Hello, I hope I am not disturbing you. Your writings are great. If you are getting requests, can you write for yandere husband Pollux Black, Crygnus Black, Orion Black, Alphard Black, Severus Snape, Gellert Grindelwald, Aberfort Dumbledore, Albus Dumbledore? Please
You're not bothering me at all! I love requests! Here are your husbands lol
Characters: Pollux Black, Cygnus Black, Orion Black, Alphard Black, Severus Snape, Gellert Grindelwald, Aberforth Dumbledore, and Albus Dumbledore
TWs: Yandere Content, implications of forced sex, implications of forced pregnancy
Pollux Black
There was no denying it. Pollux was drunk out of his mind.
He'd always carried himself with guilt. A twin who's brother died in the womb. The firstborn son of his father, thus complicit in whatever he wanted, in order to keep his place in the family. He was man who's back was so spineless that it should've curled in on himself already. A disappointment, not proving himself better than Arcturus and not securing the switch in power between his branch of the family and Arcturus'.
But he was you husband, and you had to stick by his side.
"Baby," He crooned in you ear, "You know I love you. You know your the only one for me."
"I am aware."
"Oh, darling I need you, there's no one else for me." He continues, "Love is just what keeps me going. And love is just you in that dress."
"Is that some song?"
"Loving you is just what I do best..."
You take the cup from his hand and slip him out of his formal robes. The reception is over. Cassiopeia got out of this family and is married to someone who loves her. You wish you could say the same.
"It's how I feel, darling." Pollux continues, "I can't stand to see people around you."
"I'm all yours, Pollux." You tell him, "I'm all yours."
"When are you going to act like it then." He whines as more layers get removed between the two of you. You've holed up in the main manor, in one of the side rooms. Pollux is too drunk to apparate or use the floo network. And nobody in the Black Family would dare be seen riding the Knight Bus.
"I do act like it." You tell yourself, "I'm yours, Pollux."
"You don't say I love you. You recoil from my touch. You refuse to call me anything other than my first name." Pollux's tone gets serious, "You don't act like you love me."
"I love you." You tell him.
He grabs your shoulders and throws you onto the bed with him, "Then start acting like it."
"Pollux—" You tried to put some distance between the two of you, "Pollux, wait."
"No." His tone was much more sober, even if he was still slurring his words, "No. You are mine. Quit acting like you're not."
"Please—" You start but he interrupts you, "No! No. You are my wife. You shall act like it."
"I do!" You try to get back onto your feet, "I do!"
"I am your husband and you are my wife." He says, "We shall be one. We shall grow ourselves—our family."
What he means dawns on you and you know that this was always a part of your marriage contract, but you believed that by the time it happened, you'd be in love with him.
You tried and your tried but the light are off and the curtain is closing. This performance is over and act two's about to begin. This time, with a proper pureblood family from the two of you.
Cygnus Black
Cygnus was raised as a righteous man. He has a duty to the family—to live long and prosper. And he wanted to do that with you. Second-born son of the second-born line, he wasn't close to leading the family, even in his wildest dreams.
But he could lead his own family. And he wanted to create that family and that legacy with you and you alone.
"Spin." Your dress robes shimmered with the brightness of the stars themselves, the glimmer bouncing off of them in the waves of your turns, shining as bright as you do.
You don't say anything to him as he takes in your figure. You need to be perfect for him. It is your wedding day, after all.
"Muggles wait to see what they're partner is wearing until they are right in front of them." Cygnus notes, "What fools they are."
"How do you know what muggles do at weddings?" You try to laugh, tease him so that this moment isn't as daunting for you.
"Because I do." Cygnus growls, "Don't question your husband."
"You're not my husband yet." You laugh weakly for your own sake. Cygnus has always been quick to anger, quick to contempt. Hopefully you're quicker—especially than he is at action.
"Look at me." He grabs your arm and squeezes until all of the blood rushes from the hold, "You do not question me. I am your husband. It would behoove you to learn that quickly."
"Alright." You rub your wrist, comforting yourself, "I understand."
"I'll train you up. Don't worry." He says, "You'll learn before our children are born. You'll be an optimal parent. You'll be the perfect spouse. I'll make sure of it."
Somehow, you silently note, that you know that you'll never be as perfect as he needs, no matter how much he teaches and you endure.
Orion Black
Orion Black looked at you with a gaze so sharp it could pierce your body and soul. His straight black hair was combed neatly. His eyes were concrete grey and he kept his face just with the hints of what his beard could be if he didn't shave it regularly. His suit was crisp and clean and his shoes shined like motor oil.
He was well dressed and angry at something. And he was looking at you to fix it.
You took the initiative, silently accio-ing a bottle and a glass, pouring him a drink and then handing it to him. "Rough day?"
He takes the glass you offer, "News you won't like."
"What is it?" You ask, "I can handle it."
"I know, darling. You're so strong for me." Orion takes a sip of the drink and bridges the gap between the two of you, taking your hands into his, "They know the gender of Druella's baby."
The realization dawns on you, "Another girl."
"Yes," He offers you a sympathetic smile, "You've always been bright."
"I don't think coming to that conclusion took much brain power."
"I talked with my grandfather. He's expecting us to pick up the slack."
"Have the heir." You fill in.
Orion nods.
"No." You put your foot down, "That was the deal. I was to stay with you, play the perfect Black Family Wife and I would remain financed, protected, and untouched."
"That was if Cygnus was able to have a male heir." Orion says, "Do you think that I want to go back on that arrangement?"
"Then don't!"
"And have Bellatrix be the next Head of the Black Family?" Orion asks, "I'm already set up to be heir. It was always expected of me."
"It's not going to be expected of me."
"Yes it was." Orion's grip tightens, "We are already wed. You are mine. You cannot leave. Now you can do this the easy way, or I'll imperio you."
"You wouldn't."
He looks you in the eye and reaches for his wand. He doesn't say the words outright, but you made a deal with the devil so he wouldn't hurt you further. And maybe you will have to slide back on that deal a bit. But if you didn't, he'd take it painfully. And he would feel as if he could take more and more out of you.
You can keep some semblance of control this way. And what's one kid in the grand scheme of things?
Alphard Black
Alphard Black loved you to the moon and back. He was Hephaestus and you were Aphrodite, but like the mythical husband and wife, you were not loyal.
No, you'd found your Ares.
A muggleborn, in fact. Some man in the French Ministry of Magic who's been in Britain working on a project. Alphard didn't care who he was or what he done, except for when it was with you.
He used muggle means of subduing him. He's always been fascinated in the magicless. After all, he took you as his wife, even after his family threatened him.
It took all of his convincing to prove that you'd be a good partner, despite being a squib. You can still produce magical children after all. And he's not of the main line anyways.
But you had to go and fuck it up, didn't you?
He has your man tied up in a chair in the parlor, stripped of his wand and his clothing. He was still out cold and you came running when your darling husband told you oh, so sweetly that he had a surprise for you.
He stands over and behind your passed out lover. He's able to see your face when you notice what's gone on. And he can see the horror on your face as you see his manic smile.
"Alphie... what did you do?" You take a step closer, kneeling in front of your lover, "Alphie! What are you doing!"
"Don't Alphie me, sweetheart." He replies, "I saved you from a horrid life in the muggle world and this is how you repay me? By fucking some muggleborn swine!"
"Alphie, it's not what you think..."
"No, baby, it is what I think." He says, "I've been working and you've had a bit too much free time. So you took a man who would give you that attention. I'm sorry, darling. But I'll give you the attention you deserve."
"Alphie, please!" You try to reason with him, but he grabs a knife, "You can't do this!"
"Oh but I can. Knife to the head, incendio for the corpse, and aguamenti to put out the flames. It's simple, really."
You try to run to your lover, standing with him so that if Alphard was to light him ablaze, he'd have to do so to you as well. But Alphard casts a spell you don't recognize and you fall to the floor as you loose consiousness.
You come too as the fire dies down. Your lover no more than ashes. Alphard has himself pressed against your back, arms around your waist. He's singing the song at your wedding and it dawns on you:
You can never escape. You will never escape. The world that you admired so much and was desperate to be a part of you had a chokehold on you so strong that you were unable to leave it, even if you wanted to.
Severus Snape
You were in this marriage for your own personal protection.
The Snape name wasn't known as a Wizarding name just yet, but Severus was a halfblood. He could trace his lineage.
You could not, on account of being a muggleborn.
Honestly, with how Severus acted, you'd wished a death eater would take you out already. It wasn't nearly as torturous as being the wife to such an insufferable man.
"Darling," His slow manner of speaking irritated you, as if you couldn't handle him speaking any faster than this, "You mustn't linger about like that. You seem unhappy."
"And what if I am unhappy?"
"With the favor I have provided you?" He asks, "It would be foolish of you."
"Then call me a fool."
In all honesty, he was right. Staring out the window in the muggle home the two of you shared wasn't healthy for you. It only served to remind you of the home and happiness that you have since lost.
You change the subject, "How is your lord faring?"
"Better, now that he's decided on whomst his biggest threat is."
"Not Albus Dumbledore?"
"No, not Albus Dumbledore." Severus won't tell you more than that and you do not push the matter.
"Anything interesting in the potions you've been making?"
"No." He replies, "It is all the basics for getting a potions mastery. I will have to show it to the Potions Mastery Committee, down at the Ministry."
"You're heading into London?"
"I was planning on flooing, actually."
"Pick me up a new book." You turn to look at him, seeing him flip through the pages of his own book, "I've finished the last in that series and I want something of a similar author."
"Alright." He replies, not looking up at you. You look at his face, still ever-present in his book.
You suppose that he could be worse. He could be active in this situation, not just complacent in your slow torment under this roof. He could lay an unjust hand on you. He could treat you like the other wives of Death Eaters.
There is a mercy in how he acts. There is love in his distance.
You could reciprocate it, you could let it grow and blossom. But for now, you let the waves splash softly against the sand that is the foundation of your relationship with the man.
Gellert Grindelwald
Gellert Grindelwald doesn't love you.
The truth of the matter is that he's never loved anyone, only having obsessions. And, for all of his life, he's only been obsessed with two individuals: Albus Dumbledore—and you.
The fact that you have something in common with Albus Dumbledore makes you laugh. Him, one of the greatest wizards of all time, and you, a witch with so much self-loathing you almost formed an obscurus.
Almost, being the key word. For Gellert Grindelwald made it certain that you would not succumb to this deadly affliction, that you would find love within yourself and the world and its magic, so that you would keep on living.
And, it was all so he can keep you funneled away, hidden from the rest of the world in a small flat near Godric's Hollow.
It's embarrassing really, how quickly you fell for him. And yet, he does not love you, even after all that he did to make you love him.
You just stare off into the fireplace, awaiting his arrival. Because he's the only thing that keeps you from slipping into that state again. He's the only thing that brings you joy.
Aberforth Dumbledore
Aberforth wasn't the gloriest of husbands you could of had.
In all honesty, you befriended him to get closer to Albus. That was the real catch, your mother told you. Handsome, intelligent, hardworking—the world was falling at his feet and you could've been the woman smiling by his side, perfectly cared for and content while he tool the Wizarding World by storm.
But Aberforth had to actually take a liking to you, one he took violently, one that tarnished your reputation afterwards.
One thing lead to another and there was a child between the two of you. Aberforth made you an honest woman and you got yourself stuck with a child you didn't want, a job you hated, and a husband you hated even more.
At least nobody cares about what you did, out of wedlock. It's been decades now. You and Aberforth are over a century old. So is Albus.
And even if you can't call Albus Dumbledore yours, you still get to be near him and bask in his intellect. You two are friends, even if you always wanted to be something more.
Albus Dumbledore
He was an odd man. Never violent, even if you wished he would be.
He was kind, wise, put love as the forefront of everything, even though you didn't love him.
You didn't even like him. No, you were filled with pure, unadulterated hatred for your husband.
He's a gentle man. Smart, intelligent, caring. He keeps to himself on most occasions and lets you roam the walls of Hogwarts freely, just like you did, when the two of you were students.
You remember him well, you suppose. Back then, he wasn't like this. Back then, he was easier to endure. Back then, your dislike of him was validated.
Now, he's the war hero and headmaster of the greatest wizarding school in the world. He's saved countless of lives and mentored everyone who's walked through the walls of Hogwarts for the past century or so.
And it's exhausting, staying by his side. You're expected to be a proud person, prideful in your husband's work and all he has done, joyful in how the Dumbledore name has flourished and grateful for the man you've married.
But you are not here willingly. You would not have joined his side by choice.
You honestly hope Minister Fudge finds a way to oust him. Maybe his crimes in the wars will be released. Maybe he'll keel over and die already.
Because being the partner to such a perfect man is exhausting. Especially when you're the only one who sees all of his flaws.

prompt fill: for @my-whortleberry-friend ❤️ - no. 7 from this list & the addition of "don't you dare let me pass out right now - Maks - not with the media / the delegation behind the door' *through gritted teeth* 'please'"
Mornings often set the tone of the day. If they've had a night of unbroken sleep, the following day already seems half-won, there are fewer thoughts embraced with fog or a lack of clarity; there are moments of levity, a chance for a joke, a second or two of brightness, a snippet of time in which they can just breathe. On the opposite side, the nights when they don't sleep, when there are nightmares and sirens and a bone-deep ache - the day is somehow more difficult, endless, no time to catch their breath, to stop; a careering rush to the end of the line.
Volodymyr hasn't slept. Maksym knows. He hides it well enough, swallowing another mouthful of coffee, frowning at the report before him, loosely fiddling with the pencil between his fingers, scrawling small notes in the margin. He can't quite hide everything; the way a muscle jumps in his jaw, the way he digs a knuckle absently into the small of his back to try and alleviate the ache there, the way he swallows a yawn, his eyes red. Breakfast has long since been abandoned, the eggs congealing miserably on their plate, replaced with coffee and the grim desire to tackle the day head-on. It feels like an awful cocktail that will inevitably end in disaster; little sleep, even less food, caffeine.
Maksym was right - as he often is when it comes to Vova.
It's been hours since breakfast (three meetings, four phonecalls, seven cups of coffee) and Volodymyr looks ready to drop, gripping hard onto the edge of the table as he forces himself to his feet. One half-stumbled step across the floor of the meeting room is enough before he sways dangerously; Maks reaches forward immediately, on instinct now.
“Don't you dare–”
Maksym blinks, feeling the small tremor that runs through him, his hands around Volodymyr's elbows, taking the other man's weight as he sways, his gaze still fierce and sharp-edged.
“What?”
“Don't you..dare let me pass out right now. Don--Maksym.”
The bodyguard bites down a groan at a now familiar routine that each time makes him hurt; for Vova more than anything. He longs to say what he thinks, what he knows - that this is your body telling you to stop, listen to it, please. But he doesn't - not this time. He knows the mood Vova is in; his grim, burning determination refusing to allow anything else in, not compassion or kindness for himself. He has to keep going - he can't stop, not now, not yet. There is always too much to do, not enough space for the driving, dull pain of his body to take any precedence.
“You need to sit down.”
“Not with the–”
Ah. Of course. There's always something else, someone else who Vova would rather prioritise than himself.
“The delegation. America. They'll be here. In a minute. Don't let me, Maks –”
He grits his teeth.
“Please.”
Perversely Maksym wonders what would happen if he didn't do as Vova asked - if the door swung open and the American delegation strode into the room to see him collapse on the polished parquet flooring; exhausted, defenceless, nothing left to give.
What would Maks say then; so full of rage, so full of grief that he could choke on it - look at what you are doing - to him, look at what you are allowing to happen to his country - to our beautiful country because you fight amongst yourselves while our people die, you stubborn, spineless, slow-moving sack of sh–
He won't do it. He knows that he couldn't bear it; it would hurt Volodymyr and Maksym would rather die than do that. Instead, he takes a deep breath, swallows down his anger.
“Alright, sir. It's alright. Take a deep breath for me.”
He hears the stuttered inhale and offers a small smile in reward.
“There. And another one. Keep hold of me.”
They stand there for a long minute together, Volodymyr breathing deeply, Maksym his silent echo. It passes, in the end; Volodymyr's world stops spinning wildly out of control, brought back to anchor by a pair of steady hands, a familiar, careworn face.

Hi Soup! Hoping you can spill your secrets about how you write your characters fighting with each other and making it both realistic and still loving? I'm always so scared about writing arguments even though I know they are a natural and healthy part of a relationship. For some reason I hate admitting my characters have flaws, but I know it makes them less interesting to always be so nice to each other. You have such a knack for balancing their personalities and the reasons they get upset with each other and then their apologies later.
Hi Lis!! Its so nice answering your asks off anon 😝
Alright so I've been thinking on how to better answer this, since I was literally writing a conflict when you sent it.
I think my tips to writing arguments/conflict are these:
Start small: anything can be a source of conflict, if you're inflexible enough. You don't need to give your characters these huge flaws, you can literally write fights out of one character thinking taking the main avenue is the best way to avoid traffic, while the other think they should do a shortcut and then when they get stuck they're both frustrated. None of these things make them evil or bad, it just gives them different perspectives and that's more than enough to start a conflict.
Everyone has flaws and everyone has bad behavior. Even your most precious OC. Being very harsh: Luke is too much, Jonah is selfish, Wendy is vain, Bella is proud, Leo is possessive, Vince is spineless, Max is judgmental. These don't make them terrible people, in fact, most of these traits have their own happy flip side.
Luke is too much, so he loves with his whole heart and with absolute no sense of consequence. Luke is the type of guy who brings everyone together and that people want to impress and be liked by, but this also the type of person who's highly susceptible to criticism (in his case, his father's), who takes reckless decisions, who is scared of being alone and who clings to people too tightly.
I often think a character's flaw and biggest quality can be quite similar. Vince avoids conflicts and that's what makes him this huge, likable teddy bear, but also why he's the type of person who omits information (cough, the whole deal with moving to Doveport), who'll avoid making up his mind for as long as possible and hurt those around him because of it.
So I do recommend looking into your OCs and thinking what makes them tick. Is Rory stubborn? Proud? He did go fishing into the deep sea and didn't want to own up to it to his friends, what does that say to you about him? Which situations would cause his worst side to jump out? And how would those around him react to that?
It's okay if not all characters are understanding to your character's flaws.
Jonah gets tired of Luke's intense personality easily. He's too secure in himself to want to be liked by Luke, like most people tend to, and he's too sullen of a person to tolerate his high energy. This doesn't mean he hates Luke, but it does mean that if Lucas' starts to lean into the worst of his personality, the first to lash out at him will always be Jonah.
Noa and Rory have been together for years, but how long did it take for them to get used to each other? Did they learn to avoid fights or did they compromise in certain aspects and keep fighting in others?
Another thing to keep in mind is to keep your fights clean. Unless you want to have a huge argument that will take you time to navigate and have your OCs changing their behaviors and personality, avoid fighting below the belt. If Nora brought up Rory's dead sibling in a fight, this would be below the belt. It's the type of hit you can't come back from, that requires not only an apology, but a change in behavior.
When Leo tells Jonah to not use his mental health against him, it's the type of fight that's drawing an invisible line and one that if I had Jonah repeatedly crossing, I'd be making his character toxic. That would be totally OKAY, by the way, if I meant to do that! Writing toxic characters is fun! But its not the story I'm telling, so I don't have Jon doing that, I have his character changing.
Uhhhh this is already so so long, so I'll quit the rambling. But I just wanted to say, don't be scared to make certain parts of your characters ugly and annoying and gross, we all are these things, and having someone who loves us despite our flaws and maybe even because of our flaws is much deeper than pretending to be perfect.

REPLIES TO SAFFY LAMBASTING LIAM
Tumblr media
@windermeresimblr
Wow! There's Saffy's backbone.
Yeah she's not known for holding back!
@drudragonrose
She's with a boy her own age that she actually likes. Be gone worm!
Tumblr media
@ivorycrayon
Man, you write shades of grey so well. It’s hard to root for anybody, but it’s also hard to condemn anybody completely because all your characters’ actions are way too complex. “He’s wrong but..” “She shouldn’t have to deal with this but..” I could use your characters if I ever taught ethics class 😂 (except for Anita, that is, I always struggle to find any redeeming qualities in that lady :P)
Thank you so much Ash! I love writing morally grey characters who have questionable (but hopefully relatable) motives so it's extremely heartening to read your comment. And I love how steadfast you've always been in your opinion of Anita, lol!
@keoni-chan
I don't like this one bit. I hope Liam's brand new backbone doesn't evolve into an "if I can't have you..."-situation 😱
who knows what might have happened if fate hadn't intervened....
Tumblr media
@dresdendarlin
Oooh it’s his snapping moment. He’s gonna do something drastic and crazier next.
Tumblr media
@batsheba
Ok, now let's see if he, the creep Liam, can process this information?! Whatever happens I hope Saffy will be ok... I'm worried Liam will do something utterly stupid and potentially dangerous.
Tumblr media
@oasislandingresident
Ooooh shit's about to go down!!! 🍿
Tumblr media
@kimmiessimmies
I'm with @batsheba, this is not going to go down well with Liam...
Tumblr media
@wannabecatwriter
Be careful, Saffron. He's in a weird mindstate now.
Tumblr media
@bool-prop
Oh no. He's going to snap.
Tumblr media
@muses-circle
🤦
Tumblr media
@muses-circle
Liam will either have a meltdown right there, in the parking lot, or he'll wait until he's in the middle of class and doing something worse. I'm worried about what his breaking point will look like.
Tumblr media
@muses-circle
And Saffron, men DO leave their wives. It's call divorce, honey. Life isn't as black and white as you think.
I didn't write Saffy's speech very well...what she was trying to say was that it's a well-known fact that married men never leave their wives for their side-pieces! She was actually quite enraged that Liam turned out to be the statistical anomaly, lol. That was the last thing she wanted to happen!
@echoweaver
Woo. Saffron's right, but wow she's still got so much growing up to do. OTOH, Liam seemed to be with her in large part because she verbally abused him. It's such a messed up puppy.
Yeah, he seems to derive a perverse satisfaction from being the victim and indulging in self-defeating behaviour. It's also not an accident that the two women in his life routinely humiliate and criticise him.😬
@sweetnovember77
Saffy's words can devastate ANYONE with strong emotions toward another person. It's like a knife to the heart.
Yeah, Saffy can be very acid-tongued. He probably deserved the wake up call but Saffy can count herself very lucky he didn't snap or do something as drastic as Stephanie.
@anamoon63
😮 This is not going to end well. I wish Saffy had been a little more diplomatic. 😔
It definitely did not end well, but fortunately for Saffy she was not the one who was impacted the most! I hope at the very least she learns some important life lessons from this whole sorry experience.
@simsaralove
I really hope this will make Mr. Yucky realize he better go live in the Twinbrook swamps and not make him do something stupid and ruin Saffy’s happiness 😭
Tumblr media
@justanothersimsblog
I'd tell her to slap him but I think he likes that so... maybe knee him in the balls then lol
lol he is such a pathetic masochist that he would probably enjoy that too!😆
@greywardenconsort
He's a monster thru & thru
A sad, spineless, loser monster.
Tumblr media
@streetlites
That's gotta sting. Bwahahah. Also, what did he think she was going to do? Leap into his arms? She was never like that toward him to begin with.
Tumblr media
@mysimsloveaffair
They are both better off without each other. Saffy is doing him a favor and he doesn't even know it. SMH
Liam was always doomed by his poor life decisions and victim mentality. I'm also thinking that it was possible he had affairs as a passive-aggressive form of revenge, but didn't count on falling so heavily for Saffy. In any case, I think he got what he deserved.

The Great War
Summary: you can't help but compare Rooster to your old fling, but can you make it out of the war without losing him?
Tumblr media
My knuckles were bruised like violets Sucker punching walls, cursed you as I sleep-talked Spineless in my tomb of silence Tore your banners down, took the battle underground And maybe it was ego swinging Maybe it was her Flashes of the battle come back to me in a blur
The rain was falling down as you lay there, trying to escape the memories, while trying not to wake Rooster up. Memories of Jake and your relationship, if you could even call that, came back in a blur. The moments that you spent together, the many times you let him break you and the moment he finally manages to break your heart. All of those memories that you had pushed far away came back after you saw him at the Hard Deck last night and you didn’t know how to push them back into the box.
All that bloodshed, crimson clover Uh-huh, sweet dream was over My hand was the one you reached for All throughout the Great War Always remember Uh-huh, tears on the letter I vowed not to cry anymore If we survived the Great War
Rooster was the picture-perfect boyfriend, always there for you no matter what and the most supportive person you’ve ever had by your side. But you still couldn’t stop your mind from imagining the worst-case scenarios. You tried not to cry as you lay there in the bathroom after pushing him away for the hundred time, just because your mind couldn’t stop comparing him to Jake.
You drew up some good faith treaties I drew curtains closed, drank my poison all alone You said I have to trust more freely But diesel is desire, you were playin' with fire And maybe it's the past that's talkin' Screamin' from the crypt Tellin' me to punish you for things you never did So I justified it
He had been laughing with Phoenix all night long and although deep down you knew nothing was happening between them you couldn’t help but feel insecure at the sight of them, old feelings coming back to life.
“There you are, I’ve been searching for you everywhere.”, you hear a few minutes later and turn to see Rooster, smiling at you while you feel sick.
“Really? You looked quite busy with Phoenix over there.”, Rooster takes a step back at your cold tone and you sigh closing your eyes.
“Sorry, I-work has been stressful.”, you say softly and Rooster nods, but he seems hesitant, and you can’t blame him.
The rest of the night is spent together but as you lay in bed at night you can’t help but suffer through flashbacks of Jake flirting with everyone and ignoring you before coming back at your house and telling you that you were being stupid.
It was stupid of you to put all of that on Rooster, to punish him for things he never did and yet you couldn’t stop your mind from tricking you in every way possible.
It turned into something bigger Somewhere in the haze, got a sense I'd been betrayed Your finger on my hair pin triggers Soldier down on that icy ground Looked up at me with honor and truth Broken and blue, so I called off the troops That was the night I nearly lost you I really thought I lost you
“Just talk to me!”, he yells through the room, and you can’t help but flinch at his words.
You know he was right; the last month had been hell with you pushing him away and not letting him in like you used to. Tonight, had been the last straw with you practically running out as soon as Jake came in, looking all cocky and bringing back memories you never wanted to see again.
“I-I don’t know.”, you whisper brokenly as you sit down at the table, and you don’t hear anything for a moment except Rooster’s long breaths.
You didn’t know what you had expected Rooster to do, maybe scoff at your state like Jake did when you had confessed your feelings after sleeping with each other for three months. Then leave and never look back like the blond pilot had done. But soft hands take yours and as you look up from your intertwined hands you see Rooster looking at you lovingly.
“It’s alright, I’m here.”, he squeezes your hand, and you can’t help but let out a sob at his words, his eyes filled with truth and love. He takes you into his arms and you stay there for god knows how long, just holding each other while you sob in his arms.
He holds you while you break and comforts you without hesitation, whispering sweet nothing’s. that is the moment you realize that you have to let go of the past and that deep down you have always known that Rooster would’ve never done what Jake did. And as your mind tries to find something to dissuade you, you start to think of all of your moments with Rooster and your sobs quieten down.
You tell him everything that night, what happened with Jake and how you couldn’t help but let the past take over, through that process hurting him. He listens to every word you say, his jaw tightening when you talk about Jake and what happened and when you are finally done, he just looks at you.
“I’m sorry, you didn’t deserve that, and I understand if you don’t want anything to do with me.”, you whisper softly and after a few seconds you feel Rooster’s hands taking your cheeks before he kisses your forehead, lingering there for a moment.
“I love you, even after everything. It will take some time for the both of us but let’s try and build us back together. Thank you for telling me.”, he whispers softly, and you can’t help but let a few tears slide down your cheeks as you hold him tighter.
To that bloodshed, crimson clover Uh-huh, the worst was over My hand was the one you reached for All throughout the Great War Always remember Uh-huh, we're burned for better I vowed I would always be yours 'Cause we survived the Great War
And as the first ray of sunshine’s appear while Rooster is holding you tightly, you know that the war was over and that you had found someone to help you get out of it.

I need to make a confession
I genuinely do not understand Buggy simps
Like I thought y'all were joking with the whole rooting for Buggy-thing but. No. People are actually seriously rooting for him. And I just don't get it.
Like. I can't tell if I'm missing something or if people are somehow completely misinterpreting his actual character. Like clearly it's meant to be one or the other and I can't tell which and I feel like I'm losing my mind because of it
'Cause the thing is that. Like. Until now, Buggy has been a pure gag character. He's no different from characters like Ceasar Clown and Spandam in that sense, he's just nowhere near as vile a human being as those other gag characters so he's marginally more lovable in what a pathetic fuck he is. But in the end, Buggy's just been there to be a punching bag (quite literally), because it's funny as hell to watch him eat shit And the reason it's funny IS because Buggy is a piece of shit. Again, not nearly as bad as Spamdam and co, but he's still a lying, cowardly, spineless douchebag who uses others for his own benefit and is willing to ditch anyone to save his own skin. Like Buggy was going to ditch his entire crew and flee by himself when the Shichibukai System was taken down and the Marines came for his head. He was going to leave his crew to die by themselves, without participating in the fight at all. Buggy was the one telling them to do the hard lifting while he'd escape, while the crew had no idea their beloved Chairman was going to abandon them. Literally the only reason Buggy failed to do that was because he was too slow and Crocodile got there before he managed to skedaddle.
He is essentially Usopp if Usopp wasn't willing to get beaten to death to protect his friends and their honor. Even fucking Luffy thinks Buggy is a pathetic idiot, and Luffy is the biggest indicator in the whole series on how to tell whether or not the readers should like a character or not. Not to mention, all the in-universe Buggy simps have been portrayed as (precious) idiots who can't see through Buggy's bullshit. Like every step of the story Oda has been trying to tell us that Buggy is an absolute loser.
So when people are like "Mihawk and Crocodile are going to see Buggy's ambition and become full Buggy supporters themselves!" I just
Are we reading the same comic???? HELLO????
Like I'll give you this, it would be objectively the funniest fucking outcome imaginable, which would be on-brand for Buggy and his trend of falling upwards.
But between Mihawk respecting people who are willing to abandon their honor to protect someone dear to them, and Crocodile's deep trust issues (possibly rooted in being betrayed in the past), I can not fucking fathom the two ever genuinely siding with Buggy the "I will leave you to die by yourself to save myself" Clown. Not when the two (and most other characters, including fucking Galdino and Daz) have been able to judge Buggy's character accurately (like how Crocodile was like "I thought you'd have ran away by now" when he arrived at Emptee Bluffs, and Buggy was like "yeah no shit")
Not unless Buggy grows enough of a spine that he'd be willing to sacrifice himself for someone (or at least get hurt on someone else's behalf to protect them), more specifically Mihawk and Crocodile. And let's be real, right now, Buggy probably wants nothing more than to run away from the two before they do actually kill him.
I just
Buggy simps. I do not understand you. I don't understand how you've reached your reading of the character.

I read ahead and this is sort of spoilery but do you think it’s important that Robin is now the age Andrew was when they split up? With her being so much younger maybe she looked up to Andrew and needed to experience being 33 first so she could see he was also just an idiot?
I think there is QUITE a lot going on here. We know the seeds of Robin's and Andrew's failure; Robin had no backbone and was spoiled, Andrew provided no support to Robin and was blind to her needs; it's the old Robin is spineless and Andrew is selfish/stubborn and between those two things the two cannot communicate to save their life. (This, in addition to the whole "Andrew is just back from the battlefield and snatched up anything to distract himself only to discover that Robin is a human being and not an actual otherworldly star.")
I agree the age gap is also a huge part of it, (as much as I hate agreeing with Aunt Irene). What did Andrew say, about being ten years older and the war making it twenty? Related and yet distinct from the age gap, I think the issue was, always, at heart, maturity. Robin was not mature enough to communicate her needs to Andrew; Robin was (presumably) a bit of a spoiled little girl. and ANDREW??? we don't even need to get started there, but he was worse. He was not mature enough to keep his temper in check; it's almost like Robin had not yet grown up, and Andrew had refused to. Like someone else pointed out, this man got sulky over...HAVING A BABY.
Both Robin and Andrew were always treated like children by the people who 'loved' them; Robin by the grandmother, and Andrew by Aunt Irene. So these two people meet each other, and they expect the other to treat them like they're used to. Andrew expects Robin to purr over him and meet his every need with delight aka Aunt Irene; Robin expects Andrew to take care of her every need and sparing her from every real-world problem her aka the grandmother. After all, that's what love looks like. (the line between the grandmother and Andrew is less clear to me when it comes to how it would affect Robin's expectations, but lies in the difference between cushy wealth and hard poverty.)
To be successful, both need to grow up. Robin needs to grow a spine and learn how to tell people off (including Andrew!), and Andrew needs to realize there is someone else in the universe besides Andrew. Both are capable of doing so; they were married very happily for a year; but until Robin demonstrates courage, and Andrew unselfishness, their marriage can't succeed. So, to answer your question - i think that Robin's age would help her here, but it wouldn't be enough on its own. A Robin who lived as she does with the grandmother for ten years is a different Robin than the young woman who eloped with her idea of a handsome prince. No one could go through what she has and be the same. But as long as Robin allows people to run her over, I can't see things working out (after all, Aunt Irene is still lurking).
The same goes for Andrew (if not doubly so). He's going to have to learn to put down his pride. Notably, I think we've seen Andrew already take steps towards this - he wrote Robin the letter, he puts Jane's needs first, and overall, has really stepped up. There's a lot to indicate that Andrew has changed for the better. He's still an arrogant dumbass in a lot of ways, though.
I think Robin has hoped for past ten+ years that Andrew would come rescue her, and then he finally (via letter) shows up - and it's for Jane. The first letter he's written Robin in over a decade is one in which it's strongly implied that he threatens to take Jane away from her for good, so (and i recognize this is glossing over an enormous amount of complexities) he's just as imperious with her as ever. Robin locks Jane out and isn't brave enough to talk to her own daughter about what's happening, so she's just as spineless as ever (and uncommunicative about Andrew as ever). It hasn't mattered that ten years have passed; the two are still in their old patterns.
The strength of the parents' relationship (whether this framework is healthy or not, it's the one lmm uses in the book) is reflected in their relationship to and treatment of Jane. LMM uses Jane as the lens to show the parents' growth, or lack thereof. Andrew was terrible when Jane was a baby, but now that he's stepped up as a dad, he's implied to be ready to reunite with Robin. Once they start parenting Jane, it's the tacit approval of the text of their maturity/completion of their arc. Based on the framework of the book, for Robin to be ready to reunite with Andrew, she's going to have to stand up for Jane.
major spoilers under the break
imo the last chapter is one of the weakest in the book due to this framework. It takes it too far by explicitly stating (albeit through an unreliable narrator) that the success of the parents' relationship depends on Jane, which is just ridiculous. That being said, while the parents' reunion is the end of the book, I don't think it's the emotional zenith of the book at all (that honor goes to the chapter before, one my favorite chapters in the whole book <3). The reunion happens pretty quickly and is almost like 'okay been there done that' lmao.

GAP The Series Episode 11 Thoughts
So, did I cancel all my Saturday appointments for the next two weeks, so I can see watch the last few episodes of this beloved series, the minute they drop? Yes. Yes I did. Do I feel guilty about this choice, even a little bit?
Tumblr media
And we kick things off directly where we left off. With Sam coming to see her grandmother, wearing those gorgeous pearls in the house that is as cold and empty as her soul! Urgh. Why can't she just accidentally fall down those stairs??? It would be doing us all a favour!!! But no. Sam has to sit there, looking uncomfortable AF whilst dishonourable Grandmother sits there, talking about wedding dates with I-hope-he-soon-becomes-roadkill Kirk! And I am SCREAMING with all the frustration Sam is feeling right now. Urgh!!! This woman stays being the worst!!!!
Tumblr media
2. Honestly, I really NEED Sam to at some point, to tell Dishonorable grandmother that since she "likes" Kirk so much, and believes that he is the only one capable of creating a perfect family and life with the woman he chooses to marry, then grandma should marry him herself. Kirk with his ingratiating ass probably won't say "no", and grandma can experience that perfect family and life that she so desperately wants, for herself!
3. Good on Sam!! Ask her the questions. It's so easy for grandma to give orders, and Sam obeys cuz she loves the old witch. But what about the other way round? From what position is Dishonorable grandmother giving all these orders disguised as "advice"?
4. Aaaaaaand of course she's claiming that she does so because she "loves" Sam. Is it really love, when you're not actually listening to what your granddaughter wants? Is it love when you're running roughshod over her wishes and forcing her to a life of unwanted heterosexuality with a backstabbing piece of shit like Kirk? Someone who's already shown very little regard for Sam's wishes, and shown that he's quite capable of going behind her back to arrange a deal with a rival company without telling her because somewhere in that big brain of his that he doesn't use, he thinks that Sam would for some reason be happy to be led by the nose to a decision she didn't ask for, and certainly doesn't want? Is that what love looks like to you Dishonourable liar? What a fucking lie!!!!
Tumblr media
5. Of course all she cares about is reputation. Not the happiness of her grandchildren. It's why one left home and never looked back. And while the second one is dead. And now you have dearest Sam, buckling under all the weight and expectations that Dishonorable grandmother has put on her poor shoulders and I really wish I could enter this show and scream at her grandmother on her behalf.
6. Atta girl! Call her out Sam! Call her out for her homophobia and her shitty parenting! Let her see that she's already lost two grandchildren, and she's about to lose a third. Of course, she can always make the decision to adopt Kirk and have him as her grandson. With the way he jumps to her commands like the spineless lapdog he is, he definitely fits all the criteria she wants in a grandchild.
7. And now she's trying to emotionally manipulate Sam into going along with her wishes; which I totally expected, because truly there's no level Dishonourable grandmother wouldn't sink to, to get her wishes. It is clear that she has plotted out a course for her grandchildren's lives, and just one step outside of those coloured lines, has her losing her shit. Which is infuriating. Children do not exist to help you find fulfillment or to live out your dreams for you. They are independent beings, here in this world to have their own experiences, live their lives and chart their own course. Your job as a parent/guardian is to give them the tools and knowledge they need to survive in the world, and then let them go, to go live their lives and make those choices. And all you can do is hope that they make the right ones. All of this just further reiterates how horrible of a parental figure Dishonourable grandmother truly is, and that the only reason her granddaughters turned out to be decent, is because they are by their own nature, good people. Grandmother though... She is absolute trash. Gods I hate this woman so much!!
Tumblr media
8. And this is why we push for marriage equality and queer people to be allowed to marry. Because if you live in a country where you do not have that protection, your partner can't legally be allowed to do anything for you. They can't sign forms. They can't make medical decisions on your behalf. They can't do shit. And because of the heteronormative, patriarchal society that a lot of us live in, that power is instead given to relatives who are often homophobic and don't have your best interests at heart. Add to the pain of being the partner who can't do anything for the one you love, because society insists on its bullshit and loves is so attached to the concept of heterosexuality, and they've put that power in the hands of everybody else but you, and FUCK!!! I am screaming in rage and pain because Ice doesn't deserve this. Song doesn't deserve this. We don't deserve this. FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
9. This fucking bitch. This failed excuse of a parental figure. This absolute waste of fucking space. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING???? Your granddaughter is in the ICU, dying!!! There is a consent form that needs YOUR signature so the doctors can operate on her to save her life. But all your brain can think of is to attack her lover? Seriously???? SERIOUSLY??? Trash. Absolute fucking trash. What in the rage-inducing bullshit of a behaviour is this????? Why are you not asking about Song right now??? How is it her fault that your granddaughter was involved in an accident you witch!!! The person who's to blame for the emotional state Song was in, is YOU! You Blame-shifting-energy-sucking-vampire-masquerading as a grandmother bitch!
Tumblr media
10. A part of me wonders if Dishonourable grandmother really lacks any form of self-awareness. The fact that even after all this time, she is so quick to remove herself from the role SHE played in Song's death is infuriating to me. The reason why Song is dead isn't because she was gay you failed excuse of a parent! It's because you were toxic as fuck, and in separating from you, the parental figure who was meant to show her unconditional love, but instead wanted neat little dolls whose lives you could dictate, turned on her. YOU are the reason she is dead. Not Ice. Not her being gay. YOU!!!! And I swear, if this show tries to hurt Sam in any way, to get this witch to get her head out of her FUCKING ass to see how much she is killing the one granddaughter she has left, I WILL FUCKING SCREAM!!!!!
Tumblr media
11. This emotional manipulation of "everything I do is for you. I've raised you since you were a kid. Won't you do this for me" is taking some many pages out of the abusive parent textbook, and Sam is so vulnerable, I just know she is buying this bullshit and URGH!!! I AM SO PISSED!!!! She's deliberately mixing her false concern with the homophobia to disguise the fact that what she really wants is to control you. Don't fall for it Sam. DO NOT LISTEN TO HER!!!!
12. Fuck! Now she's hiding from Mon. Grandmother's toxin has gotten to her. Fuck!! What's the use of having a spouse who will "protect you" when they can't ensure your joy, or protect your peace? All you will be in that marriage is miserable. You deserve better Sam. You deserve better. My poor baby.
Tumblr media
13. Sam really does have the best friends. Look at them in Mon's house, comforting her girl. Mon my darling. There is so much you do not know about Dishonourable grandmother. Your mother has more honour in her little pinky that that witch has in her entire body.
14 But I am thankful to Idol Factory for giving me some TeeYuki fluff to help with the pain. Look at my secondary ship being so sweet. Tee keeps asking Yuki to get her things, to help preserve Sam's privacy so it's only Mon they are revealing all these secrets about Sam's family life to, and I am happy that they are respecting Sam's privacy whilst also giving us hints of TeeYuki's relationship in the same breath. And Yuki sweetheart. I don't blame you. If Tee asks me to go get water for the baby, I'm bringing a full-on tank for her! If she asks me to cut fruits, I'm bringing in the whole fucking orchard. My queen deserves ONLY the best. And she's getting it. Tee. Mommy. Have mercy. Please.
Tumblr media
15. Awwwww. Look at our brave Mon, still going back to ring the doorbell. She's like "I will never give up on us Khun Sam", and I LOVE THAT!!!! I love LOVE that from the start of the show, we have established that Mon is quite stubborn, and has never given up even when Sam was being an absolute bitch to her! That tenacity is going to serve you well now Mon. You will need to tap into that and hold on with your bloody fingers, cuz Dishonourable grandmother will try pulling Sam over to on Comphet shenanigans. Resist!! Be the stubborn lovable Mon that we all know. DO NOT GIVE UP ON OUR GIRL!!!
Tumblr media
16. Their interlocked fingers!!! Be still my heart!! I know there's a ton of pain coming over the next episode and a half (until we get our happy ending in episode 12), so I'm holding onto this moment of sweetness to tide me over!!!
17. I knew she was going to say she would marry Kirk. Like, we all saw the trailer. We saw her in the wedding dress. We KNEW this was coming. But shit! This still FUCKING HURTS!!! Mon's face is killing me. Looking at the pain. All that pain!!!! Becky's acting in this scene. Her tears. Sam's powerlessness. This scene is breaking my heart. Smashing it into smithereens. My poor babies. Fuuuuuuuuuck. Have I said it enough today? But I really REALLY hate that fucking grandmother. Dishonourable witch!
Tumblr media
18. I can't deal with this!!! Like, don't get me wrong. I'm grateful that this is happening in episode 11. Cuz we know we only have to deal with this for one episode and that we will get our happy ending in the next episode. But shit. This hurts. This fucking hurts. My heart!!!
Tumblr media
19. And now, they are saying their "i love you's" and having their goodbye sex. And this fucking hurts. This fucking hurts so much. Even down to the doggy pet name. Why does this show want to break me. I can't handle this. I can't handle this. Someone send help. FUck!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
20. Hold up. I think my brain is only just catching up to this. But hold up. Did Mon just agree to be Sam's side-piece? Like Sam is going to marry Kirk, but still be secretly dating Mon? Cuz um... My girl Mon deserves better than to be the other woman. If there should be any othering in this drama, it should be Kirk. And by that I mean he should other himself out of the room, out of the picture, out of the fucking drama. Damn twat!
Tumblr media
21. Aaaaaand it's fucking Kirk at the door. Urgh! His face. I really really hate seeing his face. Why do I have to suffer this injustice. Fucking Kirk!!!
22. Self-righteous deceitful prick! You are not sorry that she has to leave the company. Don't come with your bullshit lies. You know that Sam won't give you the time of the day with Mon around, and you're trying everything to keep our two girls apart. I see right through your deceitful little face!!! You can't lie to me.
Tumblr media
23. Urgh!!! Will it be other people that will see Mon as a home wrecker, or are you talking about yourself Kirk? Because the person who is wrecking a home filled with love right now, is you!!! And I know, I already mentioned earlier that my girl Mon, deserves better than being a side-piece, but I don't want this shit coming from Kirk. You have no room to talk, or leg to stand on. Fuck you. And fuck off!
Tumblr media
24. The soft tones with which Kirk is making this statement and asking that Mon stay away from Sam; him having the audacity to say that if not for Mon, he and Sam would already be married, is grating on my nerves. Keep fucking yourself Kirk. Piece of shit!!!
Tumblr media
25. I briefly interrupt our moment of pain to make this very important announcement: Neung is sooooo fine!!! I swear, the amount of face candy that Gap's served us through these many episodes.Add the fact that I have a weakness for older artistic women, who work with their hands and are quite good at their craft and I've been swooning ever since. That smile as she gets for Mon's number????
Tumblr media
26. Neung straight out calling Dishonourable grandmother a witch! I knew I loved her for a reason. She has zero fucks to give about that woman, and I desperately need Sam to get to that point before the show ends. But I doubt if this show is going to address that. They're probably going to have Sam reconcile with Dishonourable grandmother at some point, and try and mend the rift between her and Neung. When that happens, y'all can bet, I will be watching my TV, seething at the screen!
Tumblr media
27. You go Neung! Call your baby sis and talk some sense into her. Don't let her fall into Dishonourable grandmother's clutches. Give her gorgeous tush the push she needs to walk away from the woman!!!
28. Fuck!!! Mon's packing up all her pink dresses. My heart. This pain!!!! And all the flashbacks!!! Gap!!!!!! Why do you hurt me so???? Why are you breaking me? Do you feed off my pain??? Do my tears make you happy????
Tumblr media
29. Aaaaaand she's all packed up and leaving. Sam!! Where are you? Your girl's leaving!!
30. Ha! She made it home. Not like it would help anything though. You're choosing to follow your grandmother and marry Kirk the human trash heap. Mon's going to leave. It will break both your hearts, but you need to choose YOU. Not your grandmother, and her bullshit words and manipulations. You need to choose YOUR happiness. YOUR safety. YOUR Joy. YOUR love. I hope Sam realizes it early enough. I don't want to have to wait till the last 5mins of episode 12 before we get our happy ending. Cuz that shit would hurt!!!!
31. Mon's not saying it, but her eyes are doing that Meredith thing; asking Sam to choose her, and I am in so much pain!!!!
Tumblr media
32. I know Sam's saying that she's going to find a solution for them, and fight back. But with Dishonourable grandmother, and human trash heap Kirk, my expectations are low. Cuz I don't think those two will give up without a fight. And Sam's too vulnerable to their bullshit to resist.
33. Ha!!! She's calling the calvary! That's actually a pretty smart move on her part. She knows that she will fold like a wet noodle in front of her grandmother and Kirk. But Neung? Neung will give as good as she gets. And she's spent enough time away from their grandmother to be able to pull it off. But honestly, I hope both Sam and Neung both tell her Dishonourable grandmother the truth, and let her know of the consequences of the bullshit she keeps pulling: that she would end up alone. In that big empty house. With Kirk as company. Which honestly, when you think about it, is exactly what she deserves.
Tumblr media
34. Dishonourable grandmother asking if Sam wants her dead
Everyone who is currently watching this show, and especially this episode:
Tumblr media
35. And of course she's having heart palpitations. Sam. Don't fall for it. She's trying to manipulate you into doing what she wants. It's all part of her plan. Resist it! Don't fall for her, or human trash heap Kirk's face guilt tripping face! Stand strong!!!
36. Thank God! Neung is here!!! Help Sam resist. Don't let her fall for the bullshit that Dishonourable grandmother is saying. Come save your sister. Hurry!!! She's starting to fall for the tears and bullshit.
37. And look at that entrance!!! YESSSSSSS NEUNG!!! CALL HER OUT!!! CALL HER OUT ON THE BULLSHIT!!!!!
Tumblr media
38. Also, anyone else noticed how Dishonourable grandmother suddenly got all "better" and wasn't looking as weak or frail the minute Neung walked in, and called out her ass???? Fucking lying bitch!!! Keep calling her out Neung. Be the voice for the audience!!!!
39. Sam girl. Neung is trying to help you. Her words might be harsh, but she's saying the truth. Your grandmother is trying to take advantage of your soft heart and love for her. Listen to your sister!!!
40. The verbal lashing!!! The verbal lashing that Neung is giving Dishonourable grandmother is EVERYTHING I WANTED!!! EVERYTHING!!! Oh my God!!! I didn't think this show was going to question to what extent filial piety turns into abuse, and how our elders can in turn wield it as a tool to have us cater to their selfish whims. Neung my heart. Keep going. EVISCERATE HER!!! SPEAK ALL THAT TRUTH!!! Break that house of cards, made of emotional manipulation that Dishonorable grandmother has built. Have it come crashing down!! Some truths are hard to swallow, but please shove them down her selfish throat!!!
Tumblr media
41. I love that Neung is the catalyst. The turning point that Sam needs to make her decision. She's the one that walked away, stay away, and thrived on her own terms. Song didn't get that chance because she was killed just before she could. But Neung, who represents what it means to walk away from the wealth, and privilege and prestige that their grandmother holds, being on one side of the divide, and her grandmother being on the other side, is such a nice contrast. And of course, grandmother is trying to hold Sam back by stating that she would cut her off. But let's be honest. What exactly would Sam be losing if she does that? Sam's built her own business outside of her grandmother, so it's not like she needs the woman's money. The one thing that her grandmother can offer her is the love of an older relative, which she wasn't giving her anyway. Sam, honey. Walk away. WALK AWAY!!!
42. You can hear the pain in Neung's voice. She's so desperate to save Sam; to get her to walk away from their grandmother. I think a part of that is rooted in the guilt she feels. That she left her siblings with her, and Song died, whilst Sam became this girl, so terrified to grasp her happiness with her two hands if it would displease their grandmother. She so wants Sam to choose herself. To choose her own happiness, and love. And I am rooting for all three of them (Sam, Mon and Neung). I'm hoping that Sam makes the right choice. But with how deep grandmother's sunk her talons into my girl, I doubt if she would break free this episode. But still, I can't stop hoping because fuck! THIS EPISODE IS PAIN!!!!!
Tumblr media
43. OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!! She did it!! She actually walked away from Dishonourable grandmother and chose her own happiness, and love with Mon? OMG!!! OMG!!! Sam!!! My girl. My brilliant, brilliant girl. She did it! She did it!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
44. Neung is so proud. I'm so proud. She did it!!! Our baby girl did it!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
Aaaaaaaaand I just saw the preview for episode 12. What. The. FUCK?!!!!!!!!!

You know how I said that man would inevitably disappoint me? Well holy fucking shit if this isn't the only time he's ever delivered, and in the worst possible way. There won't be any CanNats fashion takes from me if he dares show his face there because I don't intend on watching. His blatant disregard for every human being he's ever come across is downright psychopathic and it's been filling me with rage for days. I can't imagine what that poor woman has gone through, carrying the trauma all these years, while watching him soar in his career and get praise, support and love from the blissfully unaware. I'm so sorry she went through that and I'm happy for her that she felt healed enough to expose him.
That said, Skate Canada wouldn't be Skate Canada if it did anything right. It's failed test after test, each of increasing difficulty, each time hiding behind a "due process" that is conveniently designed to fail survivors. But the sheer spinelessness it's been displaying in this case is such a low point, it's limbo dancing in hell. What baffles me is that it isn't even trying to cover its own ass, and I don't even know if it comes from hubris or sheer ineptitude and passivity. Even if it has no procedural recourse, the fact that no one, especially IAM, has had the cojones to go up to this fool and tell him in no uncertain terms that he won't be going anywhere next week is baffling to me. Their lack of self-preservation in this case should be studied by psychopathologists. I've felt for some time now that IAM has been losing its moral compass, but I was torn to shreds for voicing this opinion online, because this is apparently a lot of skating fans' emotional support coaching team. But they're human, and fallible, and in this case, they seem to be dying on a hill that's barely even a mound and it's bananas to witness. They so easily could've claimed an injury, announced a retirement and bounced, but they went to the GPF regardless, and their coaches at the very least went along with it, despite the fact that they were simultaneously screwing over another one of their teams in the process, in this case AlliSaul. I've long advocated against the disease that is skatingitis, which is the condition of not being able to see anything outside of skating, with the most severe case ever being Aljona. But how does this level of loss of perspective even happen? How far does one's head need to be up one's ass not to be able to read the fucking room to this extent? Are they truly that arrogant to think they can just show up at Nationals like it's nbd? At the very least, the other competitors don't deserve this shit to cast a pall over their event, which for many will be the last of the season.
I also can't help but think about how he inserted himself into Lolo's life, pursued her relentlessly despite her having a bf at the time, and he's now passed like a tornado through it, probably leaving her wondering what the hell it was all for. And the callous way he's treated her over the years, even calling her "a nobody" in the retelling of the tale of their tryout and decision to skate together, as if he is in any position to look down upon her. He had the right idea that time when he stabbed himself with a knife he himself had forged. How poetic, he should turn it into a hobby.
They weren't kissy at the GPF but she still made the decision to attend this event with him and pretend everything was hunky-dory, nothing to see here, business as usual. I understand wanting one last hurrah, but if this is a case of a trauma bond or codependency or whatever, why is nobody on her team looking out for her well-being? Why is nobody putting a foot down? What on earth do they think is going to happen? He's basically comicbook villain levels of vile. And to also think of all the collateral damage he's caused in the form of talented skaters quitting because he showed up to skate for Canada and they felt like there was no room for them to move up? Hell, Caro and Shane switched fucking countries at great personal expense and by all accounts Skate Canada made them pass through the Devil's Anus to do it, and now to watch it cower and dodge responsibility when it comes to something so fucking major? Seriously, when will there be a reckoning for Skate Canada? It's been losing the plot for a long ass time, doing clown shit even in a court of fucking law (thank god for that judge, though). What needs to happen? Does Sheldon Kennedy need to roll up there and bitch-slap some sense into them? What is the hold this raggedy-ass, good-for-nothing, held-togehter-with-paperclips, manbun-for-personality violent rapist have over them? He's done. Why go down with the ship? It's all disgusting and infuriating and disappointing and scary. All of these people have the integrity of an H&M t-shirt that falls apart after a single wash as far as I'm concerned. But I know nothing will change unless we hit them where it hurts, which is why I'll be contacting their sponsors, and I urge others to do so as well, because skating has been an amoral system for far too long and the victims are too many at this point, and clearly nobody cares about them. Something's gotta give. Anyway, I wish Marjo and Zak a very 4CC medal and Corpse Bride a good time at Worlds, amen amen amen.
Posted without comment because I have nothing to add, you've said it all.

I haven't talked about it too extensively, but here's some dynamics Vincent has back home:
Mimi Augustus - his wife, whom he tries to forget about all the time back in Texas. They're actually good friends-- or were, until Vincent came back. He tries to perform being the same guy he's always been for her, but they've been married for like, 14 years, and she can read him like a book sometimes. But the more she tries to prod into why he's acting and feeling so off, the more closed off and aggressive he becomes. Part of that also stems from influence the stag has on the both of them, but it's fine. He constantly regrets how he treats her, but can't stop himself, either. It's a constantly pendulum of snapping and aggression, then kindness and gentleness to compensate for what he's done. He needs her help but he refuses to accept it. By the end, he thinks he'll deserve whatever happens to him.
Ava Augustus - his daughter. Yeah, it's easy to forget he has a whole child but he does KRKFN and honestly they were very close prior to him leaving for Texas. Ava has always been a bit of a daddy's girl and Vincent absolutely adores her, but I get the feeling Ava is going to be an afterthought for him and Mimi once the plot takes off no matter how much she tries to understand what's happening. There's so much shit to worry about and neither of them want to get her involved, and eventually it's better to just remove her from their household entirely until things get better or something finally gives. Whatever comes first.
Elizabeth Augustus Montgomery - his older sister. I never thought about it but Vincent's life is dominated by women back home. She's sharp-tongued and has quite the spine compared to Vincent, and though she teases him a lot, they get along exceptionally well. Liz is also best friends with Mimi, so she's a staple of their home. The Augustus home (which, coincidentally, was her and Vincent's childhood home to begin with) is practically a second home for Liz to the point she and her husband lived with Mimi while Vincent was gone. She's really tough on him when she has to be; she keeps Vincent in check, basically, and although he's a prideful man, he does listen to her, or tries to. Eventually, it'll be the thing that drives a huge wedge between herself and Vincent. The more she pushes on how he treats Mimi (very poorly by the end of SDTA) or his secretiveness, the more he hates her.
Ambrose Montgomery - his brother-in-law. This probably won't be a very relevant dynamic at all, but I may as well mention him. Vincent has never really gotten along with Ambrose. Ambrose is extremely arrogant, rude, and snarky, and he's never liked Vincent in return. He thinks Vincent is spineless and soft, and Vincent thinks he's rude and overly critical. Neither is necessarily wrong about the other. It's hard to tell whether Ambrose and Liz even get along, but Liz is the only person who can rein him in at all because she's equally snarky and outspoken. He's pretty indifferent to things, and honestly the more time goes on, wants less and less to do with his wife's family, but he'll probably be stuck helping Liz raise Ava in the end.
Salmon & Hiram Wilson - his bosses & uncles. The Wilson brothers aren't actually related to Vincent's family at all, but they've always been like family to Vincent and Liz, but Vincent especially (though I think Salmon's got a soft spot for Liz, he loves that she's a tough bitch lol). Hiram is very quiet and serious, and tries to steer Vincent in the right direction. He has no children of his own and is terribly paternal towards the Augustus children, even well into their 30s and 40s. Salmon is kind of a complete cunt, but a loving one, at least. He teases and jabs at Vincent constantly and finds him a little lame, but wants the best for him. Hiram gives constructive critiques, but Salmon will go hard onto Vincent if he thinks Vincent is doing the wrong thing or if he's just pissing Salmon off. Another bridge to be burned by Vincent in the end.
Nicholas Pierce - his childhood best friend. I'm not certain when they met in childhood exactly, but probably as pre-teens. Vincent and Nick were always extremely close, and I think Vincent was in love with him for as long as they knew each other (and probably similar for Nick) but neither ever acted on it. They lived together in college and did everything together for a time. Nick ended up finding a wife first and Vincent probably sobbed his eyes out for months leading up to and including at Nick's wedding. He's always been very clingy to Nick, though it lessened as they both got married and matured. Vincent stopped being so emotional (or at least began suppressing that part of himself) and they grew apart, though they stayed friendly. By the time Vincent gets back from Texas, they probably haven't spoken in a couple of years. Vincent tries to rekindle their friendship out of sheer loneliness and desperation, but I don't think it'll work out. He'll try to force their romance again even though neither loves the other in that way anymore and then he'll shut Nick out out of fear of destroying him. Nick will never know what Vincent was going through, and he'll be left feeling sick for the rest of his life every time he remembers his old friend.

Content warnings: rape, bestiality, and that stupid fucking mod. (Oh, and swears, but if you follow me you knew that already.)
I love how all the subreddit complaints about That Mod now amount to variations on the theme of It Breaks Your Game, and not, you know, It Considers Rape a Feature, Not a Bug or even, It Enables Bestiality.
But you know, I don't totally mind the Crazy Lady label I've earned on that sub for speaking on it. I mind it in the sense that it's ableist, and I don't want other people repulsed by violent sexual assault to feel tarred by that brush, but otherwise? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Otherwise, I'm happy to lean into it, because it means I'm not a spineless little shit desperately trying to conflate kink (a-ok!) with abuse (not ok!), all in order to bust one more jaded nut without feeling quite as bad about what it now takes to get there.
As for the excuse that it's jUsT f0R sTorYTeLLiNg?
That's the sort of excuse all people who can't write for shit like to make for themselves.
People who can tell stories don't need to make their Sims Woohoo with the dog first for inspiration, jackass. And no matter how many lies you tell yourself, it will never be kink-shaming to call you out for your toxic bullshit.
Never.

no dear, we're not rewriting the ending. i'm sorry your tiny brain can't compute what's happening yet. You're gonna argue pedantics about shit you don't understand till you bottom out and go blue in the face again though, so go off.
genuinely funny when people with small smooth brains go AH HAH, SEE about some shit that isn't even the point oh my fucking god it's like toddlers
not sure why these motherfuckers think they can semantics-argue their way out of fucking REALITY. some genuinely deranged shit in that man's head.
The *point* is that dean wouldn't undo his life for the world, and isn't changing that part, as anyone who i've sent the ending knows fuckin nimrod jesus christ. but you think the world operates in a destiel-no destiel dichotomy and somehow think these fuckin things rule each other out. fucking hell CHILDREN, LITERAL FUCKING IDIOT DUMBFUCK CHILDREN THAT WANT TO KICK AND SCREAM AND YELL TILL THE WORLD DOES WHAT THEY WANT

Bade Aache Lagte Hai 3 | Episode 7| Sound of love
Tumblr media
Mr. Yash Malhotra, Alekha's dad, opens the episode. He thinks quite highly of Ram, rightfully so. Yash invites Ram for a speech.
Ram spoke about what love is in his experience and it lacked depth. The audience loved it though. At one point, he said love is when you look at them and suddenly everything is alright. I wonder if he loves the idea of love or if this is really his experience with Kriti.
Well, he could be describing love for his mother, friends sure. God have blessed Mr. Kapoor with both hands in that department. But here he was speaking about the romantic love.
Everything is fine with Kriti till it is going per her wishes. Mr. Kapoor have no say should he voice what he truly feels in this relationship. Red flag. This happened later in the episode. Kriti breaks it to Jaan she plans to marry by 40 or 50. Jaan have not forgotten the accident and what transpired after that but was cordial mostly. Jaan is totally capable of giving attitude if she doesn't like you in the first place. Ram gets it from her. When Ram showed his displeasure about this conversation Kriti left declaring she plans to stay with Ram not his mother. She is so out of tune with what his partner wants that she can't fathom why that conversation was not appropriate for their relationship. Red flag.
Ram also teased Mamaji a little in his speech. Mamaji had a love marriage, I guess.
Ram is made aware of the scene Ms. Jabalpur and Ritika managed to create outside. He narrowly missed Ms. Jabalpur monologue discrediting spineless Yuvraj but heard the part where she was requesting media to promote Ritika. Not a good first impression, I say.
Priya displays an array of emotions witnessing this horror. She is a private person. Disbelieve. Shocked. Anger. Embarrassed. Acceptance. She rushes to stop the other two ladies of the Sood house before the matter gets completely out of hand. She is outnumbered. She gets the handle of one the other breaks free.
Ram was in a conversation with Ms. Jabalpur, who was detailing him about spineless Yuvraj antics, when Priya was moving in his direction after successfully pulling Ritika out of the Kapoor mansion. Shardul was there only as a listener though. Ram has his back towards her. He recognizes the familiar voice and says dentist when he sees the face behind the familiar voice. Ms. Jabalpur addresses Ram as Mr. Kapoor. Two sets of ears were overhearing this conversation. Spineless Yuvraj and his current girl, Alekha.
The makers should pay little more attention to details. Ram witnessed Priya's break up and didn't recognize the voice then. Boo boo #2.
I have a hunch Priya will witness Ram's break up as well.
Their eyes met. Priya recognized him. They were both surprised. She must have figured by now her stranger is the idol of her cheating ex fiance.
Ram demands to know the truth. True to her character, she denied and left with the rest of Sood's. It must also be difficult for Priya to have a conversation when Ms. Jabalpur was leaving no stone unturned revealing details private to Priya.
Alekha asks Ram to get Priya's version of the story. Yes girl, listen to your gut.
Ram is already siding with Priya in this. When in doubt listen to your gut people.
Ram confirms with spineless Yuvraj to come clean if he is cheating on anyone. He lied. Again. Ram tells him that he will still investigate the matter for Alekha's sake.
Ram informs Shardul he plans to meet Priya to get her version of the story. Ram don't want Jaan to be aware of it just yet. Jaan stress levels are at high already. Ram blames himself for it.

MLB AU - Éliott Raphaël Thiers, the Bully's Bully
I kinda want Chloe Bourgeois to get bullied by someone like the Prime Minister of France's kid or something. That way, she can't use her dad against them because whether she likes it or not, the Prime Minister is a much bigger fish than both her father & herself & she hates it.
Imma call him Éliott Raphaël Thiers, descendant of one Adolphe Thiers.
What if the kid was a bully's bully & does everything the bully does to others, to them then ridicules them.
One of the most cutting moments between Éliott & Chloe is when he looks her dead in the eye & says that she is no better than anyone else. In fact, she was nothing special. That her behavior even makes her quite less than those around her. That he wouldn't trust her to shine his shoes, let alone be a hero. She's a spoiled little waiste of space & until she learns to not be a bitch & actually applies herself rather than make others do shit for her, she'll always be a useless daddy's girl who's only merit is that she's got a spineless, middling-at-best, rich politician for a father & a wretched, souless, rich harpy for a mother.
It's the most shocking thing she'd ever been told & the fact that it was someone so rich & famous forces her to not brush it off.
He also directly attacks Bustier's victim blaming, holier than thou bullshit. Uses studies to poke holes in all her arguments.
"Oh, I see! Good enough for thee, but not for me. What a horrible hypocrital woman."
Then, he goes to Mr. Damocles & lists all known instances of Chloe using her father's influence to break the rules. Every known moment where he utterly failed the students by not punishing the perpetrator.
Does not believe a single ounce of Lila's bs & criticizes both Bustier & his classmates for not even attempting to question the little con artist's words. Calls her a living stereotype that gives Italian residents a bad name.
President of the debate club at his old school, practices helstromism so that he knows when he's being lied to, can be very blunt, & sometimes says insensitive things without realizing it. Didn't used to understand what he said wrong until it was explained to him, but he's getting better about that. Will apologize if he doesn't think the recipient deserved it.
He's got aspergers, so he struggles with catching context cues & reading the room sometimes, but he's trying to overcome that.
At the same time, he despises bullies. Absolutely loathes them. I mean, he understands that bullies generally do what they do because they, themselves are or were bullied, but he doesn't think that's an excuse to lash out at others.
If he's ever punished for the things he says, he takes on the chin like a real man, but never apologizes for simply telling the truth.

I'm so fucking done with people
My classmates in my 7th period class are horrendous to be around, and today was proof of that. I'd like to tell you a story.
(Note: I used fake names for all of my classmates, for obvious reasons)
Today, we had to take a test. It was a small test, but still a test. As an autistic individual with hyperacusis, I always appreciated test time, because it was the only time where everyone in the room was quiet.
One of my classmates, whom I will call Jerry, gets finished right quick. Another classmate, whom I will call Andrea, gets pretty stuck, even though the test is quite easy. But what matters here is that Jerry starts talking loudly to the teacher, despite his repeated reprimands and telling him to shut his piehole until everyone is done. He takes the hint after awhile, however.
Eventually, Andrea gets done, followed by me, and then another student, whom I will call Rebecca. Rebecca is a quiet, intelligent bookworm who is easily the smartest person in my class. She often grounds Andrea and occasionally other classmates when they go off the rails.
The last ones to finish are Laura and Sandra. Laura is very active in the community and is thus very well known locally, but she's also incredibly rude and disrespectful. (Jerry is also like that sometimes, but I'll get to that later.) Sandra is...a massive bitch. Seriously. Really, the only other things I can say about her is that she's demanding, entitled, and a total hypocrite. I have nothing good to say about her. She hates Jerry over a petty grudge that was a blind man could see was her fault. (Jerry was just trying to be kind and get to know her, but she rudely blew him off every time.)
To clarify the "hypocrisy" of Sandra: She constantly gets annoyed when lessons progress too slowly, but she always spends her time sleeping in class or talking with Laura (who also sleeps in class a lot).
But, back to the topic at hand. Everyone is done with the test. Normally, I would put my headphones on (with permission, of course) and ride out the rest of the period with my tunes. But...I forgot my headphones. The clashing personalities of these classmates of mine in this class tends to cause some issues, and they would really ramp up today.
This is where Jerry's personality kicks in. You see, during notes, Jerry has a tendency to randomly interrupt the teacher with a completely irrelevant story, and then drag on that monologue for as long as possible to stall class. Furthermore, this teacher is one spineless son of a bitch, so he has never thought to give him a detention or any sort of punishment for this.
This leads to problems, especially with Sandra. She literally insults him to his face, and because the teacher is...well, spineless, nothing happens to her. Laura also joins in sometimes, but it's relatively rare.
On a normal day, Andrea and Rebecca talk amongst themselves, while Jerry annoys either the teacher or Sandra and Laura. But on rare occasions, Andrea, who is normally pretty quick to call out other people's bullshit if sufficiently provoked, will go at him. On one day where Sandra was being particularly bitchy, she yelled, "What is wrong with you? Why do you argue with everyone? Why do you get annoyed by every single thing that happens to you? Why do you go out of your way to be so utterly unlikeable? WHY?!"
Needless to say, Sandra was very quiet for the rest of the period.
Today was similar. But because I forgot my headphones, I would have to survive whatever explosive conflicts went down.
And indeed, Andrea and Jerry got into a pretty stupid argument that day. I don't even remember what it was about, all I know is that it was stupid.
But boy, they took it seriously. Rebecca was just observing and giving her thoughts on the issue; Sandra was trying her hardest to ignore it; and Laura had left for an extracurricular activity, so it was just us five, with Jerry and Andrea in a heated argument about nothing.
At one point, she shouts, "I can't make my point, because I'm arguing with an idiot who keeps interrupting me!" Indeed, Jerry had an annoying tendency to cut people off.
"Andrea, be polite." The teacher scolded.
"I'm trying to, but he's not being polite either! Have you paid attention to any of this at all?" She shouted.
"Andrea, it's not worth it." Rebecca tried to defuse the situation. "Just stop arguing with him. He won't listen to you."
And yet, she continued. Until she lost it.
In a rage, she yelled, "Why do you have to be such a jerk! Just shut up already!"
The teacher, who was pre-occupied with something else at the time, turned around with a shocked look on his face. "I give you guys free reign to visit with each other, and this is what happens," he said disappointedly. In a once-in-a-lifetime moment, he suddenly grew a spine.
"You two. Principal. Now." He said, pointing at Andrea and Jerry. I later found out that they had an after-school detention with the teacher as well.
I just don't get it. Why do people go out of their way to make a scene? To be unlikeable and annoying? Why do people do that? I can't imagine it. It makes no sense to me. One thing I do know, however, is that I was covering my ears the whole time, wishing I hadn't forgotten my headphones.
