they affirmed that she didn't need to see herself settling down to be happy. I'm glad this role basically launched Stephanie Beatriz's career because she truly is the unsung hero of this show's comedy and heart and never really gets enough credit for it imho.

7. Melissa Schemmenti (Abbott Elementary)

Every single time I watch Abbott Elementary. Every. Single. Time. Someone looks at me when Schemmenti appears on screen and goes "Wow, she acts a lot like you do!". And I have to sigh and nod and pretend I don't see it lol. Though unfortunately our differing football opinions means we would probably end up in a fistfight.

8. Takashi "Shiro" Shirogane (Voltron: Legendary Defender)

I will never forgive the VLD showrunners for dropping a nuke on Shiro's character development. Seasons 1-2 Shiro was some of most fun I've ever had following a protagionist's journey to conquer his inner struggles and solely for that, I still have a massive soft spot for him. Dreamworks think about how you massacred my boy and feel bad for it.

9. Benjamin "Benji" Ovich (Beartown Series)

This gif is from the HBO Nordic series (haven't watched it, desperately still want to, don't know if I even can at this point lol), but I'm specifically talking about Benji from the Beartown book trilogy. He evolves into the series deuteragonist alongside Maya and god, he is just such a tragic character who deserves all the world and more. Go read Beartown and scream at me for it.

10. Joey Tribbiani (Friends)

"Characters I See a Lot of Myself In 2: Electric Boogaloo". Joey is the best friend in the entire cast there I said it. Honestly my ideal relationship is a funny overly-assured man who loves the New York Rangers, loves his friends intensely, and has dumb himbo energy. The loud Italian family is just an added bonus.

PSA: From Chapter 29 and Forward, The Publishing of QuintSum will take a break until I have finished the fic. It's a whole fucking thing to publish and edit consistently and I actually really don't like it that much. So y'all are getting the first 50k ish, and then y'all will have to wait. I'll let y'all know when it's being published again but until then, you'll have to wait until it's finished. (For the record, I'm more than 3/4 through, so it's not like I've given up, I just hate publishing as I go even more than I thought I did.)

What is this? A heavily self-indulgent fanfiction based on Star Stable Online. (In the future this blog will be used to promote all my fanfiction but right now it's exclusive to QuintSum, since it's the only one I'm posting at the moment.)

Where can I read it? I post each new chapter on my Ao3. I will post a blog post here every time I update the fic.

Nice longfic, bro, would be a shame if you dropped it. Fear not. I won't. This fic will be finished, not because I'm going to force myself to, but because I'm probably unable not to. At the time of this pinned update, I am around the halfway point arcs wise. It's going to be finished, and we're all going to be fine. The author has problems and that includes committing and pulling through.

Okay, but how long will it be? Good question! Wish I knew! At least 200k words and at least 100 chapters! There'll be 12 story arcs though! (I have my story structured in arcs, they're the only numbers I can guarantee. I don't plan out chapters before I finish each arc to make my own life easier, so I can't guarantee how many chapters there will be until we finish. I also have a tendency to split chapters during writing because man am I bad at math. The final word count is between Ao3 and SÄPO quite frankly. Who the hell knows.)

Okay sure, but who are you? I have revealed who I am on my main blog, mostly because it's very hard for me not to talk about my fic because I care a lot about it. That is to say, yes, this is a sideblog. (I would like to extend a warning however, if you know my main and follow me on there, I'd suggest to be wary in case you don't want to be spoiled. I'm way ahead in terms of writing and Way ahead in terms of planning. And I Love talking about my fic. So if you want to make sure you're not spoiled, be slightly careful going onto my main.)

Anything else useful I should know? Primarily that this fic contains frequent swearing. This fic is written by an adult, and there is little care to cather to the same audience as SSO does. (This isn't grimdark by any means, it is simply not cathered for a younger audience.) It is also heavily reliant on the author's own interpretation and headcanons. It is very much based off of the main story of SSO, but the author has taken many liberties with what gets done with the material.

Here we are at the end of the line! Parts 1 | 2 | 3 have already been posted earlier this week. Once again, THANK YOU to everyone who follows and supports me! This has honestly been a weirdly productive year in a lot of ways, and in a lot of other ways I have drifted far from my posted WIPs. That’s why this section is:

My Goals for 2023

Word Count: Going a bit ambitious but honestly it’s not that much more than last year: 200K for the year.

Finishing WIPs: EVERY POSTED WIP IS GOING TO GET AN UPDATE THIS YEAR!! That’s my first big goal in this department. But I also want to finish: Ambassador to Madness, The Twelve Transformations of Bilbo Baggins, and Ghost of a Chance.

New WIPs: I would love to get to the point where I can post both “The Wind That Pulls Back the Tide” and “Cursed”. I’ve certainly teased them enough this year that I feel like @dimdiamond​ and @yacrimago​ might disown me.😅 Hopefully, I will have to get my other WIPs far enough in that I feel confident posting a new one!

New Fandoms/Pairings: I would really like to try my hand at Nandermo! I have a few ideas for both long and short fics that I think I can give a go. Otherwise, I really want to expand on hobbits and hobbit lore!! I think I may unveil a new sideblog revealing all my hobbit headcanons and history along with mini-stories from different hobbit POVs. 👀

hello warrior cats community

i am clawing myself up out of my grave to announce that Dusk to Dawn has finally been completed. yeah i just dumped five chapters in there. woo.

now, i did have to condense the last, idk, 13 or so chapters into two parts, just speedrunning the highlights, because i am so tired and busy right now, but the plot is there. it exists. and that's about as much as i can ask for.

so you may assume that that's the end of the story. i mean, D2D was a bit of a mess. it took two and a half years and i spent most of that time on hiatus and tearing my hair out. but what's that quote? the only thing worse than writing is not writing. and at least half of my motivation to finish D2D was to get to the parts that come after.

which means that, yes, i'm still going to continue my rewrite. i just have to reevaluate and adjust.

the initial plan was for all parts to have roughly the same level of scale as D2D (which was planned to have ~200k words), or be even longer. this is because i have adhd and dangerous levels of optimism. i know there are people out there who can sustain themselves for multiple hundreds of thousands of words writing fictional cat rewrites, but i am not one of them. i can't do that, realistically.

so, i'm scaling back. PO3/Three of Swords and OOTS/Sign of the Four are both going to be around 50-70k. aiming toward the lower end there, but i know i have a tendency to, uh, go slightly overboard. see above. this way, i have a better chance of finishing both fics in a timely manner, and for 3OS especially, i won't have to drag the beaten corpses of plotlines that have been established for half of D2D on forever and ever.

what this also means is that i'm going to do a LOT of cutting and reshuffling. if it wasn't already clear, 3OS is not going to really attempt to stick to canon at all, not like D2D. we're going off the rails bonkers. Rule of Cool, etc etc. SOT4 will likely be the same.

and what comes after that? well, i'm so glad you asked. i've mentioned before that my plan for the end of OOTS is to have the clans only technically win the great battle. a pyrrhic victory, if you will (guess who just learned that phrase, hehe).

after that happens, there will be an interlude fic, probably about 50-70k as well, but potentially longer because i really love the concept. currently the working title for that is Pyrrhic/Pyrrhus. i might change it. it's already had several title changes. but it exists!

after THAT, if i'm still hanging around, i'd love to do an AVOS rewrite. that's about as far as my ambition extends, though. the problem is that post-OOTS, the clans' population is devastated (seriously, they need to lose way more cats) and their culture completely changes because, well, duh. that makes it very hard for the story to bear any kind of resemblance to a canon built around the old four clans. like, most of the cast of AVOS/TBC simply would not be born bc their parents died.

but yeah. we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

as far as a timeline goes, optimistically i'd like to start posting Three of Swords by the end of 2023. yeah, that's a long way away. i'm busy, y'all, and the Most Ideal thing would be to have it almost completely done so we don't end up trapped in another 2.5 year disaster.

if you would like to encourage the fic to move faster, you can feed my brainworms by asking me stuff or throwing ideas my way! on this blog, preferably. i know i made a sideblog for the 'verse, but i don't feel like dealing with it right now. i'll leave it up in case i change my mind, though.

the chronicles of dean's bisexuality by mnwood (@deancasheadcanons on tumblr but not all that active anymore). 200k, rated e. essentially a retelling of supernatural if dean were canonically and openly bisexual from the start. i read this when it was still being updated way back a million years ago, and i re-read it recently to see if it still holds up, and it does.

tall grass by aeli_kindara. 57k, rated e. post-series retirement fic (blessedly written before the actual end of the series, and therefore good). cas starts a garden and i spend the rest of my life recommending this fic to people.

assimilation by komodobits. 5k, rated m. set nebulously after 12x01 when mary comes back, follows her adjusting to 21st century life, trying to figure out what the deal is with dean and cas and if she's okay with what she finds. i think about this fic all the time and i wish there were more like it.

seek to know you better by ahurston. 32k, rated e. dean and cas tackle the "36 questions that lead to love" while roadtripping. this is one of those fics where i wish id written it myself, it's that good.

according to all known laws of life by sobsicles. 29k, rated e, post-s15 fix-it. cas comes back from the empty, and dean is an asshole about things, so cas is an asshole right back. no one writes bitchy cas like sobsicles. absolute fucking goldmine.

oh sooner or later it all comes down to faith by sobsicles. 62k, rated e, post-canon heaven ending. more bitchy cas excellence from sobsicles, this time with a side of john winchester getting beaten the fuck up. genuinely perfect in every way.

dean and cas' top 13 zepp traxx by pantheon_of_discord. 82k, rated e. a bunch of case fics all rolled into one, linked by led zeppelin songs and tracking dean and cas's relationship as it goes from platonic to more or less marital. i cannot stress enough how good this fic is. i read it all in one sitting like 3 days before christmas and it i have thought about it every single day since without fail.

docharvard’s stardew mega modlist v.2

howdy doody everyboody!

my last modlist did pretty well with regards to notes, but there have been some major changes to both stardew and my modlist since then, so i thought it was high time i made a new one! once again, this is mostly graphical overhauls, with a few gameplay tweaks and cheats here and there. most of these mods are fairly popular, so chances are you would already know them, but i hope this compilation finds its use anyway. now, without further ado, the list starts under the cut!

one final warning before i proceed, as of today 21st of February 2020, some of these mod’s official releases do not work with Stardew 1.4.5, but they do have unofficial patches floating around on the forums that update them to work with this patch, and i will be linking to those instead of the official releases for those mods (you will need a chucklefish forums account to download them). if you see this in a few months or weeks time from when it is posted, it is probably in your best interests to check the official releases for updates.

ENGINES/PRE REQS most of, if not all, the mods on this list will require some combination of the following engines to run. i know nothing about coding, so i cannot give an apt description of what they do or how they work, but trust me, you will need them. if you don’t download all of the mods in this list, you might not need all of them, check the requirements segment on a mods nexus page to see which of these engines you will need to run it.

SMAPI - SMAPI is the modding API for Stardew, necessary for all modding (besides old xnb mods).

QUALITY OF LIFE mods that don’t change the game significantly, but slightly improve the base mechanics to make it easier/better.

Auto Animal Doors - automatically opens all barn and coop doors at a set time every morning, and closes it once all animals are back inside at night.

Big Silo - increases the hay capacity of silos to around 200k.

Casks Everywhere - gives the player the ability to put casks anywhere, instead of only in the basement of the house.

Crop Transplant - gives the player the ability to move crops and trees without destroying them.

Mod Update Menu - puts a handy-dandy extra button on the main menu that shows you your modlist and whether any mods are out of date. clicking on a mod in the list will take you to its web page, if you want to download the updated version. (sometimes, like SMAPIs console, it is wrong. occasionally will tell you a mod is out of date when it isn’t, but is more often right than wrong.)

No Crows - removes crows, no more losing crops to those thieving corvid so-and-so’s.

No Fence Decay - fences no longer decay and break down over time. they stand for time immeasurable, like the monolith in space odyssey, or the empty shell of a blockbuster video.

Safe Lightning - lightning will only strike lightning rods, or if none are available, it will not strike at all.

Stack Everything - gives the player the ability to stack every item in the game, items like casks can now be stacked instead of having a 1:1 ratio in inventory/chest space.

UI Info Suite - ui overhaul(ish) that adds things like being able to see if you’ve pet an animal that day, whether the travelling merchant is in town, what your luck is for the day, or how many days a crop/keg has until it’s finished, etc. this mod is a must have for any playthrough, even if you’re going completely vanilla. possibly the most useful mod that exists for stardew.

GAME TWEAKS things that add mechanics or change gameplay. immersion (i don’t know what else to call it)

Babies Take After Spouse - makes your children actually look like the offspring of your chosen spouse. also adds some more outfits for toddlers, if you’re into that.

Canon Friendly Dialogue Expansion - adds a metric buttload of new dialogue for all of the friendable characters, in case you’re sick of seeing the same four sentences on loop.

Cat Gifts - bit of a misnomer, makes your pet (either cat or dog) occasionally bring you gifts of random items. it’s pretty darn cute.

Climates of Ferngill - expands the games weather system, as well as tweaking the original one, to add new things like fog, and weather that changes over the span of a day instead of being one set thing.

Eemie’s Bees - adds bees! they hang around your beehives! very cute!

Lunar Disturbances - adds a rad lunar system to the game, including an overhead moon that goes through phases. also adds stuff like eclipses and blood moons.

Mizu’s Flowers - adds so many new flowers to the game. frankly, it’s quite homophobic how few variations are in the base game.

Oasis Greenhouse - completely reworks the greenhouse to be way bigger (on the inside, it doesn’t take up more space on the actual farm) and have more rooms in which to do greenhouse things, like spots to grow trees.

Seasonal Villager Outfits - stardew residents will now change clothes on the reg, including during different events, depending on the weather, and with the seasons.

Slime Hutch Winery - retextures the slime hutch to look Not Garbage, and adds a customisable inside space that you can combine with Casks Everywhere to make a usable winery.

cheats there is only one mod in this section but i couldn’t figure out what other section to put it in.

CJB Cheats Menu - it’s a cheats menu. for cheating. amongst normal cheaty things like infite health and stamina, gives you the ability to increase your movement speed, and harvest crops with a scythe, which i find immensely useful.

AESTHETIQUE who needs the orignal graphics when you’ve got soft pastel versions? most of these are by elle, aka junimods. she’s good at aesthetic overhauls, sue me.

Bathroom Replaces Spouse Room - replaces the spouse room with one of three nicer looking bathrooms, in case your spouse has decided to have an unchangeable hideous colour scheme that does not go with the rest of your house, like all of them do.

Better Artisan Goods - retextures the artisan goods (milk, cheese, fruits, etc) to look prettier/more accurate.

Elle’s Cat Replacements - highly customisable cat retexture, including fur patterns, and the colour of its collar.

Elle’s Critter and Butterfly Replacements - retextures the little critters and butterflies that hang around the valley.

Fic you spent the least time on: and everything was gray, my Grace Choi/Thundergrace introspective piece, was about an hour in the making and I published it just as fast on Ao3, so I think that one wins here. I just knew what I wanted for that fic right away.

Longest fic: Bound By Silver Tongue because is anyone really surprised... it’s probably going to wind up being just under 200k when I’m done too...

Shortest fic: You’ve Got Fine Written All Over You wasn’t intended to be published on Ao3 at all, but I got the idea for the Parkwesthawne fic for the Flarrowverse Rarepair Shipyard Week last year and I couldn’t resist.

Most hits: My fic with the most hits, Dark Stars, still stuns me years later, even though it’s much older and not DCTV, because it was a prompt fill and it’s the fourth?? Most kudosed fic?? In the fandom?? Last time I checked, at least? However, for DCTV, I’m not surprised that Bound By Silver Tongue has the second most, being a popular ship and a multichapter fic. Still, I love all 3146 of you who’ve given this baby a second of your time.

Most kudos: Dark Stars is still the most kudosed fic of mine, but I’m genuinely surprised - and pleased! - to see that Slow and Steady, my Coldflash ace!Barry fic, is the next most kudosed. I adored writing that fic since it hit close to home, and to see it so high up makes my day. <3

Fave fic you wrote: This one is hard to decide, because I don’t like to reread my fics, especially the older ones. However, I think it comes down to two in a tie for me, for fic I most enjoyed writing and enjoy rereading: Slow and Steady, my mentioned ace!Barry Coldflash fic, and Little and Broken, a birthday gift I wrote for @agentmarymargaretskitz of a Legends of Tomorrow Lilo & Stitch au. Both are very near and dear to my heart and I had the most fun writing them, even if the latter fic took wayyyyy longer to finish than I intended.

Fic you want to rewrite/expand on: Despite all my unfinished fics (and there are....so many), one that I’m very excited to expand upon once I finish Bound By Silver Tongue is my new (and hopefully much shorter) multichapter fic Treasures Untold. It’s a Coldwestallen Mummy au that a lot of you expressed interest in me continuing after this tentative first chapter, so I’m hoping I can get back to it soon because it was very fun to write.

Share a bit of your WIP or share a story idea that you’re planning: Aside from Bound By Silver Tongue being my number one priority to finish, one WIP idea that I’ve been fighting to complete is a Coldflash Greek mythology au based on Hades and Persephone! There are a couple of really good aus of this myth out for this ship and DCTV fandoms in general on Ao3 - seriously, go look them up - but this idea I got way back in 2018 and have just been too busy to write. I don’t want to spoil the plot, but let’s just say who Persephone is affects the fic very much, and will likely surprise no one once they realize what relationships outside of Coldflash I’m focusing on. Maybe someday I’ll be able to get this fic out there, because I think people would like it even if this is a very self-indulgent idea.

So, explanation for new followers since the beginning of the great hiatus:

In an attempt to give the Crumplebot’s random censorship generator less to work with, some time ago I split off each of the sim neighborhoods I’m sharing to their own sideblogs. On the plus side, it does seem to help with the random flagging (for the record, if you’re here for NSFW stuff, you’ll be disappointed; very much not my brand); on the minus side, this means anyone who wants to follow all my neighborhoods has to follow all the sideblogs, which is inconvenient. Life is rough.

So since finishing the 200K Good Omens fanfic, I’ve been able to put together some Strangetown stuff and I started posting over there again. One day rotations, bouncing between town and La Fiesta Tech from one play session to another, few-to-no backstory fill-ins, if you play this game you’ll figure it out and if you don’t...maybe you’ll figure it out anyway. I bet you’re smart.

Uh...hey. Wow. Mod B here. So, it’s been years since season 8 aired and I finally gave up on Voltron. I consume fan content sometimes, but Voltron is something that honestly just makes me angry.

There are some things that went off the rails or have terrible creators and I consume fan works born of spite, but Voltron is just kind of a sore spot for me. Lauren and Joaquim honestly feel like they went out of their way to do shitty things and make shitty writing choices and I really resent them for it honestly, because I genuinely devoted so much time and energy into loving Voltron, and loving Klance. I genuinely made it such a big part of my life when it absolutely did not deserve that much of my love. It did not deserve that 200k+ self insert comfort fic I worked on when I was upset. It did not deserve to fill up an entire sketchbook of mine with character redesigns and outfits and practicing the same 6 characters over and over again. It did not deserve all the tears I cried when I realized just how little it’s creators cared about it, or fans like me.

But, enough emotional crap. I promised myself I wouldn’t cry over Voltron anymore all the way back in eighth grade.

Now for the real reason I started typing up this post. In case it wasn’t clear by the years of inactivity and my aforementioned hatred of Voltron, this blog will probably never be updated again. I never thought I’d really have to make this post, but this afternoon there was a sudden wave of around 40 people who all went through and liked multiple posts before following, and I really don’t want to keep anyone’s hopes up.

I might think seriously about deleting it if I could, but as this is a sideblog I shared and not one I owned, I can’t. I actually can’t even view the inbox last I checked. The other mod like me, Ari, deactivated her Tumblrs a month or so after I joined the blog, and the owner, Rachel, deactivated last year. We were friends, but I really don’t know what she’s up to now. I think she’s in her first year of college, and I wish her well. I never really spoke with Ari, but I hope she’s also well.

I also feel I should come clean to you, or rather, the few of you who have any idea what I’m talking about, that I lied about my age when I joined this blog and met Rachel back in 2017. I was only 12 at the time, but I told everyone I was 14. I’m actually 15 now, and I think my writing and other content has improved in these past 3 years. Anyone who’d like to keep up with me can follow my real blog, @youngdumbamericanteen where I reblog and post stuff for a variety of fandoms, mostly Avatar the Last Airbender/Zutara. I still write for a multitude of fandoms, even though I don’t post it that often, and if you have a salt prompt/request for Voltron I might even be persuaded to write it.

1. Why did you choose your URL?

I wanted to make a blog about my journey to a career in medicine, and it's vague so it will still apply if I keep using this blog as a physician. "Em" is a nickname of mine, I would feel weird having my full name in my URL.

Nope.

3. How long have you been on tumblr?

Since 2014, I think. I had a personal blog for memes, which is now deactivated. Then I had a studyblr sideblog in 2016? but I deactivated that too. I started this blog in 2018.

4. Do you have a queue tag?

Nope. I love scrolling through the different studyblr and medblr tags and liking posts, but I rarely reblog stuff. I really appreciate the content that everyone puts out but I like that my blog is just my own thoughts, pictures, and posts.

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

Copying & pasting from my intro post 3 years ago (I had to scroll way back in the archive for this one, folks):

Over the last couple years I’ve found it to be a much more inclusive and academically positive community than I originally expected.

I want to get more involved and interact with all of you lovely people, which is difficult to do when i’m using a side blog.

There are a lot of cool resources and people from all over the globe who are studying medicine which I think is awesome.

This blog is kind of an electronic timeline for me since I’m not a traditional student who is applying to go to med school straight out of undergrad. I have ended up taking a somewhat roundabout route, and it’s a fun way to document, which I’d like to keep up in medical school when I get there.

6. Why did you choose your icon?

Coffee is a very stereotypical studyblr picture to post, but whatever. I remember this was a delicious cappuccino from a cafe I really like, I was wearing my favorite nailpolish and a comfy old sweater, and I think the photo just has calm vibes.

7. Why did you choose your header?

It's the same as my icon.

8. What is your post with the most notes?

This post. I think it resonated with a lot of people who are uncertain about coming out of lockdown and what "a return to normal" means, given the huge sociopolitical upheaval and conflicting messages about how "the pandemic is over" when there continue to be highly uneven vaccination rates and unequal access to healthcare both within countries and around the globe.

I don't keep track, but it's really great to virtually cheer everyone on as they pursue their interests and figure things out.

Too much, honestly, but less than other apps. I recently got a book from the library called "How To Break Up With Your Phone" because I am definitely addicted and the pandemic made my screen usage worse.
