Her name was Samiya and she was brutally stabbed in the neck and chest before she was taken to a New York hospital with her sister Sanyia (who had been stabbed in the arm), where she did not survive her injuries from her neck and chest. These sisters were just at a store, and this predator FOLLOWED them after he was rejected and attacked them. He waited for them -and he's still not caught. This is just absolutely horrifying.
Misogyny fuels violence against women -and this very clear epidemic is killing young girls and women.
I cannot imagine the degree of entitlement you think you have to anyone's time and bodies- that anyone could hold that much disdain for rejection, and is okay with exerting power, control, and violence upon another person because YOUR ego is bruised. Fuck toxic masculinity and dismantle the patriarchy until it burns to the ground because I'm so sick of seeing this.
I wish all the best to the family and loved ones of Samiya. This young teenager should still be here. And I hope the man who did this gets apprehended and faces endless misery and misfortune in his lifetime.

honestly you probably shouldn't go into the medical profession if you aren't prepared to treat patients with dignity and respect - even if your job exploits you, even if your bosses suck, even if you're exhausted.
yes, you are allowed to have feelings and be tired. but you have to be willing and able to either admit when you can't do something (and take the consequences), or put how you feel aside and do your job. for the sake of your patient.
you and your job may be harmed by the medical industrial complex's wrongness, but to your patients, you are part of the complex that is also gravely failing them. you have the power to be a force of goodwill and care, or an instrument of oppression.
that is what you're signing up for when you become a medical professional. don't like it? don't become a medical professional.

Let me get up on my soapbox rq.
STOP ERASING BLACK CHARACTERS FROM FANDOMS 👏👏👏👏
I see those goddamn writers replacing Gaz with Konig and I swear my blood turns hotter than the equator in July. KONIG AINT EVEN IN THE DAMN CAMPAIGN?!?! How ironic, the only black character gets erased and replaced with a white one. Also all the Gaz fics I’ve read always has him cheating or being a druggie. I smell stereotypes. Why do we as a society feel the need to erase black people from our culture? Not to mention, erasure of all POC’s. For example, in law and order SVU, every one of the damn Latino/latina characters get their fucking lives destroyed and go to jail and whatever, but the white girls commit felonies on girls trips and get their wrists slapped and go back to “desk duty”. How fucking blind are we as a society?? The erasure is actually wild to me.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

The same men who deny women their reproductive rights are mortally terrified of having their own reproductive rights violated.
They're terrified by the idea of a "crazy girlfriend" who pokes holes in condoms or lies about being on birth control in order to "baby trap" them into marriage or child support.
They're horrified by the idea that someone could use them and their bodies without regard for their rights or opinions. That they could be denied control over whether they want to have a child or not. That someone could force them to become a parent and they would have no say in the matter. They're never shamed for these fears.
The assertion that one should have control over their reproductive rights is only considered valid when it comes from a male.

🗣️
I WAS NOT MY MOTHER’S ENEMY BEFORE MY BIRTH.
🗣️
MY CHILDREN WERE NOT MY ENEMIES BEFORE THEIR BIRTH.
🗣️
GENERATIONS ARE SIMULTANEOUSLY OPPRESSED BY A SYSTEM THAT DEVALUES MOTHERS, CHILDREN, AND THE UNIQUE ECOLOGY THEY SHARE AS BONDED INDIVIDUALS.
🗣️
IF YOU WANT TO HELP THE WOMEN OF TOMORROW, STOP EXCUSING THEIR DEATHS IN THE WOMB TO ENABLE THE OPPRESSION OF A SYSTEM THAT HATES US FOR EXISTING.
🗣️
IF YOU WANT TO HELP THE WOMEN OF TODAY, STOP TELLING THEM THAT LEGAL CHILD KILLING IS THEIR ONLY ANSWER TO RESIST OPPRESSION AND MAKE REAL CHANGES IN OUR WORLD.
🗣️
THE SYSTEM WILL ONLY BE BURNED TO DUST IF YOU STOP ENABLING THE UNJUST KILLING OF TOMORROW’S ACTIVISTS.
🗣️
THE SYSTEM WILL ONLY CHANGE WHEN WE NO LONGER BASE THE FOUNDATION OF WOMEN’S RIGHTS ON THE INDUSTRY OF CHILD KILLING.
🗣️
IF YOU CONTINUE TO PIT WOMEN AND CHILDREN AGAINST ONE ANOTHER IN A SYSTEM THAT BENEFITS FROM THIS FALSE WAR, THEN YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.
🗣️
WOMEN AND CHILDREN ARE NOT ENEMIES. STOP SCAPEGOATING FEMALE BIOLOGY AND CHILDREN TO BENEFIT A SYSTEM THAT DEPENDS ON YOUR INTERNALIZED ANTI-NATALISM AND SEXISM TO THRIVE.

The video itself is jarring.

Had this happened in America, you'd say this is brutality and an abuse of power.
You cannot expect Palestinians to coexist with this.

Thin people aren't allowed to complain because there literally isn't systemic oppression of thin people.
Are you able to fit in one seat on a train or plane without issues and struggles?
Yes? Then STFU.
I, a midsized person, may be somewhat uncomfortable because I just happen to be tall with long legs. But I can manage, albeit a bit cramped the whole time for want of more leg room.
But I've seen fat people who have to buy an extra plane or train ticket because the seats are just too fucking narrow.
This world favors thin people and hates fat people. The end.

This is beyond heartbreaking.
Do people still not understand the gravity of this? I often think of one of the interviews that Bassem Youssef did with Piers Morgan -when Bassem responded to Piers' 'reflection' about a "proportional response" to the October 7th event, and Bassem replied with a story to highlight the disproportionate amount of systemic violence Palestinian people have and continue to face.
Bassem gave an example similar to this young boy's here about a young man losing everything -from his home and his family members. And Palestinian people are STILL expected to remain silent/to accept this unilateral oppression. So Bassem asks Piers what exactly is a 'proportional response' to violence?
There was also another interview did (if I recall correctly -it was a podcast), and Bassem then relates similar stories to the one I just mentioned above -as how young boys and later young adults are recruited in Hamas because the IOF has destroyed parts of their communities and has humiliated and killed their loved ones, and then, in turn, are labelled terrorists by many people/world leaders around the globe...
I don't think many can begin to comprehend what this little boy, and so many Palestinian children are going through right now. It's beyond horrific to see these barely five year olds begging and asking the world not to look away and to stop the 'war' so that they can go home. For anyone still silent about this, you're part of the problem and you're equally complicit.

i want justice for all disabled people. i want us to be able to live freely, to be loved, to have rights, to not be hurt and discarded. i want a better world for us all so deeply. this includes you, whether you think you deserve goodness or not. a life free of oppression is not something to be deserved in the sense of needing to do something to be worthy of it. you inherently need it. you have an inherent right to this and i am sorry we don't live in a better world. but one day we will. we have to.

Why are some transfems against transmascs having the term transandrophobia. Aren't they also being oppressed by it?
Like, I'm a transdude that constantly gets confused by a trans girl in the street, so I get a lot of misdirected TRANSMISOGINY thrown my way. That's an example of how the oppression of another group affects me even tho I don't belong to it. Doesn't that also happen to transfems on the same token? Isn't oppression about how our oppressors perceive us instead of how we see ourselves?
I've had Latino indigenous friends with monolid eyes get sinophobia thrown at them. That doesn't make them chinese. aboriginal Australians get anti black racism thrown at them too.
Like, if terfs see trans women as men. Isn't that a form of androphobia too? Because they're projecting their fears of men onto someone who isn't one...ON TOP OF BEING ALSO TRANSMISOGNIY
Does this make sense?
