thoughts about illario and colorful birds? not falcons or other fancy "manly" birds you see with the upper classes for falconry and the like. I mean songbirds, parrots, cockatoos, birds like that! or honestly, as I wrote this I realized that maybe Illario had the sort of pets that could be considered "rare" on a nonspecific medieval-historical setting. Maybe corgies like Queen Charlotte (although timeline wise that period was later on? maybe? who knows with dragon age), or rarer animals that could be a "curiosity" and also demonstrate the Dellamorte's wealth and status but are not necessarily good companions, just good ways to show wealth.

i just really like the idea of illario with a songbird... yessss king put that pretty bird in a gilded cage that it can't escape and only knows how to perform!!!!!!!!!!!! do not read into this ever!!!!!!!!!

On my continued quest to catch up, I am now in episode 11, and because I am not normal and your blog is what made me want to actually finish TMA, I am, in fact, going back your tmagp tag chronologically per episode. Which we won’t be touching! What we will be touching is a little offhand detail which admittedly probably won’t mean nothing and has likely been revealed yet but! Beth Eyre as [error]! You mentioned that the name of the statement giver she had voiced was Lucia Wright and I just wanted to point out that the previous Magnus Head before Elias Bouchard (whose relative is now a big part of the show) is James Wright… right? Or did I misremember?

wait hang on so true actually. I've been operating on the assumption that lucia wright and [error] would be completely unrelated but oh that would be such a sly little writing move if they were the same person and lucia was connected to the institute through her brother or something.

8 - Do you have a favorite member of the Druid Circle? Is it the same as your Character's?

Halsin and Nettie were the only Druids from the grove that she liked. She helped the others too though, only because she thought they could help with the tadpole and because it might get them off the tieflings' backs. As for me, I was indifferent to most of them if I'm being honest. Maybe it was just the way I played that didn't show more depth to them, but aside from Kagha (who I thought was an interesting take on a druid), they didn't interest me.

9 - Do you have a favorite member of the Tiefling Refugees? Is it the same as your Character's?

Ry'on liked a lot of the tieflings she met and sympathized with them. She was partial to Alfira, Lia, Dammon, as well as Mol and her little gang. Even if Mol was eventually mad at her for killing Raphael. As for me, I liked literally all of them but that's just because I love tieflings lol.

18 - How did your Character deal with Wyll, Karlach and Mizora?

Ry'on helped Wyll see that Karlach wasn't evil and that he had been lied to. When it came to Wyll's contract, they ended it despite risking Duke Ravengard's life. Ry'on's reasoning was that most parents would want their child to be free from a fiend's grasp and eventually succeed them. Human lives are so comparatively short, after all. Luckily, they were able to find the Duke in time and he survived even without Mizora's help. With the pact broken, Wyll, Karlach and Ry'on all left for Avernus together in the end. Both to kill devils as well as find a fix for Karlach's heart.

So a while ago I saw orivode's post reminding us that in Greek mythology, everything is ultimately the gods faults

Which yeah, the gods play with mortals like little chess pieces

And at first I was like "yeah except the cyclops thing, that was Ody's fuck up"

But no, that was Athena's fault

In the beginning of my goodbye there's a part that goes "and I warned ya, and you failed the test"

She made sure they ran into polyphemus. Yeah, they might've run into him anyway, and yeah Ody DEFINITELY shouldn't have given him his name

But if Athena hadn't interfered because she didn't like Ody (who totally isn't her friend btw, jsyk, she def doesn't care about him beyond her own goals) wanting to be kinder, they might've been in and out with a few sheep with no problems

I've been thinking about that one for a while but it did recently give me Fun New Thoughts about god games (wisdom saga spoilers)

Disclaimer ig: I've only listened to the god games snippets so this is mostly based off those

So as others have said, having Aphrodite talk about Ody's mother means the musical acknowledges she's the goddess of all kinds of love, not just romantic love

Obvs Athena directly calls Telemachus her friend, and if I didn't make it clear enough above, despite what she said I think Athena does care about Ody (i think the whole "I'm not looking for a friend" part was her like, trying to keep up a Godly Reputation, or just being mean bc she was mad at him, or both), and it's her love for them that gets Aphrodite on her side

(also, Athena's "please reconsider this" sounds a lot like Ody's "please don't make me do this" to me)

Which brings me to the Fun New Thoughts about god games

Does Athena feel guilty for kicking off the whole train of tragedy? She's a god I'd actually believe would feel remorse. It certainly goes against the teachings she referred to in my goodbye, but we've already seen her flip on friendship.

Is this another case of Ody (and Polities, indirectly) (and probably Telemachus) influencing someone to take a chance on kindness, connection, etc., while he slides further away from those? Maybe the real tragedy was the friends he made along the way /hj

Yes, Boba Fett is awesome for so many reasons! Honourable, animal lover, respects different cultures and actively works to eliminate the drug trade on Tatooine. And, he’s a badass. We need more Boba Fett! 

How can anyone not absolutely love this man. I mean, look at this:

Loves animals. Beautiful smile. Has his priorities straight.

Dresses well and understands the importance of quality goods.

Assesses the situation before involving himself.

But will fuck up some Stormtroopers if the opportunity presents itself.

Did I mention he's an animal lover? Plus he appreciates any gift he receives, no matter how small.

Cody’s alarm went off at what could be considered an unholy hour of the night. It didn’t bother him though; in fact, he’d already been awake for nearly an hour with a nervous energy buzzing through his bones. 

He straightened his armor and back and began the walk through the camp to where the General would be for his watch shift. 

It wasn’t exactly customary that a High General (or a Marshal Commander, for that matter) would take regular watch shifts, but General Kenobi had insisted, so Cody added both of their names to the circulation. 

A part of his brain - that Cody swears is purely professional and comes from striving for efficiency and no other reason - longs for a chance to spend a watch shift with the General instead of one of them relieving the other. 

He physically shook the thought off, turning the last corner of the paths through the camp that would bring him face-to-face with his General.

“General Kenobi, sir,” Cody rapped out. “I’m here to relieve you from duty.”

“Hello, Commander,” Kenobi smiled. His expression was warm but tired. The light from the nearby campfire lit his auburn hair, causing it to nearly glow a gloriously vivid red. “You’re a sight for sore eyes.”

Cody didn’t think his body could feel more rigid when he was already at attention. “Sir?”

“At ease, Cody; you know better,” the General chuckled softly. “Thank you for taking my place; it’s been a long night.” 

Suddenly, Cody felt as though his shoulder was on fire, but not unpleasantly. He came to realize it was because the General was touching his shoulder. Time stood still in Cody’s mind. He longed for a way he could return the simple gesture. At the moment, however, the professional part of his brain was more fried than a B1 after a droid popper. 

“Commander, are you alright?” Kenobi’s voice brought him back to the present. 

“Yes, sir,” he blurted. “My apologies, sir.”

“That’s alright,” the General smiled. It was such a lovely smile. “I’ll be heading to my quarters should you need anything.”

“Thank you, sir.”

Rex: so he just touched your shoulder

Cody: Yes.

Rex: orivod really

Cody: It was for quite a long time.

Rex: how long

Cody: Is “not long enough” something I can say?

Rex: do you want me to get echo to read off the regs to you

Rex: because im sure hes more than willing 

Rex: and fives will think its funny

Cody: You can’t tell anyone about this, Rex. 

Rex: relax codes it was a joke

Cody: This is not funny!

Rex: wanna bet

Event: Touched my shoulder for an amount of time that could be perceived as being too long to be professional when I relieved him of his night watch

Rational explanation: General Kenobi was tired or distracted and didn’t realise what he was doing. Alternatively, I myself was distracted by the physical contact and the moment did not last as long as I believed it to

Irrational explanation: He wants to touch me because he’s attracted to me because he has feelings for me

Additional notes: The General’s hair is an especially vivid red when lit by firelight

important addition to the illario cat thing: he gets to sit in a medieval swivel chair with the cat (who is black because black is always in fashion or orange because orange is the new black) sitting on his lap as he pets him evilly and slowly turns the chair around as the other talon's complain to lucanis about him, letting them all know that he has been there the entire time and knows who said what. also i think Illario with a colorful venomous snake would be funny because yes that would fit well with Viago too, but Illario is literally the one that kills people by tricking them with his shiny exterior before getting close enough

I had a thought. For the record, I only know about military personnel from movies.

Working with the clones, and in your free time making them ALL those little identification tags indicating their birth squad and date of birth, choosed name, and more.

Because I'm sure because war zones they often leave the bodies there unless they can use their parts for other clones or secure the area, and—I went into dark territory, sorry— And of course, you always want something back from your loved ones and let them know that they are not just one more, they are unique and will be remembered.

And all your clones, like, This tiny little beautiful soul, I'm keeping it. Also, Orivod Alpha-17 Commander, I'm not sure if I've been proposed to or not... Stay in line/back, soldier.
