I’ll definitely be drawing more of these designs, and I’m particularly happy with Ann, Yusuke, Makoto and Sophia’s designs. Their outfits are more related to the lore of their personas, and I tried to add more consistency and uniformity to their designs, so they read more as a team and functional group, while still maintaining their individual aesthetics.

Various little Pit doodles I made from that Persona 5/Kid Icarus crossover that I have. I wanted to show Pit in various clothes. He hides his wings in a secret compartment in his back pack so thag he can go to school and all that.

I added a little Yuri in there as well. They’re rivals turned friends. Pit more or less adopted the quiet kid in his class with his extrovert energy.

On a seperate note, the Yuri in this au does have some dragon qualities that he’s not super sure what to make of. Most of the kids in his grade fear him and think he’s weird, but Pit jusg thinks he’s neat.

i uh don't really remember if there was a specific thing other than mew themself. i've had the idea for like ever lmao. early versions of them had an outfit that kiiiinda looked like morgana persona 5's outfit i guess. their modern design is pretty inspired by testament guilty gear though. a bit of flowey sprinkled in personality wise

How I came up with this AU?

Honestly, some months ago, I was talking to someone about random ideas of fics, and I suddenly have a sort of idea. Then, I slowly started to have a better idea of what I wanted to do so with the help of two people I started to organize it even more until now. Of course there is more to think but I hope it's ends well.

The Late End of The Year|March 2023 Log

Woops.

My brain is a cycle of: "I'll remember to do this."

Then I don't.

Quickest rundown of what I've been doing in the past idk how many months is a mix of school (I just want to graduate at this point) and alternating my brain between a bazillion projects when I have half a brain too.

Apparently at some point I completely breezed through writing like, 2 chapters of Three Strikes and I don't remember doing that.

Fun fact since I kept track of it: I wrote for 41 hours last year. January seemed to be my most productive month.

Also I made new year resolutions! And they're going alright for the most part. One of the big ones has been to not use social media everyday, and that's been going well since sometimes I get distracted and completely forget what I'm doing.

Anyway, on to the bigger things because apparently my recollection of life is limited to school and getting more movement in my day. I've decided I might as well just start completely fresh with my goals because it's been 9 whole months since the last post. Some things from last year will be returning, but probably not all of them.

What do you think would need to change in regards to Phoenix for him to have a Rebellious Awakening in a Persona 5 crossover slash AU? The original three games strongly imply that he already mistrusts the court system and the law. (Though in my headcanon it's because it's an extension of his mistrust of people in general.)

Honestly, I don’t think he needs to change. He knows the system is unfair and he went to law school specifically to set himself against that. And in Apollo Justice we see that he was working behind the scenes, while disgraced, to revamp the whole system to make it fairer. Give him a metaverse and a moment of rage and Icarus is going to rise.

Thinking some more about that Persona AU of In Sound Mind. Desmond is the Wild Card, of course. Keeping the Greek thing, the obvious choice for his starter Persona is Psyche, but I think Asclepius fits better with the lyrics of Here Comes a Savior. He tends towards heals, buffs, and status cures. Virginia/Medusa uses Curse. She’s also the backup healer, since she wishes she could heal her scars, and she gets reflect spells later as an ironic “mirror” theme. Allen/Icarus is Fire, naturally. He’s pretty balanced and can do a lot of things. Maybe a bit of focus on speed, since he can fly across the battlefield. Max/Minotaur is the physical bruiser. Using skills from HP seems like his style. Since Fire is taken, let’s take his Shadow’s breath attack and say he’s Wind. Lucas/Cyclops is hard to pin down, but he definitely gets a few Gun attacks. The wiki says Cyclops is usually Electric for some reason. It’s also been Earth, which could work as an element here since Allen’s Shadow is definitely Earth. Tonia’s persona is Sphinx, of course. She’s probably a damage-focused caster. Sphinx has had a lot of different elements, but I’ll go with Holy to avoid doubling up. (This is the Persona 5 version where Holy does damage.) In this version, Allen interrupts Virginia when she has her breakdown, and he manages to get the shard away from her. This means her Shadow can’t end the fight quickly, and Virginia eventually gets the upper hand and gets her Persona. They go to Desmond to try to figure out WTF just happened, and get trapped when his whole building ends up in the Metaverse. Max escaped into the Metaverse after his attack on the research facility went sideways. He still hasn’t beaten his Shadow when Desmond and co. arrive, and he’s losing his damn mind trying to fight it off. Pure stubborn refusal to give in has its downsides—it’s hard for him to accept this thing is part of him. Lucas has been investigating the Metaverse ever since the war. He goes in to try to find Desmond, and has to be saved himself. Tonia is still dead. A ghost cat sounds about right for Persona. Since Desmond beats his Shadow early on to become a Wild Card, I’m not sure who the final boss is. Maybe something big and ugly was drawn by the Vietnam experiments, and it’s taking this opportunity to finally get through.

This includes Akechi’s design for his Princely/Robin Hood attire, BEFORE his Icarus attire you might have seen from my other posts! Check out the Icarus AU tag for more info! Icarus has a main focus on Akechi and his relationship to the thieves, but the AU is actually an entire rewrite with new designs, 3rd semester and epilogue/strikers/tactica stories, hence Zenkichi and Sophia’s inclusion.

I decided to include more motifs towards their persona’s and general vibes; and also just my own personal touches haha.

AKIRA - Not much has changed, I really like his design overall. I raised his boots to be like Arsene’s and changed his neck area.

MORGANA - I hate the OG pill shaped head, his new design is based heavily on the shape of Palico’s from Monster Hunter. Added a little more nod to Zorro/His persona motifs and also just made him cuter! Little hamburger headed cat.

RYUJI - I made him a little bulkier and gave some more weight to his outfit overall. I gave him heavier boots and a slightly buffer build to relate back more to his sporty style.

ANN - honestly was never too big on her latex outfit, I wanted to call back to a personal favorite female lead; Christine Daae, and used one of the versions of her Don Juan costume as inspiration. I remember seeing Phantom live and in many stage versions of her character, the Don Juan scene was a pure moment of female control, and she was truly working the Phantom and controlling every movement on the stage. Her presence is commanding, and I thought it was a very fitting tribute to Ann’s character as feminine strength. (I’m absolutely not referring to the movie iteration of Daae btw.)

YUSUKE - I referred to some historical art and legend of Goemon to add more elements of design to his outfit. When I color them, I want to add some really strong pops of color to his clothing to really drive the aesthetics and artistry home.

MAKOTO - Another totally redid outfit, I opted to give her a design which relates back to Popess Joan, and also Anat. I gave her a clawed hand on her right side and an uncovered hand on her left as both a nod to Anat’s hand raised in iconography of her from art history, but also to show the duality of Anat’s title as both a goddess of war, and of love. It also relates to the mythology of Joan and her nature as both a leader and a martyr. I changed her mask to a Venetian Commedia mask as well.

FUTABA - ok. I’ll be honest. I never liked her skin-tight outfit, it just doesn’t match her personality at all. Also, the high tech Egyptian feel never really sold me. I totally understand the tomb thing, but I truthfully think a dungeon/palace which was more like… tech/nerd themed would have been much more “futaba” the inspiration for this new outfit relates back to her persona, the Necromomicon, as well as her nerdy personality, and her affiliation as Alibaba (Ali Baba.) I wanted to go more lovecraftian, long sleeves and patterning designed to look more like lovecraftian tendrils, and big baggy pants and her classic shoes to match. The patterning on her undershirt will resemble a rib cage, both as a reference to her deathly “tomb” iconography, but also to Lovecraftian and Necronomicon lore. I think she matches the description of a nerdy, techie DND dungeon master more than the initial outfit, so that’s the route I took personally.

HARU - relating back to some fashions from 17th c France, where Milady’s story (the three musketeers) takes place, I kept her design relatively similar. I just gave her a little more iconography relating to the three musketeers and that general timeframe.

AKECHI - in his pre-Icarus outfit, I’ve given him a princely sort of outfit befitting of his two faced nature, and edited it to relate to Robin Hood a little more. I tried to keep it sleek and just generally very concealing and layered.

SUMIRE - i gave her some iconography relating back to one of her personas, who is an inference to Freya. I also included some more nods to classic Cinderella, with fantasy gown elements. Overall, relatively similar.

ZENKICHI - again, relatively similar, I really like his outfit. I just opened up the face some to show more personality and spiced up the outfit generally to keep it matching. honestly, les mis/Valjean was a hard one, but I also think his character could be heavily related back to Edmond Dante (Monte Cristo.) so I gave some nods to that as well.

SOPHIA - I turned her into a FINGIE!!!! I made her whole dress as a nod to her persona/to pandora’s tiles around her/the pillars. I wanted to make her small and almost unnatural since she’s an AI, and I thought having a little guy on the team would add some more variation.

Turnabout Persona: The Personas of SEES

I finished up my decisions for the Personas of the Ace Attorney version of SEES for my Turnabout Persona AU. I wanted to share them in order to get a second opinion. For those who don’t want to be spoiled, I’ll put them under a cut.

Please let me know opinions on this! This is harder than it looks, and any suggestions for these and future Personas would be helpful.

Just a heads up, though. There are three Personas that will carry over from canon into the AU for obvious reasons. Okay? Cool.

EURYDICE: Fool Arcana. Mia Fey’s Initial Persona, coming to her aid during the September Full Moon, but was lingering in her mind long before that. The nymph Orpheus was meant to marry before her untimely death. When he went to retrieve her from the Underworld, he lost her forever by breaking the one rule Hades gave him: he couldn’t look at her.

PERSEPHONE: Death Arcana. Mia Fey’s Ultimate Persona, technically evolving Eurydice when the Persona fuses with Thanatos in order to save the members of SEES from Nyx. Persephone is the wife of Hades and the Queen of the Underworld. After a deal was made with Demeter to save life, Persephone spends six months in the Underworld and six months on Earth

LANA SKYE:

HIPPLOYTA: Empress Arcana. Lana Skye’s Initial Persona. Lana first Awakened her Persona after following Angel, Jake and Diego into Tartarus in her final year of middle school, upon which she defeated a Shadow that had attacked them. However, due to an event two years prior to Mia’s arrival, Lana has not used her Persona and overcomes this during the October Full Moon Operation in order to help stop the Shadow controlling the monorail. Hipployta was Queen of the Amazons and the daughter of the god of war.

ISIS: Empress Arcana. Lana Skye’s Ultimate Persona. She evolved into this form following a message Lana found of her parents shortly before their deaths. She vowed to protect those she cared about, as well as her parents’ legacy. Isis is an Egyptian goddess worshipped in the Greco-Roman world and a patron of nature and magic. She is well-known for resurrecting her brother, Osiris, after his untimely death.

VESTA: Empress Arcana and Lana's third Awakened Persona. Isis converted into Shadow Lana following immense pressure from the police twisting and warping Lana's ideals. It is only due to the actions of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts two years later did Lana regain her Persona. However, due to her change in heart, a change in Persona had also come about, giving birth to Vesta. Vesta is the goddess of the hearth, home and family in Roman Mythology. She is rarely depicted in human form, however, instead being represented as a burning flame.

DIEGO ARMANDO:

ADONIS: Hanged Man Arcana. Diego Armando’s Initial Persona. It is unknown how he Awakened, but Adonis was officially revealed on a mission into Tartarus shortly after Diego was cleared to go back out into the field following an injury during the September Full Moon. Adonis was raised by both Persephone and Aphrodite, which caused the two goddesses to dispute over whom he stayed with. It was eventually decided that Adonis would stay with Persephone one third of the year, Aphrodite another third, and the final third would be with whomever he chose.

ZAGREUS: Hanged Man Arcana. Diego Armando’s Ultimate Persona. He evolves from Adonis following the death of a member of SEES, when Diego resolved to stop living in the past and focus on the future, facing every challenge that stood in his path. Zagreus was an Underworld god of rebirth, hunting and a few other things, originally equated with Dionysus. He was ultimately fused with the god in question.

NEIL MARSHALL:

MERLIN: Magician Arcana. Neil Marshall’s Persona. It is unknown how Neil Awakened, but this Persona is revealed during the November Full Moon operation, in which the User had summoned him to aid his allies and protect his friends. Merlin is a well-known wizard from Arthurian legend, serving as the king’s advisor. Merlin is also a strictly navigational Persona.

ANGEL STARR:

TITANIA: Lovers Arcana. Angel Starr’s Initial Persona. It is unknown how Angel Awakened Titania, but she first reveals the Persona after Neil rejoins SEES as it’s navigator. Titania is the queen of the fae and derived from a Shakespeare play rather than mythology and legend. She is a proud fairy whose power rivals that of her husband’s. Titania has some navigational ability, but it is not as strong as Merlin’s.

ISHTAR: Lovers Arcana. Angel Starr’s Ultimate Persona. She evolved following Angel’s resolve to protect those dear to her to keep them from falling in battle. Ishtar is a Babylonian goddess of fertility and love. Despite being a creator of life, she is known by the tile “Lady of Battles”, being known as a violent deity. Unlike Titania, Ishtar has more powerful navigational abilities.

AIGIS:

PALLADION: Chariot Arcana. Aigis’s Initial Persona.

ATHENA: Chariot Arcana. Aigis’s Ultimate Persona. Aigis’s Persona evolves into Athena following her desire and resolve to live, as well as to decide her own fate.

MISSILE:

CERBERUS: Strength Arcana. Missile’s Persona. Cerberus is the guardian of the Underworld’s gates.

JAKE MARSHALL:

ICARUS: Justice Arcana. Jake Marshall’s Initial Persona. It is unknown how he Awakened, but the shape Jake’s Persona initially took earned him the name of “SEES’ Guardian Angel” (mostly said by Diego). Icarus and his father attempted to escape from Crete on wings made of wax. However, Icarus flew too close to the sun, which caused the wings to melt. He fell into the sea, where he subsequently drowned.

PENDRAGON: Justice Arcana. Jake Marshall’s Ultimate Persona. Icarus took on this form a few weeks after Jake lost someone important, resolving to live life for them, as they would’ve wanted. Pendragon takes the form of King Arthur, with influence for the change being taken from Neil.

So I did a thing. My partner and I made a Persona 5 AU where Goro Akechi involuntarily adopted Pitas his little brother when he was in his first game. I call it the Little Pit Au. Anyway it basically kept growing so now there’s various character universes from multiple universes there. The most prominent ones being Yuri from Yugioh (Who’s kinda a dragon), and Amane and Tsukasa from Hanako Toilet bound (who are definitely eldritch abominations). It’s been on my mind and I have a few drawings saved up so I might as well post.

Basically while Pit was stuck in Persona world, Goro made him go to school to get his education. Along the way (and through a couple school yard fights) he became best friends with Yuri and more casual friends/ rivals with Amane and Tsukasa. Chaos ensues.

Pit also noticed that Goro kept suspiciously disappearing at night so he eventually follows him and finds out about the whole Phantom thief thing. He basically wants in and becomes an honorary member of the group. (Pit was still a menace even in his first game)
