Vocal cats are the best what do you mean kitty can say hello like a human child? She says prrp to let you know where she is because she can't say psst, and the closest thing to psst in cat language is in fact a grievous insult. She goes "hmm?" when you call her. She almost says let's go when she calls you for food. If she could say t or g she would say let's go perfectly. She says I love you. I mean it's closer to maiyowoo but it's close enough for an animal that doesn't have human or bird vocal cords.

i think it's like... kind of charming and moe when character have weird or wrong or just kind of questionable beliefs about the world. sometimes these beliefs lead them to murder and other times the epistemological blind spot is subtler and therefore funnier, often best when it's not directly related to the plot but to who they are it makes sense—characters who exist in certain subcultures will adopt certain beliefs, no matter how bizarre outside that culture, or their predisposition towards certain truths biases them towards certain lies or narratives about the world. poor epistemology is interesting because almost no one has a flawless system of understanding the world and we're all kind of just trying to make sense of it, and if you think closely there's something genuinely enlightening about a character who is more or less on the same page as you except for a few critical diversions like they're a supplement junkie or believe contradictory to all presented evidence that there are crocodiles in the sewers or they're very superstitious or believe in astrology or something else, like it's interesting to see the framework under which that is logical, reasonable, sensible, or maybe even desirable.
