What Zabb Man!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
quick pitch
What Zabb Man!
(Thailand April-May on YouTube)
8/10
Main Tropes: enemies to lovers, tsundere/tsundere, rich/poor, foodie romance, CEO
Tumblr media
It's like Star Hunter has FINALLY grown up with this show.
WZM was better than we have any right to expect with decent pacing and a foodie theme threaded through the narrative as both love language and plot driver - which I have been WAITING for. Basically CEO falls in love with a street vendor’s food, recruits him to work in his hotel, falls in love with him, and that’s the beginning. Class struggles! Kitchen drama! Papaya pounding (not a euphemism)! Chef poaching (not literally)! Spicy scenes (yes literally)! It’s all so delicious.
Star Hunter... did you serve this one up just for little old me? Sure seems like, since no one else consumed it. Well... I do have a high space tolerance.
Tumblr media
I think I have finally figured out Star Hunter’s brand: CHEEKY.
Will this review be full of food puns.
Oh yes indeed.
Tumblr media
Sure this show gets absurdly over cooked and falling apart messy in tone, it's like Star Hunter just CAN'T help but over egg the plotting (see what I did there). I imagine their workshopping is a hoot, it's a bunch of young actors being ridiculous, and the chaos just leaks onto the screen. But all the acting is on point, and ... FOOD!
Tumblr media
(Yes I have eaten my body weight to som tum. Why do you ask?)
The leads are actually pretty good (previous in Hidden Love).
Poon is a great character because he is tsundere WITH good reason. And he’s portrayed with depth and sweetness for all his salty pride.
Also I'm not opposed to a bit of a CEO romance in my BL. Alpha being won over by love and som tum, tasty.
Tumblr media
But what I really loved was that Athip loves Poon first for his food. When Poon runs away Athip finds him because of his food. Arthip begs forgiveness by eating Poon’s food.
Tumblr media
But it’s PokeTongue (AKA BankBonus who play Teng & Mayom) who once more steal the bacon. Honestly they dominated Gen Y 2 and now they are doing it again. Just give them their own show already!
They absolutely crackle on screen together and it’s such fun to watch, who cares about plot?
Tumblr media
Thai language moment: Pronouns
Teng & Mayom’s relationship negotiation scene (see image above) jumped around between pronouns khun/ter for you & pom/rao for I so much I couldn’t follow the nuances at all. But I can say that that pronoun hopping was part of the negotiation of intimacy between them, and changes the whole tenor of the scene.
This is one of those I wish we had translator notes on.
Tumblr media
Food moment: Mayom
Star gooseberry (Phyllanthus acidus) is no relation to the gooseberry (Ribes) many of use grew up with in the UK. They tase a little similar in that (like cranberrys for the US folkz) they are sour and astringent, but they grow on a tree (not a bush) and are quite cute.
Tumblr media
More on Mayom & Teng
For this particular couple I liked their claiming segment.
First I should say I'm starting to notice faen being translated more as “partner” instead of boyfriend, or VERY rarely “lover.” I’m not sure this is more or less accurate, it’s certainly more precise, but there’s just no direct translation so part of me wants them to leave it faen at this point.
We should all just learn it and adopt the word into English, it’s a better gender neutral term than anything we got. Lover is overly explicit and old fashioned. Significant other is awfully stiff and cumbersome. Partner has multiple non-romantic meanings, especially in a workplace setting.
Faen is a good word, single syllable, easy to say, nice mouth feel, pretty, reminds me of the Scots fain (which has a LOVELY meaning).
Still it’s certainly interesting to see “partner” start happening in BL, adds to the modern feel. Like they’ve been listening to the queers, again.
(I expanded on my faen feels because of comments.)
Tumblr media
Secondly, because Teng broke up with his ex due to the closet, this is one instance where Mayom’s possessiveness is justified by the narrative since Teng needs it to feel confident in their relationship. Hence the live broadcast claiming scene.
In the end, this was the foodie romance set in the Thai Restaurant industry I have always wanted. The machinations of being in food service formed not just setting but also plot. Perhaps if Bite Me, Love Area and some of the ones from Korea (My Sweet Dear, Tasty Florida, Ocean Likes Me, To My Star) hadn’t disappointed me in this regard, I wouldn’t be so generous with this show. And to be fair, it probably should get a 7/10 by my normal standards. But What Zabb Man was cooked up exactly to suit my palate (and apparently no one else’s) so it gets a 8/10.
RECOMMENDED, especially if you like Thai food.

THERAPEUTIC POTENTIALS OF BIOSYNTHESIZED SILVER NANOPARTICLES FROM Phyllanthus amarus LEAF AGAINST RESISTANT CLINICAL BACTERIAL ISOLATES |  Journal of International Research in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences
The endurance of infectious agents to medications is a serious danger worldwide. This endurance to medications implies increase in number of death that can leads to decrease in human population. Antibiotic resistance mostly triggered by antibiotic resistance gene (ARG) is the most terrifying. The present therapeutic measures used on antibiotic enduring bacteria have a setback like its inability to kill the target bacteria. Both the search and interest for brand-new therapeutics that can overpower this setback has preceded to massive investigation on plants phytochemicals. Preparations from plants sources tend to be favourable with little or no side effects in comparison with synthetic drugs. Nevertheless curative attribute of preparations from plant sources becomes conceded as a result of their little bio-obtainability. Incorporation of the plants phytochemicals with innovative methods of delivery in form of nanocarriers can overpower this setback. The aim of the research is to verify the therapeutic and ethnopharmacological potentials of bio-synthesized AgNPs from Phyllanthus amarus plant leaf as an antibacterial agent against resistant bacterial isolates. Preliminary phytochemical analysis showed the presence of flavonoids, saponins, tannins, glycosides and triterpenoids. The in vitro antibacterial activity of biologically synthesized AgNPs from Phyllanthus amarus aqueous leaf extract was determined by agar disc diffusion and broth dilution methods. The results of the bioassay obtained showed that the biologically synthesized AgNPs had antibacterial potential against the clinical resistance bacterial isolates. Both the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) for the biologically synthesized AgNPs ranges from 125µg/ml-500 µg/ml.

(Not comprehensive) What to expect for riparian zones in orv confluence.
it’s the best time of year to fen hop here in Ohio but before anyone does that a pilgrimage to a less addressed habitat is necessary and fun, its check on mudflats in western Ohio time;
I just spent a few solid days botanizing some of Ohio’s most classic habitats.
Two mudflat locations: Little Miami meets ORV and Great Miami meets ORV. (though a weirder one is the ancient oxbow flats of the Great Miami. BTW ORV is Ohio River Valley.
A group of really good friends and I got together and tried to hit the Shawnee lookout giant ragweed thickets(15 foot tall this year with native amaranth mixed in at similar height)  Each year a few people check this spot earlier and than a few later for a tricky plant not seen since 2010 called Orobanche riparia
Tumblr media
which may or may not be state extirpated from TN WV VA and OH. these are only affiliated with confluence zones and specifically Ancient ragweed thicket communities. Normally Ragweed is 7 foot max, and dies every year, falluvium(alluvium displaced by frequent floods), buries these past frost lines and their roots are insulated. and the stems are more supported at the base.
while being a classic rare species, Japanese hops have now made it extremely problematic to spot and so it remains elusive.
while the 3 giant amaranth and 8 species of Persicaria are present with the cockerburl and ragweed along with florida and giant lettuce; It’s also notable that rough barnyard grass and two other river bank giant ragweed thicket rarities are also present. https://explorer.natureserve.org/Taxon/ELEMENT_GLOBAL.2.155128/Ripariosida_hermaphrodita  virginia riverbank mallow and ....
Tumblr media
Nabalus crepidineus
Tumblr media
Flood plain woods: wood nettle, greenheaded cone flower, panicled fall phlox, cup plant, Jerusalem artichoke, 2 Persicaria spp., more angry hops, 2 common Rubus spp. (black cap and Alleghany), Monarda serotina, more lettuce, both of Ohio’s jewel weed.
Silt formed Mudflats:
It’s ok though because the disturbance is still frequent in some sections and many rare sedges and rushes exist as well as mud flat species can be seen as preserved. These are very small species that thrive on silt
the map above is for a species that recently got split again after already being split from drummunds’ bull rush. Now called dwarf bull rush and went through a new genera name too. River dwarf bull rush is no longer Hemicarpha micrantha and is now Lipocarpha micrantha.
Others of notable interest in flat: Kyllinga pumila,  Paspalum fluitans,  Myosurus minimus(adventive), Cyperus acuminatus,
both toothleafs are present too. Ammania coccinea(sessile peduncle and least common) and Ammania robusta(most common) for ohio.,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
another classic forbe thats pretty darn common is obi wan conobea usually with carolina geranium not far apart,
green, dentate, davids, prostrate, true spotted, and Phyllanthus caroliniensis along with multiple copper leaves are present.
(plenty of other sedges but I can’t think of all the ones Dan Boone has tried to teach me there.)
Broken bank( sand cut banks):
alleghany monkey flower, blue siphilis lobellia, indian tobacco inflated lobellia, common milkweed, 3 uncommon Rubus spp. all adventive except for one that looks like a glaberous prickily virginia creeper vine Rubus trivialis . We also see both swamp and ciliate margin loose strife, two figworts, and cockerburl again along with 4 native persicaria, 2 native day flower(Commelina spp.), 3 seedbox/ludwigs (Ludwigia spp.), waterspeedwell Veronica catenata ,
mints are well represented: 3 Stachys spp. water hoarhound, american germander, 3 potential Monarda spp. (bubblegun, basal white, and M. serotina), both ciliate and hairy wood mints.
Classic creeping fabaceae are: Amphicarpaea bracteata and Apios americana.
Gravel point bar:
lance leaf frog fruit, smooth scouring rush, verticilate scouring rush, and rough scouring rush, smooth rush, green bull rush, the brown tall giant one, 3 sided rush, big bluestem? some how?,  button bush, both the common hibiscus, sand bar and black willows, water willow(not a willow), lizard tail(the fruitloop smelling one).
Note:
If you want someone who knows more about this habitat than anyone else, Dan Boone is probably the person to ask.

How to make whitening cream for business?
Tumblr media
Even though being outside in the sun feels good, it can be very bad for your face. Even though skin cancer is a big health concern, the sun can also make your skin darker or give you dark spots. Best of all, you probably already have everything you need to make one in your home. If your skin is oily, try making a simple skin whitening cream with lemons. If your skin is dry, try nuts.
You can't stress enough how important it is to take care of your face. It's the biggest organ in the body and the first line of defense against sickness and infection. So, if you see spots, dark spots, or other problems with the color of your skin, you should do what you can to stop further damage. The good news is that you can fix many color issues on your own. This piece will talk about eight things you can do at home to lighten your skin and get rid of any dark spots or spots that don't look good.
Whiten the Skin with Citrus Extracts
Lemon juice and orange peels can be used to naturally lighten the face. They have a lot of vitamin C, which is important for making the collagen fibers for face whitening creams that keep your skin tight and help it stay strong. When put on the skin, vitamin C has been shown to slow down melanocytes that are working too fast. These are the cells in the lower layers of the skin that make melanin, which makes the skin "tan" or get darker.
Kojic Acid
kojic acid is a white, crystalline powder that comes from a fungus in Asia. It has been used in Japan for a long time as a natural alternative to hydroquinone and is very good at lightening dark spots on the face. The American Academy of Dermatologists says that clinical tests have shown that kojic acid can lessen hyperpigmentation. It works by stopping tyrosinase, the protein that makes melanin, from doing its job. It also works as an antioxidant and is good for skin that has been hurt by the sun or is sensitive.
Licorice Extract
In Chinese medicine, the juice made from the roots of the licorice plant has been used for a long time to treat all kinds of skin problems. In the early 1990s, Japanese scientists found the compound glabridin in licorice. This compound blocks UVA and UVB rays and makes the skin whiter and brighter.
A clinical study that was released in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry showed that glabridin could block the enzyme tyrosinase, which makes melanin, by up to 50% without hurting skin cells. Licorice extract is good for treating post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which includes dark spots. It can use to reverse the damage that cause by acne scars, and it has anti-inflammatory qualities that help soothe the skin and reduce redness.
Extract of Bearberry
This part of the plant comes from the leaves instead of the fruit. Bearberry, also called bear grape, is an astringent that uses in many beauty products. It includes Alpha arbutin, which is known to lighten the skin quickly.
It shows that arbutin can reduce freckles, dark spots, and other skin problems. A study done by the drug company Pentapharm found that 1% Alpha arbutin had a "skin-lightening effect" that was even better than the same dose of hydroquinone.
Bearberry extract is also helpful because it includes filters that protect against the sun. These filters may help reduce the amount of "tanning" after being in the sun, which can slow or even reverse signs of aging on the skin.
The Gooseberry (Phyllanthus Emblica).
The extract from this plant is full of Vitamin C and has antimicrobial and antioxidant qualities. Emblica extract keeps the skin from getting damaged by the sun and helps remove discoloration.
Researchers have found that Emblica protects the skin from oxidative stress, reduces wrinkles, controls the production of melanin, and helps the skin keep its natural wetness.
The Gigawhite
Gigawhite is a brightener for the face that has a patent and works well to treat dark spots and melasma. It comes from seven Swiss mountain plants that grow in an organic way. These plants include peppermint, common mallow, and primula (cowslip).
Extract the White Mulberry
The white mulberry tree (Morus alba) is from China and has been found to be good for your health in many ways. It can also help whiten the face and protect against heart disease, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide)
Niacinamide, another name for vitamin B3, stops the production of melanin, a pigment. When added to face creams, it also works well to lighten the skin. When put on the skin, vitamin B helps it keep water. Water makes it feel softer and smoother and reduces fine lines.
Most things you can buy online will have a full list of the ingredients to take a quick look at it before you buy. The ingredients you choose will, of course, rely on what you want to happen.
Then after making, the most important thing is that how to pack your cream? so I suggested you to use customize boxes for cream which play an important role in protecting as well as promoting your product.
So, There are a lot of man-made chemicals in the face brightening creams that you can buy. Even though they are made with approved formulas. They still have many stabilizers and chemicals we don't want. So, in this post, we'll look at some ideas you can use to make your own skin-brightening cream at home.
