As a writer and a weird flavor of neurodivergent I am sometimes faced with the joke “The ideas that were too good to forget so you didn’t write them down” joke, the unfortunate irony of this joke for me is that anytime I write an idea down to make sure I “don’t forget it” it immediately leaves my brain and I no longer remember that idea. I have at least two characters who have completely different last names from their original creation because I wrote it down and promptly my brain decided the information was no longer important or necessary to remember. Anyways sometimes don’t write things down and figure out what helps, because my brain will delete files.
