Notice how Percy and Jason are like HEAD over heels for their girls whenever they're covered in soot/dirt?? It seems to be a turn on for both of them 😭 Like Percy calling Annabeth hot when she was covered in dirt in tartarus, saying that it made her look badass, and Jason saying that Piper was the most beautiful thing he's ever laid eyes on when she was completely covered in mud, her hair was tousled and was missing a boot. Also, calling her cute when she was in her two days clothes.

Both of them had seen their girls in a much better state (Piper getting claimed by Aphrodite and getting all fancy, Annabeth dressed in a pretty Greek dress in sea of monsters) Yet they both prefer their disheveled/dirty looks better.

for all the love i hold for the original pjo books, i absolutely refuse to read the new “fun” low stakes trilogy. for me, the last olympian was peak percy & annabeth characterisations and nothing since then has hit the spot exactly right––it’s all just been going downhill thereon. so, no, i don’t want to partake in the whimsical short stories, not if these characters aren’t thoughtfully written anymore and not if the previously built lore is not respected by the author himself.
