Just listened to Oversteps, new favorite album discovered! It was so gorgeous and commanding all the way through, so many jaw-dropping moments. ilanders comes to mind as a favorite track, but there’s so much good stuff that it’s hard to choose between anything.

So far, my ranking of Autechre projects is going like this:

My interest in exploring Autechre’s catalogue has been reinvigorated!

it's very disheartening to see that Palestine or Gaza is no longer the highest trending tag on Tumblr so early on in Global Strike week, especially considering how many people have said they still need to work and buy food (100% valid, by the way). don't lose momentum. keep talking about what's happening. keep reblogging and sharing useful resources and information. we need the Palestinian people to know that we see what's happening to them, we care about what's happening to them and we stand with them. Percy Jackson and Tumblr Live are no where near as important as the genocide of Palestinian people.

Oversteps got me together bitch. Easily the best project Autechre’s made post-Confield so far. “ilanders”, “known(1)”, and “redfall” are all too good. I might be buying clothes at the soup store here, but I generally prefer their “prettier” melodic work over their glitched out percussive work. I hope they touch on this avenue a bit more in their 2010s releases.

Perisex people need to do better for intersex people.

Perisex people need to educate ourselves so we don't treat intersex people as subhuman or like an after thought.

It is not acceptable to ask an intersex person about their genetalia just like it's not acceptable to ask anyone invasive questions about their genetalia and medical history.

It's also not okay to fetishize intersex people by saying "I wish I were born intersex, it would make things so much easier for me" because that phrasing denies the unique struggle and oppression that intersex people go through.
