3rd traumatic accident in 2022 during paragliding, Gujarat tourist died
A tourist from Gujarat died due to neglect of safety norms at a paragliding site in Bhimtal. Surprisingly, the administration, police and tourism department are saying that even after two days there is no information about the accident. This incident has once again exposed the negligence being taken towards the safety of pilots and tourists at the paragliding site. The relatives of the slain…

Intouchables and Last Twilight
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, when I was first watching the Last Twilight episode, something was bugging me about the choice of having Day in a wheelchair. Because it was a choice. And as I kept watching it, I kept feeling like I was missing something. My memory is terribly slow with these things, so it wasn't until I went back that I got it. Intouchables. So now, for some context. Intouchables is a french film from 2011 that tells the story of a french rich businessman that, after becoming quadriplegic from a paragliding accident, hires a young black man to be his carer. This is based on a true story. (Yes, there is an american version, but I haven't seen it so I can't speak to it.) If you've never watched this movie, go watch it, cause for sure Aof has watched it.
You can probably already see the parallels just from this small synopses. I'm gonna say too much about the movie, I'm just gonna talk about the similarities so far.
So we got our two main characters. Philippe and Driss. Philippe is our basic older rich white guy, with the palatial mansion and a hundred people servicing his every need. Also he's quadriplegic. Driss is the opposite side of all of this. He is poor, he lives off of unemployment benefits, his house is small and cramped, shared with family. So, Driss needs to look for a job to get the benefits, but he doesn't actually want the job. He just needs to show that he's looking for one. All he needs is a signature. Anyway... So he goes for an interview.
Tumblr media
I think you can spot Driss.
Tumblr media
While he's waiting for the interview, we see the other man being interviewed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And at some point he's had enough.
Tumblr media
.
Tumblr media
And he simply bursts into the room.
Tumblr media
.
Tumblr media
I mean, one is a palatial living room, and the other is basically an office but you the picture. This next part in the film is slightly different in the show, because Driss is not even phased by the vision of the man in the wheelchair. He's much more interested in Magalie, the secretary, but we couldn't have that in our bl.
Tumblr media
.
Tumblr media
After this, the similarities continue. Because both Driss and Mork don't want the job, but both Philippe and Day are intrigued by this guy that just walked in and that doesn't seem to be interested in the actual job. Also because both Driss and Mork don't really act like what Philippe and Day are used to people acting around them.
[I beg of you. Even if you don't watch the film, just watch the interview bit. Because it's brilliant. Driss is brilliant] So Driss eventually leaves, to return another day for the signed paper. And Mork just leaves. And the next scenes are basically the same, we're shown the circumstances that will eventually lead them both to want the job. There are other parallels between Driss and Mork, and their circumstances and environment, the smoking and the drinking, the fighting... But for now this is it. I'll be re-watching the film this weekend so I might have some other thoughts but I wanted to get this out. I don't know if the show will continue to parallel the film, so I'm not going to say anymore about it. But I'm keeping this is mind for the next episode, because from the previews I have a feeling this is gonna continue. Also, I adore this film and everyone should watch it.

So one of my all-time favorite ways to play through botw is without teleporting. I adore the additional challenge it brings and it adds a certain level of planning ahead and requires you to become familiar with the layout of the world and locations of things.
I've been upset to find out through testing that a TRUE teleport-less run of totk is impossible thanks to the tutorial island. So I have yet to try a "partial" one to see if it's still as fun as in botw.
(EDIT: I've heard conflicting things saying it's possible to get to the fourth tutorial shrine without teleporting? I haven't tried it myself but when I say true run I also mean without exploits. If you need to do some precise exploit of the game to make a run like that work, it isn't really that fun for me anymore. I'll attempt a teleport-less tutorial island one day so we'll see)
I have, however, found a fun way to play totk through accident on my second playthrough.
Tumblr media
In botw, it is impossible to finish all 120 shrines without completing each of the four divine beasts. That's because there are exactly 4 shrines (1 in each region) that only become available after completing a shrine quest that does not unlock until after the respected divine beast is cleared.
(EDIT: Correction, there are exactly 2 shrines that are inaccessible without the completion of their respected divine beast. So all the shrines in the game can be completed with the minimum completion of 2 divine beasts. These shrines are the warbler's nest shrine in rito and the sand seal race shrine in gerudo. I mistakenly believed an npc for a shrine in goron did not spawn until after rudania and that the ceremonial trident did not spawn until after ruta (my searching skills are abyssmal and I missed both those things on my playthroughs prior to the beasts lol))
In totk, NONE of the shrines are dependent on the completion of a dungeon to access. All save for ONE SINGLE QUEST in Eldin that requires Yunobo's sage ability to access the shrine.
AND through the heart container granted after completing the tutorial, the heart containers granted after completion of the rito, gerudo, zora, and goron dungeons, and choosing the heart container granted by the bargainer statue beneath the great plateau... You can unlock the door to the underground dungeon without spending a single spirit orb.
Meaning that the only required story progression beats in totk to witness 80% of the (non-flashback) cutscenes with link as a silly little fucked up beast is getting the paraglider and getting up to the point in the goron story line to have Yunobo as a companion. Also meaning that every dungeon in totk can be completed without spending spirit orbs beyond the tutorial.
Playing through totk on a mission to get every shrine without upgrading health or stamina ONCE is more fun than I ever thought it would be. I had a BLAST. As someone who thinks the building mechanic is neat, but not really made for me, it made me interact with a mechanic that I never really enjoyed and find something to appreciate about it.
I also added the challenge of NOT upgrading my battery charge at all, which I would recommend if you're really wanting to make the game a bit harder.
AND it has the added bonus of Ancient Link staring into everyone's soul in every single cutscene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
So get out there and run around as a little beastie.

I haven't watched purgatory streams cuz I am too busy rn, but here's some hcs
- Only emotionally charged scars stay on the body. Like both Phil and Fit have their scars because they felt so betrayed. The other wounds heal with respawn.
- Fit thought that Pac not only helped to kill him, but also agreed to be a bait to lure 2b2t veteran in a trap. After this "betrayal" Fit's eyes change.
- as a dumbahh who watched arcane, I really like the idea of eye changing with emotional stability. Like powder — blue/grey eyes, Jinx — pink eyes. So I have a HC that after the incident Fit's usually brown eyes change to almost toxic green eyes.
- Fit has severe PTSD about 2b2t. The betrayal triggered it and now he doesn't trust people.
- also Fit has 2b2t gravured in his prosthetic arm/gauntlet.
- every time étoiles kills someone, they have a star shaped scar.
- Phil has star shaped scar. Also the majority of his scars from nightmare and code fight. Also some from earth smp.
- Phil had a very speedy, flying oriented battle type. Now he has a different fighting skills, but likes to attack from above (using paraglider)
- Fit's battle skills are way more grounded, he puts way more force in his punches and swings. He also used to fight with only gauntlets/bare hands, so he's a master of hand-to-hand combat.
- Étoiles is just a goat, but he's something in between. He's also very grounded, but is jumpy.
- Roier is a funny but quiet kid, when it comes to battles. Nobody expects it, but he's a pro. He's super good at breaking through shields and at unarming opponent.
- Fit and Phil train together, and it's fun. But sometimes when crowza accidentally triggers PTSD, Fits fighting style suddenly changes. He now doesn't fight to better his skills, he fights to survive. His punches become more chaotic and heavy. They both apologize later.
- Jaiden is literally "I'm a helpless little girl. And j set the building on fire by accident, tooootaly by accident. Also I brought this dynamite. Goodbye:)" And then everything blows up. She's the epitome of "act weak when you're strong".
- Pol (i sadly haven't watched any of his streams cuz of language barrier, but I think he deserves more recognition) only pretends being oblivious and indifferent towards federation. Like he's the first person from all frozen members to remember his past and cooperate with cucurucho.
- I kinda feel like Rubius is one of the old residents of the island.
- Aypierre is Ayanami Rei (/j but I honestly don't understand his lore. I use Tumblr as a news channel and I still don't know what happened to Pierre. Is he ayrobot? Do they now share a body???)
- after the nether Forevers hair go to shoulders.
- Rubius once was just a man. He was an original old resident. After a few years of working with people on the server he was promoted to an angel/devil entity. For it was funny at first, but soon enough it became boring, cuz he wasn't allowed to interact with people apart giving them quests. So he disguised himself as a man and left the island. Later he came back on train with everyone. For escaping and messing with people, giving them illegal stuff ect he was demoted and "fell from heaven". (This HC has literally no reasons, but I like it.
- Carre likes to stretch like a cat.
- team bollas sleep close to each other, but don't go under blankets, cuz in their base there's literal lava above the celling.
- Fit is severely touch starved but he doesn't always trusts enough. During qsmp he became more affectionate, and started to initiate touching. He always puts his hand of someone's shoulder to comfort them (baby steps). I don't feel like after purgatory this stays like that.
- it's not my headcanon, but I adore when people draw Bagi muscular. Like, I dunno why. But I love it so much.
- Missa is a real skeleton, so when death duo reunited for the first time, Phil literally detached wet cat's skull from the neck, yelling "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN"
- Some people have things that represent their close ones. Phil has skull, trinket (is it how it called?) of his kids on his back, flowers from forever, star keychain from étoiles and a bomb from Fit. Fit has Philza's feather, a necklace with a pacman on it, a bolt from Tubbo, and Ramon modifies his arm a lot. Ect ect.
- waaaay back when Slime went on a rampage after Juana's death, Fit called him to a tête-à-tête dialogue. At first he pushed Slime to the tree and put elbow on his neck, but during Charlie's monologue he let his guard down and even wanted to place his hand on the shoulder. Yet before that they were interrupted by Roier. (Also Charlie asking advice and trusting Fit all this time was quite sweet. Like, he even asked advice when dead eggs came back)
- during purgatory Phil balances himself with weapons.
- Charlie always suspected CodeFlippa wasn't the real one, but he deliberately chose to ignore that. Ignorance is a blessing.
- gladiator by Jann but Étoiles, you see what I see???
- Phil and Fit are terrible sleep bros. When they went to adventures with kids and had to sleep in the open, Fit couldn't sleep, listening to players steps, and Phil tried to figure out mobs. Also they play footsie (they said it on one stream, this is cannon. I really dunno are they besties or homos anymore)
- one of the ways to know if an avian on the server is sick is to see how their feathers react to water. If I'm correct, irl birds have a special stuff on them to not get wet. Only birds with sickness appear to be wet (mb not all birds are like that, I don't remember)
- just "are we still sisters?" Dialogue from arcane but Bagi and Cellbit
- everyone has bags under the eyes
That's all for now.

tkk fics
this list contains the most recent works i have read, in the past 2 weeks, as i got back into reading bts ff. hope u guys enjoy them too
Kenopsia - 28.4k - Breakups hurt. Jungkook knows. But he didn't know when two people are in love, so much love, and yet they have to part ways... it doesn't hurt, it breaks a person. He is that person today. Taehyung is that person today.
What we had was so true, somehow we lost everything - 173.7k - Jeongguk and Taehyung got married when they were young after a short and passionate affair. They are both famous and rich and they are Korea’s sweetheart couple and on the outsider they seem just perfect together. But as the old saying goes – behind closed door something else is going on. Out of the public eye, their marriage is far from perfect, in fact, the flame burned out a long time ago and they are almost like strangers.
But Never Doubt I Love - 9k - They were friends. At least that was what Taehyung thought up until now. He wasn't so sure about it anymore, though. Not with the way his heart had gone haywire and envy flared up inside his chest, witnessing five pretty wolves circling around and doing their best at courting Jungkook.
As Skyscrapers At Night - 228k - taekook au in which parkour bad boy Jungkook bumps into bitchy fashion model Taehyung. Joking, the younger tells the stranger to follow him on Instagram for more content. What he doesn't expect once home is to receive a notification from said guy, following him together with 18k people.
The Land of Love - 150k - Kim Taehyung is a chaebol in South Korea. One day, while paragliding, an accident caused by a tornado leads Taehyung to make an emergency landing in North Korea. There, he meets Jeon Jungkook, who is a North Korean army officer. He hides Taehyung and tries to protect him. Hilarity, drama and romance ensue at once.

TOTK REIMAGINED
First of all, the Link and Zelda from Skyward Sword are named Sky (Link) and Sun (Zelda) to distinguish them from Link and Zelda (botw/totk)!
The nicknames are borrowed from Linked Universe!!
MAJOR TOTK PLOT SPOILERS!!
- That Ganondorf? He's not Ganondorf, but another man. Maybe gerudo, an evil king. But not Ganondorf.
- Rauru is a Hylian, the son of Sky and Sun, first king of Hyrule and first sage
- the constructs are ancient Sheikah tech infused with holy power from Sun/Hylia! They look so magical and advanced because they are full of Sun's power nobody else has.
- Sonia is a Sheikah, and she isn't the descendant of Sun and Sky.
(spoilers ahead)
- Before leaving the world of the living, Sun created the sacred stones, taking 7 amber relics and adding her power to them, and explained her and Sky's son (Rauru) their purpose, though there was a collateral effect, the draconification, if one was to eat the stone.
- Link didn't start from the sky islands when he woke up after the accident under the castle, but Rauru's hand took him in the depths, in an enclosed area containing the Sealed temple and the huge goddess statue temple from sksw, that got buried with time under what's now the Great Plateau. The tutorial is both in the depths and, when Link reactivates the 3 stone tablets and the last remaining bird statue, he gets his paraglider back and is sent to the sky thanks to the bird statue, the only access to the sky other than using the rewind functionality if the hand.
- Link's arm is NOT Rauru's (that so strange, chopping an arm off a dead body and sewing it to Link... eww) but one of those ancient constructs. Rauru reactivates the hand but it's not fully ready, Link had to reactivate its functionalities (ultrahabd, rewind, autobuild, fuse etc)
- Mineru isn't Rauru's sister but his and Sonia's daughter, and she's half Sheikah half Hylian. When her mother passed away, and Zelda, a Hylian, took her place, Mineru was considered the Sheikah sage. Her parents didn't want her to get a stone though, she took it by accident out of curiosity maybe, or maybe I'll find a more fitting story/reason. Also, she doesn't die or turn into a spirit. She lives and the royal bloodline continues with her and most likely an Hylian as the royal family has always been known as Hylian. In modern times, her stone is passed to Josha.
- It's the power of all the new sages, the great fairies, the 3 dragons and Link together to bring Zelda back, and not the ghosts of Rauru and Sonia.
- The first group of sages was created by Rauru, giving the secret stones to wise people of different populations. He's the sage of light. The others are Sonia (sheikah), a goron, a "zora" (primitive zora, blue colored probably, a mix of oot looking zora and parella from sksw), a gerudo (oot style and nomad), instead of the Rito who didn't exist yet we get a member of the Wind Tribe, and Mineru. When Sonia is killed, Zelda takes her place, but with her own stone, as the enemy has taken Sonia's.
- Link won't get his arm back, but the construct arm will get esthetic upgrades to look less metallic and easier to use, smoother to move. The holy power inside will most likely fade after the whole adventure that used and "drained" it, so at the end Link will have a working prosthetic arm and hand but no special powers. He will as well learn to use both the hands to fight.

Crash Landing on You (2019 - 2020)
Tumblr media
This drama begins when a paragliding accident sends South Korean heiress, Yoon Seri (Son Yejin), over the border into North Korea and into the life of a military officer named Ri Jeonghyeok (Hyun Bin), who decides to help her get back. WARNING: if you do not like romance dramas, this is not for you. This drama is full of suspense, political drama, and romance as Jeonghyeok tries to find a way to get Seri back to South Korea while also hiding her identity from local authorities.
Chemistry between the leads: 100/10 ❤️
Found family trope: ✅️✅️✅️✅️
Character growth: 10/10
Interesting conflict: 20/10
This drama is amazing. It's my favorite drama from 2020. It develops all the relationships and characters so well, even the characters you barely see. I don't know how they did it, but it was amazing 👏👏👏👏👏

I just watched Ragnarok Season 3 and have some thoughts about it. Most of all, this is about Magne, and what I had in mind watching him throughout the series. Come scream at me with your own thoughts.
Keep in mind, this has some major spoilers of season 3.
Tumblr media
Magne
I totally get him, I get why the writers had us living through everything and then just to end it without the huge fight everyone expected.
Magne himself: he is the lone, strange kid. Too big, too silent. Maybe he could be considered to be on the neurodiverse spectrum. He also struggles with being dyslexic and seems to be behind his peers. That alone makes him a pariah for most. Season 3 with the comics and Turid‘s speech made a lot of things clear. (Maybe Magne never really understood or worked through the death of his father Asbjorn. He had somehow to cope.) Magne used to flee into whatever he could to feel like he belongs, to escape reality and not feel „worthless/powerless“ all the time.
Turid: She wants to be helpful but can’t to seem understand either Magne or Laurits. The death of Asbjorn has forced her to be the sole provider for their family, she struggles with the problems they have and while she sees her children struggle, she doesn’t take the time needed to fully listen to them, thinking it’s just a phase most of the time we see her. It takes tragic accidents (and whatever really happened to Trym) for her to finally understand that something is really bad, that Magne needs help.
Isolde: She is an outsider herself, but it seems to be partially by choice. She is the one to see Magne, not his problems, but him, and really wants him to come out of his shell and learn to life. She sees him and he latched onto that, because for once someone doesn’t see the kid with problems but Magne as a human being. She seems to be the first.
Isolde‘s death: A major trigger. Magne began to feel human around Isolde and maybe blamed himself for her death because he was supposed to be with her. It also seemed to have triggered the episode of Magne falling back into the pseudo-reality he built to cope with the accident. The Jutuls were an easy target to blame.
Everyone against Magne: Teachers, the police, even his own mother seemed to be against him. Magne couldn’t understand the world anymore, He couldn’t understand why Isolde’s death wasn’t “as big of a deal” for everyone else as it had been for him. He felt betrayed by Erik especially because he was Isolde’s father and seemed to take it as it was. It didn’t make sense for him, because Isolde told him she was a good paraglider and why would she make the mistake to fly down in a thunderstorm? The police seemed to change their opinion again and again. He lashes out, flees into being Thor because then he could be strong, and look for the real reason.
Laurits seemed to be the first to understand that his brother really has some problems, and that he should stand with him (cue the Ran/Jutul-Parody). Laurits is also portrayed as hopping sides whenever Magne escalates because I think he is one of the few to call/disrupts Magne out of his parade/pseudo-reality
Police, Hospital and Medication: Magne visiting the psychiatrist and getting medication as a paranoid schizophrenic. Magne has lived through a traumatic experience with Isolde’s death and can’t seem to cope with it at all. They said he seemed to believe he needed to be a hero and to protect Edda from the evil of the Jutuls. He seemed to realize himself fleeing into the “Thor-identity” because he said: “I wasn’t myself” but fell right back into it. Did he ever take the medication, after the fight with Vidar, didn’t Turid ever force him to take it? Didn’t a doctor ever check in if Magne took his medication? Or did Magne already flee so far into this pseudo reality that he kept living it? (Maybe it is a major plothole)
Wench and Isolde’s words: Wench might be a bit strange, I would say she, while being a “strange old lady” somehow get’s Magne and means to be helpful to guid him along the way when others couldn’t. The vision of her turning to Isolde, saying she would always be with him (in his heart), is for me a step forward for him, because while he still seems to be trapped in his pseudo reality he starts to open up to others. The other gods come into play, Signy, and the other local kids. He becomes approachable but the war in his head is not over.
The other gods/friends: They became Magne’s friends along the journey but also fight with each other so often, or become strangers along the way again. Totally natural. Magne is more open to them, maybe even relates to them but a lot of it depends on his behavior. Whenever he seems to withdraw back into the “war in his head” he becomes unapproachable, even hurtful.
The Jutuls: They are, in his head, the enemy and source of all evil. An target to put his anger, instead to eat it up and let it fester. For him, they are at fault for everything bad that happens in Edda. Maybe they are for some of these: certainly a big company into mining rare resources has some skeletons in the closets.
Mjolnir: A power-fantasy. Magne felt useless, a loser. When everyone who was “hurt” by Jutul Industries turned him down on the rightful way, and people kept dying from the neglect by the Jutuls, he snapped and turned to the one thing that gave him power. It made him feel strong, but enstranged him to Signy and his brother, even the other gods/friends who at first enabled him to get stronger through it. It’s why it helped to have it at first. He had some sense of power because his friends helped him to believe in himself, he was strong, and didn’t need that “fantasy” for the time being. But when he felt helpless again? He needed that hammer, and needed to feel strong against the “Jutul threat”. Maybe he had a lawsuit that could stand in for the hammer, people certainly could be weary. The woman Magne found was the best example that Jutul Industries neglected their (former) workers. Maybe even after the death of the woman they had an ongoing lawsuit, up until it either got maybe dissolved, left for the time being or something else happened. Magne “lost” his weapon in the Fjord and the Jutuls had the hammer for a short moment, maybe the offered compensation in the “real world” and the family of the woman thought about accepting? Magne regained the hammer but got a reality check.
Wotan’s/Odin’s reality check: Wotan took Magne out of the escalating situation before more people could get hurt. He forced Magne to come back to himself and realize why he was behaving like he did. It is the point that finally brought Magne to himself, to understand while the death of Isolde, his fear to have disappointed her, it was what fed the pseudo reality into what it was festering into. That he needed to come back to the “real” world. It is why he, even if we expected the fight to happen, he finally let it go. He forgave himself, the Jutuls (to an extent), and let it, and symbolic the hammer with its power, go. Because, and that is why we see the fight in the pseudo-reality in the last episode, he has to move forward at some point, and not loose himself and the others forever.
Thor’s death: Thor needed to die for Magne to life. Magne finally found his way out, and realized that he had escaped into a wrong reality. Thor had to die, so Magne could become himself. He was a young man about to graduate from school, and had scared the girl he lived away with how he behaved. We are how Ragnarok plays out, how Thor does, but Magne lives and ends it with throwing the comics away. He no longer needs to flee reality and was ready to rebuild his relationship and strengthen those he made on his way to recovery.
Thor dies so Magne could life.

v mild spoilers for dressrosa, novel law
i was just thinking about how Law has lived the past 13 years 100% selflessly. it was all to avenge corazon. everything. what about medicine? i don't doubt he likes it but what part of him actually did it for himself? what if he pursues medicine because he wholeheartedly believes that it's his only purpose and the only thing he's good at?
i believe that he's always feared failure just like the most, if not all of us. but he had a big headstart in medicine so it was easy to cover up and further develop his reputation. i know he has a hobby, thus has done some self exploration, but he's undeniably a very tragic character.
speaking of tragic: death follows him whether he likes it or not. maybe that's another reason? maybe he's just gravely afraid to lose anyone else. fuck dude, he's notoriously written to be taking cases with a ridiculously low chance of success. penguin with his arm blown off?? he reattached it. wolf who almost killed himself on accident testing a paraglider he made for law? almost passed out of exhaustion but made it. luffy after marineford? don't even get started on that one. he was even seen drinking in one of the shots after surgery, possibly giving us an itty-bitty hint of uncertainty breaking through his cutthroat demeanor.

(personally i like them a lot less than in botw and the avatars are straight up annoying, i always activate them on accident while trying to catch a bug or something so i just disable them altogether)
so far i only have tulin and riju's avatars (i keep putting off going to the other two races. sorry everyone, there are pics in need of snapping!)
i use tulin's tornado (not sure if it has an official name other than "vow of tulin", so i'm using the name tulin came up with in AOC) all the time to speed up my paragliding, so it's useful. i just wish it had more power to it, or lasted just a bit longer. when i gathered four wills of sages i expected them to upgrade this ability, but instead it made his headshots deal more damage. which i guess... is useful as well. his shots are SUPER effective. thank you tulin, very cool
(speaking of the sages' wills... why are they just scattered in random places throughout the sky islands? simply being kept in chests in the most unnassuming of places? there should've been some kind of trials at least... but with how boring most of the puzzles in this game have been, maybe not)
it's been a while since i've played botw (tho i have been replaying it bit by bit as of recent), let alone used the champions' abilities. but i do remember using revali's gale as often as i do tulin's tornado. i definitely miss it at times. while there are many creative ways to get yourself to a higher level (first being link's new ability, ascend; then using the ancient zonai devices; being sent into the sky by the skyview towers and gliding yourself towards your destination; or something as simple as starting a fire and throwing in a pine cone to create a bootleg revali's gale), there are times in which revali's gale would've been much quicker and effective
i think riju's power (hmm what should it be called... riju's rage?) is on par with urbosa's fury, but still not quite on her level. the field of lightning in urbosa's fury deals damage to everyone within that circle, while riju's only deals damage wherever you choose to shoot an arrow. it can also be kinda annoying waiting for the field of lightning to reach the monsters i want to zap, especially since riju LOVES to run the other way most of the time, but other than that it's great. i haven't upgraded it yet, so i hope it gets more powerful with the sages' wills, and not her scimitar attacks dealing more damage...
my main issue that i believe will become even worse as more sages join our team, is the fact that you activate their abilities with the A button, the action button, the one used to examine something, or pick up something, or talk to someone, etc... everytime i want to pick up materials left by monsters, tulin, that little shit, blows it all away down a cliff! compare that to the champions' powers, which each have their own buttons (except for mipha's grace): daruk's protection activates by holding down ZL, the button also used to focus/pull out your shield; urbosa's fury - by holding down Y, which is the attack button; and revali's gale - holding down the X button, also used for jumping. very thoughtful placements as you can see!
last thing. about the avatars... i understand that the sages are too busy to follow link themselves, especially riju, what with ber being a chief with so many responsibilities, which is why they've created these avatars to replace them. but i just wish they were a bit more emotive... idk. this isn't that serious lol but it would've been fun for them to act a little more real i guess, more like companions. i still love these soulless versions of my friends though <3

totk some spoilery thoughts
I'm really enjoying the game so far! I got the game later that Friday had to work the next day and playing it today. Still in the beginning but I've got the paraglider and some hylian gear. Work one of the great fairies and so forth.
Got two memories that definitely made me questions lore I suppose but we still have the rest of the game! I will say the caves really got me 👀 but paranoid. The one enemy they brought back and it HAD to be like likes 😩 I will say the many times I've accident killed myself just attaching shit to arrows and remembering too late not to stand to close.
Definitely made me use the bow more. It wasn't my go to actually lol I also had so many arrows and never know how to use them probably. KEY things so far, you cane get your HORSES 🐎 back! From BOTW I was so happy 😊 also the new tunes that link hums 🥺😔🤘 🥹 I just luv cooking just to hear different ones. He's sounds so proud of himself everytime he fuses weapons 🤣 I don't link the them walking trees, first rocks now trees 😞
BUT bokblins with armor had me stunned for a few minutes when I was making my way to Gordon city. I was expecting to lure them in the water but then they got in and they were fine 😭 then I noticed smh. Tulin is such a cutie I started over in the herba region and I have to go back cause I ran out of supplies. But I'm close it whatever is hidden in the sky.
But those are some thoughts 😌 might make some art lol

https://www.newyorker.com/culture/infinite-scroll/how-social-media-abdicated-responsibility-for-the-news
X, formerly known as Twitter, has, under the ownership of Elon Musk, dismantled its content-moderation staff, throttled the reach of news publications, and allowed any user to buy blue-check verification, turning what was once considered a badge of trustworthiness on the platform into a signal of support for Musk’s regime. Meta’s Facebook has minimized the number of news articles appearing in users’ feeds, following years of controversy over the company’s role in spreading misinformation. And TikTok, under increased scrutiny in the United States for its parent company’s relationship with the Chinese government, is distancing itself from news content. A little over a decade ago, social media was heralded as a tool of transparency on a global scale for its ability to distribute on-the-ground documentation during the uprisings that became known as the Arab Spring. Now the same platforms appear to be making conflicts hazier rather than clearer. In the days since Hamas’s attacks, we’ve seen with fresh urgency the perils of relying on our feeds for news updates.
An “algorithmically driven fog of war” is how one journalist described the deluge of disinformation and mislabelled footage on X. Videos from a paragliding accident in South Korea in June of this year, the Syrian civil war in 2014, and a combat video game called Arma 3 have all been falsely labelled as scenes from Israel or Gaza. (Inquiries I sent to X were met with an e-mail reading, “Busy now, please check back later.”) On October 8th, Musk posted a tweet recommending two accounts to follow for information on the conflict, @WarMonitors and @sentdefender, neither of which is a formal media company, but both are paid X subscribers. Later that day, after users pointed out that both accounts regularly post falsities, Musk deleted the recommendation. Where Twitter was once one of the better-moderated digital platforms, X is most trustworthy as a source for finding out what its owner wants you to see.
