I have a few days off so I reorganized some things in my place. I don't have a lot of space so after seeing someone putting up paint tubes like that I wanted to do that too. I like it a lot when everything is visible and easily accessible.
Having a small living space can be annoying but it stops you from accumulating too much stuff you don't need ...and it's also much easier to keep it clean ^^
Flowers are back after the freeze so I've been pressing a bunch for the wood paintings! I have another monarch painted, just waiting for the purple flowers to finish drying in another 1.5 weeks. Flower pressing is a test of patience that's for sure.
I have officially started painting the walls in the living room.
well, I've mixed/adjusted the paint and painted some swatches and put up masking tape and all that stuff. I'll be painting tomorrow. I'm so excited (to get started, but mostly that I'll finally be all done with evvvverything*)
*until I think of the next thing I want to do, and the next one after that, and -
Guess who finally got back into painting. (This is the... 33rd model? In like 8 years???) And we did uk'otoa because why not. (I have a busted shoulder and shaky hands and it's a big model, that's why shh).
Anyway did I saw scatter terrain and make a homemade cheap mast out of a wooden dowel, some string and left over milliput from 3 years ago? Hahaha. What of it.
So as you can see, I've been busy painting myself a lil' craft.
Found this puppy on the side of the road months ago during the winter, a little dinged up but over all in good condition.
Took it home with the express plan of cleaning it up in the future, once the summer rolled around and I could set up my spray paint base outside. (Spray paint doesn't set well in the cold)
Well, it was hot as hell out, so it was the perfect time to paint!
And paint I did.
Had this baby baking out in the sun for maximum perfect paint coverage. Painstakingly applying coat after coat for a pristine finish, only to have grounds keeper mow the lawn and launch a gorillion tiny blades of grass pulp all over it, ruining it and forcing me to start over.
After the rage subsided and I cleaned it up, I took it back inside and painted the designs on over the course of a few days and reattached the hardware.
Anyhoo, I'm super proud of how it turned out and someday down the road I'll probably paint more of my storage units to match the Memphis aesthetic as I'm a big fan of it.
Shout out to Killer Klowns From Outer Space for the colour pallet.
