Just a WIP, will probably delete later, but I wanted to get some opinions/headcanons on older Pearl and Marina. Yes, I gave them iSquid/ iOcto watches so sue me. There is so much I want to draw and yet so little time... Opinions and replies welcome, encouraged even!

i'm basically done with writing my will/hannibal smoking ficlets. there are over a dozen different ones based on prompts from an old post of mine ranging from about 500 - 2k words a piece. they aren't inherently connected at all and are meant to be standalone fics, related only by the overarching theme of smoking. i haven't written anything like this before so want opinions/input.

*if i post them as one "fic", each chapter/story will have their own tags listed in the beginning and all the collective tags listed under the "fic". if i do a toc, it'll at list titles and prompts. no toc then prompts will be listed before the fic with the tags for said fic. each fic does have a title if that makes any difference

also not inherently bad to rb but don't bc the poll is really just for me lol

Okay I'm really considering creating my own save file to share with you all. This is a huge undertaking so I do want to ask a few questions! First, and maybe this is a stupid question, but would you guys want the save file to come with a few of my own created townies with stories? By this I mean I would literally delete all the current townies and make my own to populate the worlds. I'm only asking because in my research I found that some people just update the existing townies for their save files and some people only do empty save files that include building renovations and NPCs, but no townies at all.

Second: the subject of custom content. I was originally thinking that all sims would be basically cc free - no presets, sliders, or cc clothes and accessories, just a small selection of skin details so everything matches but I'm also open to a cc-free save. Either way I'd want the save file to be pretty lightweight with no more than barebones cc so it's frindly to as many PCs as possible.

I'm planning to finally reread Hunger Games this year, and also read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes for the first time. Now I'm wondering in which order I should do that, since the latter is a prequel, and was hoping the fandom may have an opinion? I still have a working knowledge of the main series, but I'm kinda hazy on the details, if that matters.

i just don’t think she’s gonna make waves in another country about their culture, and ofc she’s gonna adhere to it and their rules. also, she’s not even malaysian, she’s a white american woman, and she doesn’t live there and doesn’t have any experience of their culture. i will say that while i agree that women have to cover up and “be quiet” due to misogyny and sexism, i know for a fact that a lot of women also just want to wear full coverage clothes (that’s their religion, culture and what they’ve seen and learned), and imo taylor is just respecting them. it’s not like she edited her legs in the movie.

ofc none of this is to say that women should have to cover up if they don’t want to (or do so many other things), but im just saying there’s a lot of nuance to why she is just adhering instead of rebelling it.

when people complain about games like genshin and star rail trying to push you to spend money, I laugh because that's just them being bad at self control if they give in and feel the need to spend. you can play completely free and be absolutely fine. I was f2p on genshin for 2 years before I got the welkin to help while streaming on twitch to get a few more pulls to do at the end of my streams for entertainment. before that, I got every single character I wanted and a few weapons f2p (just from simply playing the game!) even with horrible luck (my average pity was 78-80 per 5 star. i think only 2 so far in my whole genshin career were under 75. and a handful of loses as well) so don't complain if you can't resist the urge. that's on you. they don't force you to spend. if you play the game normally and aren't trying to get every single character/weapon, then you don't need to spend.

but ALSO. the reason you can even play the games for free and we get such great high-quality content is BECAUSE PEOPLE PUT MONEY INTO IT. if no one did, you'd have to pay like idk, $80 or whatever games cost these days to buy, PLUS probably pay for every update like it's a DLC, so another, i don't know, $20 every couple months? or have to subscribe monthly to play. the fact that you get it all for free is because other people pay for stuff. so stop complaining about things costing real money and the fact that other people even pay for it, and start thanking the people who put money into it so you others who can't afford it don't have to!

Okay, this post has a lot of misconceptions in it. There aren't as many differences between crocodiles and alligators than you think. It's really harmful to think that we have nothing in common with each other. So what if they're carnivores and we're closer to omnivores, or their snouts are more U shaped while ours are V shaped. We're both badass miracles of nature that have no reason to be pit against one another all the time.
