Hi! I am new to f1 and coming back to tumblr after years for the #content. Do you have any blogs you’d recommend? I made the mistake of choosing Ferrari as my favorite team 😒 so Carlos/Charles/Ferrari would be appreciated but also lando and just f1 in general :) thank you, totally understand if you don’t want to though!

@silverstonesainz - you know i can never shut up about dani. i love every single piece of her writing dearly. the way she writes is beautiful and i would recommend any of her work (fics, insta aus, any).

@holllandtrash - the obsession i have with em's series is embarrassing. she somehow always gets me engrossed with the plot and ropes me in. again, amazing writing. currently obsessed w her 6 to 1 series (and dont get me started w her secret admin series).

@scuderiasundays - love love love love emme's insta aus. theyre so cute and fun, they always leave a warm feeling in my heart. it feeds my soul.

@schuvries - anything spirit writes gives me goosebumps. i need to continue her series but when i tell you her writing makes you feel. will recommend her through and through.

@lxclerc - i would recommmend any of their work. their writing makes my skin crawl (in the best way possible). call out my name & moth to a flame? it's embarassing how often i read that.

rambles

tbh i do not really follow any accounts for the rambles- although i do love some good chisme. i always enjoy reading posts from @champagnepodiums (and the amount of effort they put in the stats etc is astonishing), i also love what is posted on @sainz, and i love reading dom's (@sainzcaleruega's) reactions/tags (pure unhinged brainrot).

i do think most of the recommended people i have are quite known but i am obsessed with their work and content, but i hope i was a bit helpful <3

Hey! I sometimes forget as well, and then it's like "oh yeah, okay cool 😭" I've gone through my bookmarks (which is by no means an exhaustive list) to try and pull some things together that touch on their age difference. Some of these are definitely more "in the spirit of" and touching on the gap in their experiences rather than "they are 5 years apart" The list got a bit long, so it's under the "read more." But he’s not out— he’s hammering and kicking at a door in a residence hall at 9:30 at night. A boy kicking and yelling— “Danny! You piece of shit, answer the door!” Or: Carlos has his night interrupted by a tetchy first-year, but maybe it's not all bad in the end

It should be embarrassing that Carlos’ touch makes him shiver after being apart for less than twenty-four hours, even when the touch is above his hoodie. But Carlos sliding his hand around Lando’s waist and below his backpack does just that. Maybe it’s the subtle and blatant possessiveness of Carlos kissing his temple when he pulls Lando close, plain to see in front of Daniel. The press of Carlos’ lips still makes Lando’s knees weak. Before Carlos is able to tug Lando fully out of the room, Daniel calls back for them. Both of their heads turn, but Daniel’s look is inscrutable. He hums to himself and shakes his head. “Fucking of course.” It’s said mostly to himself, but Lando can’t help but grin to himself because Daniel’s right, in a way. The irony isn’t lost on Lando about who he’s ended up with. Or: Looks into Lando and Carlos' life after they decide to give their not-casual-one-night-stand thing a proper go

Carlos stays quiet, trailing Lando through the ornate halls that are simultaneously cold yet warm with their rugs and furniture. He watches the way Lando walks, the way the younger boy lets his shoulders fall the farther they get from the watchful eyes of his family. It looks like he’s shedding a coat, a mask specifically put into place for his family’s sake. The change is fascinating— there’s a story there that would explain all of Lando’s intricacies, and Carlos finds that he wants to know every single detail. The family had appeared to be perfectly amenable, so why is the change in Lando’s demeanour so painfully obvious? Or: Carlos travels to England to apprentice under Lando’s father for the summer and admittedly ends up falling in love along the way

Prince Carlos is immensely talented, kind, suspiciously handsome, and seemingly dedicated to this alliance. But Lando isn't buying any of it - for the sake of Anglosax. Allegedly.

Lando wants to die. Crawl in a hole, and die. His tombstone can read 'Here lies Lando, he did not speak Spanish.' Carlos repeats himself, looking at Lando with faint amusement in his eyes. Lando can feel his cheeks flush as his simply stares back, absolutely no clue what's being asked of him. // Or: University AU where Lando doesn't speak Spanish but ends up in an advanced class, and Carlos is a young professor determined to teach Lando Spanish.

Lando realizes as Carlos is telling them all about this job in London that maybe the feelings he's been carrying around aren't so straight or bro-pal-lad as he thought they were. It's really unfortunate that Carlos is set to move 5,478 miles away from him in just a few weeks. Told over a year and set directly after the end of our Piarles/Maxiel stories, we see Lando come to terms with his own feelings about Carlos, make a lot of mistakes along the way, attempt to get through the last year of his program with Alex, and realize that sometimes being the smartest person in the room isn't as valuable as he's always thought it would be.

1. Are you named after anyone? Not that I know of.

2. When was the last time you cried? I can't remember specifically the last time I cried, but I cried when my little kitten died not too long ago... Oh and Carlos' and Isa's breakup also made me quite sad.

3. Do you have kids? No (or at least not yet). I think I'd like to.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Kind of. I used to use it a bit more when I was younger like around eleven/twelve years old, but I realised then when people didn't understand it or found it annoying. So yeah don't use it as often anymore, but occasionaly. 😉

5. What sports do you play/have played? I did a sport called "Leichtathletik" (that's the german word for it, idk the english one 😅) for three years and I go biking from time to time or play tennis.

6. What's the first thing you notice about other people? Their eyes and sometimes their feelings.

7. Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings all the way!

8. Any Special talents? None... No seriously, I can't think of any...

9. Where were you born? In Switzerland 🇨🇭 and I love my home country! ✨

10. What are your hobbies? I'm a real bookworm, so reading of course! I also enjoy writing letters, shopping, hanging out with friends, singing and relaxing. And F1 obviously.

11. Do you have any pets? Yes, two guinea pigs. Their names are Teddy and Lea, they're really sweet. And I had a kitten for a year until it died as mentioned before... 💔

12. How tall are you? 1.61 m, my siblings like to bully me bc of it. (Just joking, I love my siblings.)

13. Fave subjects in school? Sports and Art.

14. Dream Job? Being a librarian. Have I mentioned I adore books? So yeah, that. Maybe I'll think about doing a special school for future journalists at some point.

What do you mean its always been a bit different between you two, George?

There’s so many ‘work’ friendships in F1 but there’s so few real friendships and I think theirs is definitely one of them.

Alex actually is quite sociable outside of F1 and hangs out with lots of different drivers but George has a very small circle of people he seems to hang out with and Alex is part of that. I mean Alex is his best friend and Lando & Charles are work friends.

I could put my shipper specs on to answer this but even on a base level their friendship seems to transcend racing which I guess is a lot different to a lot of other f1 friendships. They’ve been through a lot together, they’ve been friends since they were practically babies. If you think about the shit Alex went through as a teen and they stayed close friends through that. They’re definitely supportive friends!

You can just tell how fond they are of each other, like they just seem to naturally gravitate together and the way they talk about each other, it’s so cute to see, I hope it stays that way!
