Summary: They call him the Captain of Death.

That’s because he’s never lost a fight.

Being forced into the ring every week was as shitty a life as any could have, but it was fight or die, and Steve was not going to die. It was his life; earning loads of money from bets, and never seeing any penny himself, getting punched and kicked on the regular, and beating others half to death. A miserable life.

Then enter James Barnes, head of the infamous Sevastyanov family. He’s heard of this fighter they call the Captain, and he’s interested. It’s not the first time some rich asshole showed interest, but Steve can’t help but feel that this is different somehow. He just doesn’t understand why Barnes looks so familiar. Like a friend of his youth he had long forgotten about, or perhaps a part of a future that has not yet been.

Steve Rogers didn’t mean to stumble into mafia business that night–but stumble he did. After saving the life of infamous mob boss James Barnes, Steve finds himself trapped in a Brooklyn alleyway with a target on his back and nowhere to run. That is, of course, until Barnes offers him a deal; in return for saving his life, Barnes will offer him protection from Rumlow’s retaliation. The twist? They have to convince the rival mob (and all of New York’s juiciest tabloids) that they’re madly in love.

He makes a decision to pull her back from the edge, but how far from the edge can someone truly be?

Here is James Barnes, gracing the scum and lowlifes of Brooklyn with his presence, and here is Steve Rogers, not-so-cheap yet consistently broke hooker, sitting on his lap like he belongs there.

Very rapidly, that makes him the most dangerous Omega in New York.

Fic Stats Game!

Thank you for the tag @otpcutie! Sorry that's it's been almost a month literally more than six months oops since you tagged me. I was looking through my drafts and found this. apparently I wrote it last august and forgot to post it, so here it is! (lol). I have not read through this or checked the stats again so all of it could be incorrect now + hopefully i was having good thoughts about my fics at the time

Most hits: Everything, Slightly to the Left (23k, M) - this was my advent fic last year and the first time I didn't post a fic all at once, which definitely contributed to the higher number of hits. Ft. christmas, multiple universes, trans characters, and roommates to lovers.

Most kudos: let me fade into the air (6k, T) - this was actually the first fic I wrote for drarry (though not the first drarry fic I posted, I wrote it almost 6 months before I posted it) and is still one of the fics I'm most proud of. Ft. anxiety and (unnecessary) guilt, and established relationship.

Most comments: is again Everything, Slightly to the Left for the same reason as it has the most hits. Second most comment threads is (you) find me when the lights go down (1.8k, T) - my wireless fic this year!

Most bookmarks: this one is also one I've already talked about - let me fade into the air. I'm just going to take this opportunity again to say that I truly am proud of this fic for where I was in life and in my writing abilities when I wrote it. (Even if I maybe would make some different decisions with it now).

Most words: (Dis)obedience (30k, M) - I wrote this one during NaNoWriMo 2021 so it's probably also the fastest I've written that many words as well as being the most words. 30k still seems like so much for me to have written in one story, even if it's not that much in the grand scheme of things. This one is a Ella Enchanted-esque curse with trans draco and harry.

Least words: This would technically be my art for the reverse big bang last year, since it has 0 words. But excludig that would would be whirlpool (147 words) written for the drarry server drabble challenge.

Aug23: Thank you again for the tag moss! It was interesting revisiting my old fics! Sorry it took me so long to finally get to this. Feb24: I'm not going to tag anyone because, again, it has been more than half a year, but if anyone wants to do this consider yourself tagged!

Peter fell face down on his bed. His eyes stayed closed for a moment, his body completely relaxed. Sleep was calling him. He slowly drifted off.. his dreams pulling him in. Tony was already waiting for him, arms spread open. His love opened his mouth, words slipped out but he sounded off. Peter’s brain couldn’t process the things Tony said.

"Wake ... left a mess-... need to.... PETER!" Karen’s voice filled the room and ripped the young man out of his sleep.

"Why‘re you screamin'? Wanna sleep." Mumbled words left his mouth.

"I’m sorry Peter but Mister Stark left you a message when he went on his business trip." Peter did not pout, nop he didn’t. Okay, maybe a bit but Tony was gone for a few days and didn’t take his lover with him like always. "Can’t you just tell me what he said so I can go back to sleep?"

He was exhausted and missed his daddy, hearing his voice would make it worse.

"I’m afraid I can’t do that, Peter. Mister Stark said, you should listen to it when you’re alone." Karen was as lovely as ever.

"Alright, play it please." Peter made himself comfortable again. He reached for his pillow to wrap his arms around it, needing something to cuddle.

"Hello baby boy" Peter whimpered. "when you’re hearing this I’m probably going to be in a meeting but I thought I’d prepare this for you so you won’t miss me and it’s also something to .. distract yourself. Are you comfortable, sweetheart? I hope you’re on our bed now, looking all cute and cuddly in your sweater." Peter could hear Tony’s smile and it made his tummy tingle.

"Mhm okay, I know you’re daddy’s good boy and you‘ll listen to this, wishing I was there with you." Tony licked his lips. "Oh sweetheart, I should’ve taken you with me, shouldn’t I? You’d look so gorgeous right beside me in every meeting but I wanted to surprise you with something. You’re always on my mind, sweetheart. I love you." Peter’s eyes filled with tears.

"And I love when you spread your legs for me. Imagine me being there with you on our bed. I’d still be in my suit and you’re still wearing your cute sweater, aren’t you sweetheart?" He couldn’t help himself and let a "yes daddy" slip past his lips. "Mhm, your porcelain skin looks even more delicious like that. My pretty little doll, spread your legs for me. Daddy wants to get a taste of you. Let me lie down on top of you. You’d stare up at me and I’d lean down to finally kiss you after a long day. God sweetheart, I miss you so much. "Wha- no no no. Karen call Mister Stark." More tears slid down his cheeks. "I’m sorry Peter but Mister Stark is currently in a meeting." Peter was getting impatient.

"I don’t care, he has to take responsibility for his actions." Karen dialed Tony’s number.
