#notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article

Cavendish Beach wins national award for best country music festival
CHARLOTTETOWN -- For the second year in a row, an event in small-town P.E.I. has won a national award for staging Canada's best country music festival.
The Canadian Country Music Association has chosen the Cavendish Beach Music Festival as 2019's best country festival, fair or exhibition, over a number of well-known events including the Calgary Stampede.
Other nominees for the prize were the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alta., the Boots And Hearts Music Festival in Oro-Medonte, Ont., and the Havelock Country Jamboree in Havelock, Ont.
The annual award is voted on by members of the country music industry from across Canada.
Festival organizers in Cavendish say 75 per cent of those who attended this year's event in July came from outside the province.
They say the event generated about $10 million in visitor spending and $1.2 million in wages.
"It's not a small feat to be recognized by industry as the country festival of the year with so many amazing events happening around our country," said Jeff Squires, CEO of Whitecap Entertainment, the organization behind the festival.

Here’s What’s Happening in Tucson this Weekend.
Fri 9/29 - Sun 10/1
Happy Friday Everyone! Can we agree that the weather has been getting progressively better for a few weeks now?  You know what that means…an increase in phone calls and emails from friends in other parts of the country who are just ‘kicking around an idea of doing a little travel’.  Thankfully you have a spare bedroom or a murphy bed somewhere in your house right?  Extend your open invitations and then get outside this weekend and enjoy.
Start at the Eat Drink & Be Giving event at St. Phillips tonight.  The highlight will be the grape stomp!   Take in a show at PCC!  This weekend is The Astronaut Farmworker.  Shakespeare is still playing at the Himmel Park Amphitheater.  And for those who enjoy opera, Engelbinck’s Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel is being performed this weekend at Arizona.
Tumblr media
Do you get nostalgic whenever the word Woodstock is mentioned?  Is it one of your biggest regrets that you missed out on having that experience?  Get a small taste of what it might have been like this weekend at the Oro Valley Music Festival.  This 2 day event (Sat & Sun) offers a more intimate setting on a gorgeous golf course with shuttle service to the seating area, food court, drinks and ATMS on site!  Hey, we all dig peace and love, but who wants to camp out in the rain, bathe in the mud puddles and deal with no bathroom facilities?  A golf course and shuttle service would suit most of us just fine!  Rock on!
Tumblr media
For a completely different festival experience, Meet The Beatles!  No not the John, Paul, George & Ringo we love.  Instead check out the beetles, scorpions, wasps and other insects who are the stars of the 2017 Insect Festival at the UofA this Sunday.  Food vendors will be present and I’ll bet there’s going to be some interesting entrees offered!
Tumblr media
Weekend sports are everywhere of course so golfers, baseball & football lovers, tennis fans, etc. will have plenty to do or watch.  For the rest of you sports fans, get your elbows in shape at the 31st Annual Great Tucson Beer Festival this Sunday!  Be careful not to strain yourself if you’re not in shape.  Like a little atmosphere with your beer?  Oktoberfest 2017 continues this weekend on Mt. Lemmon. Prost!
Whatever your plans, enjoy our wonderful weather and don’t forget your sunscreen.  If you’re near Central this weekend stop in and say hi during our Open House Sat and Sun at 1918 N Catalina Ave!  As always, don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of help to you or someone you know!

Shawn Austin‘s career in country music has already had some great moments and early successes, and now he looks to continue that pattern with the release of his latest single, What Do I Know, and its new lyric video.
We caught up with the BC singer in Toronto to talk about his busy summer festival season, his outlook and ambitions for his music and career, and what the plan looks like moving forward. While we had him with us, we also played a Festival Season edition of 5 Quick Questions that we have for you further down in this post.
What Do I Know was released on April 12, 2019, and was a great choice for a new song to give to fans and country radio. In the two months since it dropped, Austin’s fans and country lovers have already listened almost 400,000 times on Spotify and YouTube. And now fans have a new opportunity to dig in again with the official lyric video.
youtube
We talked to Shawn about the new song and more new music on the way (it’s coming. Be ready for new singles and a collection coming in the form of an EP or album) and he told us that he’s excited to have it ready to follow-up his debut release. While we talked, we also got to the point of chart success and ambitions. Shawn was very modest in telling us (not for the first time) that he still can’t believe that his debut single, Paradise Found went Top 10. And as we talked about songs going that high, or higher, getting all the way to number one, he told us his goal. Shawn Austin was honest was he told us that getting to the top of the charts would be a thrill and something he’d love to do. But, the more important goal for him is consistency.
The Steelhead Music artist would love to pepper the Top 10 on the country music charts. He sees the importance and validation of doing that over and over again. And he knows that it can act as some gauge on the reception and quality of the songs he’s releasing throughout his career, not just a single track that catches the buzz. Getting to the top is on the mind of every artist, but a long, successful career with songs that fans love is a great goal to have.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
As we chatted, we got to the upcoming summer festival season, which will be the busiest of Shawn’s young career. With no fewer than nine festivals lineup up (and the possibility of more being added to his schedule), he knows that he’s going to be busy. And he loves it. Austin knows that the opportunity to cross the country (he’ll go from PEI to BC, with many stops in between) and play for crowds that love country music is going to be great. He also told us that he loves the way those fans embrace the festival format, investing in and giving a chance to new acts that they may not know, while also getting ready and hyped for the headliners.
We’ve got a list of Shawn Austin’s 2019 music festival dates at the bottom of the post. But before we get to that, hit play and check out our Festival Season edition of 5 Quick Questions. Find out who he’d line up for, who he’d want to do a surprise duet with, and who he’s looking forward to seeing this summer.
youtube
Thanks to Shawn for taking the time to hang out with us while he was in Toronto. Stay tuned for more from him, including his own festival preview and recommendations. And a little something special as we get closer to his wedding this summer!

Dehumidifier maintenance tips
A dehumidifier removes moisture to reduce mold growth, removes allergens and cut down odors. Some owners still experience the growth of mold, only because they don’t implement regular maintenance of the appliance.
Here are some tips that you can follow to ensure proper care of your humidifier:
Set the humidifier level at around 35% RH – Too high or too low range can either lead to waste energy or discomfort for both people and pets. You can use a hygrometer to check the humidity level.
Clean the water bucket regularly – Ensure to clean the water bucket every month to avoid the production of mold. A small amount of detergent powder and warm water can do the trick.

Most Beautiful People in the World"). Adicionalmente, realizó apariciones en producciones como Laverne & Shirley, We're All Devo, According to Jim, St. Elsewhere, E.T. and Friends (1983), en la cual volvió a interpretar a Connie Conehead, Steve Martin's Best Show Ever (1981), Amazing Stories, Friends, The Tick, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Histeria!, Wayside, Danny Phantom, CatDog, Sonic the Hedgehog, As Told By Ginger, Rugrats, 7th Heaven, The Flintstones, Avatar: The Last Airbender y Metalocalypse. En su época de The Velvet Underground (1964-70) escribió canciones especialmente reconocidas, como "Heroin", "Rock and Roll", "I'm Waiting for the Man" y "Sweet Jane".
