Percy, despite being an incredibly smart man, can sometimes be a very stupid one. Which of course, often gets him made fun of by his friends. Unless it's serious enough to warrant concern. In which case, they'll make fun of him after.

On this occasion, Percy is in the hospital, sitting up in his bed, holding Cassandra's hand. Despite the fact that his injuries are mostly superficial, she always worries when he's injured.

The door to the room bursts open and Vex rushes in, "What's going on? I cam as soon as I heard."

Percy sighs and looks at Cassandra accusatorily, "You didn't have to tell her."

Cassandra gives him an incredulous look, "You're in the hospital, Percival, and she is your girlfriend."

"You should listen to your sister, darling," Vex says as she sits down on the edge of the bed. "What happened?"

Percy sighs. The only two people in the world he can't lie to wait expectantly. Percy mutters, "Ran out of bolts for my project so I undid a bolt on the shelf and...dropped hundreds of pounds of metal on my head. Got a concussion."

Vex presses her lips together to stop from laughing, Cassandra doesn't do her brother that favor and bursts out loudly. Percy glares at his little sister.

Vex just takes Percy's hand, "Darling, I adore you. Did it even cross your mind to take the metal off of the shelf?"

Percy huffs, "I...was very engrossed in my work."

Vex can't stop herself from giggling as she leans forward and kisses the side of his head, "You are never going to hear the end of this from Grog and Vax."

"They don't have to know."

Cassandra laughs and holds up her phone, "They already do."

"You fucking traitor-" Percy snaps and Cassandra, only making her laugh more.

Vex shakes her head fondly, "Darling, if she hadn't, I would have." Now she is the recipient of Percy's glare. But of course she knows well how to deal with that. All it takes is a soft touch to his cheek for him to sigh and lean into her touch.

Percy leans back in his hospital bed, "They're making me stay over night. Cassandra, you are going to get me real food so I don't have to eat this hospital garbage."

Cassandra rolls her eyes, "Fine."

Vex smiles and squeezes Percy's hand, "I'm going to start making you wear a helmet in your workshop."

And because Percy is full of painkillers and looking at a woman he loves very much, all he says is, "Yes, dear."

Her kindness and patience? Like. Allura's been through it. She fought Thordak the first time around. She lost half her party doing so. She was there for the attack on the Sovereign and his weird behaviour after and these new weirdos showing up and getting involved and revealing there's another fucking dragon and also demons in the Cloudtop-

And she's still so kind. She's patient with them, helps them. Even during the Briarwood Arc, she extends them trust, going to them to ask why Tiberius murdered someone fleeing them. She's been through so much and she still chooses kindness. It's really good.

least favorite thing about them

It's not really about her but there's a mix up in how she's described. At one point she's described as being part-elven and another human, and the general way of it is she's shown as human.

Now that's fine, more human characters, fantastic but.

We already have lifespan angst with Vax (championified), Percy (human, traumatised, tortured), Vex (will outlive all her kids as well as her husband), Grog (will be outlived by Scanlan and Pike by a considerable amount) and Keyleth (will outlive them ALL)

And I would like one case with perhaps a bit less lifespan angst, pretty please?

So for this reason I like to consider Allura quarter-elven, or variant human for sake of stats, where what she gets from it is all the good aging genes, so Kima doesn't have to grow old without her lovely wife.

I can't remember what she says specifically but during the whole "You let HIM have WISH?" thing with Scanlan during the Search for Grog, where she was more like "why do you think I let them do anything?" to Vord, that was quite funny.

random headcanon

Various of Allura's knickknacks in her tower are actually gifts and mementoes from the late members of her old adventuring party. It's why her tower has such a thorough security mechanism in shrinking down into a pearl - so those mementoes are protected from destruction alongside the tower.

unpopular opinion

Probably what I said above in the NOTP part - I do think Allura/Tiberius could have been interesting if Orion had improved himself and shown willing to let Tiberius be flawed and grow himself. But then, most opinions that aren't full on NOPE about Tiberius tend to be unpopular.

"They were so cruel with this opening and I love it.

Am I a bit peeved over the family tree rewrite? A little, I admit.

Cassandra should be younger than the twins and we're missing both Vesper and Ludwig.

Also Percy being too depressed to appreciate Vex looking like that is not as funny as the memes about it are, but is it still pretty funny.

Keyleth being her usual Disney Princess self is lovely! But her reaction to Vax's greeting is annoying, he has food in his mouth Keyleth, what did you expect? Vax singing good morning? Come on, girl, give him a break lmao.

Then Grog ruining Vax's day before he even has breakfast is such a brother thing to do. A+ sibling representation there.

Then Allura!! The door!! Vax getting revenge!! Scanlan flirting with Pike!! This scene is so good, poor Percy trying to save face with an unimpressed Allura always cracks me up.

Then the dinner!

There's a slight animation error that has Vax looking a little depry when they first arrive, but the curtsey more than makes up for it - also, he looks so pretty!

("No thoughts, just pretty boy" is the biggest mood of the season.)

Also petition for Vax to have a ponytail in season 3 if we don't get the beads and braids. So much nicer than whatever he has going on normally.

Also everyone looks great here, Vex especially so. Hooo boy. Her and Percy having matching necklaces and chokers is so cute, I fucking love them.

Also the tension when Delilah finally addresses Percy, everyone panicking - thankfully Vex is there, they'd be lost without her sometimes.

Syals saying "Charmed" like that, though, and right after charming Uriel? Perfect. Beautiful. Amazing.

The beads joke is a bit… eh.

When Delilah tells her little story in a passive aggressive attack on Percy? Percy's reaction?

The Briarwoods feigning offence as they leave? They know.

I bet Delilah's things had some sort-of alarm spell on them.

There's another animation error in this scene - as the scene opens we see a servant giving Sylas dessert, but as the Briarwoods leave he has his dinner in front of him again.

(Not mad about this! Genuinely find it really funny.)

Then of course, Vax having his attention stolen by the fire - he had plenty of time, surely.

Then we see the Briarwoods' walking past the mirror to their room and Syals has no reflection while Delilah does? Finally confirming that Delilah wasn't a Vampire while Sylas is one? Because that did confuse people during the campaign. Love it.

And the confrontation! Vax panic-flirting! Then, foolishly, running into the couple instead of to the side and away???

That fucking staredown???

Percy telling the others about what happened to his family, the group rushing to help Vax.

Sylas caressing Vax's face and talking about him being curious while Delilah watches from the bed, the vibes suggesting so many different possibilities???

There’s a German song called Wenn du mich lässt (If you let me) by LEA which reminds me of Nigel and Thomas. It's a song about promising to love someone no matter what, and the line “for me, your chaos is art” is something I could see Nigel saying to Thomas about his poetry. There's also the first line of the chorus - "I will love you even if you can't love yourself right now" which I think fits them quite well given Thomas's whole theme of dying alone and unloved and them both probably struggling with the way they look (wound/plague sores).

The Best Lay Ever for the ask game

How I feel about this character: she HAS A NAME and it's Marion Lavorre and she's wonderful and I love her.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: obviously the Gentleman. I need to stress that like, if you want to be disappointed by canon relationships CR is a bad choice. I am already boring and it rewards this boringness.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: no single one but I do think she is extremely close with Bluud and Carlos despite them technically being employees; I also think she and Yeza remain very close friends (and she becomes close with Veth now that the Brenattos live in Nicodranas).

My unpopular opinion about this character: None in particular? People seem to like her, and they should.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Not a case of what would happen but I'm really going to need to know what past experiences led her to say this:

"If there's one thing I've come to know, the good people are easy to be misled to think they're at fault for the things that bad people used to victimize them. It's how they stay in power. my cross over ship: Marion Lavorre also would do numbers (along with Vex) in the Vorkosigan saga books what with intergalactic politics, and the great news is that they basically have genetically modified humans who are pretty close to tieflings.

a headcanon fact: I do think she has bard levels. If she doesn't, she should. Not many, and I don't even know if she's super aware that she has them, but like, a couple.

002 | Beau / Jester

When I started shipping them: I actually never did. This is one of those pairings that fanon/fandom kind of ruined for me before I could get into it.

My thoughts: I like the concept of them, but again, like I said above. A lot of louder fandom opinions about them turned me off to them.

What makes me happy about them: I love how much they love each other and support each other. Roommates era is top notch. Their hug after the first dragon fight was very good.

What makes me sad about them: Tbh the (mostly) unrequited feelings in this pairing was very good and very angsty and it was sad.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I don't read a ton of CR fic, but in general, I will say that fic that continues to infantilize Jester is an instant close.

Things I look for in fanfic: n/a

My wishlist: In general, and I'm talking canon, I know they talk all the time because Jester has sending, so I feel pretty good about that. My hope is that they get to retire near each other one day. And I know they still go on adventures together once in a while.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I'm very happy with their canon pairings.

My happily ever after for them: As a ship? It's hard for me to picture a happily ever after better than what they got. BUT. I think that I could see them both as pirates on Fjord's ship. I know Jester would be all about helping Beau root out corruption, but she's too much of a wanderer and loves the ocean too much to keep herself inland for too long.

OTP SWAP AU: THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL!!!!!!

We begin with a dream as Rhian meets princess after princess because of course he is. We continue until one more shows up, one more beautiful than the rest and asking for Rhian specifically.

Well, too bad he can't say anything to her to kiss her because a hammer wakes him up, one from his parents as they board up his windows because like hell they're letting their son be taken away, even if Rhian doesn't fill their baskets like Radley does.

Rhian ignores them and gets ready, taking an hour on his hair and doing a quick workout and sharpening his sword before leaving to see his best friend in the whole village who lives near a graveyard and owns a very protective wolf named Bold who nearly attacks Rhian for trespassing. Thankfully, his friend stops the wolf with a wave of the hand, stilling it and having it stand down.

Surprise!! It's TEDROS, who is something of a witch/outcast because he doesn't do his hair, wears black, and just isn't happy to be around people. Too bad, because Rhian wants to go exploring.

While out and about, like before, the town preps for the schoolmaster, children getting dirtied up, even Radley, to Rhian's joy, and everyone boarding up their homes. Tedros hates seeing it because he knows for a fact kids are just getting lost in the woods and people are too big of cowards to do anything, specifically shouting so everyone hears.

It makes Rhian much happier because that means they're going to the School for Good and Evil together, though Tedros is upset that all he is to Rhian is a good deed. Rhian convinces him it isn't, though, and that the two are good friends. Back in their homes, Rhian packs his own stuff for the SGE while Tedros is having his bags put together for him by his mother Callis (yes, I'm giving them the original canon parents for Sophie and Agatha, I'm sorry🙏) and despairs at being the only sane one in town, and for not wanting to be a villain or separated from his family and only friend. Callis, seeing his distress, comforts him, apologizing and admitting she only wants him to live an extraordinary life because of all he does for her.

They go to bed and Tedros lies in bed, Bold curled up with him, and notices something strange lurking outside his window: a shadow, and it heads for Rhian next, though Tedros beats it and the two run, Rhian pissed at losing his chance.

Or so they think because they're whisked away and taken to the School for Good and Evil, Rhian reveling at the fact that he will 100% be a prince and kiss a princess and be the salt of the Earth.

Too bad Tedros is dropped in the School for Good.

Rhian is more than upset to be dropped in the School for Evil's moat and meets a girl that asks to touch his hair because he looks like a prince; she's not bad looking at all, just a bad attitude.

Back on track, Rhian leaves the moat and is swept into the halls of Evil, seeing more students and trying to get it across that he isn't a villain and in the wrong school. No one listens and he gets his schedule and uniform, a disgusting black uniform that is nothing sort of rags.

With Tedros, he meets a number of boys who sprout from the ground, all chattering about a Flower Ground before they spot him and ask if he's lost. He is not, just confused and wants to go home. Not a chance because they swarm him, deadly close to attacking, but Tedros jumps first, swining a mean punch at one and knocking him out and sprinting into the school, where he gets hus schedule and uniform, a flashy blue prince-y get-up that hurts his eyes.

They try ecsaping to see each other and fail, Rhain getting hog-tied and taken to his dorm, where he meets his roommates Ravan, Vex, and Hort, Hort being the friendliest as he basically welcomes Rhian with open arms. Rhian pleads his case that he is not a villain and belongs in good, but Ravan and Vex decide to let science do the talking and dangle him over the window ledge; the fairies will save him if he's good. Rhian shouts that he goes to church, feds the homeless, made friends with a witch, gives good advice, is good with a sword, and, the nail in the coffin, looks absolutely stunning, unlike the others, in his eyes.

It's proof enough for them that he's evil.

In the opening ceremony/assembly, we meet our teachers and students, but Rhian and Tedros find each other and have opposing gials at the moment: Rhain wants Tedros's uniform and Tedros wants out of this hellhole.

Too bad because the Ever girls get Rhian's eye, all happily tossing handkerchiefs to the Ever boys before one more struts her way in with boots on her feet as opposed to heels, silencing everyone as they see her black hair flowing behind her, her gown beautiful, but practical as she also wears a sword on her hip.

Agatha of Camelot has entered the game and is absolutely badass as she takes on about 8 or 10 Everboys who she asks for a challenge. She does patch them up and congratulate them for a good fight and spots Tedros and Rhian, who is head over heels and wants himself a princess, even though Tedros gets a rose she wore in her hair.

Chaddick is also interested, which riles up Rhian like no one's business. After the welcoming, Tedros finds his way to Rhian in the school for Evil, where he knows he belongs, but when the two do switch, Rhian happy to take his friend's place and win Agatha's heart before Chaddick can steal it, and calling Tedros a dimwit for thinking he wants Rhian to go back to Gavaldon where there's nothing for him.

Turns out karma bites back because they're given their uniforns back and returned to their appropriate schools, right in time for class

for m/f pairings, i really like edwinry (fmab), percabeth (pjo), everlark (tgh), rayllum (tdp), kanej & helnik (grishaverse), percy x vex (vox machina), gendrya (asioaf), and ichiruki (bleach).

WHAT’S YOUR OTP FOR YOUR MUSE? I don’t really have one. I like the idea of Astrid & Arnbjorn and I would love to explore their dynamic a little more with an Arnbjorn writer. I also am sorta into Vex/Astrid (they can both be mean to men together and Astrid would like to get under her skin). I have also wondered what Delvin & Astrid’s relationship was like, but I’m not a big shipper of them. I say let Astrid kiss all women and men as she wishes <3. 

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING? Anything, really. For toxic ships, I’m more selective and it depends on what it consists of, Hateships, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, lovers to enemies, arranged marriages and more are free game. For me, shipping isn’t always romantic, I’m into platonic, familial, and enemy dynamics as well. I’ve been leaning more towards the term “dynamic” because it seems more universal than shipping. Since shipping is usually equated with romantic pairings.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE? As long as all characters are 21+, age gaps don’t matter to me at all.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING? I am, I suppose. I work off of chemistry and usually I like it when there’s progression. If there’s been previous interaction and instances that lead up to the romantic feelings because it makes it easier to write effectively with fluff. Like it’s more realistic to me since there’s reasons for why a character is into another, so chemistry is essential. Sometimes, though rarely, I can work with very little interaction but that’s usually in instances where I know and understand the others’ portrayal. I don’t ship based on face claims. All of my muses are into different traits and features. I think Astrid as a muse, despite being a big flirt, is generally selective with her feelings. She can get crushes easily and can be attracted to someone, but she honestly confuses me because she’ll be soft for someone in one moment and then change her tune in the next. I would love to deeply explore a slow burn dynamic with her. I’m still learning Astrid’s psyche and characterization as I go on, she’s a muse that doesn’t tell me much about herself and keeps a veil of mystery and unpredictableness about her, so I still have to understand her a bit more.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY’RE CONSIDERED NSFW? This is a little embarrassing to write out, but basically whenever the clothes come off or one muse or the other (or both) get “excited”. Basically when it gets really suggestive, I’ll throw it under a read more. It really depends on the predicament and my own comfort. I only write suggestive stuff like this on my other blog. I’m also more selective with smut writing than anything else.

WHO ARE OTHER MUSES YOU SHIP YOUR MUSE WITH? I’m pretty much game for anyone if chemistry is there. I stated already the ships that interest me, but I’m open to mostly anything. I would like to explore a polyamorous relationship with her because so far, most ships have seemed to be monogamous. I’m still learning Astrid as I write her, so I’m eager to learn more about her in a romantic dynamic. I’m also open to non-romantic dynamics as well. I would love to see Astrid as a mentor figure to someone, maybe someone she can see herself in. I am... lowkey.... interested in seeing how a Cicero/Astrid dynamic would work out lmao. The pure chaos of that would be delicious.

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU? Preferably. Usually, I ask just in the instance of force shipping. I don’t want to do that with anyone and I want to make sure we’re on the right page. This also gives someone else the opportunity to deny a ship and we can speak of other dynamics to try with our muses. Sometimes it can be obvious that you and the other mun are into shipping your muses, but I usually prefer asking just in case. It’s just healthy communication behavior. So, I would say I would prefer if someone asks me to ship. Generally, I do want to see more lgbt+ ships with Astrid.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU LIKE TO SHIP? Anytime and this isn’t only for romantic shipping. I love to explore dynamics generally. I know shipping is the more popular term, but I love deepening dynamics and trying out different things! I do love a good ounce of fluff and angst and my most memorable times in rping is the ships/dynamics I have dabbled in.

ARE YOU MULTISHIP? Yes. All ships take place in their own verse. With canon relationships, I usually drift to one portrayal because that just makes it easier writing-wise, but I’m open to duplicates.

ARE YOU SHIP OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS? I guess so? I love writing and talking about dynamics generally (not only in the romantic sense), so I suppose I am lmao.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM? I’m not sure lmao. I don’t really participate much in the skyrim ship sphere.
