Let's do Ironwood first for the new ask game

1: sexuality headcanon

I headcanon Ironwood to be bisexual with a preference for men.

Ironqrow for life. They are just so great as a ship, with all the 'mutual pining, not actually unrequited they're just both idiots, bickering divored-couple-energy that still allows for the spark of new love, the matching color scheme they had in their first looks, the way they look at each other, the freaking hug! It's an amazing ship.

Ironwood and Winter. A lot of people ship them and I can see why, but even though I've long headcanoned them to be the same age, in my head they're just very close friends, close to brother and sister, which makes him accidentally want to favor Weiss and Whitley when he knows them. XD

Ironwood and Robyn. Blegh.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head

James uses the training facility at Atlas Academy sometimes and will indulge students that want to spar with him. He's always careful and takes things easy on them, and always lets them get in hits to build their self-confidence.

6: favorite line from this character

"You have two choices: Defend your kingdom and your school, or save yourselves. ...No one will fault you if you leave."

This line is so very James at his best, aggggh! Because it starts out professional and stern, not exactly harsh but more blunt, and then the students all give each other these worried anxious looks, and he softens so clearly in his tone and tells them no one is gonna think less of them, that it isn't their job or their duty or morally right to endanger themselves, and that if they make the choice to leave they can. These kids are seventeen, this might be one of the only times in the first seven seasons that anybody told these kids it's okay to prioritize their own lives.

7: one way in which I relate to this character

I am also kind of socially awkward! Ironwood with his tie adjusting and struggling in conversations and kind of stiff deliveries of things like 'it's good to see you again'... Me too, buddy, I also have no idea how to talk to people. XD

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character

The villain arc, ugh. What a terribly written final arc to have. It's always embarrassing to have to specify that I like Ironwood outside of his stupid badly done rushed villain arc that turned him into a boring two dimensional evil-laughing rando with a giant gun-gun using his two remaining braincells to do pointlessly evil things just to get at teenagers. Like??? Cringe.

9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?

Problematic fave. Even at IW's very best, he still was flawed in some fun ways, he could do the wrong thing, he could do the right thing but do it in a way that makes you go 'huh.' (Gonna be honest, although I love cinnamon rolls, they're not half as interesting as problematic faves.) XD Aaaand at Ironwood's worst, he was a pointlessly evil stuck up bastard trying to kill and torture people for very little reason, and not in a fun way.

Now for Qrow

1: sexuality headcanon

I headcanon Qrow as bisexual as well, and I also headcanon him as having only realized he was bisexual as a grown adult (partially because Qrow is one of my faves and I project onto my faves, and I only realized I was bi when I was a grown adult. XD)

2: otp

Ironqrow again. XD This ship is just so good that it's my number one fave for both characters.

3: brotp

Qrow and Ozpin. This is a ship that I could see myself enjoying, but what I enjoy even more is them as close friends, with Qrow looking to Oz for guidance and as an authority figure and then the roles reverse when Ozpin gets put into a teenage body and suddenly Qrow is the guide in charge.

4: notp

Funnily enough, this one is also Robyn. Qrow and Robyn started being a ship when she caused a fight and then partially due to her actions, the queercoded Clover was brutally murdered, and then Clover and Qrow spent an entire season doing next to nothing but talking to each other despite their relationship mattering less than any other relationship Qrow had that could've gotten developed, and Robyn compared her problems with her active truth-telling semblance to Qrow's "I hurt everyone around me" problems caused by the passive semblance that makes his life harder despite him not doing anything, and then she was like "don't be sad that your actions helped the Salem worshipper brutally murder your friend, he was probably secretly evil and bad and you're better than that despite the fact that I've known you for like a day." Like, their relationship is nothing but angering for me. XD

5: first headcanon that pops into my head

I have this headcanon that Qrow doesn't realize it, but his bad luck semblance tends to react to large emotions he has. He still absolutely can't control it, but when he's calm and casual and cool, his semblance affects him and the world around him a bit less, and when he's really angry or really sad or even really happy his semblance kicks up and sometimes does really big things like cause unexpected rainstorms and make the electricity in buildings go out and stuff like that.

6: favorite line from this character

Raven: "They were your family." Qrow: "You have a very skewed perception of that word." Maybe it's just because this line fits into my headcanons, but I love it because Qrow's past easily lends itself to him having been abused by the people in the Branwen Camp, and then acquired a found family in Team STRQ and Ozpin, and now he has Yang and Ruby and he was involved in picking up the pieces when Raven left and then again when Summer died, which was probably devastating for him. I also just like Qrow's quippy nature and I like that at least someone was calling out Raven on her BS.

7: one way in which I relate to this character

Despite the fact that I've projected onto Qrow, we actually don't have very many similarities. But I'd say that although it's not nearly to the point of Qrow's own issues, I also struggle with feeling like a burden to the people around me and too much of a mess to deal with. I like writing for Qrow partially because it's a good way to explore those feelings.

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character

"The size of the waitress's skirt length" Ulgh, gag me with a spoon. The at the time all male writers and one with a particularly bad past regarding misogyny on a show concepted by a guy who likes animating a seventeen year old woman character's boobs to bounce around to a jeering laughing cheering crowd... Yeah, no thanks. I much prefer writing my version of Qrow to flirt a lot but know where the line is and not do things like talk about how hot he finds miniskirts on service workers to his two underage nieces.

9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?

Problematic fave for sure. Even at his best, Qrow is a rough-around-the-ages spy with shady connections blindly following a leader and not seeing much wrong with getting kids involved who also picks fights with people and is drowning in his own emotional problems in ways that have negative effects on the people around him. But Qrow also (especially in the third and in the eighth season) like it or not also suffers from the problems of the writers, whether that's never giving a damn about inequality, objectifying service workers in a funny story to his underage nieces, seeming weak willed and hypocritical due to the writer's misuse or retconnings or making him go along with whatever Ruby says after Argus, or actively aiding a servant of Salem in volume seven and losing all his braincells in the process so the writers can force it to happen. Either way, Qrow is very problematic, in some fun and interesting ways and some not so fun ways.

1: sexuality headcanon

I'm extremely flexible on this as far as Jonathan goes. I think I pretty much always headcanon him as some flavor of queer; I think generally I lean toward bi and demi, but as I said I'm very flexible.

I used to be really into Jonathan/Nancy/Steve, and I still enjoy reading it a lot, but I'm less invested now mostly because it's been like 2 seasons since they've had any meaningful interaction. I like him and Argyle together, but I think I'd write that more as a FWB situation than an epic romance.

I don't think I really have any for him? Like, there are ships that I probably wouldn't read if they came across my path, but none that I've actually seen.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head

Jonathan is someone who will pack away all his dreams to stick around because he feels like he's needed. Will is going to eventually be the one to tell him to get the hell out and go live his own life instead of hovering around because he's afraid to leave Will alone. It's the worst fight they've ever had and Jonathan goes off with the shaky and horrible feeling that he might never talk to his little brother again.

He does some traveling, sends postcards home. It's about two weeks later when he finally gets the courage to call the house. His mom answers the phone, tells him she loves him, and then puts Will on despite both their protests. There's a minute of awkward silence, then apologies, and then they end up on the phone for two hours.

'Being a freak is the best, okay? I'm a freak.'

7: one way in which I relate to this character

Being a vaguely hostile wet cat of a person.

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character

Jonathan is just excruciatingly awkward a lot of the time in the first couple of seasons, which always make me cringe with sympathetic embarrassment.

Who would get into a fight to defend the other's honor? Who tends to the other's wounds? In most situations, Cady. Even before the disappearance Declan was fond of being unperceived and not causing friction, so he would be the tender of wounds. However if the honor-sullier is one of the people who are permitted to perceive him, he will get into an argument with them.

What reminds each of their partner? Aside from everything, especially when they're forced to be apart, Declan has a leather jacket that Cady gave him that he literally hasn't been able to wear since Cady disappeared because it reminds him of Cady too much. He also keeps a diary and whenever he writes a word similar to the less common words that appeared on their wedding invitations (which he voluntarily wrote by hand) he thinks of Cady. Cady always thinks of Declan when he encounters someone in a henley shirt, because that's most of what Declan wears, and also frequently when he encounters heart-shaped things, solely because of his silly old shirt with the heart-shaped titty window that Declan would put on by accident.

Who's more likely to convince the other to stay in bed come morning? Who's more likely to ask, and therefore win at convincing the other? Cady. Who ALWAYS wins when he asks? Declan.

Who's more likely to give the other a massage? Neither of them is very good at it, but Declan is more likely to attempt it.

Do they have any hobbies they share? Taking walks and hikes, doing the word puzzles in the newspaper (they're literally doing them at the same time and arguing about it), reading comic books (broadly defined), watching movies. Cady also has managed to get Declan into bikes (like actual bicycles, not hoverbikes) at least a little bit.

What are their vices? A couple that come to mind are: Declan is allergic to asking for help from pretty much anyone, but especially his mother-in-law (not for much of a reason besides "it's embarrassing"). Cady is perpetually determined to solve problems his own way (a similar vice, but not the same, because he's more than happy to involve other people in solving things his way).

Who is the lightweight that needs to be taken care of after a party? Historically, Cady wasn't quite a lightweight, but definitely more likely to drink more than he really should. Declan was also never that interested in parties where the main goals were drinking, dancing, and messing around, so he would almost definitely be the one doing the taking care of. Now Declan simply does not drink, so if Cady were around he would always be the lightweight.

What are their thoughts on pet names? Do they have any? Declan doesn't really care about them, so he doesn't bother. Cady is always trying out new ones but they usually don't stick, the main exception being "Mister Ruse".

Who is more likely to jump in an elevator? Who freaks out? Cady would jump in an elevator, but he learned as a kid that that makes the elevator stop, and when he tried it out as an adult he got stuck in one for three hours. But even if that didn't happen Declan wouldn't be happy about it.

Your OTP gets to pick out each other's outfits; what is each wearing? Cady is wearing his old browline glasses and a white ringer t-shirt under green shortalls with a lil frog patch poking out of the chest pocket. (Declan is dying it's so cute.) Declan is wearing a cream henley with all the buttons undone, tucked into the high-waisted button-fly jeans Declan got rid of after Cady disappeared, under the aforementioned black leather jacket. His hair is trimmed around his ears so you can see all his piercings, and he has on the same brown leather ankle boots he's been wearing for over a decade.

I also really like the idea of her Choosing to be a girl/woman after being reduced to an experiment for so long, whether that be her being a trans woman or a cis woman On Purpose

I do think she's a bit demisexual tho like she'll hang out with a girl for months maybe even years and then suddenly go oh. wait. this is a crush. and promptly freak out about it lol . I think robin is also a bit gender weird! definitely gets more gender nonconforming as time goes on, my baby butch <3

Pokemon SwSh GPL AU: Get to know ______

Guys, it’s time for my favourite pokemon ship. Prepare for loads of fluff. 

Get to Know Gloria x Hop (Postwickshipping/Hpyu): 

1: Who spends almost all their money on the other? I headcannon that Gloria really likes pokemon plushies, so Hop is always unconsciously checking the stuffed animal section of stores to see if there’s any she doesn’t have. Gloria tries really hard to get him books that pertain to his research, but she really has no clue what he studies aside from the fact that it’s legendary pokemon (Legendary Pokemon are his focus). 

2: Who sleeps in the other’s lap? Gloria! They are the cuddliest couple ever. There’s about a foot size difference between them, so she fits perfectly in his lap. (Hop is def the little spoon, tho). 

3: Who walks around the house half-naked and who yells at them to put on some clothes? TBH, they would both walk around the house half naked. They’re comfort first babies, so you know Gloria’s bra is coming off and Hop is discarding his work clothes the second their door is closed. I think it’s kind of a casual thing for them, though. They’ve known each other long enough that this kind of thing doesn’t bother them. 

4: Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway? Gloria has to drag Hop’s ass to bed pretty much every night. They’re both busy people, but we all know that Hop would lose track of time while working on his thesis. It is a fact that if Gloria doesn’t come to get him, he will fall asleep on his desk. 

5: Which one tries to make food for the other but burns it all by accident and which one tells them that it’s okay and makes them both cookies? They’re actually both pretty good cooks (Gloria’s mama owns a restaurant in Wedgehurst and Hop’s mom is obsessed with cooking), but I think Hop would probably be the one to burn all the food. The only reason why is because he has a harder time focusing solely on cooking instead of trying to multitask. Now, baking is a whole other story. They’re both terrible at it. 

6: Which one reads OTP prompts and says “Oh that’s us!” and which one goes “Eh, not really”? Gloria would be the one to read the prompts and Hop would be the denier (he secretly thinks it’s really cute whenever she does it). 

7: Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes? Gloria. 100% Gloria. She is constantly cold and has a passion for stealing Hop’s hoodies. He thinks its adorable because they’re always really big on her. 

8: Which one spends all day running errands and which one says “You remembered [thing], right?” Hop would be the errand runner and Gloria would make sure he remembered everything. It goes back to Hop’s mind being a million places at once and Gloria hyper focusing on one thing at a time. 

9: Which one drives the car and which one gives them directions? Hop would drive and Gloria would give directions for similar reasons to the question above. 

10: Which one does the posing while the other one draws? Hop doodles Gloria sometimes to keep his hands busy. It’s kind of an absent minded thing for him to do while reading an article/book. Once Sonia caught him doing it, and when I say she teases him relentlessly, I mean it. Hop absolutely does not let Gloria see these doodles (they’re very cutesy and he’d die of embarrassment). 

11: If they were about to rob a museum, which one does backflips through lasers and which one is strolling behind with a bag of chips? Hop would be the backflipper and Gloria would be the follower. Think back to their GPL season: Hop was blazing ahead at all times without a care in the world. Gloria is the slowest traveler in the world because she likes talking to everyone and visiting all the stores.  

12: Which one of your OTP overdoes it on the alcohol and which one makes the other stop drinking? Neither of them can hold their alcohol, but Hop at least has more body mass than Gloria. They’re a pair of lightweights and nothing you can say will convince me otherwise. (Let’s be real: Bede has to be the one to make sure they get home). 

14: Which one keeps accidentally using the other’s last name instead of their own? Gloria. I actually believe that Gloria would keep her last name even after she and Hop get married because it belongs to her mama (after the divorce, they both changed their last names to match her mama’s maiden name). Hop is also a proud Hoffman, so he wouldn’t use the name Park. However, everyone else will mix it up. Gloria gets called “Mrs. Hoffman” all the time if she’s arriving for restaurant reservations or something of the like. Newer reporters/young children call Hop “Mr. Park” because they just assume Park was his last name. 

15: Which one screams about the spider and which one brings the spider outside? Neither of them are scared of bug pokemon. 

16: Which one gives the other their jacket? HOP. I mentioned it earlier, but Gloria is always cold. Bede asks why he doesn’t just make Gloria bring her own jacket and Hop replies that he likes it when she wears his jacket (they’re freaking sappy).  

17: Who keeps getting threatened by the other’s overprotective older sibling? Pft. Leon? Please. By this point, he’s become the big brother of Gloria as well. The League members are a completely different story. They all like Hop, but since Gloria is one of their younger members and the biggest sweetheart, they’re a protective bunch (Especially Melony and Gordie). 

18: Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other? Gloria, but it didn’t go well. It was right before he was leaving to finish up high school studying abroad, and the timing wasn’t right (aka Hop turned her down because he hadn’t yet realised his feelings for her). Gloria tries her best to move on but never truly gets over him. Luckily, his feelings hit him like a bag of bricks to the stomach when they reunite a couple years later.  

19: How good would your OTP be at parenting? The best. They would definitely be the cool parents (I mean, come on. They’re the freaking heroes of Galar!). I think they’d also be super supportive of their child’s choices. 10/10. They’re made to be parents. (Hop would especially want to be a good dad. He’s initially nervous because he never knew his dad and thinks he might mess up, but Gloria reassures him that he’s doing a good job). 

20: Which one types with perfect grammar and which one types using numbers as letters? Hop would be Mr. Perfect Grammar. Gloria would use mostly good grammar, but her texts would be littered with emojis. 

21: Who gets attacked by a bully and who protects them? Hop is the more confrontational of the two. Gloria tends to believe that people are only mean to others if something bad is happening in their life, but Hop will jump from 0 to 100 if someone even looks at Gloria funny.  

22: Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun? Gloria likes Hop’s bad puns, so everyone else has to cringe in discomfort at the oblivious pair. 

23: Who comes home from work to see that the other one bought a puppy? Hop. Gloria likes catching pokemon and sending them on poke jobs, so there’s a new member to their family at least once a week. 

24: Which one gives the other a piggyback ride when they’re tired? Hop. He’s the only one she would show vulnerability to, and he makes sure not to make her feel ashamed of it. (also, Gloria absolutely could not carry Hop. He’s like, a foot taller than her).  

25: Which one competes in some sort of activity and which one does the overzealous cheering? Both! They’re very supportive of each other to help ease the other’s insecurities. Hop gets really invested in her pokemon matches and Gloria throws him a little celebration every time he finishes a project.  

26: Who takes a selfie when the other one falls asleep on their shoulder? Gloria. Since Hop never goes to sleep at night, it is very common for him to take 5 minute power naps without even realising it. Gloria definitely takes pictures when it happens as a reflex (They were long distance for the first 4 years of their relationship) because she wants to be able to look back at their memories together.  Like Gloria doesn’t know about Hop’s doodles of her, Hop doesn’t know about her phone album of him. 

27: Which one would give the other a makeover if they asked? Gloria? I think they both grow into their separate styles as the get older, but Gloria would push Hop to wear more colourful things. Sonia once told Hop that a man should never tell a woman what to wear because it’s rude. I don’t think Gloria would mind if he suggested something, but he is way too nervous to do it (Sonia scarred him).   

28: Which one owns a pet that the other is absolutely terrified of? Hop is very nervous around Urshifu and Calyrex. Urshifu because he’s terrifying, large, and very protective of Gloria. Calyrex because the pokemon will take over his body without warning to tell Gloria something.  

29: Which one holds the umbrella over both of them when it rains? Hop! If Gloria held it, Hop’s head would be in the umbrella. 

30: If your OTP went on vacation, where would they go and what would they do? Who would take the pictures? Oh my gosh, they’d go everywhere. I think that after Gloria steps down as champion, they travel to all the different regions for at least a couple of years. Gloria would be the one to take pictures and make a little scrapbook when they return home.

1) Who rocks the Ferris Wheel seat and who flips out and begs them to stop?

Okay so Jo insist that they go on every single ride at the fair. Partly because she's only ever been on a few before and partly because she absolutely loves it! So she drags Alex to the ferris wheel and he’s like great we can have a nice quiet ride to top and maybe I'll kiss her and we can watch the sunset or something. You know, the idealistic movie ferris wheel ride.

However, Jo takes him on the smaller two person, ferris wheel, not the big one and as soon as she gets on, she starts to rock it back and forth. So Alex suddenly freaks out. He grabs the bar white-knuckled and tells her to stop. Of course, Jo does because she's never seen Alex this frightened before and he explains that he's never actually been on a ferris wheel.

Jo apologizes for scaring him and then puts her arms around him and gently points to the horizon where the sun is settings so he doesn't look down. They watch the sky turn orange. When they get stuck on the top she leans in to kiss him and Alex gets his fairy tail ferris wheel ride. It becomes sort of a tradition between them and every year after that, they ride the ferris wheel together. However, next year it's a little more crowded as they have Luna in-between them, and Jo’s heavily pregnant.

15) Who likes writes the others name on their wrist?

Not on her wrist per se, but Jo definitely doodles ‘Alex Karev’ in her notebook and Mrs. Dr. Josephine Karev next to it. She does this long before, he's even thought of proposing like right after they get together. Alex for sure! If someone even looks at Jo the wrong way he will send them six feet under. I mean, we all saw the way that he ran out the door after Myers hit her and how protective he was when Paul was there. When he gets protective of her, he'll usually keep a a hand on her back or he’ll hold her hand. He just likes to keep her close and let her know that he's there for her.

However the opposite is also true for Jo in some unique cases. Like when the Ped’s Mom’s get a little too handsy with him. Jo will absolutely go up to him and make a show of kissing him, flaunitng her ring, and putting her hands on his chest before glaring at the moms to make sure that everybody knows that Alex Karev is her husband.

Oh Alex absolutely, so he's a couple years older than her. Jo likes to poke fun at him for being such an old man and it having a gray hair. Although he just argues that it's because both of his parents went gray early and ‘he works a really stressful job Jo, there's bound to be a few gray hairs!’ One day she finds him reading the tablet super zoomed in on the font and she's like okay, you need to get your eyes checked. So he goes to the eye doctor and he comes back with a a pair of reading glasses.

He tries them out that night when they're both reading in bed and Jo thinks it's absolutely the cutest thing! She snaps a picture of him before he can protest, although she promises it's for her eyes only. Then as she's going through the pictures she realize how sexy he looks in those glasses and pulls the book out of his hands and sits in his lap. I'm sure you can imagine how the rest of the night goes.

How do they react to each other’s nicknames/terms of endearment?

They aren't really a couple that uses endearments, most of the time. Ed turns firetruck red and starts making weird noises if Winry ever calls him something more stereotypically sweet like 'honey' or 'darling'. He generally thinks it's an act of war, but is too flustered to respond in kind, unless he's attempting to put on a show for some third party, at which point his pride kicks in. "S-sure, sw-s-sweetie..." he will shakily reply, trying his hardest not to cringe, and it's a huge failure but he'll think he got away with showing off how lovey-dovey they are.

If he ever mustered up the strength to call Winry such a nickname out of the blue, she'd also be highly embarrassed, but it has never happened and probably never will.

Their usual nicknames (gearhead, alchemy freak) are much more casual. The reactions range from flinging things about to, eventually, more of just rolling their eyes or in the softest moments, a fond smile.

Sorry this took a minute, but I love the ask!

1. Are they more "cute forehead kisses" or "hot making out" kind of couple? Maybe one prefers first option and the other one the second? How do they deal, in that case?

Shuya likes to give her cute little forehead kisses but of course Hirono is too cool for that kind of thing, at least in front of anyone. Like if he kisses her like that in front of either of their friend groups she acts disgusted and is like, "If you're gonna kiss me, do it right" and then she starts making out with him hard core. Shuya is always surprised by that but also always enjoys it.

But sometimes when they're alone he'll kiss her forehead and instead of starting a makeout session, she'll just scoff like she's annoyed, but then lean against him and kiss him along the jawline. Shuya always loves it and wishes she'd do it more.

2. If they wanted to shower their significant other with affection, how would they do that? Dinner in some fancy restaurant, gift, kisses and cuddles or an evening together on a couch with hot tea and very intimate talk?

If Shuya's looking to shower her in affection, you know he's going to write her a cheesy ass song. And she's going to listen to it and laugh her ass off. A part of her likes when he does this in front of other people (girls) because then she can flaunt that he's with her. But if he does it in front of Mitsuko, she hates it because Mitsuko always makes snide comments about him (Yoshimi thinks it's super cute though and wishes Yoji did stuff like that for her).

Hirono would definitely do it physically. Like, she feels like that's what's she's good at so that's what she goes with. But she also shows affection by taking him places that she thinks he'll like, like illegal rock shows and other sketchy places. She loves exposing him to knew stuff and loves the crazy adventures she takes him on.

3. Are they comfortable with showing each other affection in public? If one is and the other one not, how do they interact in public?

They're both comfortable with it! Like, it's a little different because Shuya's more comfortable with romantic affection whereas Hirono's more for physical affection but they strike a decent balance.

4. Do they have pet names? Do they like to embarrass each other in front of their friends/family/coworkers with some silly ones? Or do they keep it with basics, like "swertheart" or "honey"?

Hirono definitely calls him sweetheart in a sarcastic/condescending way when she's mad at him. She also calls him stuff like 'sexy', 'hot stuff', and 'guitar boy' normally. And she's not above calling him something that will embarrass him.

Shuya uses them in a more loving way, but he's pretty basic. Although I could see him coming up with something to call her for a song that's unique and then always using that, but I'm not sure what it would be. He doesn't usually try to embarrass her with them, but there are times where he would if they're fighting. He loves her, but sometimes he's gotta match her energy to earn her respect.

5. If one of them was away for longer time, like a week, how their significant other would greet them back?

Look man, Hirono missed her boytoy and she wants to makeout. But, also, maybe, under the surface, she also wants to just cuddle and talk. But she's gotta go through the motions first, okay?

Shuya also likes some kiss action, but he also wants to talk her ear off about whatever happened. So maybe they just talk in between making out?

6. How often do they say "I love you" to one another? On daily basics, leaving to work, with a kiss on a cheek and quick "love u, bye!" or it's more rare and more emotional?

Look, Hirono will admit she's in love when she's dead, okay? Love isn't real and people who believe in it is are stupid. Isn't it enough that she hangs around? Meanwhile, Shuya's throwing 'em out like confetti (by comparison, he's actually pretty normal about it). And when she doesn't say it back he just smiles and says stuff like, "Careful, or one day you'll slip up and say it back." And she flips him off, but he takes that as an I love you anyway.

7. Do they keep track of each other during the day? Asking how is that important meeting going and texting "I <3 u"? Or they just text each other grocery list and talk when they are both home?

They're both better with talking in person. Shuya loses his phone or forgets about it when he gets involved with other things all the time. So even though he tries to be a good boyfriend with his texting, it's pretty all over the place.

But that's okay because Hirono ignores it when she's doing something fun. So neither of them are super easy to get a hold of. Although sometimes Hirono's bitter when she ignores her phone all day and Shuya hasn't texted her. Like, how is she supposed to tease him about how much he missed her if he didn't text? And she's NOT saying she missed him!

8. How long into their relationship they are, when they say "I love you" for the first time? Who says that first? In what situation?

Shuya says it first, no question. It does take him a little bit but probably within a couple of months. It probably happens after they're doing something they shouldn't be doing and almost get caught, like they're at some underground rock show and cops show up and Hirono leads them out and they run. And once they're safe Shuya looks at her and tells her he loves her. Hirono freaks out about that though, because what the fuck, they're just having fun? Why did he have to go and make it a serious thing? Love isn't real and he needs to not try and pull that shit on her. Like, does he think he'll get more from her if he says that? Because he won't. It leads to a fight but they end up making up and Shuya basically says he doesn't need her to say it back but he needs to be able to say it. And that's how they operate for a long time. But eventually after they've been together for a long while, probably like months, maybe a year, she eventually lets it slip super casually, like, "I love your crazy ass." And she looks at him in a way that says 'yeah, I said it, don't make a thing about it.' And of course, Shuya does then make a thing about it because he can't read the room but he's just really happy, okay? After that she still doesn't say it much, but it appears occasionally.

9. Do they have some unusual ways of saying "I love you"? Squeezing hands, that they both know what means?

Anytime she calls him crazy it's code for 'I love you.' It takes him 90 years to understand that, but he eventually does. Then he starts saying it back to her and it becomes their thing.

10. How they show affection to the other one in everyday life? Do they cook dinner for each other? Or wash the dishes, even though it's not their turn, cause they know the other one hates it?

They just try to do things that makes the other happy. They spend time together. Hirono hangs out with his friends even though she doesn't like most of them and is only sort of mean to them. Shuya always reminds her of how smart she is and how she's better than she thinks.

9. What made them realize they were in love?

Ev is fast moving and perceives her own feelings very black and white, so she falls in love quick and doesn’t second guess it. As much as she wanted to think that Valerius was “an arsehole who happened to be hot”, it was clearly more like “my arsehole”. Valerius had his bad temper, it was not clear who he cared about but it clearly was not her, but Ev still couldn’t bring herself to dislike him - she wanted to know more about him, to see whether that frown would smooth with a touch, which was completely illogical and therefore could only mean one thing.

Valerius is a more complicated story. He was noticing lots of things, but managed to find other explanations for them fairly well until he noticed that he cared about Ev’s feelings: that smile covered by the palm of her hand was oddly satisfying and it oddly hurt when she suddenly turned quite and her eyes were loosing focus. Not like he had never come up with the ridiculous explanations for what was happening between them before, but it reached the point when it would be too ridiculous. Even Valerius can join the dots, give in and be honest with himself sometimes.

11. Do they get married? Who proposes and how?

Hell yes.

I actually have not thought much about the proposal before, so consider this concept:

Even if Valerius is the first one to confess some kind of feelings, Ev is the first one to say “I love you” and there is considerable time gap between the two. When she tells it to him, Valerius freaks out and does not respond on the spot. He has to process what that meant and the implications of it. With the thought process comes the realisation that there was nothing stopping him from saying it back, he messed up. Thinking of Ev probably being angry or upset or most likely both, he had to think carefully about the next thing to do - and having thought through all the implications and being traditional, he decides to propose. Risky but felt like a right thing to do for him and would explain the delay.

He arranges a trip to his vineyard (of course Valerius owns a vineyard or two, even if it’s not part of the family estate, the tax payers’ money had to go somewhere). He waits till the day is coming to it’s end, he knows that Ev will comment on how lovely it is there, especially if they enjoy the view from the terrace. And this is he clears his throat and manages something like “would you like to share it all with me?”, hoping that the blushy face and golden hour would do the rest and add the context. It didn’t. He kind of suspected that it might not be that easy. He sighs but gets down on one knee and pulls the ring out. Luckily, he knew what to say and even better that it didn’t come to the poetry citation.

Ev is terribly embarrassed of her tears and ‘yes’ that came out too quick, it would be more reasonable if she took time to think about it. That pleased Valerius’s ego big time though, even 10 seconds of fearing rejection would be painful.

The gemstone in ring is red “for all the wine spilled”, he would later tell her.

Tbh? Germany. He isn’t really good with showing affection with his words and prefers buying Hungary gifts or taking her out on dates or just touring different places even. Everything he buys is probably personal and of great material. He just wants her to know she is loved.

No one actually, both of them are pretty chill when it comes to that and none of them really run around naked, I mean Germany would be flustered and Hungary would just enjoy the view, why would she not?

Hungary and Germany respectively. She usually advices him not to overwork himself and is concerned about him, would probably stay up with him and bring him something to eat or drink, just to relax the overworked man enough to ease his nerves. Germany ends up apologizing but she understands and drags him to bed after his work is done.

5: Which one tries to make food for the other but burns it all by accident and which one tells them that it’s okay and makes them both cookies?

Both of them are actually good at cooking although Germany is better at baking, he probably messes up before a date because he’s nervous.

6: Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes?

Hungary. Germany’s clothes are very comfortable to her and it always swells the man’s chest with adoration whenever she wear it, they both have similar fashion taste and it often suits them. Also she looks hot.

It’s pretty much Germany and he definitely has an extensive lost of what to bring but he can pretty much forget something which means a grumpy Hungary. If he’s busy (which is often) then it’s Hungary who does it and Germany often asks if she forgot anything.

8. Which one drives the car and which one gives directions?

I would like to confirm that Germany is a simp and a gentleman so he definitely asks to drop her off or drive her somewhere if he has the time, either its a meeting or anything. Hungary mostly goes along with it and gives him directions, which can be complicated. Other times she will let him tag along while she drives and they both just chat or drive in excessive speeds for fun.

11: If they were about to rob a museum, which one does backflips through lasers and which one is strolling behind with a bag of chips?

I like to think it would be Hungary doing the backflips since she is agile and narrow while Germany is more on the broader side, he waits behind the steering wheel, doing the hacking or is on the lookout.

Hungary and Prussia would probably do all the stealth work, while Germany hacks the cameras and Ukraine is there to support them, she also can drive crazily when needed so theres that.

12: Which one of your OTP overdoes it on the alcohol and which one makes the other stop drinking?

Hungary, she can hold her drink when its needed of course, but sometimes she goes overboard when trauma gets too much for her. She also gets cranky and easily irritated while drunk, Germany usually either drinks with her and picks her up over his shoulder if she’s really out of it. But if he’s drunk too then he will let her be and enjoy her beating the shit out of someone, giggling like a kid. Although if Germany does drink too much then it’s kinda easy to handle him since he’s basically Feliciano when drunk. Hungary probably sweet talks him or just knocks him out to make him stop drinking.

13: Which one likes to surprise the other with a lot of small random gifts?

Hungary, it can be something random and Germany would still find it endearing, like surprising him with a new puppy or simply something she made by herself, it’s worth to see him smile. Germany kinda goes overboard with gifts.

In human au, I like to think its Germany who does that, he’s an awkward teenager so give him a break please. It’s usually daydreams tho.

Germany uwu, he fusses a lot over her when it’s cold and she isn’t wearing a jacket, lending her his own, he just likes seeing her wear it too, it’s adorable.

Germany lol. Not exactly a sibling but Poland is close to Hungary and she has had much drama in the past, so he just warns him not to mess up.

Prussia probably just questions Hungary about her motives but backs off eventually, he is naturally overprotective over Germany so he can be intense. I feel like he would be alright with it since he trusts her. Somewhat. Pretty much spies on them too.

18: Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other?

Its kinda a slow buildup but Hungary gives hints of it first, she is kinda prideful and Germany is oblivious, so it takes time for them to realize their feelings and come to terms with it. Germany starts being more interested in her and vice versa, they both start to become close. It’s when Hungary kisses him that he realizes they are in love.

Or Germany asks her on a date first (probably Italy’s advice) and they mutually agree to try out on a relationship.

19: How good would your OTP be at parenting?

Hungary is pretty good at it since she took care of Italy when he was younger, but she isn’t much interested in having a child. While Germany is probably freaking out but always wanted to be a father. Overall they are good parents, Germany just needs to chill and be more experienced also less intense (probs asks Gilbert or Katyusha for advice), Hungary is fine with having children and is the friend parent. They both don’t have fixed parental roles and switch up, both can be overprotective tho and scary when their child is harmed.

20: Which one types with perfect grammar and which one types using numbers as letters?

Hungary doesn’t give a damn and types however she’s feeling like while Germany on the other hand is well you know, Germany. Also Prussia would be pretty strict with him using correct grammar too so there’s that. I mean give the dude a break, he’s trying to be cool for her but fails. (She still find him cute anyways)

21. Who is more inclined to be jealous or possessive?

Germany is on the jealousy side, it’s probably because he is insecure about being a good partner for Hungary and is pretty wary around people he is jealous of. Also he is aware that they have more lengthy history with her than him which makes him suspicious of others’ motives.

Hungary is more possessive, I mean she had quite many breakups in the past, so she pretty much doesn’t like it when other’s flirt with him or try to get too close to him. Also more protective towards him since she is aware he can be oblivious when it comes to other’s intentions.

22. Do they ever go swimming together?

Definitely, they both are athletic and a sporty couple, doing many activities together which involves action and the outdoors. Hungary loves watching him play football, watching him get all worked up, while he likes watching her swim. Like a lot. Especially when she comes out of the water all drenched. 🤧
