Well, might as well get some motivation and hop on a trend :)

100 notes and I’ll start counting my calories to try and gain weight (right now I’m just eyeballing it)

250 notes and I’ll make a dry erase chart of the self care things I need to do every day (I have issues with this lol)

500 notes and I’ll finally go to the doctor to get my wrists, knees, and ankles checked out for chronic pain

1000 notes and I’ll post a selfie of myself in one of my favorite outfits that actually makes myself feel good in my body (cropped out head bc I don’t want to dox myself thank you very much)

2500 notes, the big boy, I’ll be completely open to my therapist about my mental health issues (I’m already working on this but I feel like by the time we get here I’ll be ready hehe)

NEW GOAL: 5000 notes and I’ll make my first self indulgent x reader fic (SFW)

My cat just sat on my lap and I'm emotional

For those wondering why: My cats have been with me for two and a half years. I got them from the shelter, and they were - SO scared. Still are sometimes. Their previous "owner" and I use that term with derision, had the genius idea to become a breeder, got seven female cats, they all got pregnant and gave birth around the same time, and he had - what, twenty kittens? And instead of selling those, he sudennly realized that that is too much work, and set about rounding all of them up and disposing of them.

My cats are two of six kittens who survived. They HATED humans. Touching was a no-go. One of them hid under my couch for two weeks during the day. I couldnt pet either of them for over four months. And while they have grown very close to me and trust me a lot, they never even so much as put a paw on my leg when I sat down, or walked across me. I guess it would have made them feel trapped? So I let them decide how much touch was okay.

So imagine me holding my breath when my cat suddenly put one paw on my leg, then the other, and then climbed straight into my lap to curl up there and fall asleep purring

Ok ok before I get off track on how excited I am- I saw this big old Zira as one of the Siberian Tigers- big old cat from the northern part of china. Imposing and elegant in his stripes. BUT HONESTLY GO FOR IT- BE CREATIVE. HOW DO YOU SEE THIS MAN ?!? HEHEHE.

Just a little personal update: I have officially passed all four parts of the CPA exam! It’s been an 18 month journey that wasn’t linear in any fashion, but is well worth it!

I know I haven’t been here much and the hours I’ve spent studying and working explain why. I’m heading into tax season where I’ll be busy again, but I’m hoping to find some writing inspiration along the way!

Hago una breve conexión en estos días duros y tristes para mí. Un familiar está muy grave en el hospital y el camino de recuperación que vamos a enfrentar va a ser largo y doloroso. No sé cuándo pasaré por aquí ni cuánto. Estoy destrozada, aterrorizada, y totalmente desubicada.

First week done at my new job and I am so unbelievably pleased I made the decision to move. The job I have now is a step down from what I was doing and I know people have judged me for the decision, have told me I’m moving backwards but I have left behind an awful, toxic, discriminatory environment for one that is positive, engaging and supportive.

I know it’s only the first week and I know it won’t always be sunshine and roses but I don’t think I truly realised how bad things actually were at my last job until I started my new one

So anyway, there’s no actual point to this post other than to say that I am happy. 😃
