I'll set four must-read books at the beginning of each month, one from each category: fiction or nonfiction pre-1950, 1950-2000, 2000+, and feminist nonfiction. All female writers. You pick one (or more) from the list to read that month.

After purchasing Said the Black Horse, may I have it printed and bound? Just one personal copy, not for sale. There's something about the tactile feeling of books that makes me happy.

I actually have a book-formatted pdf with a full new cover ready to go and I've already ordered a single copy for myself (it will take some time to get here but you'll know when it does because I'll post about it). If it looks good I can make it more widely available.

In the meantime I'm 100% cool with you using the book pdf you get on kofi to print a personal copy using like your own printer or local in-person service but I would rather you didn't upload it to any online self-printing services. Also be aware that there are images at the back of the pdf so you might want to cut those out before printing.

Saw a poll where pdf was beating epub 75% to 25% what the hell ever. Pdf sucks clearly you people have never gone on zlibrary book downloading binges where the glory of epubs hold your hand and allow you to change the font size and everything, meanwhile pdf spits in your face if you dare to read it on mobile.

The wooden floorboards creek and croak under the clickety clack of your newly acquired gilded leather boots as you make your way up to the deck, over vast hordes of fortune, past engorged piles of gold and spice, doubloons and silks, navigating mazes of stacked chests brimming with books and boundless scrolls. You tip- toe around your comatose crewmates, satiated by plunder and ransacked stores of rum, to the mast of your ship, and look out onto the horizon.

Heliotrope hues of dusk creep up behind the melting sunset, calming the raging gusts of the sea to caresses of the breeze. Wisps of ghostly silver swirl hazily amongst sporadic speckles of spangling starlight like a stewing soup in the sky, its delicate marbling mirrored on waves that twinkle under the moonlight. Skull and crossbones whip in the wind and the ship rocks lazily as if lulled to sleep by the cradle of the sloping sea. You sigh, contented, and pray to avoid a watery grave for many moons to come.

I always thought those BDMV releases on nyaa where worthless because I figured it was just for people who wanted to convert the Blu-ray rip into individual mkv files, but I just realized I can right click the folder and play it in VLC and and it acts like your computer is actually playing a Blu-ray. It even has menu navigation......... I was such a fool.

good news: project gutenburg has a very quick and easy way to save ebooks directly to my kindle, so i will have plenty to read on the plane tomorrow!

bad news: i have downloaded about 70 ebooks, plus the miscellaneous pdfs i had already put on there including multiple oft-recommended fanfics of 50k+ words each, and i am... probably going to be overwhelmed by choice and start and stop multiple books
