これまでPixel7aを使ってきたが、2週間程前から突然シャットダウンを繰り返したり、急激にバッテリーが減少する現象が生じていた。調べてみると同様の現象が数多く報告されており、リチウムイオン電池の不具合のようだ。Pixel7a自体がハズレ機種のようである。

4年は使おうと思っていたのに、Pixel9aの発売直前にこのような現象が起きるなんて、まさに「Googleタイマー」が発動したようだ。これでは何もできないので、大至急Pixel9aを発注。価格は本体8万円。スマホケースとガラスフィルム合計で87000円。痛い出費となった。
