Whew!! Okay!! There!!!!! My writing year in review. I ramble a bit more here, but if you don’t want to read too much - thank you for being here, and thank you for giving my stories a chance in your lives. Your time is precious, and I hope every time its been spent somewhere here, it’s been happily worth it. Happy new year, friends. I hope it’s kind to you!

It’s the end of the month!! And the year!! But I’ll write about my year in a sec. Let’s stick to December for now :> More rambles here!

 Surprise! If you haven’t already seen @ninjaduelist‘s post, we’re doing a big event to celebrate our third Patreon anniversaries! It’s a collaboration between me, Ninjaduelist...and you!

The event will go on for three months. Essentially, all of our patrons are going to help us create characters from the ground up, and write their story! April will be all about character creation. Our patrons will help Ninjaduelist design the characters - so we’ll be able to see what they could look like right from the start! As we get a better idea of who they are, we'll be asking our patrons what kind of story you would love to see between them. We’ll be doing all of this through Google Forms, and a couple of livestreams :>

Basically, our schedule looks like:

Character Design Poll: April 3 - April 15

Character Design Stream (Ninjaduelist's Channel): April 23 or 30th (dependent on poll responses)

Story Poll: May 1 - May 15

Story Writing Period: May 16 - June 30 (open depending on story complexity!)

Story Stream (My Channel): May 20th, 2PM EST & June 16, 2PM EST

You can join either of our Patreons for as little as $1 a month, and we’d love to have you! I can’t sing Ninjaduelist‘s praises enough, if you’ve been here long enough, you are very much used to this. I’m on her patreon; there is so much gorgeous art on there, you can vote on what you want to see and watch timelapses - all sorts of goodies. I can’t tell you how fun it is to get the little postcards in the mail :’)

As for my Patreon, we currently have a Choose-Your-Own Adventure Event going on through the month of April - all possible routes will be posted by the end of the month, but you can vote on which route you’d like to read first. I have all the details up here! We do lots of events like that. I also post a section of my ongoing WIP novel on the 28th of every month :>

Wow! Friends! What a busy month!! I don't know where it's gone at all. We jumped right in from one event to the next on over on Patreon, and I'm all in on writing our Anniversaryx3 story as we speak - which is in celebration of the third anniversary of my Patreon, and will be up next month. I can’t believe it’s been three years already! That's such a big milestone!! I'm going to get all ramble-y and grateful if I don't rein it in - next month! I'll get all teary-eyed in June :> (But just know I have so much love for everyone who supports me in any way you can and am so happy and grateful to be able to do this!)

But I digress! this month, we ran the plot survey for our Anniversaryx3 event, our big collaboration with @ninjaduelist​! We finalized some things about our characters and created a whole lot of new ones! We have the names, we have the world, we have the basis of their relationship, and I'm taking it from there. Check out the pictures if you’re interested in meeting Aki & Silas!

A whole lot of that was established over on our stream, so thank you so much to those of you that could make it!! I'm still not used to writing with an audience, but it's so fun when I get you all involved. I'd love to do it more often. Alongside all that, we still had our regularly scheduled Forest section (this time with Fae and Lola!), I posted some of my favourite words as prompts, asked for two different ideas, posted up some rough notes for this month's section of The Forest, and went on a big ramble about all the things that help me write. I also got a new puppy! Not writing related, but!!! Lots to be excited about this month :>

Hi hello I’m summarizing my month on Patreon once again :> It went by super fast (again) but I’m working on a million things at once (okay, maybe like. seven) and I’m super happy to have gotten everything done. We had a cozy bit of Fae and Lola in the Forest, some fun first meeting misunderstanding prompts in the Daydreams, wood elf families in Ideas, more Forest fun in the Sketches, and deep conversations over in the Drafting Table. I’m also running some quality of life polls to check what people want in the ideas tier, and how we’re arranging our list of stories - I’ve already added a couple of different sorting systems, but it looks like I’ll add more. Plus I had a little stream of The Forest over on Twitch  - which you can still see over there, if you’re curious. Twitch deletes them eventually, but if you’re in The Drafting Table tier, I give you access to a Google Drive with all the recordings of all streams :>

Also!! Big news!! We hit 30 patrons!!!!!!! That was one of our goals - which means we get to commission @ninjaduelist!! We’ll be commissioning a scene from one of my stories, but which one it will be is up to my patrons!! So if you want to tell Megan what to draw, come join!!! 😁

Lastly...we have a new event coming next month! I'll be posting the details tomorrow over on Patreon (which you can follow for free to see public posts! I post open writing there too!), but I’m doing everything I can to make it super fun and interactive. It’s been my goal this year to give you all something to look forward to as often as I can, and these events are very much part of that :>

Hey friends!! I’m a little late on June’s monthly summary this time around, but it was a super busy month, so I hope you’ll bear with me :>

A little late, but better than never! I spent most of my month writing Kindred, our Anniversaryx3 Event fic! If you didn’t see it yesterday, I posted up the first scene on here, so you can check it out for free if you’d like :) It was a ton of work, but it was a really fun event to do, and I'd love to do something like it again! It was so fun to get ideas (especially live on stream!! loved that) and I really loved being able to work with Ninjaduelist (but you all know that already, haha). The whole event ended up lasting through May to June, with an outline that went pretty much like this: character design survey --> Ninjaduelist stream --> finalized character designs --> plot survey --> writing streams 1 & 2 --> final story. I definitely learned a lot about the time I need to incorporate a lot of ideas into a plot that makes sense, haha! But it was delightful, and I’m so happy I ended up being able to do it. 36k words in a month and a half is pretty big for me!

We also got a little further in The Forest, meeting another new character (finally!). Over in The Daydreams, we put up some pretty introspective prompts, we talked about alternate universes over in The Ideas, put up a whole bunch of my Kindred brainstorming and deleted bits in The Sketches, and talked all about unreliable narrators in The Drafting Table. It was our third year anniversary, so I tried to go all out in as many areas as I could. And since it’s been that, I’m feeling all sentimental and nostalgic, so I want to give a little thank you here, too. I already rambled at my patrons already, but to those who have my notifications on, or always like my posts, or comment all the time or just quietly read my stories and enjoy them on your own - thank you. I’m writing more than ever, and all it’s making me want to do is write even more. I want to be able to do it forever, and even though there might come a time where it’s not sustainable anymore - I’m grateful to have come this far. I’ll keep trying as hard as I can.

TL;DR - lots of love from me. I love telling stories :) See you around for the next ones!

Phew, what a year! I tried to do a lot more new stuff, and a lot more fun stuff. I’ve attempted to look back on more than just word counts here, so it’s a little messy :> But this year has been busy & chaotic, and I’m grateful to have been able to write as much as I have. I couldn’t have done it without you all, so thank you!
