Hey everyone, look what I got!

It's a little baby opossum, a guy brought it to me who found it inside his house, apparently he was looking for shelter from the bad weather that has been there lately

The poor thing has hurt ears, as if they were burned and the tip of the tail worries me since it seems necrotic, I'll see if I can find a vet who can check it out, I also want the fleas and any other parasites that he may have removed

Once I confirm that he is ok he will be rehabilitated and reintroduced to his habitat when he grows a little more, he is really small

Or maybe I keep it as a pet, I don't know yet, I've wanted an opossum all my life and the person who gave it to me also said to keep it but I'll see what to do with it in the future

how i realised i was autosexual & autoromantic.

(i mean this is an incredibly personal post but maybe people might want to hear this?)

so i've barely felt attraction to other people my whole life. like, ever. i used to (and still do) identify with labels like demi- and grey- (both romantically and sexually but only towards other people).

it always felt like there was something missing. i felt like i could live my life without someone else because i always felt whole on my own, but i wasn't aromantic or asexual.

it took me until around december-ish last year to figure out that those feelings aren't something everyone else experience. i didn't have a label for it until very recently, and i kinda found it hard to come to terms with because i used find it a bit strange when people would call themselves "self-partnered" and would be proud to be themselves. (which i feel really really bad about considering that's how i identify now)

then i found the words "autosexual" and "autoromantic"

everything made so much sense.

and here i am. i am my own lover. i'm proud, even if i'm not out to anyone. even if i don't plan on telling anyone irl anytime soon, and that's ok.

Why is ur persona female?

Not trying to be rude, just curious.

Good question honestly! And truth be told, the main reason that she's female is because she was created just before my gender identity discovery. Pen was first created as a character in early spring of 2020, wheras I wasn't even aware of gender anonaminity until at least late summer that year (and for reference: I officially identified as non-binary in the beginning of 2022, but I'd been curious and hesitantly self-labeling as genderqueer for about six months prior). She hasn't changed much in terms of design and personality since then (so, really I'm just super lazy LOL)

Even though she doesn't match me for gender and pronouns anymore, she's honestly become more of her own character than she ever was as just a persona. What started as a design to represent trauma having caused this internal "split" has now become its own identity, in and of herself. That's why I changed her eyes after a while; they used to be heterochromic, but upon creating The Paper Guard I decided to make them full brown to better coincide with the story's progression, and to separate Penn (two Ns) the character from Pen the persona. Pen now is less of a persona and more of a mascot.

Also (and this might be kind of a stupid argument lol) while I do love seeing more gender representations in all kinds of media, I don't like to oversaturate it, even in my own fantasy worlds. Spade is the only official non-binary character I currently possess, though Clutch is about as genderfluid as you could get too. Everybody else is pretty much dominated by one main gender depending on the universe (my World of Cars characters are of course mainly male-dominated, while in The Paper Guard I seem to vastly preference female characters).

So yeah!

I could think of no better way to share the news than this!

So when I was 17, my cat went missing and I'd given up hope of ever seeing him again.

Until on Monday, 27th of May, 2024, my friend sent me a FB post asking 'isn't that your mother?' about the person named on the microchip.

Here he is! 16 years old, and found safe, twelve whole years after he went missing!

Yesterday (Tuesday the 28th of May, 2024) I went to the rescue that had him, and I reclaimed my boy, renaming him Artie! (He'd originally been called 'Cat' because my mother and I couldn't decide on a name)

He's home safe with me now, currently inhabiting my bathroom and purring up a storm every time someone goes in there!

I'll be doing slow introductions between him and my current cat to give them the best possible chance of living in harmony!

My talent with bones is going too far too fast.

A museum already want me in Playa del Carmen to clean and assemble a manatee, in Hidalgo to work on a jaguar and a tiger and a falconer from the region wants a falcon and a horned owl

That and the four snakes of more than three meters that my boss want me to work in the workshop, a wild turkey, a coyote, a peccary and a deer

All this plus the job I already have, a hawk, lots of chameleons, crocodiles, rattlesnakes, baby animals, etc.

Damn I need vacations 😵‍💫

Btw, if anyone has advice on how to organize the work I would appreciate it because I am panicking asf aaaaaaa
