#gravity falls #Pacifica Northwest #Stanley Pines #Stanford Pines #Stowaway AU #my art #doodles #sorry I’ve been gone a while been busy with project and just plain general work #but had some free time today and finally put pen to paper on an idea I’ve had a for a while now!#Pacifica calls Stan by his name but still calls Ford Mr Pines because she’s got that ettiquette and fear of authority ingrained in her #but Stan is a bugger so she feels better just calling him Stan lol #this is honestly just a roundabout way of saying Stan is naturally good with kids I think #the more paternal grunkle lol #Also I feel like ghost rules in the show are ghosts can change their perception based on how powerful they are #since sometimes they’re invisible or unseen by people unless the ghost wills it (i.e. inconveniencing)#but Pacifica’s just too ghost pilled so she’s always seeing them regardless #Ford is very interested in the science of how this works and Stan has to remind him she’s still trying to get over trauma give her a second #I feel like after this summer at least specifically for this AU she’d end up staying with either Soo and Melody or the Corduroys #Soos might even say they’re siblings since he also sees Stan as a father figure and then Pacifica says ‘dang guess I gotta go die now’#from embarrassment lol

It’s Fine Press Friday!

Suite Lirica: En Homenaje a Wallace Stevens is built around a poem by Spanish writer José María Martín Triana. The book opens with Wallace Steven’s poem, “Final Soliloquy of the Interior Paramour,” which served as Martín Triana’s inspiration; his own poem is then presented in Spanish, after which follows a translation into English by Alastair Reid. American writer and children's book illustrator Leo Lionni illustrated the book with intaglio prints pulled by Gino Berardinelli. Gabriel Rummonds and Alessandro Zanella of Plain Wrapper Press printed the book in Verona, Italy, in 1982, in a limited edition of ninety copies, each signed by Triana and Lionni.

Handset monotype Dante was printed on Cartiere Enrico Magnani handmade paper. The top edge of the paper is gilded, and the sides and bottom finish in deckles. An author’s note before the colophon was translated by Rummonds. The Plain Wrapper press printer’s mark adorns the burgundy box. The spine is quarter bound in goatskin, with dyed vellum covering the boards.

In his note, Martín Triana explains his “devotion” to Stevens, an artist after “the true meaning of things.” He contrasts this impulse with what he disparaged as the “Carnavalesque falseness” of contemporary Spanish literary trends. He suggests that the book “could easily have been called Variations on the Final Soliloguy of the Interior Paramour, not only as an homage of devotion to Stevens, but also as an indication of my complete acceptance of the ideas of the most European of American poets” of the 20th century.

This book comes to us from the collection of Jerry Buff (1931-2025).

Imagine how your f/o wraps gifts, be it for the holidays or just your birthday.

Are they really good? Is it a clean wrap first try or do they need to scrap the whole thing couple time to get it correct?

Are they really bad? Do they try their hardest but you can still see bits poking out?

Do they use ribbon? Stick on bows?

Plain or patterned paper?

Or maybe they'll use bags!

Do they tape it shut or fill it with paper then?
