13.03.25. 1817H | Nono's, Opus Mall
Because the girlfriend knew I've been excited for Mickey17 for a few months now, we went on a date. We were deciding between Opus Mall and Estancia since we haven't been on either one. Opus won.
There aren't many open stores yet but we were glad to see Nono's is already operating. If you haven't known by now, I'm a big fried chicken fan and Nono's happen to be one of my favorite.
The service on this branch though is a total disaster. *Sigh*
We got seated about 5mins upon arrival, and placed our order by 1830H. We were told that the serving time is between 25-30mins and it was fine with us since the screening we booked was for 2000H. Food arrived about 20 mins late though at 1920H so we had to rush and only had 25 mins to eat. 50 mins serving time is a little too much for us.
We requested for the bill and to have the rest of the food to go by 1945H to give us enough time to get to the screening. Took them the whole 15 mins to wrap it up.
Terrible, terrible service.

Food was good though. Ordered their original and southern rub fried chicken with waffles and it did not disappoint. Easily a 8.5/10
Next up is the baked spaghetti. It was served fresh out of the oven. The bread that came with it was kind of stale already though. 7/10
Pizza margherita was very good, it was served cold though. 7/10

Ordered strawberry mango shake because I already had 4 cups of coffee that day lmao while the girlfriend ordered latte because she's used to having coffee at night as someone who works the graveyard shift.

2002H. 2 mins late for the screening but luckily we were just in time. We wanted to try the VIP cinemas, however, only the regular cinemas have the movie we wanted to watch. Tickets are at Php 450, and it just reminds me how I used to score Php 100 tickets back when I was in college lmao. Entertainment tax is rising wtf.
Movie did not disappoint. I mean, it wasn't the best Bong Joon Ho or Robert Pattinson, or Mark Ruffalo film I've watched but it was entertaining enough not to regret those steep ticket prices lmao. Definitely a 3.5/5 on my letterboxd lmao.

Also took a photo of the cinema area because it definitely has that "Alta" aura hahaha. The use of black and gold definitely works. I just hope they get to maintain it once this mall starts to get more customers.
Anyway, just sharing how my date went since I miss over sharing here hahaha.

KULIATAN MARINE SANCTUARY: PROTECTING ILOILO'S MARINE LIFE
Situated in the southern town of San Joaquin, Iloilo, Kuliatan Marine Sanctuary is one of the marine protected areas (MPAs) in Iloilo Province. It protects all marine life and species in the area. The resort opened its doors to tourists in 2016(?). By doing this, it made awareness among the community and its diverse life go deep by balancing our ecosystem. In doing so, the impact it made on our environment by minimizing the effects of global warming.
The sanctuary is just one of the 15 coastal barangays in San Joaquin that is being protected. Upon entering the area, you will be directed to the registration area. You will be oriented if you're on a day tour or overnight stay. There are cottages available to choose from. There is a limited number of hours of electricity in the area so that visitors are expected to call it the night early. As a protected sanctuary, everyone is expected to avoid making unnecessary noises. You can bring your own food to cook without corkage fee. The resort has a store where you can buy and order takeout snacks.
It is advised to avoid single plastic - use products. Plastic wastes are the number one cause of marine pollutants. It is sad that the Philippines rank number one in the world. We need to educate everyone how to minimize the effects of global warming in our community. For our future generations.
Among the attractions of Kuliatan are the following: the lagoon, view deck, small cave, and a small pool area. The wooden bridge is also a nice attraction for those who want a view from the nearby rock formation. Be reminded these are corals, so they have sharp edges. It is advisable to wear swimming or snorkeling shoes to avoid injury. A bamboo raft is available who wants to go snorkeling and swimming.
Visiting the place is an opportunity not to be missed. They give us realization on how to protect our marine ecosystem and the earth in general. By protecting our environment, we set an example for the future generations. An example worth emulating. Protect our environment and it will protect us from the wrath of nature.

went on my first meal outing today because my dietitian made an exception to the phase rules and made me go. honestly it was really nice to get off the unit and have actually good food and have nice conversations, but the item I ordered (some kind of egg/veggie hash) came with a side of pancakes that i wasn't aware of and I fuckin,,, spiraled hard. it seemed like everyone else at the table had much smaller portions and the person next to me didn't even come close to completing. we were told before hand that completion expectations were 75-100%, or 100% for my stupidass meal plan. I probably could have asked if I could complete less than 100% of what I ordered but I feel like that's not a normal thing to do. like, who tf has a dietitian on hand at all times making sure their portions don't go "over??" exactly. no one. so i ate the entire stupid thing and i was so fucking full and all I wanted to do was purge it or turn it into a b/p or restrict the rest of the day. I literally almost cried during post meal process group because I was so overwhelmed by the idea of having had 1) more than my peers and 2) more than my meal plan. and yet!! i didn't compensate at all! and completed the rest of the day!! with supplement, but still. I'm trying to see this as a win, esp since I haven't completed since being in php, but I just feel really fucking guilty.

there's this pizza parlor that's less than 500 m away from our residents and i really love how delicious but cheap their pizzas are. the most expensive flavor we have to order is around 320 php (around 5.70 usd) for a 14-inch hand tossed pizza. they open around 3 pm and they would sometimes sold out before 6 pm. we only buy maybe once in every one or two months but i sure hope they will continue selling good quality pizza.
i love cooking and i would prefer to cook instead of ordering food but pizza is something i can never make myself so it's really nice to know there's a nearby pizza parlor in our neighborhood. we don't have to pay for delivery since we can pick up the pizza ourselves and it's always served freshly baked. something that i would never get to experience every time i will order on other famous pizza parlors.

OCEAN MAN, TAKE BY THE HAND-
We’re finally at not only my favorite episode of not only Season 2, but the entirety of Prehistoric Planet so far; OCEANS! As much as I love prehistory, I’m also a huge marine biology nerd, and have been since early childhood. I’ve always been a fan of marine animals, and the same applies for the sea creatures of the deep past. And when it comes to highlighting the various marine fauna of the Maasrichtian, this episode does a pretty good job with that. Aside from a few complaints that I wanna save for the end, I’m more than happy to say that this episode has many scenes that I consider to be some of my favorites in the entire series. Let’s “dive” in to see what I mean.
…I hope you laughed…
Anyone else getting “Cruel Sea” vibes from this?
The episode begins with an animal that I’ve been hoping to see make an appearance since the very beginning; Phosphorosaurus. This was a species of mosasaur that has adapted large eyes. During the day, this creature hides in the various coral formations, while much larger mosasaurs stalk the depths in search of prey. However, the night is a much different story, as when the Mosasaurus is away, Phosphorosaurus will play. Y’know those large eyes that I mentioned? Well, they’re used to assist the animal while hunting in deep, dark waters, as the female mosasaur zips and darts her way through a school of lanternfish. As if this didn’t become clear enough, this scene is highly reminiscent of the Ophthalmosaurus from Walking with Dinosaurs. Think about it; both are marine reptiles that hide within coral reefs by day, and stalk prey by night. The latter part of the track used for this scene certainly helps with the whole vibe. And while I consider this to be nothing more than a coincidence, I really love how the scene plays out. As much as this series is more similar to Planet Earth, I’m all for similar vibes to the Walking with series in this show.
Chicken of the Sea, anyone?
The episode then cuts to the shallow waters of North America, where two familiar faces of the Late Cretaceous oceans finally make their debut within the PHP universe; Hesperonis and Xiphactinus! Alot of people are aware of these two species. One’s a man-sized diving bird with teeth in its beak, while the other is a gluttonous fish with the face of a bulldog. Once a school of these fish stop by a bunch of Hesperonis snacking on a baitball, things go well…at first, that is. Once enough baitfish have been gobbled up, the X-Fish (A name that David Attenborough lovely calls the Xiphactinus) start attacking their avian acquaintances. Another WW parallel in this episode is how both species did similar things between this episode, and the Hell’s Aquarium part of "Chased by Sea Monsters'’. The main difference between both is well… the lack of a certain time-traveling zoologist peeking in.
One last note to bring up for this scene is how the first draft of it (According to concept art made by Gaëlle Seguillon) also had Hydrotherosaurusin it. For those who aren’t aware, that was a species of elasmosaur that was discovered in California, and its name means “water beast lizard”. While it blows that we didn’t get to see this species show up in the final product, it’s still interesting, and I’d like to think we’ll see the creature in full for season 3 (Again, my season 3 idea may or may not be including this particular species).
Pictured here; Thousands of autism creatures going “Yippee!”
The episode then cuts to a tide pool on what will become Europe, where thousands of baby ammonites are hatching into the world. Not only are these lil’ guys adorable as a button, there’s so, SO many of them, which can be a problem when dealing with limited space. In order to get to deeper water, the ammonites straight-up use piles of their own masses like a living wave, allowing them to reach a deeper part of the pool. While a few dozen of these creatures are left stranded on the beach as food for other creatures (Including a pair of adorable Pyroraptor chicks), the vast majority of them reach the sea. Not alot for this segment, but it’s got some things going for it. The question then remains; What species do these tiny autism creatures belong to? That’s a question that’ll be answered in due time…
FREE WILLY!
In a very similar vibe to the T. Rex from the last episode, the next segment shows off how, despite its rather calm manner from Season 1, Mosasaurus was still a formidable predator to behold. Hunting a pod of Tuarangisaurus near a drop off, the giant lizard tries to ambush one of the elasmosaurs. The first attempt, while having a good start, doesn’t end with a kill, so the mosasaur has to try again. The trick is to curve your body into a c-like shape, use your tail to spring yourself off the seafloor, and do it in a manner where your prey can’t see you coming. We then witness one of the greatest visuals in a series already filled to the brim with great visuals, as the Mosasaurus breaches out of the water with a Turangisaurus in his jaws, very similar to how great white sharks do the same with seals. A good point to note is the fact that the PHP team commissioned a study on how mosasaurs like Mosasaurus hunted prey. The creature is not only big and strong, but also fast enough to catch its prey by surprise. The mere impact alone would kill its prey before they get eaten. The fact that the people behind this series commissioned info for the show that ties perfectly into the segment is incredible enough, but they absolutely KNEW how much the shot of the Mosasaurus breaching with its prey would be one of the most famous moments from this season, mainly due to its majesty and power. Not bad at all for a whale-sized Komodo dragon.
This is what dreams are made of. Only with alot more tentacles and shells.
The next segment after the sheer majesty of the Mosasaurus might be not only my favorite episode from this episode, but in the whole series. Y’know those baby ammonites from earlier? Well, a good few of them have survived months at sea, long enough to flow into a seagrass meadow full of their kind. Not only are some bizarre species like Baculites and Diplomoceras here (The latter essentially being a giant, swimming paper clip), the young ammonites we follow are revealed to belong to a species called Nostoceras. The shells of this species consist of a helix spire ending in a U-turn that faces the animal towards its own shell. Is it weird as hell? Yeah, sure. But like the living paper clip that is Diplomoceras, this was a real animal that existed. Alongside the visuals and major focus on the ammonites, another huge reason why I love this scene alot is the music. Prehistoric Planet, as a series, is no stranger towards banger tracks, but this one might be one of the most whimsical, majestic, and alien tracks of both OSTs for the show. Have a listen.
youtube
Imagine a fever dream with that sorta music.
The select choice of instruments used for the track, especially the use of techno noises, all help to solidify what’s basically the theme of the ammonites. Most other forms of paleomedia tend to either use these creatures as nothing more than background visuals, or have them be eaten by larger predators. In the nature of what it sets out to do, the show does these shelled goofs justice yet again. If anything, I wouldn’t be surprised if the show does the same for a species like Parapuzosia. While that particular ammonite species was only around for the early years of the Maasrichtian, it should be worth noting that these creatures grew as big as tractor tires, so I’m hyped to see if the show will do them justice too in the future.
With teeth like those, trips to the dentist must be weird.
The last segment of the episode travels to the South Pole, where pods of Morturneria arrive from their migration. Unlike other elasmosaur species, these guys not only can deal with the chilly water, they also have a unique way of getting food. You see the bristle-like teeth that the mother and her calf in the picture above have? They serve in filtering out small animals that these reptiles get from scooping up mouthfuls of polar mud from the seabed. The Morturneria not only have a feeding behavior similar to gray whales, they also peek out of holes in the sea ice like belugas. Pretty neat way to close out the episode, I must say.
youtube
And if you thought Jaws was scary.
The Uncovered segment for this episode goes more into depth (Pun not intended) about the way mosasaurs used speed to hunt. We’ve already covered alot of that during the Mosasaurus segment, but it’s still neat that the people who’ve worked on this show went and commissioned a scientific study into how these seagoing lizards were faster than we thought.
And that sums up all of the thoughts about my favorite Prehistoric Planet episode. All and all, I had a fun time with it, and I enjoyed the array of fauna shown. With that said, the only complaint that I can bring up is how the episode could’ve used more. Don’t get me wrong, between mosasaurs, ammonites, filter-feeding elasmosaurs, and bulldog-faced fish, we got a solid selection of marine animals in this episode. However, there were more than that in the seas of the Cretaceous. Animals like seagoing pterosaurs, rudist clams that played the role of coral reefs, a tube-nosed sea turtle in the form of Ocepechelon, massive filter-feeding fish like Bonnerichthys, polycotylid plesiosaurs, and especially SHARKS were also around during the Maasrichtian. As much as I wish they were in here too, I had a fun time with this episode as a whole.
We’re nearly at the end of our Season 2 review series, so join me again next time, as we cap off Prehistoric Planet’s second season with not a biome… but an entire continent? I dunno how they came up with that, but it’s gonna be a weirdly neat end to the season as a whole, so stay tuned for the finale of our second trip to the Maasrichtian!

Hello prayers for my cat Simba
I'm sorry if I'm doing this here as by the hour I'm getting more desperate. Please help our cat Simba. He currently has crystals to his bladder that cause blocking of urine and feces. He was needed to be hospitalized but since we cant afford it we take him home for home care and so far it isn't getting any good. He won't eat or drink. He's still a little wobbly due to cathetization early morning. I was advised that he needs to be in catheter for 3 days and IV drip for fluids so that the crystals can be flushed right away. The whole procedure of catheterization cost 4300 PHP around 78USD the whole hospitalization will cost 12000PHP around 217-215 USD. The cathetization already cost us our food or grocery budget for 2-3 weeks. From here on we are just going to survive using eggs and rice as daily meal but I don't mind at all. I want him to survive, he has to survive he's only 2 years old and 5 months. I appreciate any donation and prayers for my cat.
for any in kind donation

He was in catheter again and now on IV we did promissory note in order to have him admitted. we don't have anything valuable so we offer deed of sale of our house but they said they don't consider those item as collateral. some updates!
I am officially discharging in one(1) week! it doesn't feel real yet. I am very nervous about being able to maintain recovery long-term, especially because I still supplement multiple times a day to meet my meal plan due to fullness. and occasionally due to poor food quality, lol.
I did try to get my dietitian to compromise on my meal plan because I physically cannot do it and uh. that did not work. I am not surprised. but like girl i am not gonna supplement myself so we gotta figure something out here
i have my first snack pass tomorrow! I've been eligible for like two weeks but I didn't get around to planning anything bc I was procrastinating but I guess it's happening.
speaking of passes, apparently insurance wants me to do a full day pass to get some practice before i leave. technically that's a phase 3 thing (I'm phase 2) but my team said they'd make an exception. I'm kind of annoyed that I'm doing passesbfor the first time literally my last week here but in a way being responsible for one snack and one meal per day on php is kind of a pass?? I guess?? also even if things go horribly wrong on my theoretical day pass it won't affect my discharge date so part of me is like oh?? this means I can use the behaviors?? but I don't Want To Do That. but also I do.
the meal outing today was to the fucking cheesecake factory 😭 like this had to be some form of cruel and unusual punishment. like first of all it's not that good and second of all the menu has the calories listed AND is like 10182552 pages long AND we were required to get cheesecake with our meals. oh, and they took forever so by the time we got back to programming it was literally time for pm snack 😭🙃 they let us supplement with dinner (thank god) bc what the fuck
that being said it actually wasn't horrendous. like we tried to keep conversations going and no one was (that) fucking weird about what they ordered. the anticipatory anxiety was definitely worse than the actual thing. I had very strong compensatory restriction urges BUT I still completed my silly little meal plan soooo
my mood has been lower the past few days which has led to me bedrotting after programming instead of doing anything which in turn makes me feel worse which makes me not want to do anything wh-- anyway I love living with depression and having a brain that just fucking wakes up sad for no reason
I am fully, painfully aware that I will not have access to my weight starting when I discharge and it's freaking me the fuck out. despite me completing the past few weeks my weight has been stable which is incredibly soothing to my silly brain and has made completion so much easier. my weight has changed very little from what I admitted at and I would love to keep it that way. that being said, no one seems to have any idea of what my set point is, and I Cannot just. trust my body to take care of that for me. i feel like if I just Knew my weight and could therefore "make sure" it isn't going up and maintain my ability to reassure myself, then maybe I can do this. maybe.
like I can tolerate my current body and size and weight and even though my body image fluctuates I can always come back to the fact that things haven't really changed. but I can't fucking do that if I dont know the number. also if I know the number I can "fix" things if it starts going up. fucks sake.
anyway. ive spent way too long on this and it's almost midnight.
tldr things are mostly going well and i discharge in a week and I am still a control freak.

How Udaipur-Based Web Development Companies Are Empowering Local Businesses Online
Udaipur, often called the “City of Lakes,” is known for its rich heritage and scenic beauty. But beyond its traditional charm, Udaipur is also fast emerging as a digital hub in Rajasthan. In recent years, more and more businesses—especially small and medium enterprises—are realizing the power of having a strong online presence. With consumers shifting online for everything from food orders to tourism services, it’s no longer a luxury but a necessity for local businesses to be visible online. That’s where companies like WebSenor step in. As a leading web development company in Udaipur, WebSenor is helping local businesses build their digital identity and thrive in today’s competitive marketplace.
The Growing Need for Digital Transformation in Local Business
For many small businesses in Udaipur—be it a boutique, restaurant, hotel, or shop—going digital can seem overwhelming. Most of them face common hurdles like limited technical know-how, tight budgets, or a lack of trust in technology. But consumer behavior has changed drastically. People now look online first to discover businesses, check reviews, compare products, and make bookings or purchases. Without a website or online presence, local businesses risk becoming invisible to modern consumers. This shift highlights the growing importance of website development for small businesses in Udaipur. Whether it’s an informative website, an online store, or a mobile app, having digital tools is now essential to attract customers, build credibility, and compete with larger players.
How Web Development Companies Are Addressing This Need
Web development companies in Udaipur are playing a vital role in bridging this gap. By offering tailored services, they ensure local businesses get what they need without burning a hole in their pocket. Many businesses are now opting for custom website development in Udaipur, where developers create solutions that fit their specific needs. For example, hotels in Udaipur benefit from booking-enabled websites, while local shops get eCommerce functionality. Most importantly, these websites are built with mobile users in mind. Since a large portion of internet traffic in India comes from smartphones, having a mobile-friendly website in Udaipur is no longer optional—it's critical.
Additionally, companies integrate tools like local SEO, WhatsApp chats, digital payments, and even review platforms to help businesses not only look good online but also function smoothly and reach more customers.
WebSenor’s Role in Udaipur’s Digital Evolution
Among the top web development agencies in Udaipur, WebSenor stands out with its deep roots in the local ecosystem and a reputation for delivering results. Founded over a decade ago, WebSenor has built hundreds of websites and apps for businesses across Rajasthan and beyond. Their team includes full-stack developers in Udaipur, PHP developers, designers, and digital strategists—all working together to create powerful web solutions. One of WebSenor’s major strengths is understanding local business needs. Whether it's a family-run hotel or a startup looking to sell handmade products, the team crafts strategies that make sense for that specific business model.
Client Success Highlight:A local boutique hotel approached WebSenor with zero online presence. Within three months, WebSenor delivered a sleek website with integrated booking, local SEO, and high-quality imagery. The hotel saw a 40% increase in direct bookings and now ranks on the first page for key travel searches. This kind of real impact showcases WebSenor's authority in the web development space and why many consider it the best web development company in Udaipur.

Empowering Local Entrepreneurs: Real Impact Stories
1. Tourism Startup Success
A group of young entrepreneurs wanted to launch a local tour guide booking platform. WebSenor built a fully responsive, user-friendly website with real-time bookings, guide profiles, and mobile payment support. Within six months, the platform onboarded 100+ guides and handled over 500 bookings.
2. Traditional Craft Store Goes Global
A handicraft shop from Udaipur wanted to go online. WebSenor designed a Shopify-based store with global shipping support. The store now receives orders from customers in the US, UK, and Australia.
3. Digital Presence for a Local School
A private school lacked a digital profile. WebSenor created a clean, informative website with application forms, notices, and gallery sections. Now, parents find it easier to engage with the school, and admissions have increased.
These stories show how digital tools can create tangible business outcomes, and how affordable web developers in Udaipur like WebSenor are making that possible.
Building Trust Through Transparency and Support
Trust is a major factor for small businesses investing in digital solutions. WebSenor recognizes this and works with complete transparency—from pricing to delivery timelines.
Their process includes:
Free consultations to understand business needs
Detailed proposals with no hidden charges
Regular updates during project execution
Post-launch support and training for clients
More importantly, they don’t vanish after launching a site. WebSenor builds long-term relationships by offering support, updates, and guidance even after the project ends. This approach is what makes them a reliable digital agency in Udaipur.
Future of Web Development in Udaipur and WebSenor’s Vision
As the digital space continues to evolve, trends like AI chatbots, voice search, and progressive web apps are becoming more common. WebSenor is actively researching and adopting these technologies to keep its clients ahead. The team is also investing in training and tools to deliver smarter solutions—like analytics-driven websites, AI-powered chat assistants, and cloud-based web apps. Tagalinis Lang? Bakit Hindi Mo Subukang Gawin?: Ang Mababang Pagtingin ng mga Pilipino sa Service Workers
Likha ni Rima Millora ng UPIS Media Center 2026
Narinig na siguro natin ang kasabihan na: “A person who is nice to you but rude to the waiter – or to others – is not a nice person” mula sa librong ‘Swanson’s Unwritten Rules of Management’ ni Raytheon CEO William H. Swanson.
A Governance Framework For Workers In The Gig Economy” (Tacadao, 2024). Ani naman ni Gamboa (2025), isang abogado sa Fairwork Philippines, “Gig workers in the Philippines are not yet considered as employees, meaning they are beyond the protection of the Philippine Labor Code.”
