I have been down a Pete and Pete rabbit hole tonight spurned on by my husband sending me an ARTIE THE STRONGEST MAN IN THE WORLD gif in response to me sending him the new NY Giants uniforms and just goddamn.
I knew I loved this show. I knew it meant a lot to me. But until revisting it tonight I didn't realize HOW MUCH it did. Idk if it's just because I grew up in New Jersey and the show took place in and was filmed in New Jersey. Idk if it's just because it just perfectly captures the feeling of childhood without romanticizing nor criticizing it. The exact reasons don't really matter. It was just a truly special show that could have only existed in its exact point in time and it is near and dear to me and I will love it forever.
