I don't think people are over-feminizing him, I think fandom people tend to over-masculinize him honestly. Let's be real, he is canonically feminine/gender neutral in appearance and manner in the show whether people like it or not (and being/looking feminine doesn't mean he can't be a top for the people who prefer top Alastor). He's not a hunky looking guy and doesn't act like a suave masculine king, he's a bizarre twink who does wrist flicks, eats rotting carcasses off the ground, and breaks his own bones just to freak people out and I like when fanart reflects his canonical appearance/behavior

Alastor has masculine vibes for sure, he's got that ✨range✨ but I agree that is is typically more feminine/gender neutral overall. Honestly, I think I might actually like top Alastor if he were more feminine/gender neutral.

I've seen some Radiostatic fanart with Alastor topping while still being portrayed like his show-self, and I was so into it. There is now one ship where I can see Alastor topping, and that is with Alastor/Vox.
