I don't know why this keeps happening. I thought "I'll make a quick sketch drawing". And then "Oh, this looks awfully blank, I'll give it some quick shading". And then x many hours later, I end up with this.

It's like the drawing version of "I'll just read one more page before going to bed". Except it'd be like "Hm, a little quick effect won't hurt".

The short-ish explanation for this is that Niji's electric powers are similar to the Mink tribe's Electro. So I had this thought/conspiracy that what if his lineage factor/DNA was "edited" using the Mink DNA as template to give him the electricity, but the scientists don't know how to take out the Sulong transformation from the DNA. So if he takes off the goggles or the goggles break, and he sees the moon he might transform into Sulong.

Day 4 au/clothing swap Rouge x Sora

Rouge was hurrying home when she spotted her, a gorgeous blonde woman with a child only a year or so older than her own Ace, with pink hair and curly eyebrows, with four babies strapped to her. Rogue should ignore her and keep walking, but something in her couldn't ignore another mother in trouble. Rouge stopped and faced the woman she bent at the waist and held out her hand.

“Come with me, my own son is between your children's ages, I have milk for the babies at home,” Ace was enjoying solid food more than milk, he would be weaned soon enough.

When Rouge walked into the small living room and kitchen, Ace toddling behind her, she noticed a delightful scent of something sweet and of fresh bread. The pink haired little girl was sitting on the floor reading a book upside down. She was flipping through the pages as if she were actually reading the words. Ace toddled over to sit next to her. He loved it when she read out loud to him, so it wasn't much of a surprise when he hit the book with his tiny hands.

“Book!” Ace demanded of the little girl.

Rouge tuned out the story the little girl started to tell Ace and watched the other three, the fourth nowhere to be found. They crawled around pretty well for what she guessed was between five and seven months old. The one with a streak of red in his blond hair seemed to be the leader as the other two with a blue streak and green streak seemed to be following him around as they explored their new evermint.

Rouge turned her attention to the women in her dress. It was too long on her but too small in other places. She was stirring something on the stove, the last child strapped to her back, his blonde hair matching the womens perfectly. All of the children had curly eyebrows.

“Good morning,” Rouge greeted the women in her kitchen and took a seat at the small table.

It was wonderful, before she became queen in name only she had been a simple girl from a small village with dreams of opening a small inn, some place to serve harty food, a place for travelers to rest their weary heads. She made a decent living selling her many preserves. They were all recipes from her home in the north. People here in the south had never had such food and loved it. “I'm afraid I don't know anyone by that name. You have the wrong house.” Sora attempted to shut the door on him only to have one large hand stop it. Sora ran for the kitchen, grabbing the cast iron she kept hung over the stove and a butcher's knife. “I suggest you leave now!”

Rouge was giving the boys a bath after they had all rolled around in the mud earlier. Rejiu was at the kitchen table reading. Sora put herself between her daughter and the strange man.

“I'm not here to hurt you,”

“I don't believe you,” Judge had made many pretty promises and broke every one of them.

“Sora, it's OK. I know this man…unfortunately,” Rouge had come out of the bathroom, her dress wet from the children's bath. “Garp, what even are you doing here!” Rouge turned to glare at the man, Sora did not put her makeshift weapons down. Rouge may trust him, but Sora wasn't too sure about this.

“I'm relocating you. To many marines have been sniffing around here lately. It's too risky for you to stay,”

“Mãe?” Ace's voice spoke from the doorframe. Five little heads looked out from behind the door, all staring at the rather large man in front of them.

Sora needed to get to the other children, but the man had already spotted them and was crouched in front of them. Niji immediately reached for his hat, not a single ounce of fear to be found. Ichiji and Yonji were the same way. They were getting better, but still, she worried about how much of the modifications had taken.

TBH with you anon, it all started back in 2017-2018 when I rewatched and reread OP again after hearing Sanji's getting married to Pudding in WCI 👀 I stopped because I was in highschool and getting ready to review for college entrance exams that time.💀So I need to take a break from long-running animes and focus for my exams.

I tried to keep up with both the manga and the anime, and apparently, my TL on twitter back then passed a NijiCose fanart and got spoiled before reaching the actual episode 800-802💀😭 that fanart was from @ovaCkuyuri... Here's a pixiv log of the said NijiCose fanarts:

At first I already knew they're problematic based on how they're interpreted on the fanarts (like Niji being a Tsundere to Cosette, and her acting nervous and flustered around him). But as I continued to watch and reread the manga... I noticed something interesting as well on Niji's character on manga that was documented on his profile page in OP wiki:

So far, he has the most "redeeming qualities from his modified brothers 👀 I know it says that his values totally contrast against Sanji, but I still have hopes for him.

In the series tho, I wish for a closure and reconciliation for both Niji and Cosette once the Vinsmoke siblings' modifications have been reversed. I want Niji to genuinely apologize to her and pay her back for everything.

Also, to answer your question how do I deal with this ship, I simply view them as problematic and angsty, yet a redeemable ship.

For sure, Cosette is traumatized deeply from Niji, and for sure she's totally aware of the modification story of the Vinsmoke siblings when she was hired in Germa. She knows what she's getting into when she was hired as their Royal Head Chef. Hopefully we got some backstory of how she got there in the first place 👀

I always daydream of them getting slowburned from Niji's existential crisis as humanity regains from his senses as he feels horribly guilty about his wrong doings as a warmonger, not just to Cosette; and Cosette knowing that he's not born to be evil in the first place, tolerating and slowly tries to understand him.

That's a good question since there are so many characters in OP! Some who come to mind immediately are Queen, Who's Who, Sasaki, and a few other newer characters. Not bc I hate them, I really like Beasts Pirates, but I feel like I don't have a strong enough grasp on the characters mentioned imo.
