Please Help Us Out With Bills

Currently, I'm virtually unemployed due to health issues and my employer all but refuses to give me short term disability pay because I don't have a diagnosis yet. I'm doing DoorDash as much as I can, which brings in ~$150 a week if that. It leaves my roommate, @kitthekazoo, to cover most of the mutual bills - like rent - virtually on her own. But that does mean she can't pay her own bills (like car and insurance) after paying the second half of our rent this month.

Like I said, I'm doing DoorDash around doctor's appointments and other activities, like school (which is paid for by my employer, who I still technically work for, I'm just on an extended medical leave - it's excused time off, but I don't get paid at all), but that doesn't bring in much. My checking account (where my DD money goes) is negative almost $400 because things keep taking out and every single one of those charges also incurs an insufficient funds fee of $31.

I would need ~$750 just to get positive enough to pay Kit back for my half of this rent payment. Plus I have my own bills to pay - car insurance, credit cards I'm desperately trying to catch up with the payments on, gas so I can keep doing DD, etc.

I know it's a lofty goal, but getting $1k by the end of the month will keep us sane and housed while I navigate my medical issues. Hopefully, after we run a few tests next week, they'll have a better idea of what's going on and when I'll be able to go back to work, and these money issues won't keep coming up...

For some unknown and unknowable reason, my brain has decided to taunt me with the idea of all the 'eligible' Dwarves in the Company having a crush on Bilbo. Naturally I only know the movie canon which treats all of them as simply walking exposition dispensaries and not characters with their own personalities, so I'm making a lot of things up on the fly here.

I've already got Ori trying to 'woo' Bilbo with books (Bilbo is utterly and completely unaware of said 'wooing'), but I'd love to get ideas for the others.

For clarity, the Dwarves being featured will be: Ori, Nori, Bofur, Bombur, Fili, Kili, Dwalin, and Thorin.

(I'm leaving the others out due to either age, personal headcanons on their private lives, or canon relationships)

So if anyone has ideas for how the others could attempt to 'woo' Bilbo, feel free to jot them down in the notes and I'll use my favourites (with credit)

Tomorrow is a special day so I'm going to try not to be my usual self. Here is a fun halal eggnog recipe a Muslim lady posted in a local home-cooking Facebook group. Hope everybody has a good celebration with full bellies and hearts all around.

S.H. Abdul Hamid's Halal Eggnog Ingredients: 1 egg 1 cup of fresh milk/ water mixed with 4 tablespoons of powdered milk/ 1/2 cup of whipped cream with 1/2 cup of water 1 tablespoon of sugar (to taste also fine) 1 drop of vanilla essence 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg 1/2 tablespoon of custard powder (optional) Steps: 1. Mix everything together and pour it into a pot to heat on a medium-low flame 2. Stir so that it is evenly dense until the liquid has thickened a little 3. Serve hot or cold 4. Can be decorated with a cream swirl with some cinnamon/nutmeg sprinkled on, and a cinnamon stick 5. Enjoy
