Sewer take 2
I tried to make my photos creative by using props that were organically on the street. The newspaper was thrown in a perfect spot, including the Gatorade water bottle in the distance.
I personally don't think these sewer photos are unusual or extraordinary yet I have a lot to learn.

I had an assignment that required me to take photos of a sewer. I wanted to make the sewer look unique by pointing out the rust and the wear and tear of the metal. This assignment taught me how to direct the attention to a certain subject better, as well as to getting a more organized workflow on both Lightroom and Photoshop.

What I did to make this sewer look unique was the camera angle, and really focus on the wood chips that are on the sewer along with the wood chips that surround the sewer.

In my room I have this strange small chairs as decoration, but by using them in this photo I was able to create a whole little world. Each person when viewing this photo has their own thoughts or own stories behind how the chairs got there, why are they so small, and how the sewer no longer looks like a sewer.

For my photogrophy class at COD we took pictures of a sewer as an everyday ordinary object that would typically go unnoticed. I added pinecones and captured the fire hydrant in the picture to make it look extraordinary.

We had an assignment for my photography class, called the Sewer Assignment, to make an ordinary sewer look extraordinary. It was an everyday sewer that I had never payed that much attention to in my daily life. In my attempt to make it look extraordinary, I had to also make it look realistic. I discovered that while some ideas for a sewer photo may be very appealing, it’s not always realistic, such as placing a brightly colored flower directly in the middle. I also discovered how difficult it is to find multiple appealing angles for an object that can’t be moved. Although the picture may not appear to be that extraordinary, it is still different than other sewers when looking at the details. Those sunglasses are specifically mine, there’s a piece of trash next to it that isn’t next to any other sewer I’ve seen, and the placement of the dirt on the side of it is different.
