#yes unfortunately we have to have a blacklist at this point of people not allowed to order anymore #this was actually *more* of an issue back in the day when i was selling handmade crocheted plushies lol #but like explain to me why this has happened with more than one person at this point:#they buy something #then a week or two later they email us/post/leave a review saying how much they hate it and we suck and that they want to return it #then they never send the thing back #continue to go on about how mad they are about it #still never send it back #then they TRY TO BUY ANOTHER THING????#what is that about #was it just wanting the first thing for free? like trying to bully us into letting you keep it for free??? i don't get it #if you hate it so much why would you order again ????????#anyway #do this and your order will 100% be canceled #pls never return #thankfully this only applies to like 3 people currently haha #vs the dozen person long etsy blacklist i had for plushies #lots of people wanted them for free or at least i suspect that was what was going on.... it was the wild west out there #exhausting

A new sculpture! Finally... I feel like I never sculpt anymore since I'm always sick or have some 500 other things going on or projects to finish, but I'm trying to schedule time to do it more often this year hopefully..! Just a generic fantasy creature as usual, but did try making the eyes a little more sparkly this time.. hrmm..

I did still want to sell them through auction instead of agonizing #over setting prices being afraid they're either too high or too low. So being able to just be like. Here. this is $50. or more. or less.#negotiate. the worth is whatever you feel like it is so i personally dont have to make that decision. etc. lol... But etsy doesn't let you #do auctions or like pay what you want type stuff so.. then I was thinking ebay? but idk.. ANYWAY.. I want to set things #up so I can sell stuff again hopefully. I still haven't fully recovered from the costs of when I had to take my cat to the vet and put #them down last year and etc. So it'd be good to sell a few things. perhaps.. maychance... perhamble... so on and so forthe... ANYWAY #I was going for whiter more milky sort of hair that blends in closely with the skintone but after the paint dried it seems more yellowy kin #of. which is fine. But just not exacltly like my mind vision lol..#Also it's like... wow... someone with face spots and elf ears and a half open mouth with a gap tooth and wavy hair and kind of downturned #eyes... revolutionary... never been seen before... every sculpture I have ever made surely doesnt look licherally exactly like this... LOL #but maybe it's just a style. so what. People have their motifs lol.. Im just getting back into sculpting. I shall sameface in peace. huzzah #Just like the only thing I ever carve out of avocado pits anymore is eyes. Because that's just whats fun to do. I'm going to accumulate lik #25 similar avocado eyes and have nothing to do with them. I was thinking of stringing some together into a necklace of eyes or something li #like that but.. hrmm... ANYWAY.. Love to do the same things repetitively. :3c

at the moment, and for the foreseeable future i am saying no. just because there are copies of ahb! circulating around SEVERAL websites and vendors being sold for oodles and oodles of dollars. despite my requests for the sellers to stop.

i have had people (etsy vendors) in the past lie to me and say they've made "too many personal handbound copies and are only selling those extra ones" which ,,, was obviously a lie. also they were getting the copies through lulu and selling them just btw.

i have also had people tell me that they are binding them and selling them to others for personal use but not making profit off of them even though they're selling art heist for over $100 a book. so. yeah. another lie

so, sorry! but yeah!! there's not much i can do about people actually listening to me and respecting my wishes etc etc and lord knows they don't, but i would super appreciate it if we kept ahb! an ao3 exclusive for now!

it just makes me feel slightly better to put more rules and boundaries in place! though it's never stopped people in this fandom from bulldozing right through those anyway :/

#small business #washi tape #portal 2 #infinity train #the owl house #etsy #support small business #there were sticky notes! they dont stick very good. they kinda have a couple problems. im still talkin it thru with my manu as of queueing #the print is ok - the print is great actually! they just dont. stick. and that's one thing #but they leave just a liiiitttle bit of sticky residue on the Next notepad in the stack #and you can see it #and it sticks just a little bit on the front of that next note. like 1/10 sticky; MAYBE 2/10 if ur unlucky.#if you tend to washi-tape your notes up anyway it's probably fine but im not sure what i'll do with them yet #but i have Two Hundred of them so uhhhhh #i'm thinking i'll sell them at a big discount. because they're still pretty ok as memo pads! but i have to see what my manu decides to do #which is such a shame because they LOOK really really really cool!!!!!! they just dont Sticky good #but also i have people buy seconds all the time and say 'i dont even know whats wrong with this' so i wonder if #my standards are way too high and people really would be ok buying these for like 50% off or something #hrmmmm. send dms/replies/asks (anons on) if you have any opinions #im hearing from other shop owners that generally unless its officially post-it brand it doesnt stick very well #but custom print post its are very expensive OTL so i think for now i'll just make non-stick post its in the future #the washis are beautiful and perfect though. i love the washis. beautiful perfect flawless tapes. they even have stickers on the side!!

I am vending at a gaming/anime/fandom convention in Nov. and I have to create a bunch of sticker designs for the event!! I need to make sure I can order them in time T-T

I'm trying to do a play on "God's Favorite" for BG3; the gold color on Shar's will be gold foil hot stamped and the white on Selune's will all be silver foil hot stamped. I'm trying to think of others to do? I'm thinking of Vlaakith and maybe Mizora and Raphel?

I am doing a bunch of Sanrio characters in metal logos, I have Cinnamoroll, Keroppi, and Pochacco on my to-do list. They'll all have a glitter finish on top when they are printed!

Been busy with these so haven't done much sims. (ʃᵕ̩̩ ᵕ̩̩)

going to get a little controversial here lol one sec

i'm seeing a lot of people high-horse posting about how tumblr isn't just an advertising platform but a real social media, where you have to interact with people in order to get clicks and ~socialize~ and ~be genuine~, and i just wanna say that that's all well and good but also nobody here is particularly interested in supporting their fave creators monetarily. a lot of folks don't reblog any self-promo at all. almost all of my commissions or kofi support have come from twitter, where the culture is different--fandom there has cultivated a system where folks just kinda pass along money in a big old circle of commissions and art requests and merch. i think it's actually really cool when fanartists and fanfic authors can be compensated! i genuinely wish tumblr would cultivate more positive vibes about that sort of thing. i'm broke as a joke 99% of the time but whenever i have a little extra cash (usually from the aforementioned comms, lmao) i like to pass it along to the patreons of my fave artists or buy sketch commissions. practice what i preach and all that

#chinhands. i think there's something to be said about people being skittish about paying artists and writers and expecting them to do #like. specific requests for free #idk it's just an observation that twt folks are more cavalier about putting money into fandom than on tumblr #which has little to nothing to do with how much you 'socialize' on either platform frankly #i really think tumblr is hostile to self promo and the idea of monetizing fandom creations #which. let me tell you. in a landscape where 90% of creators never even get to monetize their work #and parasites like to steal fanfics to bookbind and sell on etsy or to be on their ai reading app or just straight up scrape your shit #i think it would be cool. you know. to make it more normal to tip your faves if you have the ability to do so #shrugs
