PhantomStrider's Modern Cartoons Ranking And My Thoughts On Each Individual Cartoon

To Start, I First Watched This Video Back In 2016 Or 2017 (Can't Tell Which One To Be Honest). I Got Into A Handful Of Those After Seeing That Video. Here's The Video In Question:

I'm Only Speaking About Each Cartoon In Order Of His Ranking And That His Ranking May Not Reflect My Thoughts On Each Show. In A Separate Post, I'll List Off Some Of The Cartoons That Were Snubbed From The List. Now For Number 10.

Right Off The Bat, We Have A Show That I Have An Interesting History With. This Was One Of Many Cartoons That I Was Introduced To Via This Video. I Like This Show, But I Wouldn't Call This My Favorite Nick Show. This Show Kinda Planted An Idea That Might Or Might Not Be Present In Most Future Projects Of Mine (Large Families). I Rarely Watch An Episode Of This Show Nowadays. I Haven't Seen Any Episodes Past Season 4 (I Saw The Movie And The First Season Of The Casagrandes As Well, But That's It). Watching New Episodes Wasn't As Much Of A Priority As It Used To Be. Also, Have You Ever Had That One Person Who Fell Into Controversy That You Were Sure Was Innocent When The Initial Controversy Was Happening, But With Hindsight, Now Knows That The One Person Really Was That Bad? For Me, That Was Chris Savino. Also, I'm Only Reading Fanfics For This Nowadays Instead Of Watching The Show Itself. Moving Onto Number 9:

I Never Watched This, So I Can't Really Give My Opinion On It. I Have The Whole Thing Recorded Onto The DVR, So I Could Watch It At Some Point. It Has Elijah Wood (Frodo From "Lord Of The Rings") In It, So That Might Help Make Me Want To Watch It. For Number 8:

With How People Were Calling Korra A "Mary Sue" (Some Probably Still Do, IDK), I Hope Netflix Doesn't Adapt This Like They Did With ATLA, That Would Be A Whole Headache If That Were Ever To Happen. Aw Yeah, Now That's What I'm Talking About. I Finally Watched This In The Summer Of Last Year, And I Really Like This. What I Could Say About This May As Well Have Been Said By Many Others (Vailskibum94 Included). I Know It Led To A Bunch Of Successors, One Of Which Is On The List, While A Bunch Of Others Have Been Snubbed. For Number 3:

In Hindsight, I'd Probably Have This And GF Switch Positions On The List. I'm Actually In The Process Of Revisiting This. I Posted On Here And Reddit About The Show Quite A Bit Recently. The Last Episode I Watched Was "Sophomore Slump" And, Marco Will End Up With A Rude Awakening And A Love For Linkin Park When He Finds Out About Star And Tom. Also, I Watched Saberspark's Video On This Earlier Today And Yeah, I Think Amphibia Or The Owl House Should Be In That Position On The List Instead. Also, I Heard About Star Executing Order 66 On A Lot Of Characters. After Initially Watching This, I Must Have Blocked Out A Lot Of This Show Since Initially Watching This. Whatever Excitement I Had With Seasons 1-2 And The Battle For Mewni Special Seems To Slowly Be Withering Away As The Episodes Go By. Next Up On This, For Number 2 Is:

One Of The Few Shows On The List That I Heard Of Prior To Watching This Video. I Watched The Majority Of Season 1 On Cartoon Network And That's It. I Have A Lot Of Shows I Need To Get Around To Watching. Onto The Honorable Mentions. The First Honorable Mention Is:

I Watched Videos From Cyrus The Great And Smarty Pants And Read Posts From Tumblr's Own The Immaturity Of Thomas Astruc And I Still Haven't Watched An Episode Of Season 5. I Watched The Movie Though. You may have never heard of this one, but its a Mexican Family Guy rip-off in which PhantomStrider considered it the worst Mexican cartoon. Yeah I don’t even wanna talk about it. Title: The Light We Keep

In the infinite void where nothingness stretched forever, there were no towns, no landscapes, just darkness and light. Phantomstrider, the embodiment of warmth and joy, stood firm, glowing like a beacon of hope. His friends, huddled together behind him, trembled under the overwhelming weight of the looming figure before them—Darkstrider.

Darkstrider, with his piercing, empty gaze and shroud of blackness, glared back at Phantomstrider, his very presence suffocating. The darkness that surrounded him felt like despair incarnate, a cold, crushing emptiness that threatened to devour everything.

“They make you weak, Phantomstrider,” Darkstrider spat, his voice low and filled with disdain. “You cling to them like they’re your strength. But they are your chains.”

Phantomstrider’s usual cheer was nowhere to be found, his normally bright smile dimmed by the seriousness of the moment. His friends, their faces drawn and pale, were in danger. Dennis, the one who always brightened the darkest moments, stood closest to him, shaking as the darkness encroached.

“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” Phantomstrider responded, his voice shaking with emotion. “They’re my heart, my reason to shine.”

Darkstrider’s cold laugh echoed in the empty expanse. “Heart? Reason?” His hand raised, and tendrils of darkness erupted from him, twisting like serpents through the void. They snaked toward Phantomstrider’s friends, threatening to wrap them in their suffocating grip. “Without them, you would be free, untethered by their fragility.”

“No!” Phantomstrider shouted, light bursting from his form, but even his glow seemed to flicker in the overwhelming blackness. He could feel the weight of Darkstrider’s presence pressing down on him, his friends’ lives hanging in the balance.

The tendrils of darkness grew closer to Dennis, and the others gasped as they were slowly enveloped. Phantomstrider’s heart pounded with fear and desperation. His light, so full of joy and warmth, was being tested like never before.

“You’re afraid,” Darkstrider sneered, stepping closer, his shadow stretching over Phantomstrider. “Afraid of losing them, because you know, without them, you’re nothing.”

Phantomstrider trembled, his light dimming for a moment as doubt crept in. He could hear his friends’ voices behind him, weak and fading. Dennis reached out, his hand trembling as the darkness closed in.

“Phantomstrider… help…”

His breath caught in his throat. He couldn’t lose them. He wouldn’t. But no matter how hard he tried to push back the shadows, they kept closing in, suffocating his friends, suffocating him.

Darkstrider’s voice pierced through the despair, cold and venomous. “You were always weak, Phantomstrider. That’s why you need them. But I don’t. I am strength without anyone. I am power without light.”

Phantomstrider dropped to his knees, his hands shaking as the light around him began to falter. His vision blurred with tears. Was Darkstrider right? Could he not stand without his friends by his side?

But then, in that moment of darkness, he felt something stir inside him—something stronger than fear or doubt. He closed his eyes, focusing not on the fear of losing his friends, but on every moment they had shared. The laughter, the joy, the way they made him feel alive. They weren’t his weakness. They were his light, and they made him stronger than anything Darkstrider could ever understand.

With a deep breath, Phantomstrider’s heart surged with love, and his light began to grow once more. This time, it wasn’t just his light—it was the collective love of his friends, their strength, their courage, their hope, all intertwined with his own.

“You don’t understand, Darkstrider,” Phantomstrider said softly, his voice steady and filled with conviction. “They’re not a weakness. They’re the reason I’m strong. And I’ll never let you take that from me.”

In a flash, Phantomstrider stood tall, his body glowing brighter than it ever had before. The tendrils of darkness recoiled, hissing as they were burned away by the radiant light that now engulfed him. Dennis’s face, once pale with fear, lit up as the shadows around him dissolved, and the others gasped as they were freed from the suffocating dark.

Darkstrider staggered back, his form flickering like a dying flame. His empty eyes widened, filled with a mixture of fear and disbelief.

“You... how...?” Darkstrider snarled, his voice cracking with rage. “How are you still standing?”

Phantomstrider stepped forward, his light growing ever brighter, pushing the darkness back with every step. “Because I’m not alone,” he said, his voice calm but firm. “I never was.”

The darkness surrounding Darkstrider began to unravel, his form shrinking as Phantomstrider’s light grew stronger and more powerful. For the first time, there was a flicker of uncertainty in Darkstrider’s hollow gaze, as if he were seeing something he couldn’t understand.

“No...” Darkstrider whispered, his voice shaking. “No, I can’t go back there... not again.”

Phantomstrider approached him, his face full of compassion, even for the one who had tried to destroy everything he loved. “You don’t have to be like this, Darkstrider. You don’t have to be alone.”

But Darkstrider’s face twisted with fear and anger, his form flickering violently as the darkness around him collapsed. “I... I deserve this! I deserve the darkness!”

Before Phantomstrider could reach out to him, Darkstrider’s form began to dissolve, pulled back into the shadows from where he had come. His voice echoed faintly as he was dragged into the void, filled with sorrow and regret.

“Maybe... in another life...”

And then, with a final whisper, Darkstrider was gone, the last traces of his darkness swallowed by the void.

Phantomstrider stood alone in the silence, his light still glowing softly. Behind him, his friends rushed forward, their faces filled with relief and gratitude. Dennis reached out, wrapping his arms around Phantomstrider, tears in his eyes.

“You saved us,” he whispered, his voice trembling.

Phantomstrider nodded, though his heart was heavy. “I only wish I could have saved him too.”

The others joined in, embracing him, their collective warmth a reminder of the light they all shared. Even though the battle was over, the ache of what had been lost lingered in Phantomstrider’s heart. But he knew now, more than ever, that his light wasn’t just his own—it was the light of those he loved, and that light would never be extinguished.

And as they stood together in the vast void, surrounded by nothing but the soft glow of their shared warmth, Phantomstrider knew that no darkness could ever take that away from them.

i think it's really funny when grown ass adults get genuinely mad about people remaking tv shows for preschoolers. getting mad about them spoiling lord of the rings or whatever i get, but if you're actually invested in bob the builder to the point it going cgi angers you you may need to touch grass

There was an episode on Spongebob that has a moral that would make Viv stans quake in fear

The moral was

"Sometimes the people we idolize are actually bad people. Don't let yourself be blind to it just because you like or admire them. It's natural to want to see the best in people we like. But in the end, it does more harm than good."

And honestly? I think that people should use that moral in their lives. I should know, I used to be a fan of Viv but then I realized that she wasn't a good person. It hurt of course, but people need to realize that this kind of blind devotion does a lot of harm to both themselves and others

That episode should be mandatory viewing material for diehard Viv fans, and also everyone, honestly. "Do you want it to hurt me, Kevin?"

Never put anyone on an untouchable pedestal...not politicians, not partners, not content creators.
