Genshin Sona/Oc brainrot

(and oc x Canon cause that’s my only form of therapy /hj)

Obligatory tag because I asked and he allowed me to do it: @henryfriedslugs

Was born in Fontaine despite being an adeptus, mainly for the fact that his parents feared their child’s safety in Liyue, since it wasn’t safe for mortals and adepti back then in Liyue

He has absolutely no clue about any other adepti and what is deemed normal for adepti, all he is aware of is that he is an Adeptus

^ He has lived among mortals his entire life which might explain why, and the fact he was never near other adepti

His main purpose for being made was to slowly drain karmic dept from the yakshas, it wouldn’t affect him but it would allow the yakshas to survive if his parents actually decided to not leave Liyue

Got abandoned by his biological parents in Fontaine (mostly in fear that Rex Lapis would find out they broke their contract and that he would find them in Fontaine), but then got adopted by the first hydro archon, so he never questioned who his bio parents are

His parents, specifically his mother, wrote a letter to the first hydro archon to ensure that he would be taken care of, as they didn’t want their child to see them suffer to the hands of the Geo Archon if he were to find out that they broke their contract to stay in Liyue

He was absolutely devastated when he found out his mother, the hydro archon, died, and it took him a few (hundred) years to come to terms with it

He does look up to Foçalors as a mother figure, he just never actively admits it in public

He is 2,100 years old

There is a high chance he knows something personal and awful about a lot of people, and will actively use it as blackmail against said person if they plan to try and tell people that he’s not human or anything that has bad intentions towards him or anyone he cares deeply for (familial relationships, friends, etc.)

He assumes a lot of stuff about people, and isn’t that surprised if he’s wrong about it, but he’s always surprised if he’s correct, and it doesn’t help that it’s literally often how he gets his blackmail

On that note: he’s unnaturally observant because of his own paranoia

He laughs at the worst moments; you’re getting threatened by someone? He is laughing. what is he laughing about? He refuses to tell you, so he could just be laughing at you getting threatened, or he’s laughing at something completely unrelated that he saw/remembered

There is a 50/50 chance that his own laugh makes him sounds drunk, despite never having drink alcohol in his entire life he’s been alive

He goes by the name Elliott (I am so original ik) but some nickname he heard people use for him are: Eli, El, “Mortal Adeptus”, or “My Grace” which is exclusively used by Xiao

Elliott saved Xiao once because Xiao somehow ended up in Fontaine, but that caused Xiao to just call Elliott either “My grace” or “My divine one” despite Elliott trying to tell Xiao that he sees Xiao as his equal

Elliott has a Cryo vision from Fontaine, and remember how I said what his purpose was being made? Yeah well since he received his vision, his entire body is just actively freezing cold, and no one can figure out why

Elliott and Xiao: mutual pining, both of them are too dumb to realize the other likes them though, or it’s really obvious that one of them likes the other (Elliott) while the other is in denial about their own feelings (Xiao)

Elliott actively called Xiao the oddest nicknames to his face, and Xiao for some reason never got mad at Elliott for it??? One of the nicknames Elliott has called Xiao to his own face was “Bird Boy”

Elliott, at one point, had to sign a contract with Zhongli so that Xiao could train Elliott on how to use a polearm because Elliott has no clue how to use his signature weapon

Elliott knows how to use a sword and a pole arm now :>

On that note: Elliott’s signature weapon is a scythe, he was gifted it by Foçalors, but since he had no clue how to yet use his polearm, he just used a sword he’s kept on him

He views the traveler as “a child he never had”, basically what Elliott thinks what his biological child would look like and the traveler just happens to look similar to his thoughts of his bio child he hasn’t had, so Elliott is just protective of the traveler <3

Elliott has adopted two kids (both ocs based off my pets), the eldest from Mondstadt and the younger from Fontaine, and both of them live in Fontaine now

If given permission from Foçalors, Elliott would be allowed to any mortal, this is often only given to him in the court room, only if Foçalors is bored and wants to watch the person being judged for their crimes (if those crimes are seriously bad) getting chased by her son, Elliott, which is also the only time Elliott is allowed to bring his vision and weapon into the courtroom. Another time he is allowed to kill, this time with or without permission from Foçalors, is if he is in a duel, if the person he is dueling doesn’t surrender, Elliott would kill in that situation

I don’t know how to word this but you know how adepti have those illuminated beast forms/adeptal forms??? Yeah Elliott is a Pallas cat, very small but very fluffy

name: umbra chrono age: 23 pronouns: he/they info: my favorite oc (dont tell the others).... time travelling catman who really misses his parents and is having a horrible time at college. is tormented by sadness every now and then BUT he's also good friends with maur and gude so that helps. oh yeah also haunted by the narrative i guess fun little fact: he's a siamese ragdoll!! he dyes his hair black though to try and hide that. this doesnt work as he has the brightest bluest eyes on the planet

name: MAUR !!!!!!! age: 15 pronouns: he/she info: technically not my sona. but they do look VERY similar. anyways so this guy can turn into a cat whenever he wants and was raised in apocalyptic warzone australia (just go with it) but escaped on a boat onto the rest of the world and now steals from places as a homeless stray cat. he likes to annoy umbra as often as possible and steal food from him when he's not looking fun little fact: his eyes light up REALLY FUCKING BRIGHT in the dark. like led lights

name: gude normal age: 19 pronouns: they (but he and she are also accepted. they mainly preferred though) info: most mentally stable oc. they're half elf and they only got the ears from their dad. they love monster hunter and its their favorite thing in the entire world. oh yeah their brother is also kind of a god. OH YEAH ALSO they have a Power!!!! they can make chair arms out of nothing. there is no limit to these chair arms but it gets more and more physically draining to have too many of them for too long. they can disappear whenever gude likes fun little fact: they only wear shorts. not a single set of pants. also striped shirts or tshirts with really stupid designs on them that they thought were funny.

name: nil age: ???really REALLY long though pronouns: any info: MY FAVORITE GUY. used to be an all powerful god but got a little too silly (did something Bad(i dont know what it is either)) and then was punished for it by being eternally trapped in The Void with no way out ever. they also cannot die. so as you can tell this has been driving him Crazy. can also make clones of herself and some objects as well but after a while the objects just disappear if null doesnt actively keep them there. i like to make them sad fun little fact: if the design looks familiarthats just cause he was originally grian but then it got a bit too ooc so i made her an oc. null's basically grian adjacent. the lore reason for this is they took the form of a fictional character he remembered fondly to cling onto what she remembered before null forgets it all

name: pyre (not his real name) age: mid to late 50s pronouns: he/him info: sumeru pyro claymore 5 star. somewhat possessed by a flower and lives in the sumeru desert. used to have a wife and a kid but his wife died in a sandstorm and he got separated from his kid and doesn't remember either of them anymore. due to the flower possessing him. he just kills people now and is the #1 enemy of cyno fun little fact: at some point he gets free from the flower and has to deal with The Horrors of losing like. 20ish years of your life

name: qamar (no last name idk) age: late 20s pronouns: she/they info: sumeru/mondstadt anemo sword 4 star. got separated from her family by a sandstorm basically wiping out her home in the sumeru desert and she got lost and adopted by rhinedottir who happened to be in the area. grew up with albedo and is on a mission to find out what happened to her family and friends and if all of them truly died or not. also mentors sucrose sometimes and is unintentionally Very Mean fun little fact: she REALLY likes dragonflies. there are several dragonfly motifs on her design (if i actually ever draw it ...)

name: FELIX!!!!!!! age: 40ish pronouns: she/her info: fontaine pyro catalyst 5 star. was part of an ancient race that died out and is basically the last of her species. performs as a popular actress in the opera epiclese for plays and stuff and works with lyney sometimes but SURPRISE!! she's also an UNDERCOVER REBEL!!! she goes by the name "Rouge Résistance" while trying to show all the cracks and flaws in the fontainian justice system by graffiti and stealing stuff to give out to others later . and also arson. kinda like robin hood but with fire fun little fact: her weapon? these fucking hands

au name: pope!maur (i thought it was funny) info: was adopted by the church after escaping australia and is now a tyrannical pope at age 15... very insane everyone hates him. he uses his position to do Not Swag things. somewhat of an infamous celebrity fun little fact: originally i made him (and incel umbra) as just maur and umbra in different outfits but then i gave them different persoanlities and origins and boom!! different characters

au name: incel!umbra info: after his parents mysteriously disappeared he went on the internet . and got ruined forever because of it. now hes a really fucking mean nihilist who's generally draining to be around and one day wants to burn down the entire world fun little fact: he and christian!maur DESPISE each other and will go out of their way to annoy each other at every single opportunity. not in the friendly way either they genuinely hate each other

au name: time god!umbra (usually shortened to tg!umbra) info: basically just works for the higher time gods in the world. makes sure everything in time goes well and can vaguely control it. also doesn't follow linear time it's kinda wild. doesn't follow the normal umbra lore either he was just made like this and he just has to accept it fun little fact: he does get paid. just not a lot though. like very little payment for his work

au name: space god!maur (usually shortened to sg!maur) info: like tg!umbra, he works for the higher space gods and he makes sure everythings position isnt getting weird and fucked up. he can teleport wherever he wants and he can work outside of 3 dimensions. thats how silly he is fun little fact: the gods have forced his face to be smiling forever. he is actually not happy with this

K I’m done with this shit aa

Gruntmi(subject-01/my sona/oc) instead of waking up after 15y after they’ve been putted in “cryo sleep”(I dunno how to properly say that on eng sry) woke up after around 50(or even more)years(originally they waking up in MPN classic events)in dusty and abandoned base in the room with creatures that look like them but they all looked already dead for a long time...

especially weird that after that they don’t remember anything and they didn’t get all those powers like they original ver. …or at least for now

After some time days of wandering(and approaching not a single soul)they found empty and abandoned doc’s base.when they check what’s inside they noticed that everything looked like someone(maybe group of people)been here and stole mostly everything but hidden hatchway door to basement(I used translator here so it might been written weird but I hope u know what I mean)stayed untouched.

In basement they found giant robot(with “HANK” Wooten in its chest) and something that look like a plastic heavy box with wires and same word on one of sides).Gruntmi figured out that it looks like one of those bots(even if it’s look quite dangerous) in nexus core and it’s might be a battery.theu putted that “battery” in robot’s body.it immediately activated and tried to attack(and leave wound on Gruntmi’s eye) but after few seconds robot fall on knees barely staying activated itself with low energy.instead of running away(like a normal person) Subject-01 come closer and tried to help…

After some time Gruntmi found in basement more interesting things:a few boxes filled with tapes and fugue machine that looks like some kind of really weird bed(at least you can lay inside of it and,oh wow,not die).with understanding of “ok this thing need energy to work” duo wandered around base to find any kind of generator or smth(and hank mostly tried to kill them again)after finding one small relocatable generator, activating weird machine ,putting one of tapes(that been named “1sr.IMPORTANT!”)in machine and getting inside of machine they’ve met someone called 2bdamned(or just “doc”)…

…or at least the recording of their memory.they explained that smth happend in place that called”the other place” and huge amounts of energy started to burst out from the ground and killing everything,and before it happened around base they decided to build for them and others 3 of their team bodies from metal and rewrite memories of all team in “cores” to survive this apocalypse.he know that something can go wrong and “the agency”(aahw) may found them after that(they might use some kind of bunkers to survive and “Auditor” very powerful ,especially with keystone fragment/hall)so doc hide the most dangerous of them in different place and recorded tapes of their(doc’s)knowledges.Doc know that someone or even Hank(if hank activate the self somehow) use this and “revive team and S.Q/anti aahw”

After that Subject-01 understood that someone stole others 3 bodies and cores so they decided to find them with Hank’s help…but at first they need to figure out how to make Hank trust them…

1: Your first OC ever?

my first oc ever was actually two ocs! back in 2018 during inktober (ew i know) i drew for a few prompts these two characters named vanessa and sami

i then drew them a bit in my sketchbook and promptly forgot about them for a good year or so-

i then picked them back up later after i had other ocs and polished their designs

theyre kinda like that webtoon waffles and pancakes ig- sami is a blonde kid who is really energetic and bubbly- hes blond and has this purple vneck long sleeve purple tee that he wears all the time, and vanessa is a bit taller than him, and shes got dark purple blue maybe hair- always brooding but caring- and she wears like pencil skirts and tight shirts-always dark- and shes SUPER cool i love her

12: Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot

honestly, even tho theyre someone i dont really talk to anymore, one of my friends from my old public school had this oc named adrian who had four eyes, a second set underneath the usual one, and he was a demon and had this super cool backstory- his dad kyrogin had six eyes, four like adirans, one vertically centered on his forehead, and one on the left side of his neck- and he had two sets of horns as well

they were all super cool and had this epic backstory that i dont remember- but i do remember drawing super fluffy things for them and drawing this one thing of adiran and rikan sneaking up on me and my friend and that spouted the nickname for adiran “he sneek” akjlsdf

actually kinda want to talk abt hsmp!yeti for a bit bc im gonna “expose” what blair came up with and then we both kinda ran with it aklsjd

so basically the idea is that hsmp!yeti was the last person on hallmark, watching everyone leave one by one because of the cerulean. only staying because she was determined to find a way to stop them, she had to try.

she had been doing research on them and had found lots of interesting things but once people left she became lonely and it was a bit more difficult to carry on like she used to... even with her pets there so many had died already, except for her cat ted

and after one day of trying to wrestle with the vines and try and fight them, she became so entangled with them she almost died choking on the spores. she barely made it back to her house and after collapsing on her bed, she phased through the bed down to the first floor.

she sat up extremely startled and saw in the reflection of her window that her eyes were glowing red... she went to grab her elytra and found when she tried to put it on she already had wings,,, they didnt hurt but they had mass...

absolutely scared out of her mind she contacted void and got their location, she grabbed all her valuables and put in her enderchest- grabbed her cat and flew straight to the location that was sent to her

thats all i can say for now but eeeeeee- this is how i turn almost all my smp sonas into vex hybrids >:D (aside from dynasty smp akjsdfa)

I'm a bit confused about your sides that people can claim (the ones you sell right now) How does all of that work?

Very simple actually, I just draw a design, slap a name on em, and make sure they’re appealing for my audience! After that, just put a price on em, and people can buy them. After buying, they get the rights to the character. They can change their look, name, create a personality if need be for them, they can draw them themselves, a whole bunch of things!

So if I draw an adoptable and it’s fairly complex and had a full on design and elrosnality and name and stuff, then I can put it up for a specific price (which would be fairly high) or I can even have people bid on it. Bidding is where people offer money at higher and higher prices in order to claim the OC as their own.

It’s really no different with the sanders sides adoptables, and Thomas politely approved of my idea of sanders sides adoptables so if you wanna know that, then there’s that as well :)

The adoptables I’m making are just using a base I made a little bit ago (my ‘mini’ style) and I just color over the base a bunch of times with different deisgns. These kinds of adoptables usually are cheaper and have a consistent price whereas adoptable pages that have adoptables very unique to each other can have varying prices.

I must add, it’s a very fun way to make money! You get to make all of these deisgns and people can buy them from you at a bunch of different prices (I’ve seen $50 adopts grow up to $120 in the bidding aspect and it’s amazing to me!) and it’s awesome to see what people do with them afterwards! They can make stories from them, use them as a sona, ship them with other OCs they have even. It’s a fun process :D

I don’t know man I like all of them. I could introduce Kida or Orion, ‘cause they’re pretty solid ocs but I already talked a lot about them.

Orion! He’s one of my Sheith kids oc. Unlike the rest of his family, despite of him being a good fighter and a good strategist, he has no desire in following a militar career because he’s an artist! And he likes taking pictures of all the amazing things he gets to see when he travels to planets of the coalition with his family. He’s like an honorary member in missions because he, alongside a small team, records everything that’s going on aboard. He’s always ready to help when things get tought though.

Few people know about my ocs, so no.

Welp, Kida was supposed to be more serious and way less cute and cat-like.

Your first OC ever?god. its got to be Super Kitty. when i was like … an incredibly small child I used to draw comic strips about this feline caped crusader, who was friends with everyone in the city, and the comics always involved him stopping an evil banana man from stealing money from the local bank. He was paid with donuts for his service to the city. i still remember how to draw him.

14. Introduce an OC with a tragic backstory Mmm… there’s a few of them, most obviously Lent (whose background I did a short comic about). Basically his entire town got eaten by ghosts and turned into zombies, he only barely survived with a sliver of his soul left.

16. Which one of your OCs would be the best at biology (school subject)? Probably Bronze’s dad! I don’t talk about him much, but his name’s Devon Reed, and he was a biotech developer specialising in android design.

I often describe him as being something of a reverse Arthur Weasley - a very fatherly scientist fascinated to the moon and back with the concept of magic.

Any OC OTPs? having trouble thinking of a lot of them right now, but there’s Eric + Lent & Naiadine + Tailias from Emerald Sigil, Avken + Baromet from my space campaign world, Sydd + Wyvv from my unnamed campaign world, and I’ve been considering Westrin + Servant as an interesting dynamic in Servant’s story

18. Any OC crackships? My character Bismuth and @autistictimeknight‘s oc Eros. Theyre so fucking in love, I love it. Its been awhile but I do still think about them sometimes.

As I recall, Eros is an empath, she can read other people’s emotions. But Bismuth is a robot, and Eros can’t read her. Because of this Eros can let go of her fear of unintentionally manipulating the emotions of her date, which would hold her back from most other relationships.

19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)Hey, meet Bronze! I definitely do not talk about them every five minutes, why would you say that.

Bronze was with me through two of the hardest years of my life so far, and being a DND character they grew with me, both as a fighter and as a person. They were non-binary before I started using those pronouns, they were the first character or person or anything who I fought someone about using the right pronouns for, they make a great icebreaker for if I want to see how someone reacts to non-binary pronouns …

One funny anecdote about Bronze is that when I first made them, their “gimmick” was that they would sometimes glitch out and mess up their speech, mostly because I wanted an excuse not to engage in the roleplaying (which I was very bad at). The interesting thing is that as I got better at interacting with the group, we both grew out of needing it very quickly.

I’m very proud of Bronze.

20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?Westrin is a bard! His singing voice sounds like Bill Wurtz and these are his theme songs.

23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?I’m gonna go with Enza for this one. Enza Colie was originally written entirely because I wanted an antagonist for a short starring his sister, Jane Colie. But the more I fleshed out his reasonings for acting how he did and explored his character, the more I realised he’d make an even more interesting character if allowed to have a redemption arc, too.

I just want to state for the record that I was very reluctant to the idea, and he basically dragged his way out of the villain pit entirely of his own accord. I am dubiously proud of him, and also a bit scared.

24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?Probably either Eric (Big Man, Best Friend), Crocus (Mother figure), Reed (Father Figure), Westrin (hed just make a good friend u kno??), or Bismuth (she makes good conversation!)

Have you ever had to change your OC’s design or something else about them against your will? this is an interesting one… i don’t think ive ever had something Bad in a design ive done called to my attention by someone, but I did create my character Servant at around the same time I was first really expanding the diversity of my casts. (since i don’t talk about him often, a little context: he’s a magic spirit creature bound to human form to serve the royal family of the land and follow their orders.)

somehow, younger-and-more-stupid me managed to have the revelation that making this “eternal slave” character literally anything other than a white man, especially as a white author, would be Pretty Not Good. im … thats really, really not something i should pat myself on the back for, but i do consider it one of the biggest bullets dodged in my artistic career so far that i realised that not all representation is good representation so quickly, before i could make that incredibly, incurably stupid mistake.

after that, trying to make sure my characters and their presentations don’t harm anyone pretty much has become a paranoia. i don’t seem to have stepped on any toes yet, but when it inevitably happens, please let me know - i didnt know, and i want to fix it!

… actually, the gatekeeper might be it, if “dangerous” just refers to “the amount of raw power it can wield”. the Gatekeeper is a titanic entity that exists in interdimensional multiverse space, and its implied to have the ability to create and destroy entire universe bubbles at will. for what cosmic purpose, no-one knows.

at a more personal scale, though, literally all of the aforementioned characters are pretty bad to run into too.

29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going?god. Mina or Tawn. Tawn is the Indiana Jonesy type and probably dumb enough, but also competent enough not to get into too much trouble there. Mina would probably drag her friends along.

30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection? XEN09. No-one knows, because no-one knows xir personal identity. Xe absolutely does, though. It’s less of a secret if you know xir in person, but good luck finding out about it otherwise.

33. Your shyest OC?probably baromet. they prefer to keep to themself in their hideout, with their collection of shiny things. they don’t really enjoy trying to communicate much, mostly because they expect to get yelled at.

- Crocus and Sarle. (x) (x) They don’t exactly have a very well-developed relationship, but they are both quite important to the plot of my campaign world, and they are both very interesting. Crocus is a motherly figure who just exudes friendliness, while Sarle is .. very much not that, a researcher studying very gruesome things and pushing the boundaries of reality.

- Jane and Enza Colie. I haven’t talked a whole lot about either of them here, but I’d rather leave their story to do the talking whenever I get around to it. Essentially, the both of them were intended to do the dirty work for their crime boss family, but Jane ditched to study medicine. Most of the conflict between the two of them comes out of Enza not understanding why she made the choice she did, and coming to understand how he’s been manipulated.

35. Any sibling characters? I can’t really think of any off the top of my head, I should … I should really work on that.

I can talk about Westrin, though. Westrin (a demigod of many things, but namely bards, travel, travelers, and people who are lost) often becomes close friends with mortals, sometimes practically adopting them. These people who consider him family, and people who have received his blessing, are able to use his surname, Brilanta, as their own if they choose. So I guess all of the Brilantas are siblings, at least in spirit.

Oh, and XEN09 has like, seven siblings. Xe is the second-oldest, and least remarkable.

I already talked about Eros and Bismuth up there a ways in question 18, but I’ll talk about another relationship here. @autistictimeknight‘s character, Nova the Alchemist, is mentor and adopted parental figure to my character Munna. Munna … Munna isn’t a very good apprentice. She tries very hard.

aside from the entire “bronze-tangential characters” thing i mentioned awhile back, I tend to really like designing characters with hair color lighter than their skin color. it just looks so cool man. i love drawing freckles but dont put them on enough characters. i like really curly hair, but also really long and flowy hair. i like drawing triangular body types, and pointy/prominent noses.

179: If I were immortal, what would I do?I actually have a WoW OC who is immortal and no it’s not SabHonestly, I would just try to help any way I could, study all languages, write down any forgotten languages that people have forgotten in the past, probably just become the owl from AtLA honestly.
