It helped that he liked Casey, if it had been a complete stranger he may have been a dick for no reason and decided to not include used, "What are ya reading?" He normally wouldn't ask, but he was trying harder to make his friendships more meaningful. "Anything good? Something to get an advantage over me in D&D?" Most people had an advantage over him in Dungeons and Dragons, to be fair.

Casey was a regular at the game shop. It was one of the first places he sought out when he moved. Casey knew he could find community there and like minded people to get to know. Casey had come in in hopes of finding some drop in game going on. He had a couple of his Magic decks in his book bag just in case. Casey was happy to see Omar in. "Oh yeah? Does that apply on the used comics or just the new stuff?" He asked. Casey was reading through the Animorphs series again so he really didn't need any new comics but he liked to keep them around. Even just thumbing through art was inspiration for him.

Have you ever wondered...how do we really know that Casey Junior was telling the truth about coming from the future to warn the turtles?

And you might be thinking: well, obviously because we saw him with future Leo and Mikey at the beginning of the movie, right? But we're the audience, so we're shown that part. But the present day turtles? They have no idea who CJ is. They've never seen this kid before in their lives and yet he insists that he knows them- or at least, future versions of them- and that he's here to stop them from making a terrible mistake.

Now, we get a bit of mistrust in the "interrogation" sequence, with many questions from the turtles regarding why Casey is here and why he has the picture, but CJ isn't really able to provide physical evidence. The Donnie trademarked gear could be stolen, and... suspiciously convenient, the one picture he has is one without CJ himself in it.

All of this is to say that, when you rewatch the scene, you'll notice what actually convinces the turtles to believe CJ is his knowledge of the Krang. When he mentions that word, Splinter gives a frightening recount of the Krang lore, and then everybody sort of agrees that preventing the Krang from invading is important so they decide to trust Casey.

But that's...interesting, isn't it? That CJ's foolproof connection to their reality is the Krang?

Here's my idea: what if Casey didn't actually know the turtles at all? What if he was sent by the Krang?

Think about it: an agent of the Krang sent backwards in time to ensure the invasion takes place at a time when the turtles are most vulnerable. A point in time where they could strike early and take out their biggest opposition (the turtles) while they're young, overconfident, and unaware. Casey was supposedly sent to "warn" them, but what if his true mission was to sabotage them all along?

TLDR: I'm just saying a fic/au where Casey is a villain agent sent by the Krang to sabotage the turtles would be really cool

Oo and think of the design possibilities- his mask could look more like a Krang mask, or have like Krang tentacles on the inside, or be like a form of communication with them!? He'd be such a twist villain too, can you imagine!?

BABIES in this AU

After the creation of Universe C, the quantity of children and grubs was too high for the few adults to contain it. Therefore no kid/grub is raised by parents, but rather by the community, with ""orphanages"" built to contain the kids/grubs and carapacians taking care of them.

To take care of them there are also John and Roxy — who do that constantly — Jade and Dave — who have a farm, and contribute with the food — and Rose and Kanaya — who find adults to adopt the kids (as something exceptional; having parents isn't the norm here). The others help more sporadically.

Every couple has their own adopted child:

Rose & Kanaya: Jaiden Maryam-Lalonde

Dave & Jade: Bell, Bark, Doll Strider-Harley [they help with the farm].

John & Roxy: Since they work 24/7 with ALL the kids, they don't really have one, but they're really affectionate to Lars (and Casey OBVIOUSLY).

Jane: As a single mother, she decided to raise Naya and Ashvik Crocker

Karkat doesn't want kids to raise due his culture — he has no idea how to and doesn't want to — but he still helps when he can, mostly on education.

Jake and Dirk keep having a date&breakup situationship, that drives Jake crazy and so they can barely keep up with kids in general — so of course no adoption.

You were in the kitchen filling up a sippy cup for Casey, while Leo helped change his pull-up. The day had started off slowly. One of those days that were just too good. If it wasn’t for the multiple times you’ve clumsily hurt yourself you’d think the past few months were all just a dream. You plated some apples, for Casey to snack on, and you made your way to Leo’s room, where you knew they'd be waiting.

Moving the curtain, you enter the room. Leo laid on his shell. Junior laid cuddled to the turtle, sucking lightly on his thumb. Leo theatrically read a Jupitor Jim comic to the younger boy who starred in wonderment. A smile sat softly on your face at the sight. As much as you didn’t want to interrupt you knew Casey needed his snack before he got moody. He wouldn’t throw a tantrum, he'd just get sad, and neither you nor Leo could take that sight.

“I hate to interrupt,” You said sweetly. “But I come with treats.” You sat on the edge of the bed and held up the plate.

Casey bounced up happily reaching for the plate.

“Woah! Slow down buddy, haha.” Leo laughed at the boy's reaction.

Casey giggled back as you sat the plate in his lap. “Tank oo!” He cooed out.

“I’m not done yet,” You laugh. “Brought your favorite drink too! Just don’t tell Uncle Tello I let you have more hehe.” You whisper to him playfully.

“Oo got chocate milk?” His eyes glow with joy.

“Of course they did, Case! You're our best boy and we need to keep you happy don’t we?” Leo answers smoothly.

Your smile grows as Junior excitedly drinks from the bottle while Leo tries to slow the human boy down. Once Casey does stop he starts to greedily shove apples into his mouth. Casey always has a hard time eating slowly since growing up in the apocalypse meant little food and little time. You and Leo, despite some of the others' opinions, encourage him to “play” with his food so he doesn’t eat too fast. By the time the boy shoved the third apple slice into his mouth Leo had already grabbed toothpicks from a portal. 

You helped make little animals out of toothpicks and apple bits. Pretending they were silly or evil little creatures for Casey to take a bite of. It was fun for all parties. Especially when Casey decided he was now a vicious dinosaur. You laugh as Leo makes dramatic noises as the little chomped down on another apple animal.

The fun came to a calming end when Juniour let out a quiet yawn. He tried denying it, but it was too late. Leo had wrapped up the human in his arms and flopped down on the bed. You climb in on the other side and giggle as Casey abandons Leo's arms for your own. 

“How dare?!” Leo gasps loudly. He scoops both you and Casey up and cuddles you both tightly.

You and Junior laugh loudly at him. “Relax, Papanardo. We all know you’re our little boy's favorite, but you have to admit I do give better hugs hehe.” You jokingly tell him.

Gasping once again Leo shouts. “That is so not true I’m the best cuddler and I’ll prove it!” 

Leo grabs a few blankets that were thrown about and places them on top of the three of you. Casey giggles as his face is covered by one of the many covers. You pull the blanket from his face and he scootches closer to you. Leo pulls the two of you impossibly closer and smiles.

Casey coos back at the two of you and whispers out “G’night.”

You both leave sweet kisses on Casey’s cheek, and you wish your baby a good nap.

I’m not sure if you mean Leo is sent back when they lost the key or saved the key and is teleported to the future timeline… it’s very late and I should be asleep hehe so pardon if I get the question wrong hehe

But!

The date that Leo goes back in time is the exact same day, but decades apart! I’d like to think the Krang invaded the same day the Future Hamatos come to terms with their loss (when F!Leo says they lost and sends Casey Jr to the past in the movie)

At least, I like it for this fic idea hehe

So, Lil Leo is teleported to the future before the events of the Krang invasion—before he loses the key in the present. This is 5 months before the events of the movie overall!

Lil Leo is basically learning about the Krang for the first time when he travels to the future hehe

But, again!

When Lil Leo returns to his timeline, he technically comes back 5 months later post-disappearance! So, in his timeline, he had been missing for nearly 5 months :D

F!Mikey creates a time gateway almost a day before the key is stolen and the Krang emerge! He would’ve made it so the gateway sent Lil Leo back in time to before the 5 months spent in the future, but he was working on a tight schedule at the time hehe!

Lil Leo and Casey Jr then make it their mission to prevent the key being stolen and accomplish it perfectly, as promised to Lee :D

The morning normally made Master Frown gag. The sunlight was too sunny and bright and the birds that found their way to Frowntown from the Unikingdom sounded too cheery. Still, he sprung from his bed and rushed to the small kitchen for some cereal. Brock nudged a bowl towards an empty seat and lifted an eyebrow.

"Ya look chipper, bro. Ya feelin' alright?"

"You know that Syspocalypstarian popstar? WyldSyle?" Frown said most of these words with a lot of disdain, but there was an underlying excitement behind them.

"Uh... yeah. Isn't she coming to the Unikingdom to look for talent for her label?" Brock's eyebrow stayed lifted. He gasped in realization. "Oo! Are ya gonna show her your sick wooden spoon moves?"

"NO!" The reply was quick and harsh. "I have an opportunity to make everyone miserable!"

"I'm glad you still do this stuff as a hobby, but can you take a break for once? I totally wanna go to see if she has some demo records, but I don't wanna get kicked out." Brock moaned as he finished his cereal.

"No! I have a plan, Brock! A method to my means. You can still get some records while we're there if you come in after me!"

"Alright, babe. Let's go." By this point, Frown had finished his cereal and was running for the modest beat up car the two drove. "Oh. Yeah, I'll lock up. Pretty sure we've got some cookies left. I'll bring those." He grabbed a plate of two or three cookies, dumped them in a plastic bag, then left for the car.

It felt like a very short drive, of which Brock was glad since all Frown wanted to talk about was the chaos he was about to spread. They pulled into a small building close to the edge of the city. A crowd had already gathered as a banner flapped in the wind that announced that Running on Caffeine was looking for new talent. Three minidoll vampires with crystalline hair zipped through the crowd, grabbing different discs and thumb drives. Brock waved one over and handed her the cookies. Frown shook his head, which Brock saw.

"Everyone likes cookies, Casey," was all he said as the crystal vampires began to sing in a chorus.

"Single file! Single file! You all may not be able to see the heads, but we've got your demos!" Most of the people in the crowd filed in a haphazard line that was already starting to wrap around the block. At first, Frown's eyebrows furrowed. Soon enough, he had pushed his way into the line. A chorus of 'hey! no cutting!' chimed behind him, but he turned around and blew the crowd a raspberry. Brock followed behind and waited for his boyfriend's next move.

This move was to pull out a megaphone.

"Hey! We listened to your demo tapes and none of you have any talent!" Frown really didn't need the microphone. He was loud enough on his own to make a good portion of the crowd disburse. Some musicians that wore their genre on their sleeve remained, glaring at Frown. " None of you have what it takes to make it in the industry!" The crowd thinned a little more. " You may as well give up now! It's all downhill from he-!"

Frown was suddenly thrown from his position to the rainbow colored concrete. A woman stood above him, her ponytail whipping in the wind that kicked up as she moved. Her dark eyes looked down upon him, the aura she exuded making most of the people closest to him back off. One name was whispered as the crowd looked on: WyldStyle.

" I'm gonna need you to leave. These people are nervous enough without you heckling them." The woman cracked her knuckles as Frown scrambled to his feet.

" I'm not going anywhere until he shows up." He folded his arms and stomped one foot.

"Who? My partner isn't a guy. Everyone you're going to deal with is female, if that's your problem." She rolled her eyes and pulled her arm back to throw a punch.

"Isn't your buddy Rex Dangervest?" There was silence for a beat before WyldStyle spoke again.

"What does he have anything to do with this?" Her words hung in the air like a sword on a thin wire.

" Aren't you gonna call him?" WyldSyle grabbed Frown by both shoulders.

"Why would I call him?"

"He... He's usually the guy Queen Unidork calls when Hawkodile isn't available?" All of the resolve Frown had dissolved. WyldStyle rolled her eyes and threw the threatened punch.

"And I'm usually the one he calls when he needs someone's butt kicked." With one swift throw into their car, WyldStyle returns to her post and Frown was driven home.

Oo I've never thought of this. So, a bit of worldbuilding here. Yokai music tastes vary based on region, since many are "stuck" in different periods of time. So Casey, for instance, who hails from a region very influenced by the American 1920s, can only tolerate jazz. Being in New York, however, Caiji has no such differences. She's as up to date as anyone from Neo Edo. She also rarely listens to music, much less for recreational pleasure. But one secret is that she's such a huge sucker for anything ballroom related. Waltzing and the like. Including orchestras, quartets, things of that nature. Classical music

And one last thing, she hates "underground" artists, as they typically shame or criticize her style of government

A misconception with Boombox

This is Boombox, the leader of Team Tune in the 2013 and 2015 series. The image on the left is his 2013 and 2015 series design, white the image on the right is his upcoming series design which was revealed back in 2018.

Boombox is one of the male characters in Object Overload that fans confuse for being female, due to his 2013-2015 design's color scheme of black and purple and his voice sounding more feminine to viewers.

A common misconception with Boombox is that he was made female in the 2015 series. The only problem with this is that there is no official proof that Boombox is canonically female in the 2015 series, and it was seemingly made up by people who assumed that Boombox was female.

In sharp contrast, there is some proof that points towards Boombox being male back in the 2013 series. The old Object Overload wiki, while not normally a good source for information, does have revisions to pages from a time where it wasn't riddled with rumors. Some of these revisions were made by Niall, creator of OO.

Such is the case with this revision for the page for Boombox.

There is also this comment, again from the old wiki.

It is also confirmed in the episode "Lost and Found", with this quote from Clock.

Who does that backstabber think he is? THEY SWITCH THE SIGN!! We did NOT switch the sign!

"He" in this case is referring to Boombox, as evident by the conversation he has with Casey immediately after.

In contrast, Boombox is not referred to with any pronouns in the only 2015 series episode, "Rostrum Rampage", making it hard to pinpoint his gender there.

It is also worth noting that Niall had initially written Boombox as a "musical misfit" who was deceivingly capable as a leader. However, Boombox has never acted silly in an episode, only the part where he is capable of leading a team is shown.

This misconception has been believed by many since 2017, and we are trying to prevent the spread of false information while finding new factual information about the show. This is why information provided outside of the episodes should be cited with real evidence.

If April, Jenny and Lita were human before, you could totally make that an important point. If you make a villain character related to one of them it could be really fun. Either making them work with Cynthia or be against her for mutating their kid (I'm assuming it was a purposeful mutation by Cynthia for them, though feel free to correct)

Mona and Angel replace April and Casey's role I'm assuming? How do they get involved in the turtle's shenanigans, and do you have any interesting backstories in mind for them?

Hi!! Yes!!! Ye I totally want to try delve into how the girls being human effected things-like, Lita unfortunately was likely an orphan with no known connections, Cynthia would have targeted little kids like that because no one would go looking for them. But for April? I think maybe she can still have had her dad (or her Auntie!), she was probably a missing person and her family is probably still out there with no clue what happened to her. April was fairly recklessly inquisitive even as a small child, so she quite literally curiously wandered into this entire mess when she was little. There’s definitely potential in her old family trying to find her again. And oo yeah, I’ll have to think about maybe giving one if them a villain connection!

And you’re absolutely correct about Angel and Mona taking the Casey and April roles!! Okay so-

Mona in this is a young scientist/intern who starts off actually working for Cynthia in the very beginning (although not exactly by choice) so when the girls finally start to truly look into their origins, they meet her! Similar to 87, Mona’s goal is sabotage from the inside, playing along with things while learning all she can to put a stop to things. This isn’t set in stone, but I had the idea that maybe her and Mondo are siblings? Both because I think that could be cute, but also to help serve as more personal motivation for Mona. Mondo was another one of the kids taken for experiments, and Cynthia is holding a potential cure for her brother over Mona’s head to keep her under control.

Angel meanwhile is vigilant-ing it up as Nobody! I haven’t quite decided how she first meets the turtles yet, but! I thought it could be fun to switch the usual Casey and Angel dynamic, rather than Angel being involved with a criminal gang (the purple dragons) it’s instead Casey who got themselves wrapped up with the Foot Clan. So Casey in this will be very Rise inspired AHA, original acting as an older sibling for Angel before they got mixed up with the wrong people. Angel is a very shutoff character at the start because of this, feeling abandoned.

Also speaking of Rise inspiration-for now I think Angel doesn’t have anything close to the suit she gets in IDW, however I think later it could be fun to introduce it when the stakes start to get higher, and maybe Kendra is the one who builds it for her? So still creating a purple dragons connection!
