Barriers to Community Access Disability
Community Access Disability is a service that helps differently-abled individuals navigate the logistics of venturing out into their communities to complete errands, attend appointments (doctor, dentist, physiotherapist, speech and language therapy, NDIS, etc.) or to participate in their chosen recreational activities. This is a very important life skill, as it is essential for independence and inclusion in society.
Community access services can help people with disabilities gain the confidence, skills, and support they need to become independent adults. They can assist with activities such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, banking and paying bills, driving, navigating public transport and communication. They also help participants to develop and hone their socialization, adaptive, and communication skills so they can engage in day-to-day activities without the need for a support worker.
While the services offered by Community Access Disability can help people with disabilities achieve their goals, there are still many barriers that prevent them from doing so. These can be personal, interpersonal, community, or systemic. For example, when a person with a disability feels that they are not valued or seen as a productive member of their community, it can negatively impact their ability to enjoy and access community assets and services.
Another barrier is the lack of disability awareness, and the fact that some people do not understand or accept their own disabilities. This is a very complex issue and one that will require the full involvement of government, private companies, and other organizations that work with people with disabilities to create a more inclusive environment.
A good way to start is by creating a public awareness campaign that emphasizes the importance of empowering people with disabilities to make their own choices and decisions. This can include encouraging them to take advantage of real-life skills training, and helping them to pinpoint their strengths and interests, as well as their vision of success in the community. This will ensure that people with disabilities feel empowered to pursue the facets of their community they want to connect to and are not confined by preconceived ideas about what they should or should not do.
Lastly, systemic barriers can be overcome by developing an inter-agency partnership that allows different stakeholders to communicate effectively and collaborate on disability issues. A recent initiative in Colombia has demonstrated how this can be done through the use of a tool developed by OODH called a “Community Infrastructure Meeting.”
The tool was designed to identify community obstacles that can hinder accessibility, and to promote solutions for those barriers. By allowing members of the community to present their own needs and solutions, the tool also helped build capacity for community-based advocacy. As a result, the Colombian project team was able to see results in the form of increased community accessibility. This was a significant achievement that can be replicated in other communities to help people with disabilities achieve their desired outcomes. To learn more about this and other community advocacy tools, check out this webpage on the mesothelioma legal team website.
My Horizon Community Services was created for people with special needs, friends and families who need a better way to access individualised disability support. two definite fruitchouli endorsed scents.. i’ve loved black aoud for years but in the past year or so i’ve come to really enjoy its sister scent white aoud… black aoud is definitely the more interesting bolder more thrilling of the two which is why i took note of it first but white aoud has a wonderful ease for an oud and is generally much more pleasant than black aoud.. i find them a very charming pair

Hi! First of all, congrats on 1k! I love your writings💖
Can I request Rindou, Priest, Sinful?
Used the Shinto version of a priest for this one, and it really ended working out well (phew). Thank you so much for your request; I enjoyed writing it a lot! ❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨

song recommendation:
The incense around the shrine drifts into your nostrils, and instantly, you're transported back to your childhood - your first time running into Tenjin, the god of poetry.
He came to you on a warm, summer evening as you lay in the middle of a field. He smelled of oodh and rose petals, and granted you the gift of writing and a way with words you could only attribute to divine intervention.
You hadn't been to the kami's shrine in a long time because of your fame and travels, but upon your return to your home, it was on your list of places to visit.
"Welcome," the kannushi whispers as you enter, his blue and blonde hair pulled back behind his ears. He's lighting incense and walking around the shrine with his back to you, and you wander around the garden, observing the wisteria and plum trees lining the path. You can hear the priest following behind you, but you ignore him as you stare into the pools full of large tortoises and fish. You see the priest stop beside you, his purple eyes looking at your shared reflection.
"Have you come for something specific?"
"No," you murmur, watching a fish approach then swim away just as quickly.
"Something on your mind, perhaps?" You turn your head to the priest, looking up at his visage with a sideways glance.
"How did you know?" The man laughs, crossing his hands behind his back and walking around you.
"It's written on your face." You continue to walk beside the priest, fingering the tassels on your sleeves.
"I've been so successful with my poetry and traveled around the country experiencing many things, but... it all seems so hollow. I've hit a block, and every time I set my pen down to write something new, I cannot..."
Your admission of defeat is the first time you've said anything aloud about your struggles, and you expect to be rebuked by the priest, but he just nods and encourages you to go on with his silence.
"I need inspiration."
"You might find inspiration in the way the wind blows the wisteria trees, or how the tortoise walks upon the sands of the pond. Perhaps inspiration is just an illusion, though." At his words, you frown, unsure of what to say. "Perhaps the very idea of inspiration is a man-made concept to explain the movement between nature and the mind, and how we are all one."
You purse your lips and look away, wondering if the priest had one too many hits of opium before the day began.
"Or maybe I'm just full of shit." Your laughter peals out across the shrine, and you clutch at your stomach as you bend over in a fit of endless joy. The priest laughs along with you, then places a hand on your back. "Come, if you are willing. Read me some of your poetry and we will discuss your work."
_____________________________________________________________
On the fourth week of consulting with Rindou, the kannushi, you find yourself scratching new words on a fresh sheet of paper, his purple eyes following your hand, and the way you mouthed the words to the poems. He would read them, tell you what he thought, and you would revise accordingly. Before long, you have a pile of poems to be compiled for distribution and an even deeper relationship with the priest than you thought possible.
"Deeper," you whisper in the candlelit room. "Go deeper." Rindou obliges, his hands steadying themselves on your wrists stretched above your head. His lips descend and touch yours tenderly before he picks up his speed, caressing your walls with care.
The clothing you had on an hour before is strewn lazily about the room and is intermingled with his clothes. Rindou cradles the back of your neck in one of his hands, still holding your other wrist captive as he slides in and out of you.
"Divine inspiration rests between your thighs," he murmurs, moaning in your ear. "I swear it does." You shudder in response, letting him kiss down your neck and nip at your earlobe.
"Please," you mutter. "Please, don't stop." Rindou flashes his violet eyes at you and blinks slowly.
"Never. Tenjin would never let me stop. Not now." You clench your core around his length and stifle your cry, sucking him deeper into you as you cum. Rindou matches your fluttering with the twitching of his cock inside of you, his seed spilling and coating your insides liberally. When he comes down from his high, he rests his head on your shoulder, exhaling deeply and kissing down your chest.
"Amazing, as always," you murmur and he chuckles, pulling you against him in the darkness.
"We will write more tomorrow. For now, you should rest." When he pulls the sheets around you and holds you close, you silently thank the god of poetry for sending you a muse before drifting off to sleep.
