this one moved me to legitimate tears: great horned owl and owlets
#ndr#find me where the wild things are#birds my beloved#great horned owl#owlets#i saw the adult and i thought i was the luckiest person in the world because theyre very hard to find in this part of the world#and then i was looking for warblers and found the nest#and had to sit down and take some deep breaths#people go their whole lives looking for owlets and never finding them#and i was just noodling and happened upon them#such a lucky opportunity#it meant i had to leave that area though so i didnt stress them#and i was hoping to spend a couple hours there so that was a bummer#but the trade off? totally worth it

I couldn't get it done before the end of his birthday stream, but a gift for @FredrikKnudsen, a weird anime twink who managed to change the lives of so many, including myself.

Siblings - Great Horned Owl babies by Georgie Alexon Via Flickr: These great horned owlets seemed almost ready to start branching. Yet, their parents nested on a palm tree in the middle of a field. Besides being open to the weather and having no shade, the same breeding pair seem to nest there successfully over the past couple of years. Taken at the boat launch at Fort De Soto, Florida. - Bubo virginianus

Hedwig is putting the moves on the Malfoy’s owl.
Little does she know that her little avian romance will change the course of history and help two very confused, horny boys find love.
Oh, and defeat Voldemort, but who cares about that tit, really.

Spotted You
A spotted owl stares at me in curiosity, while I spotted it. I moved a bit to get a better view and that pic is a featured image.

the look that says "You can't choose your family"

"After receiving a tip about a family of Burrowing Owls on the eastern edge of Cheyenne, a photographer rushed to the location in late June. The owlets seemed nearly ready to leave their burrows. Over the years, the photographer has perfected a method using a GoPro on a small tripod, set to take a photo every 5 seconds. They leave the camera behind, allowing the owls to feel comfortable. The challenge lies in the long wait to see if the effort pays off. This shot was taken on June 28th."
