it’s so funny keeping my friends who have NEVER ONCE talked abt dream updated on the situation now that he’s face revealed and it was everywhere. i’ve had to tell them i was a “casual dream fan” :|
#they’re normal abt it#but also like. how do i explajn to them#that while i don’t SUPER keep up with the guy i do regularly lurk in the fandom#and have at least. some parasocial attachment to him considering how happy i am for him n the rest of the gang#sidenote fuck twitter for giving the word parasocial the gaslight treatment#parasocial =/= unhealthy. our brains just didn’t consider media when they came up with socialization that’s it#anyways. i told one of my friends like ‘yea i’m a casual fan just bc i watch mc.yt (dodging tags) haha’#she was like ‘yeah fair.’#anyways i KNOW they’re gonna want to see all the absurd fucking snapchats#but i feel like they need the context of ‘i think this guy is cool’#but how do i. tell them that. without my friend who is also lowkey a bully (love her she’s just mean) to not IMMEDIATELY call me cringe for#also just. fear of telling ppl u like drm and them hating him and trying to start an argument with you over things he either didn’t do#or has apologized for and grown from#SIGHHHHH . ah well#i just. i NEED to show them the florida sign and the walmart pet pictures. and maybe the whorification one. and a few others#i just gotta find a way to actually do it. it’ll probs be easier if i tell the mean friend over text bc she’s nicer over text#(she prides herself on her alter egos and i’m p sure her general public persona is a mean girl. but she’d punch someone for me so we r good)
