Here's one of the last images I snapped of Breadsticks back on March 17. They were rattling a lot that day, which some believe could be a sign of appreciation. Here they are nibbling at a flowering bud on the tree. The only images taken after this are of them just making the noise in the same position. They're just about a year old so far too young to have found a mate to gone and had eggs with. I've come close to breaking down over the thought of them being finally being gone but I'm starting to accept it.

Found some moth eggs overwintering on a fencepost near my house. They have been laid on the outside of a coccoon suspended from the fencewire. The cocoon and egg patterns suggest they belong to the vapourer - Orgyia antiqua. The female of which is flightless and often lays on the cocoon it hatched from.

They endured the −26 °C winter and embrace the warm spring!

A tiny White-Tailed Deer fawn (Odocoileus virginianus) that Maxwell the doggo found across the fence in the woodlot, now Max just wants to stand silent watch over it, but I doubt Mom would like that....
