You know, this segment was especially well played and a punch to the gut (hahaha)- the idea of being punished about sickness is just so raw. Some people (like me) have gone an insane amount of time - years, decades even - without throwing up because there's a massive control complex behind it (punished with sickness, punished for doing in public, etc) to the point it's actually preferable to torture your own body for hours rather than succumb. And in Tsubasa's case, she just... cannot hold it, and people have treated her like a freak.

So Takumi's declaration that HE WILL JUST WILFULLY DO IT AND OPENLY, LIKE IT'S NOTHING- HOLY SHIT. It genuinely sounds so ridiculous, it's no wonder Tsubasa laughed. But that was incredible.

Just reread the book, and anyone who says Steve Randle is barely character is lying or didn't read the book. He's not the most developed character but we know so such about him.

He dislikes Ponyboy but loves Soda, letting him comfort him and never fighting with him. He's got a violent temper. He snaps at Ponyboy when he kept prodding the topic of Sandy leaving became it was upsetting Soda. He says he fights for hatred, to give back to the Socs the hurt they cause them, to genuinely hurt them. He's even compared to Bob, that if Soda had died then Steve would've kept on fighting and hurting while Soda (like Randy) wouldn't have.

He generally is a bit snappish, even with the others. He's mentioned to have cried over Johnny and Dally (like of course everyone grieved and cried but it's interesting that Pony notes him crying on three seperate occasions, while none of the others were mentioned crying).

He's also sarcastic and blunt, sometimes a little insensitive in his humor (called Darry 'no brains and all brawn' which upset him). He can sometimes give off the impression that he doesn't care much (Ponyboy is surprised Steve ran to find Dally when they got that phone call). He hates his dad because they have huge arguments where he kicks him out for a week and then gives him some money to make up for it. He's scarily good with cars, both at driving and fixing them.

Curled up, warm and comfy in their bedroom cubby, custard cookie iii lay. Dozing softly in cotton covers under the gaze of moonlight just beyond the curtains.

"Come Little bluebird, I'll take thee away"

Only the soft sleep wasn't meant to last. Custard blinked awake to the sound of soft singing, a sugary sweet hum that sounded almost like-

"Dad?"

A tired call. Disoriented between the realm of dreams and reality that made them dizzy. The humming was the only constant, and it was coming from outside. Yet also all around them the song played. They sit up, covers falling and stuffed bunny slipping down his arm, rubbing their eyes as they looked for a source.

Outside. The source is outside. A ghostly hand waves by the window, and the prince finds himself on his knees, undoing the latch that keeps it closed.

"Into a land of enchantment"

It's much clearer now, but the voice is hard to place, somehow recognisable and nothing like they'd ever heard. The hand sweeps by, petting his cheek and slipping into the room.

It lifts his toy bunny, he almost reaches for it before the blue glow makes the stuffy dance, hopping up to the window ledge as the view beyond it changes.

"Come Little bluebird, the times Come to play"

A motion from the doll to the new land, shrouded in blues and eerie luminescence, trees that look alive and shadows that dance as easily as any cookie from the hollyberrian balls he's attended.

A figure stands in the middle of it all, at the base of steps leading to a tower. Ghostly as their hands they smile warmly at the young prince, offering their other hand. They're the singer, this land belongs to them- it could be his. The shadow cookie offers a teacher, a role model, and the one thing they know he wants: a throne to rule.

Custard doesn't know what's happening anymore, but in moments their hands meet and, holding their stuffy close, steps through.

"Here in my kingdom of shadows"

Shadow milk cookie's smile turns into a smirk.
