anyways here are some headcanons i have for percy's appearance

crooked nose, has been reset more than once

he tries to slick his hair back but it doesn't cooperate that way. it's got enough of a curl to it that it doesn't like to stay in place. post-campiagn he grows it out.

he's got a little gap in his teeth. just because i say so

he blew a hole through his left hand & lost two fingers from it. he wears a prosthetic ( was thinking about there being some lore flavor about the fingers not being able to be grown back bcs he lost them with the list but we'll see )

the prosthetic is diplomacy. it can hold electric charges which he can use in a fight. percy's got scars all of his arm from misfires with his prosthetic. he could have probably gotten healed, but never asked for help

he wears his coats to hell & back. the collar is always lined with fur because otherwise, he enters Sensory Despair

he is 6'3", also because i say so

he generally wears gloves if the weather permits

Percy gets a million new scars after glintshore. that air elemental picking up all the glass shards really did a number on him ( among so many other things )

if you push his hair around you can see where anna ripley put a bullet through his skull

most of the time he's got painted nails though they chip easily because of the nature of his work

his eyes are the Greenest Green it's almost unnatural. when he was younger they were a more natural shade but after taking warlock abilities from orthax there is a visual effect on them

The day Percival discovers sleeveless hoodies is a wonderful day for him bc then whenever someone (Leon (concerned) or Arthur (slutshaming)) yells at him to put on a sweater it's the dead of winter he can put on his sleeveless hoodie and watch the hope drain from their eyes

thank you for this ask, it is absolutely wonderful, and i'm sorry it's taken so long to get to it but i wanted to do it justice because y e s percival is the biggest shit of them all 💕

Having been around for nearly two thousand years, Merlin had remarkable instincts when it came to fashion. Well, remarkable in Percival’s eyes at least. Then again, this was the same person whom he'd witnessed rock up to court for a meeting in one of Gwen's dresses because they had been bitter about not having a good enough garb as court sorcerer. (Apparently after ten years of wearing the same thing, Merlin had been hoping for a bit of variety.) (The conversation that had followed between him, Gwen, and Leon had been very entertaining to witness.) (It had resulted in Merlin being able to keep the dress.)

Merlin had (regrettably in their eyes, thankfully in everyone else's) taken Gwaine and Lancelot out shopping, mainly so they would both stop stealing his clothes, and, when they had returned, had beckoned Percival upstairs when the rest of the group was fussing over dinner plans. When Percival had followed them upstairs, Merlin had revealed a paper bag with a dramatic flourish and handed it to Percival, who had taken one look at the contents and grinned broadly.

Percival was still grinning three months later, in the middle of December, on the verge of being about to completely destroy Leon and Arthur.

As Gwen struggled to zip up a coat with a ridiculous number of zips, Lancelot and Gwaine fought over a tartan duffel coat, and Elyan stuffed himself into a puffer jacket that matched Arthur's, Percival folded his arms and leaned against the wall of the hallway in nothing but jeans and a tank top. Merlin was shrugging on a woollen trench coat over their hoodie and Leon, having just entered after checking the back door, was informing the warlock that he hadn't yet tied the laces of their Doc Martens. Percival was just waiting for the avalanche of 'it's the middle of winter, put some more clothes on' (Leon) and 'you'll be getting your tits out next, which is something none of us want to see' (Arthur) and 'I do' (Elyan) that would come barrelling his way as soon as his attire was noticed.

Merlin flamboyantly finished securing his laces and hastily got involved in the fight going on between their partners, successfully delaying a confrontation with Percival’s naked arms for a further two minutes as Leon extracted a second duffel coat. Arthur, having perfected the art of ignoring the shenanigans of Gwaine and Lancelot over one and a half thousand years, was not so easily distracted.

'Percival’s whoring himself again!' he declared, pointing at Percival in an overtly accusatory manner.

Leon dropped the duffel coat and rounded on Percival. 'For fuck's sake, Percy, put a jumper on at least, it's three degrees outside and we're going ice skating.'

'The ice is plastic though, isn't it?' Percival challenged, quirking an eyebrow.

Now Leon rounded on Merlin. 'Do one thousand five hundred years of constant companionship really mean that little to you?'

Merlin, who had been in the middle of helping Gwaine secure the fastenings on his duffel coat, looked up. 'I don't have the faintest idea what you're talking about, Leon.'

'I was doing research into ice rinks,' Gwen chimed in. 'Percy was watching Midsomer Murders in the same room and I was talking out loud.'

There was a collective murmur of confirmation at the habit of Gwen reciting an entire Wikipedia page to anyone who had the misfortune to be I the vicinity.

'I never did find out who did murder everyone,' Percival sadly said.

'Which episode was it?' asked Lancelot, who had binged an entire series with Elyan one stormy night.

'The one with the bees.'

'Oh, that one! Yeah, the murderer was--'

'Spoilers!' Percival cried.

'It's Midsomer Murders,' Elyan reasoned, shaking his head. 'It's not like Lancelot’s revealed that Darth Vader is actually Luke's father.'

Gwaine looked scandalised. 'He's what?'

'See, this is why you don't fall asleep during group movie nights,' Arthur broke in, staring pointedly at Gwaine.

'Yeah well at least I don't have a Luke Skywalker complex and almost fell in love with my sister--'

'I never loved Morgana like that, that's disgusting, I've never loved any woman but Gwen--'

'It is still three degrees outside,' Leon interrupted, voice cutting across the bubbling conflict. 'Percival, put a jumper on. Don't make me ask you again.'

Rolling his eyes, Percival stomped up the stairs in his walking boots, sending flakes of dry mud across the floorboards. 'I still say that frostbite is a hoax,' he darkly grumbled.

'Frostbite is not a hoax!'

Despite Leon's voice being joined by six other voices, Percival leaned over the bannister. He could take them all if he wanted to. 'I see your frostbite and raise you Ismere.'

'I see your exposed arms and raise you three fucking degrees,' Leon fired back.

Around Leon's body, Merlin winked at Percival, who put his hands up in mock surrender. 'Fine, fine, give me one minute.'

Leaving the others to finish wrapping up, Percival darted into his and Elyan's bedroom and plunged his hand into the paper bag Merlin had given him. Balling up the garment in his fist, he ran down the stairs and landed at the bottom with a decisive thud. Certain that all the attention was now on him, Percival unscrewed the item of clothing and maintained fierce eye contact with both Leon and Arthur as he dropped it over his head.

He slowly tightened the strings around the hood and watched in delight from his makeshift cave as Leon's face whitened, drinking in Percival’s brand-new sleeveless hoodie. 'I put on a jumper, can we go now?'

Arthur's jaw dropped. 'Leon, you can't seriously allow this--'

'Can we not have an argument about this again?' interrupted Gwen after a sharp elbow from Elyan. 'Percival has put on another layer and we're going to miss the booking--'

Arthur, however, was still indignant. 'It doesn't have sleeves. It is not a jumper.'

'Merlin, when you bought it, was it or was it not in the jumper section of whatever shop you got it from?' asked Percival, folding his still exposed arms.

'It was.'

Gwen and Elyan had glanced over their shoulders and were hurriedly trying to unlock the door. It became apparent why when Leon's voice cut sharply through the room.

'I am going to kill you, Merlin.'

'One of the drawbacks of immortality, I'm afraid,' Merlin cheerfully said, taking Lancelot’s and Gwaine’s hands and tugging them towards the door. 'It's rather difficult to kill me.'

Leon muttered something under his breath that only Percival caught. It was good to know that his arms were no longer the target of Leon's ruthless campaign.

Robin "Robbie" Fuller: The character i play in a DND campaign.

They're 22 years old and 5'9" (175cm)

Their birthday is November 12th. they're a scorpio

They started off as a Mundane MOTW character and they're now a level 7 warlock in DND. They're a human

They live in a small coastal town in massachusetts called Holyoak and they go to the local college to learn culinary. They live in a single dorm and they have a cute widdle black cat named Chickadee

One day (for various reasons) their life was flip-turned upside down with discovering the existence of monsters, portals, different dimensions, and rifts in spacetime

One of the reasons for them discovering all of this was them meeting a man named Thomas who's a human from a different dimension called the Palisades. He's a well-known Judge over there. (Thomas is @bevtastic 's character)

Robbie gets an offer to join the Interdimensional Defence Agency (IDA), says fuck it and accepts, and Robbie and Thomas stay friends by virtue of their similar jobs.

Robbie is tasked to go to a different dimension (A half-medieval half-wild west desert town called Argyle) to stop a threat that was growing there. Threat turned out to be a massive mind-controlling dragon who wanted revenge for the rest of her dragon species that were killed off by medieval "heroes". Robbie was not cut out for this as their first job. They (with help) subdue the dragon eventually but not before she burned down multiple towns including Argyle to a crisp. Robbie feels very bad about this.

Robbie, Thomas, and the rest of the party receive a mysterious letter leading them to an old abandoned mansion in Holyoak and get roped into a rescue mission to save Thomas's old friend Percy who has apparently been bodysnatched by a bad guy and trapped somewhere for what felt like thousands of years. This is the arc where we switched from Monster of the Week to DND, and Robbie gets connected to a nature deity Adelaide through a purple necklace. They also get a familiar, who is an owl with pitch-black feathers and glowing yellow pupilless eyes that Robbie named Mr. Muffins.

Robbie and Thomas become very good friends :)

Thomas dies.

Robbie goes to the Palisades to find out what happened to him. Turns out he wanted to reveal the secret of interdimensional travel to the public and work to make it open, free, and safe. The people in charge did not allow him to do this by legal means so he aimed to do it illegally, which was when he was murdered by a group of bandits.

On top of that, one of the main reasons why he wanted to reveal the different dimensions is because there is a HUGE interdimensional threat coming our way, and we need to act on it if we want to live.

Percy finds Robbie and asks them to help with this threat, who apparently is a singular person named Siris that has been locked in a prison for thousands of years and somehow got out. Robbie doesn't have much of a choice and accepts.

In the Palisades, there are monsters called Behemoths. they emerge from people who get bitten by a behemoth or who touch the black tar-like substance that runs like rivers in certain areas of the Palisades. During a battle, Robbie gets bitten by a Behemoth, and now they're a candidate for Behemism (aka turning into big giant monster syndrome).

Because Robbie has Behemism and Siris is part of the reason for Behemism existing, they're mind roommates now. Robbie and Siris do not get along very well.

There's more to Robbie but this is their main backstory!!!

Emile Azarel: A character i play in a different campaign that does MOTW.

He/him pronouns, he's trans, demisexual, and demiromantic.

He's 19 and he's 5'3

He doesn't know his actual birthday but the day he celebrates is January 23rd

His MOTW class is The Expert. He's a fire genasi

He was born in central Russia but he doesn't know his parents well because when he was ~8 months old there was a big monster attack that unfortunately killed his parents. A monster hunter named Avery Azarel found Emile, took him in and raised him.

Emile learned to hunt monsters with Avery and the two traveled around together as monster hunters.

Eventually Emile wished to have a solid place to live rather than constantly traveling, because he wanted friends. He found a town in the pacific northwest called Salmon Peak that had everything he wanted: Russian culture, a fairly small easy-to-get-around layout, and some very weird mysteries going on. (Just because Emile wanted to settle didnt mean he wanted to stop monster hunting!)

He moved to Salmon Peak and has met a bunch of new friends! He's also learning more and more about the town, which is turning out to be somehow even weirder than he expected.

Emile is a very sweet, polite boy, but considering the fact that he's only ever been around one person mainly for his entire life, he has a bit of a ways to go when it comes to interacting with people. The monster hunting life means that when there's a monster, you kill it and that usually solves all your problems. Emile has transferred this logic to people as well (if they're a monster, kill em!) and he's learning through friend influence that maybe human lives are a bit more sacred than that.

His favorite color is blue because he loves the sky!

A lot of people underestimate his skills because he's little and looks very young, but he is a very good monster hunter. Because of Avery (the best monster hunter in the biz), his last name has a bit of a reputation.

Emile is blind, autistic, and has vitiligo!

They're widely considered the best monster hunter in the biz. Their name is well-known and they're requested for help all around the world

Because of this, they're constantly traveling and having a house would not make sense. They just pack their things, stay at motels/hotels/etc., camp in the woods and move around to wherever people need them.

Since they've been pretty much everywhere, they always seem to know at least one person from each town. They never seem to get too close to anyone, though

They are fluent in many different languages!

In the past they were paired up with another monster hunter and they made a great duo. That was a couple decades ago; they go solo now.

Years ago, an unexpected and incredibly destructive monster rampaged a small town in Central Russia. Avery came as fast as they could (they were nearby in the area) but they still couldn't finish off the beast before it tore the whole town to shreds. Dozens of homes were crushed, but surprisingly most people survived, with the exception of a couple of people who died under the rubble. Avery felt awful (this was their biggest failure in a while), and as they were searching through the rubble for any more casualties they found little baby Emile, miraculously unscathed. They took him in and raised him from then on.

Nobody, not even Emile, knows very many details about Avery's childhood, their family, their age, or really any information about them. (Emile has been trying to figure out Avery's birthday for AGES so they can celebrate, but Avery has refused to budge)

Their main weapon is 2 pairs of bolas! those are those chains with 2 balls on either end, usually made to be thrown at people's legs to restrain and trip them. they use the bolas both as restraining tools and as their main weapon, because i think weapons where you spin them really fast in front of you are cool

There's a scar over their left eye; whenever someone asks how they got it they always spin a different elaborate tale of an epic monster battle. Nobody knows which (if any) is the true story

there is a WHOLE LOT that I am leaving out if you couldn't tell. There's a huge chunk of their past that I'm leaving out because it's all a big bundle of spoilers. Someday I will be able to elaborate more on Avery!

In Pursuit is the #1 place where I go when my brain is a mass of scribbly lines like one of those dinosaur comics; I Came For The Porn But I Stayed Because Sleap Made Me Feel Things. (Also, I have a weakness for Bitingly Witty, Asshole Protagonists Who Are Secretly Real Soft. Don’t point out why, I know why, I don’t need to be called out.) Anyway, I refuse to die until the final update gets posted and that is a threat.

The Path to Happily Ever After by Persephatta I know you know why I showed up here, but, ngl, the Percy x Shrike made my crops flourish. Yes, that is pretty much the entire reason why it ranks #2 for me in the BrainSpace. We have no right, as a fandom, to sleep on them separately or together. The Path is 100% Heart Comfort for me, and I have absolutely no shame in saying so out loud. (Also motivated by the line: "When you love someone, when you truly love someone...you fight for each other, and damn the consequences.”)

Maleficent: The Warlock of Nyrsta Vígi by @of-the-moors​ I am reasonably certain that I have gone “YES, NYRSTA VíGI UPDATED!” at 2 AM (or nearly) three separate times. I’m perpetually weak for dark and dramatic, plot-based content, and oh boy does Nyrsta Vígi deliver. (There are content warnings for a reason; heed them if you need to heed them.) I arrived for the Dark Fey-inclusive content, but I stayed for the continually-developing Maleval and the ocs that I would get into a fistfight over. 10/10, will be eagerly anticipating updates right ‘til the end.

let me clarify: gareth and gaheris were born as twins when gawain was fourteen and agravain was eleven, a year after gareth and gaheris were born mordred was born, and after mordred was born percival was born a year later - saying this as a disclaimer bc i don’t want anyone to think there’s a huge age gap between them :|

so anyways

first off: big ol’ spoiler warnings for puella magi madoka magica under the cut.

as stated earlier, my version of gareth takes on the role of kyoko sakura, and my version of percival takes on the role of sayaka miki. what causes percy to fall into despair is the combined realization that he’s no longer human after making a contract w/ merlin (who is the role of kyubey in this au) as well as the fact that he feels he is unworthy of galahad’s love towards him - sorta similar to sayaka and kyosuke. he ended up making a wish to save galahad in the moment when he fights a warlock (this worlds equivalent to a witch) after tristan dies and blah blah blah

like in the anime, gareth, mordred and galahad confront the now warlocked-out percival in the hopes of bringing him back. galahad, who hasn’t become a puero magus yet, is supposed to stand from the sidelines and try and talk percy out of it. it does not work, and gareth ends up sacrificing himself bc he doesn’t think percival deserves to die alone.

well... gareth’s definitely the kindest of the orkney brothers, although compared to percival’s he’s probably less idealistic in his worldview. bc of his mother treating him horribly, he has a sense of how bad the world can be. he survives for himself because that’s what he’d learned. i think that with his attitude he’d be able to at least befriend percy, and the two would rely on each other - percival teaching gareth that there is good in the world and you have to work to try and find it, gareth teaching percival to be more alert about the worst the world has to offer.

maybe? that could potentially develop into a relationship. but! it could also definitely work as a brotp. that being said, their balancing each other out would be an interesting dynamic either way regardless of interpretation.

campaign one & two: matt mercer!!!!! he’s the man at the point of the table, the man of many faces (& voices), the puller of threads, the weaver of stories, the man with lovely hair, the dungeon master himself. he puts together the story arcs, plays the npcs, does worldbuilding & directs the game during the sessions. he’s very cool (& married to marisha ray!!! & often says rly cute shit like “that’s my wife!” or “i love that woman!”)

laura bailey : appearing as the wonderful, the brilliant, the sharp-eyed, sharp-tongued VEX (vex’ahlia) a half-elf ranger, whose constant companion is a massive bear called trinket, im not 100% certain of the time line but she spent her childhood with her human mum & then her elf dad took them to the elven city of syngorn (spelling? not sure) & they learned a bunch of stuff but eventually left. vex disappeared into the forests to improve her skills at tracking & archery & to find/make a place for herself. also, she likes gold.

liam o’brien : appearing as the twin brother of vex, liam o’brien voices VAX (vax’ildan) a thief & rogue who would do anything to keep his sister safe (a trait that is returned by her), he’s a sneaky dramatic bi boy & a wee bit depressed. when vex went into the woods, vax went to the cities. he became a shadow of a man (see what i did there? im very funny) but for real he became a thief & learned how to sneak & hide & steal.

marisha ray : the voice of the sweet, talented, magical, painfully awkward KEYLETH, she’s a half elf from the ashari tribe of druids (air tribe). the daughter of the headmaster of the tribe, she is on a journey to each of the tribes to learn elemental magic & to form a new connection between the tribes. she has a good heart & a wicked sense of humour that the whole group brings out of her as well as the most hilarious innocent streak the group just. destroys. she also is a fucking badass & is training to be the headmaster one day so she definitely feels responsibility for the things they do & the choices they make

sam rigel : how does one describe SCANLAN shorthalt? are there words enough? scanlan is a gnome of considerable experience & charisma, who appears to have spent his life singing & sleeping around. i am on episode 60-smth & that’s just abt all i know about him. he’s a mystery, he’s a wonder, he’s a delight. he’s a brilliant singer & frequently makes me laugh so hard i cry. also, he’s in love with pike so,,,,,mood.

taliesin jaffe : percival fredrickstein von musel klossowski de rolo the third of whitestone, but his friends call him PERCY. at the start of the campaign i thought he was a real prat but he grew on me rly quickly & i kind of love him a lot. he’s a gunslinger, a genius inventor who created the very first gun(?) in this world & a wicked sense of humour

travis willingham : GROG. he can count to four, i think. barbarian who got beat up & abandoned by his herd when he refused to kill a gnome, he was healed by pike & became her brother & he’s BRILLIANT. he’s strong as FUCK & i love him to pieces

ashley johnson : last but not least in any aspect & certainly not my love for her, ashley plays the incredible gnome cleric PIKE. grog’s sister, cleric to the goddess of (????) saranwrap, who governs like forgiveness & healing or smth fuckin dope like that, she’s a BADASS & she CLANKS in her ARMOUR & i LOVE HER. she’s the heart & soul of the group everyone adores her & bc her actress (ashley) is away for filming for a bunch of time, u can see how much they all adore her when she joins them, they brighten up so much & they love her i love ONE (1) BIG GROUP OF FRIENDS

marisha ray : BEAUREGARD, a monk. originally from a small town called kamordah, she was in zardash at the cobalt sol, the centre for the monks of the cobalt sol, where she was being taught to fight & discipline. but since she ran away, she only learned to fight & she’s great. also, hopefully very gay the way marisha plays it . jester & fjords travelling companion when the campaign starts

liam o’brien : scruffy dirty fire wizard CALEB WIDOWGHAST who has two holsters with books which is just the coolest fucking aesthetic & a magic cat called Frumpkin. tortured soul, dark past, German accent. notts travelling companion when the campaign starts

sam rigel : a fucking GOBLIN. a goblin girl, NOTT, THE BRAVE who is a rogue, steals stuff, has a never ending flask. she’s Caleb’s travelling companion when the campaign begins. minus 3 charisma, which is Hilarious after being scanlan for so many years

taliesin jaffe : a rather colourful character, he plays MOLLYMAUK, a lavender teifling decorated in jewels & dazzling tattoos. he wears a colourful coat & has two scimitars as well as a deck of cards he uses to tell fortunes. at the start of the campaign he is travelling with a circus & with yasha . queer???? Hopefully!!!!

travis willingham : FJORD, a seaman. he’s a half orc warlock & used to be a sailor. a man of many voices, he’s a mysterious & very handsome man & has a wicked falchion. at the start of the campaign he is jester & beaus travelling companion
