Solar balconies are booming in Germany

Solar balconies are a piece of the wider energy transition across Europe, explains Jan Osenberg, a policy advisor at the SolarPower Europe association.

“We see them as a subset of rooftop solar, but also as something different,” he tells Euronews Green. “We basically see it as a trend to use all possible artificial infrastructure for solar generation.”

Train tracks, motorways, carparks, car roofs, cemeteries and building facades… the list of structures getting a solar makeover goes on and on.

Plug & Play Kits

From a customer point of view, the main difference is that balcony PV is much easier to install. You can buy the kit online, and don’t need an electrician to set it up. Unlike for rooftop installations, where certified installers are recommended to avoid fire risks and damage to the structure.

In short: the panels are put on a mounting structure and attached via cables to an inverter that converts the electricity from DC to AC, which goes into your socket via a regular plug.

Who are solar balconies for?

“The main reason for the success of balcony solar systems is that it gives people the chance to use solar who weren’t able to use it before,” says a spokesperson for German manufacturer Meyer Burger.

“Most people don’t own a house, or they cannot install rooftop solar because of heritage protection, shading, or other constructional conditions of the roof. For them, balcony solar is appealing because they can use solar power to generate their own electricity and reduce their electric bills.”

Former Chibi-Robo! developers announce robot action adventure game koROBO for consoles, PC - Gematsu

Tiny Wonder Studio, a new game development studio featuring key members from Chibi-Robo! series creators Skip, Ltd., have announced koROBO, a new action adventure game that follows a pint-sized robot named koROBO and his owner Tom. Kickstarter and Campfire campaigns have launched with the goal to launch on modern consoles and PC.

koROBO is an action adventure game follows the story of a pint-sized robot named “koROBO” and his owner, Tom, a young boy who receives koROBO as a gift from his father on his 10th birthday. Players step into the tiny but mighty shoes of koROBO, embarking on a thrilling and heartfelt journey that starts in Tom’s room and unfolds into a world-changing adventure.

■ Story

Sometimes it takes the smallest hero to fulfill the greatest destiny! Somewhere in the borough of Brocklyn, nestled within the urban jungle of New Yock City, Tom and his mother are celebrating his 10th birthday. When a wrapped present arrives from his estranged father, Tom rips through it, excited to see what’s inside. What he finds is not the coolest and latest in tiny household robo tech, but some knockoff model. “koROBO?” But before long, koROBO is cleaning the home, helping Tom with his homework, and even playing games and reading comics with him like a brother. What will koROBO’s arrival have in store for Tom, his family and perhaps, the world? koROBO‘s story unfolds inside Tom’s family apartment in Brocklyn, New Yock. Players take on the role of the pint-sized hero. As koROBO, they will help out the family, perform tasks around the home, meet the many denizens that inhabit the apartment building, and defend Tom and those he loves from a mysterious enemy… that can travel through space-time?

■ Gameplay

Tiny Hero, Big Adventure

koROBO‘s core gameplay involves traversing around the family’s home, cleaning up messes, and solving problems wherever they can be found–a big ask for such a tiny hero! Be careful, though! koROBO’s battery is limited, and performing tasks will drain it even faster. While more popular robots require owners to plug into adventure, Tom has modified koROBO to bathe in some rays in order to charge the solar battery strapped to their back. Players will have to keep an eye out for patches of sunlight to make sure koROBO keeps running at peak capacity! While exploring Tom’s apartment building, players won’t just be helping out him and his family. There’s a whole host of kooky denizens living their lives that koROBO will encounter. As koROBO, players can talk to these characters and help solve their problems to unlock some of his most powerful upgrades!

Better, Faster, Stronger

Players can collect items as they clean and explore to upgrade koROBO and what they can do. While koROBO will start out being able to run, jump, and glide, in time he’ll also be able to fly, swim, and even travel through time…? But wait, there’s more! koROBO isn’t the only toy in Tom’s retinue. Players will discover new miniature friends and gain an assortment of attachments that’ll allow koROBO to adventure and sometimes even fight in new and exciting ways! The parts players will need to find for their upgrades can be found all over the house, each with a rarity color denoting how difficult it will be to obtain them. Players should collect as many as they can to upgrade koROBO!

House of Future Past

While koROBO has a whole apartment to clean and explore, players will be doing much more than just merely traveling around the home while helping the family. Eventually, koROBO will unlock the radical ability to travel through time—at the mere touch of its tiny fingertips…?

■ The Cast

koROBO “Robotic Cleandroid”

A robot gifted to Tom on his 10th birthday, and the pint-sized hero of our adventure, koROBO is given to Tom by his estranged father. koROBO isn’t strong by any means, but he’s got a go-getter attitude and a mischievous streak. koROBO helps out by cleaning up, helping Tom with his homework, and more. But will he have what it takes to fill the void that separates Tom’s family?

Tom “Ten Year-Old Tinkerer”

A homebody by nature, Tom has few friends and spends much of his time in his room making modifications to his collection of toys and machines. While he rarely sees his dad after his parents divorced, he sometimes receives toys and other tchotchkes from his dad’s travels around the world.

Sally “The Mother of Invention?”

Originally from Japan, Sally now raises Tom on her own in their apartment in Brocklyn. Sally hates when things are in disarray, and gets frustrated with Tom when he says things that don’t seem to make sense. While she and Tom’s father enjoyed a whirlwind romance, she eventually divorced him when his lust for travel grew too strong. Strong-willed and kind-hearted, she once dreamed of becoming a singer but now works as a waitress in a cafe to make ends meet.

John “Wanderlust King”

Tom’s father. Considered an eccentric by some and a genius engineer by others, John and Sally were madly in love in their youth. However, when Tom was five, John left mysteriously, leaving only a note behind that read, “I’m leaving to protect you.” Despite the distance between the two, Tom clearly gets his love of mechanics from his father.

Garth Vader (Real Name: Unknown)

A suspicious figure seen wandering around the courtyard of the apartment building, plenty of rumors have surfaced about the truth surrounding Garth. Some say that he’s fallen to the dark side and is plotting to take over the world. Others suggest that he’s simply the building’s super, watering the plants, feeding the birds, and tending to the plumbing. No one actually speaks to Garth, though, so the truth remains shrouded in mystery.

A World in Crisis

It is the year 2025, and the world is dealing with a looming energy crisis. Fossil fuels are quickly becoming unreliable as a fuel source, and humanity teeters hopelessly on the edge. Even in these most dire times, however, hope springs eternal in the hearts and minds of those that believe in a better tomorrow. When the world needs it most, one pint-sized hero could be the catalyst that sets humanity on a new path, one that would change the course of history forever: koROBO!

The Brocklyn Apartment

While traversing a living room or kitchen might not seem like a monumental task, things look a lot different when you’re a tiny, highly-motivated robot. While well-placed book piles and a toppled over chair might offer koROBO assistance in getting to hard-to-reach places throughout the home, it would be impossible for them to get to the hardest to reach places all on their own. koROBO is going to need a little help!

Tom’s Room

One might look at Tom’s room and see the messy room of a lazy kid, but that’s far from the truth. If one were to look closer, one would instead see the workshop and playground of a gifted child, wildly imaginative and naturally inclined to work with electronics. Tom’s room is full of toys, tools, and electronics in various states of tinkering. One boy’s garbage is another boy’s treasure, and Tom’s room is a treasure trove for koROBO. What new treasure will be uncovered while exploring Tom’s room?

Tiny Wonder Studio is reaching out to fans for their support in bringing koROBO to life. The full story of Island of Wakfu

The introduction sequence shows an egg-like planet, the color of Stasis, from which a large meteor is seen shooting through space, hurtling toward the Eliatropes' planet.

A Thousand Mysteries

"The joy of a sweet summer afternoon for our Mysteries. rejoice, Eliatropes! The day has finally come!" - Pulva

These sacred rites, bathed"s with solar flares, complete our work in honor of your glory, Goddess." - Mina

Chapter 1: The Sanctuary

Stook

Sent to look for Waki Wa on the sacred Goddess island, Nora and Efrim meet Stook on the way, a "former Eliacube" who tells them that Master Qilby has disappeared and that something is going on between him and the king (Yugo). They then meet Glip for their Wakfung trial, after which he sends them on their way to the Goddess Shrine.

At the shrine, Mina announces that the Goddess has called them. The statue of Eliatrope beseeches them to pass her three Veils in order to meet her in her abode. To begin, she requests an offering for her face – a feather from a blue Tofu –, one for her tears – a cup, made of the bark of a singing tree – and one for her hair – a comb made of a silver scale from an Oracle fish.

They gather the first two items without difficulty, then meet the Oracle fish at the pond:

«  I need to show you something; in a distant place, across dimensions... On an island in time, your fate hangs in the balance. I need you to understand how to change it. — Oracle »

He warns them that everyone's Wakfu will be eaten by an unknown force, that they are their last defense, and gives them "the dream power to fight." To hand them a scale, he introduces them to the mighty Platypus, who will assist them later.

Having collected all three offerings, they present them to the shrine. The Goddess warns them that doom is already upon them. They must pass the three Veils and are sent to the forest to learn teleportation with Glip.

Chapter 2: The Forest

« Learning is a game. When you play a game, you learn the rules and logic, while trying to be the most creative and free under its constraints. This, my children, is the true way to learn ». - Baltazar

« We are not the only inhabitants of this world. The Goddess is at the origin of everything. We are all brothers and sisters, but we must not stagnate. for Wakfu is movement, and stagnation sin. » - Chibi

Glip teaches Nora the basics of teleportation, but as they progress through the forest, they find Prespics. This link will take you to our sister Wikia, Dofus Wiki made aggressive by the Stasis that has fallen in the forest. Nora and Efrim fight their way through and rejoin with Glip deeper into the forest, near a Stasis meteorite. Glip explains that Stasis was forbidden by Chibi the prophet, but that this rock is somehow different. For now, he will only tell them that Stasis is "anti-Wakfu." A little further, they find Chibi's Great Hall, a sanctuary where Stasis is forbidden.

« Chibi was the first to cross the third Veil. This is where he died. His body is here, a tiny spark of Wakfu still trapped in his bones. » — Glip

Inside, a skeleton rests on a rocking chair. Nora's Eliacube comments:

« Stiff, smelly... Yep, seems like a corpse, all right... Look closely. Is it real? I wonder how the prophet REALLY died... And aren't Eliatropes supposed to be immortal? Chibi was our Prophet, but he was also a great poet. He left many poems, known as Mysteries, behind in this world. This Iwak is a plug-in allowing me to decode Chibi's Mysteries. » — Nora's Eliacube

A tooltip adds that "Mysteries are pages from Chibi's secret Herbarium. Each mystery tells a long-lost tale."

Chapter 3: The Meadow

« These flowers that we call Manolia, each of them is an individual, a singular being. Their roots feed on the core of Wakfu: the heart of our, a whirling vortex, breaking its waves on our shores. » - Mina

« All Manolias are linked to a network called Wik-Fi, a precious gift. We, Eliatropes, use it to connect our Eliacubes and communicate. And so we talk with flowers, and through flowers. » - Chibi

"He has no time for the dark roots at his fingertips; the buds on the roots, their promise, not time. It is the most beautiful flower of the field he desires." - Shinonome

Back in the meadow, Mina shows Nora and Efrim how to interact with Wakfu creatures and flowers using Wakfu and Stasis. She then sends them on their way to Vili Summit for the ritual of Chibi's rebirth. The ritual is a symbolic representation of Chibi's resurrection in his Holy Egg. There is a legend that says maybe, one day, the Prophet will be reborn... and this may be the day. There is a large egg and a Dragoturkey This link will take you to our sister Wikia, Dofus Wiki, which according to Mina is too weak to crack the egg. Efrim forces the egg open, but "as always," the Prophet is not reborn. They proceed higher up the mountain to find Tina, their "most precious flower."

« It is Chibi's soul, his gift, an heirloom for us to tend. We must see Tina bloom. Then, perhaps, Chibi will come. «  — Mina

Efrim breathes on Tina to make her bloom, to no avail, and Grougaloragran calls out to Mina, saying he must speak to the initiates at once. Mina opens an Eliatrope path (similar to a trail of successive portals) to the lake for them.

« Something has happened to the King's Palace. Qilby has betrayed his people! We're at war with invaders from the sky. Soon the threat will be upon this Sanctuary. The King is dead... but all hope is not lost. He will be reborn in his Royal Egg, his Dofus, along with his Dragon, Adamai. The King's Dofus is in the forest, in the hands of our ancestors. » — Grougaloragran

Badly injured, the Dragon sends them to retrieve Yugo and Adamai's Dofus. Before they can leave, a rain of Stasis stones falls from the sky and Mina takes the other children to the temple. From the craters, Rozens sprout, Stasis-charged flowers that corrupt their surroundings and damage characters who get too close. The Goddess speaks to Nora and Efrim:

« An ancient galactic threat coming back to haunt us. They want our Wakfu. They will drink it all. The threads of this world unravel, revealing the truth of our Origins. My children are doomed by mistakes of the past. I am sorry. I am so sorry. Something... draining my soul... My voice... fading out... » — Eliatrope

Fighting through the Rozens, spiders and Prespics, they make their way through the forest and defeat a large, corrupted Prespic. Grougaloragran contacts them through a Drake Stone, beseeching them to secure the king's Dofus right away. The twins take down the protective field around the Dofus, and thus pass the first Veil.

Stasis Rising

« A secret Lab ? What kind of accusation is that ? How can I keep a secret from the King ? I am honest and truthful ! I would never, never, ever do something behind your back, your Majesty. » - Qilby

« The smell of the dark Rozen de Stasis is a breath of tartar, do not be seduced by its beauty. - Grougaloragran

Chapter 4: The Crater

As more meteors hit the planet, Orgonax is seen walking in the distance. The Goddess speaks once again:

« Our people were cursed, long ago, in another world. We escaped a terrible doom, and we built a new world. Who amongst our people betrayed us and awakened the past? My... voice... is running out... Help me, I'm disappearing... But not fast enough... Pain... » — Eliatrope

Nora and Efrim rush back to the Sanctuary, but passing through Chibi's Great Hall they find the skeleton has fallen off the chair and down the stairs, and the room is dotted with Stasis. Nora's Eliacube makes an intriguing comment:

« Well, look at that... It actually doesn't look like a real skeleton. Why would someone place a fake Chibi here? Why would they lie to us? «  — Nora's Eliacube

They find a trap door on the floor and head down, while the Eliacube warns them that this place is sacred and forbidden. They find an underground laboratory, with a replica of Mount Zinit in the center. The Eliacube recounts that Chibi heard the Goddess's voice when he was napping on the summit and that the Council has forbidden access to the mountain ever since. On the replica, Nora finds a way to activate a hologram of Qilby:

« Qilby speaking. I'm afraid time has already run out. I can't stand it anymore. Someone has to unveil the secrets, the taboos. The King doesn't want to listen to me, the fool. All he wants is a false heaven. I want to go back. I want to avenge our fathers and our sons. Nothing can stop me now! I leave this message for history. I will climb Mount Zinit, into the forbidden zone. I will open the gates of Wakanu. I will expose the parody that is our Eliatrope Goddess. I will save us all. I will make us true warriors again. «  — Qilby

Coming out of the lab, they find more craters and the tracks left by Orgonax. Reaching the lake, they see Lu-Fu invaders tearing down the Goddess's statue while she calls for help. By the time they get to it, the statue is already in shambles, but the Goddess leaves them musical notes to invoke her beyond the Veils. A tooltip describes the Goddess Song as "a devastating Hymn from the First Veil. None but Eliatropes can hear it without instantly being consumed." She begs Nora to use the Song against her (the statue), as she can take the pain no more. As the initiate complies, she thanks her and tells them that this soul, this voice, are gone only for now, and to find her in Intiwakana, her abode.

Chapter 5: The Temple

« Qilby? Ah, the poor fellow... if only he’d listened to me doing what he did. What was it? Uh... Look... You’re so young. You might one day understand. » - Glip

« Yes, yes, yes, I passed away a long time ago, by Chibi himself, when he created our technology here in this earthly paradise. According to Chibi, his inspirations were divine, the Goddess had helped him create his wonders. If that’s true, and I’m convinced of it, then I’m of divine origin. So that’s not cool? » - Stook

In the nearby forest, the Treechnid This link will take you to our sister Wikia, Dofus Wiki Amalami's voice and song are being corrupted by "the song from space," sung by Rozens. He becomes Amalama:

« GIVE ME YOUR SONG! LET ME TAKE YOUR TONGUE! I WILL FREE YOU FROM YOUR ABSURD GOD! I AM THE TRUE MAESTRO! I AM THE PRIMO UOMO! ELIATROPES ARE LIARS! DO YOU WANT ME TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH? YOUR GODDESS DOES NOT EXIST! HAIL, ORGONAX! » — Amalama

Unfortunately, defeating the corrupted tree also kills Amalami.

Nora and Efrim reach the temple and find the Wakfu Fountain encroached by Stasis flowers, draining its energy. They destroy the flowers and find Stook hiding underground. He gives Efrim a power-up and as they return outside, Baltazar calls for them and asks for immediate help. They head to his rescue but are caught in the middle of rampaging beasts running away from some unseen threat. They escape and fight more Lu-Fu with the young Redmo, who is killed by troopers. They then come upon Glip facing off against their leader Odo, but he is quickly struck down. Odo thirsts for Wakfu and orders his troops to set up the "Extractor" to take samples from this world. He then returns to his Frigate, letting them handle the busy work. Before passing away, Glip begs the twins to save the children hidden in the temple.

Chapter 6: Vili Valley

« Our library is the memory of our people. Everything we have done is here. Books are precious, they are life, and our memories. We need them, without them we could not survive with abstract information. We need to give them substance. » - Chibi

« As the invader approaches, our way of life is threatened. This paradise we called home is gone. The king is dead, his palace on fire. Everything seems lost. We were betrayed, but we could have done something. It’s my fault... it’s... » - Glip

Nora and Efrim fight more Lu-Fu in the temple and rescue the young Kiri. They find an Eliatrope path to the upper levels and come across Chibi's testament.

« Chibi left his belongings to his lover, Mina. And he crowned Yugo our King. Oh boy... Master Qilby must have been so angry. » — Nora's Eliacube

Trivia: One of the children to be rescued is Zora from Wakfu: Les Gardiens, and freeing her unlocks the achievement Guardian.

Once all the children are rescued, Baltazar calls for a meeting in the Dragon Hall. Since the children cannot yet teleport by themselves, he takes them "to a place where [they]'ll be safe forever" – the timeless dimension Emrub. He leaves after imparting another power-up to Efrim, after which the Eliacube comments:

« Those kids you saved... Baltazar's children, we call them... They are younger than anyone else, but no one remembers their births. Where did they come from? » — Nora's Eliacube

It is likely that they were the children sent to another dimension during the first Mechasm attack on the Eliatropes' original planet, but it is curious that no one else seems to be aware of it.

Later, Mina says she must make a sacrifice, now that Qilby has betrayed them. She must find the Pow Wow, their most secret place of ritual, and needs their help. They must go to the Zaap portal outside the library. But before they can follow Mina, Orgonax appears and destroys the portal, forcing the duo to head to the beach and find the backup Zaap suggested by the Eliacube.

On the Beach

« You talk about education. Well, I think education is the responsibility. We cannot drown our children in the news. They have to use them to get to where they can. We’re just watching them, so they don’t get hurt. » - Mama Conch

« Time will be born from the hourglass, a grain of sand after another. Cause and consequence, brothers jumaux from the will to change the world. » - Goddess

Chapter 7: Pliyi di Bili

Nora and Efrim reach the beach and see Prissy the Conch being attacked by crab-like creatures she calls bad krabbies. They rescue her and she asks for their help finding her sisters – Ellie, Evvy, Kelly, Marcy and Mary –, who were affected by "red fumes" that made them say bad words and terrible things. Near the beach, they find another of Qilby's holograms:

« Ah... If only the Council were honest people, I wouldn't have to do this... The truth? So simple: The Eliatropes are not what they seem to be. This society is not our first. This planet is not our home world. A long time ago, we escaped. Now, we must pay the price. I will be the redeemer. I will make things right once again... Because I'm the only one who can understand Chibi. » — Qilby

After all the Conch sisters have been found, Lu-Fu arrive on a ship and storm the beach. Nora and Efrim dispatch them, then pay a visit to Mama Conch in a nearby cave. Pleased that her girls are safe and did not pick up any bad words, she gives Nora one of her pearls, which will allow her to reflect projectiles.

Chapter 8: Club Platypus

“Many Eliatropes were disappointed by the Goddess. They joined cults to forget her. She and her Veils. It is a tragedy, because if no one believes in Her, then she will leave this plane of existence. It is a fact." - Baltazar

“I don’t understand. Why walk away from the Goddess? She is gentle and caring. What reasons can justify such an affront?” -Glip

A little farther on the beach, they meet Yama, who says a giant flower (a Queen Rozen) is sucking the light away and driving everyone mad in the nearby village. Nora and Efrim immediately provide assistance but are stunned by the cry of the dying flower. They awaken in Yama's hut, where he tells them that his leader probably won't be happy even though the flower has been taken care of, and will probably still sacrifice his sister Zoe to his "stupid Egg."

In the village, they see the Shamipus, local leader, proclaiming that the sacrifices are working since the light has returned. To continue to receive protection from the Platypus Egg, he commands more sacrifices, as expected.

Attached to a totem surrounded by dancers, they see a Dofus protected by a force field and start looking for a way to deactivate it. Sneaking into the Shamipus's hut, they deactivate the force field and Nora dresses herself as another Shamipus. The villagers are confused and Efrim uses the distraction to cause the egg to hatch, freeing the Platypus. All the villagers immediately rally to him and therefore to Efrim and Nora. The Shamipus teleports away, promising to have his revenge. Immediately after, more Lu-Fu arrive and destroy the gate to come after the Eliatrope and Dragon. They drive them back and Yama thanks them for saving his sister and the village, then reveals the location of the secret Zaap on the beach.

Chapter 9: Pow Wow

Mina warns Nora that the Stasis is disrupting the Wik-Fi and making teleportation unstable. Because of this, Nora must reach the Pow Wow through a secret path below the canyon. Finding the place by herself will be her last initiation rite. Mina also says that she has a very hard decision to make, but not to judge her, as it is their only hope.

Islands of Wakfu - Mina's sacrifice

Mina's sacrifice

Finding their way through a bamboo forest, they find a Lu-Fu excavation site. They kill the invaders and find an Eliatrope path to the Pow Wow. Mina tells them that she needed privacy for the hardest decision of her life: she offered her Wakfu in this holy place in order to create a bridge to Chibi's soul. That was the only way for Nora to pass the second Veil. Activating a Zaap, Nora and Efrim reach the heart of the Pow Wow and find Mina dying. She tells them that Qilby has betrayed them and brought back Stasis. Her Wakfu has gone into a flower that Nora must plant in the temple of Wakanu, atop Mount Zinit, in order to find Chibi's island and save the Dofus.

Making their way to Mount Zinit, they find another excavation site where the Lu-Fu are forcing moles to do their labor. After fighting numerous foes, they are told by a mole that the entire mountain is collapsing, but they head into the mines, driven by necessity.

Chapter 10: Rizi

"The heart of our world is a heart of Wakfu, blue as the yolk of a timeless egg, before the cosmic omelette occurs." - Glip

"Beebee loves wakfu. Mmmm, you love wakfu..." - Beebee

They quickly come out of the mines and fight their way up through more ranks of Lu-Fu, all the while feeding their new companion Beebee the bee with Wakfu to make her glow. With her help, they navigate through dark caverns and continue to make their way up. They find a Wakfu-extracting machine, pumping tirelessly to feed Odo's insatiable appetite. They destroy the machine and face Odo's general in battle.

Chapter 11: Mount Zinit

« Why all these secrets? Something is wrong. Would the council have lied to us? Does the Goddess really exist? What would be the point of inventing such a story?" - Eliacube

"O ancient mountain, venerable spirit presiding over the material plane, you will not weep. Like insects, we cling to your sides. We dare not look upon your summit. Our eyes fall when we cross the path of your deep caves, and the intimate and dark secret of your origins." - Qilby

Climbing ever higher, they make their way to Wakanu as Orgonax climbs Mount Zinit. On the way, they find a new hologram from Qilby:

« Mount Zinit is a place of corridors, of dark corners. Here lie the secrets of our kind. Halfway through my journey, I rest in this tomb to contemplate my choices. I may doom our way of life, our dreams, but I cannot endure the lies we tell ourselves. Eliatropes were born of the Stars, and we came here to escape our Fall. We need to confront ourselves with the truth. We need to avenge our people. The King is a liar and a coward. I will not stay silent. Not anymore. May you who find these words forgive me. » — Qilby

In the same room, they find schematics and drawings that resemble Orgonax, and the Eliacube comments that he is big enough to walk inside, and that there seems to be a hollow spot in his right hand.

Chapter 12: Wakanu

"Why did I do this? Because the king did not want to do anything! He wanted to stay here with his lies. We are supposed to move forward! We are supposed to feed on other systems to progress to the end of time. That is the real reason for Wakfu." - Qilby

"It seems unreal. Like we’re in the bowels of a whale perched on top of a mountain, like an ark from a distant past." - Eliacube

Nora and Efrim undo the seal to the temple Wakanu and find Lu-Fu already inside. The temple is a maze designed by Chibi, and the Eliacube suspects that he may have a flower nearby, since according to Mina he performed the Pow Wow ritual. Inside a strange machine, they find the Oracle of Waki Wa. They wake him up and he tells them that he is not real, not really there. He used to be Chibi's personal assistant, but he is only a projection reactivated by Qilby when he was last here. Nevertheless, he has the power to activate a Zaap leading further inside the temple.

There, they find Lu-Fu that have drilled their way into the mountain, as well as Stasis deposits. They dispatch the creatures and reach the first chamber, first part of Chibi's puzzle. They are met there by Modo and Podo, Lu-Fu leaders looking for Stasis for Odo, who has gone to the top of the mountain to meet Orgonax. The Lu-Fu attack the characters, hoping to use them to force their way inside the Inner Sanctum, but they are no match for Nora and Efrim.

The next puzzle is a large room filled with tubes carrying Wakfu. Using the Platypus, they deactivate the force field that blocks the exit and proceed to the next room after collecting the original Eliacube. The last chamber contains statues of the Eliatrope Council, and strangely, a Rozen grows in front of Qilby's. They find Chibi's flower in front of his statue, proving that he sacrificed his Wakfu at the Pow Wow, and plant Mina's flower before her statue as she asked. Solving the last puzzle, they find an Eliatrope path to Mina's island.

Chapter 13: The Islands

"Chibi, my love, I am by your side now. I can see your face beyond the waves, like a lighthouse, which attracts me. We will be reunited in this world where souls are connected. I will be the bridge that joins you." - Mina

"Islands? You mean paradise? You really think there’s something after death? Do you think what we are looking for is a holiday? The islands are a lie, the Goddess is a scam. The Platypus is the one and only god." - Chamipus

On Mina's island, they meet with the Oracle, who explains that her soul came here when she sacrificed her Wakfu. Since the Wakfu of Council Eliatropes and Dragons return to their Dofus upon death until their reincarnation, it may be that these islands are small planes of existence contained in those Dofus, where their souls remain conscious.

According to the Oracle, "to get to Chibi's island, you must uncover Mina's secret love for him." They find fragments of her soul, and open the way to Chibi's island. Grougaloragran meets them there for the Ritual of Ages, and to take the king's Dofus to another dimension where it will be safe. He instructs them to find the Goddess Beacon atop Mount Zinit.

*The Eliacube picked up in Chibi's maze appears on a pedestal while Grougaloragran takes the Dofus from Nora, but no mention is made of it and it simply disappears after the scene. In the animated series, Grougaloragran does however mention that Nora entrusted him with both the Dofus and the Eliacube.

Odo's Frigate appears in the sky, and as the Oracle instructs her that letting go will be the quickest way to reach Intiwakana, she lets the Lu-Fu take her aboard without resistance. There, Odo demands the king's Dofus, but Nora and Efrim attack him and his crew and gain the upper hand. Before it is too late, Odo drinks a full jar of Wakfu and becomes an even more powerful beast with the ability to teleport around the ship. But ultimately, he is still defeated, along with the rest of his crew.

Chapter 14: Intiwakana

The Frigate crashes near the top of the mountain, where Nora and Efrim must face a Crackler guardian appointed by Chibi, who decreed that no one was allowed to pass. They then make their way to a small cave where they consult the Oracle one last time:

« You have saved the last Eliatrope, now this world is coming to an end. These invaders you've fought were once like you, innocent. They were seized, enslaved, brought to despair. Behold, this is their world, still alive in their dreams. » — Oracle

He shows them a vision of the Lu-Fu's world, of their Imperatrix giving up the fight after so many of her people have been taken away. In their last hour, they send a warning in dreams:

« Don't fear the loss of the material world, but embrace the pure bliss of dreams. In dreams, invisible waves become vessels. To believe is to feel. Sailing an endless ocean... to surf, but never to sink. Believe in the invisible. As it believes in you. »

As they reach ever higher, Orgonax catches up with them and they are forced to fight him off to buy some time. They find a weak spot in his right hand and blow it open, creating an opening for the Platypus. Inside, he uses drops of Wakfu to tinker with the giant's internal mechanisms, making him lose his grip on the rock face. They quickly reach the top of the mountain and find a large flower that speaks with the voice of the Goddess (her last words are not transcribed for the player). Nora communes with it while Orgonax resumes his ascent. Channeling the Goddess's power, Nora launches a devastating attack against Orgonax, an explosion seen from space that wipes all life from the planet for millenia.

*The final attack against Orgonax had cataclysmic proportions and destroyed all life on the planet, and several millenia later, when the gods of the World of Twelve discovered the barren planet and recreated life on it, the process also involved highly destructive forces. Yet, mentions of Eliatrope artifacts abound in the world, such as Zaap portals, Eliatrope ruins and the book found by Karibd and Silar (mention in Dofus mmo and Dofus manga.

Sun sighed, they were home. Moon was still angry and so was Sun to a degree but Sun also understood why Blood Moon would run. They were now scared of the power Sun held, so running made sense.

Sun let Moon continue complaining about Blood Moon’s disappearance. Moon was riled up, hopefully he’d calm down soon enough.

“Teleportation!?” Moon huffed, seemingly ending his rage.

“I know, Moon.” Sun agreed.

“Ugh, fine. I’m going to sleep. This shit of chasing him down is annoying as hell. He could be in Canada by now with how long we were searching.” Moon huffed.

“Yeah, sleeping sounds good.” Sun yawned and followed Moon up to their rooms, bidding his brother goodnight as well as Solar charging in the corner. Sun laid down in his bed and plugged in to charge, falling asleep relatively easy.

Sun woke up to a loud sound in the daycare and ran out to see Moon was still sleeping deeply as was Solar. Cautious, Sun went down on Moon’s old fly wire to see what the sounds were.

The sounds were coming from behind the security desk and Sun grabbed Moon’s gun he’d intended to use on Blood Moon to investigate. It sounded oddly like the medical box was being rummaged through.

Sun slowly peeled behind the desk and stopped stock still. Blood Moon sat on the ground behind the security desk, packing gauze into the stump of his left leg and wrapping it tightly with an ace wrap, hiccuping and shaking with undoubtedly blood loss and pain.

The black and red bot was littered with injuries, cuts everywhere and gouges taken from his other leg, including a deep cut through his Achilles tendon. Their right arm was barely hanging on from what it looked like bandaged up with gauze.

Sun stared in horror and dropped the gun, which startled Blood Moon, who slowly looked up as he was caught, eyes wide and a terrified look on his face.

It was tense for a moment, Sun horrified at the sight of his severely injured little brother and Blood Moon terrified at being caught by someone while seemingly raiding their emergency kit to patch himself the best he could.

But it seemed Blood Moon cracked first, tears spilling over his face and looking back down, seemingly ashamed of himself. Sun felt a pang of concern for Blood Moon. They had fights, sure, but Sun didn’t want his little brother to be hurt like this.

“We’re sorry, we needed medical supplies and cannot get anywhere else.” Blood Moon apologized, voice almost heartbreakingly scared. Sun knelt down with them, careful holding Blood Moon’s good hand.

“Hey, it’s okay. You’re safe. I can take care of it. Okay?” Sun promised, letting his teary brother nod to him and sniffle as Sun gently began taking over the process and bandaging the rest of the wounds his poor little brother had.

“What happened to you?” Sun asked softly as he worked on the ace wrap, redoing it on Blood Moon’s stump of a left leg.

“That damned little fox. It set a trap for us! Sent us to a cage full of wolves that ripped us apart. He betrayed us. We thought we could trust him!” Blood Moon explained to him.

“They just kept ripping and tearing things off! We tried screaming but it didn’t work, nothing did! We tried to get away but we didn’t until we played dead! Everything hurt so bad and our leg was gone and almost our arm too! We tried…We tried…” Blood Moon broke down into sobs and was shaking like a leaf as Sun gently hugged them into his shoulder.

“It’s okay, you’re safe, Blood Moon. You’re safe here. You’ll be alright.” Sun promised, rubbing gently over their back and letting Blood Moon calm in his arms, hiccuping and clutching to him with his good arm.

It seemed they were truly traumatized, this couldn’t be acting with how desperately Blood Moon was clinging to Sun, shaking and crying. They wouldn’t play up something like this nor would they purposefully injure themself to garner attention. They wouldn’t be so truly terrified when they’d gotten caught.

“Don’t make us go back, please. We’re scared.” Blood Moon whispered in his other voice. Ah, right, there were two in one body.

“You two aren’t going back. You can stay here. You can be safe here. You can have a family, a bed, a life.” Sun offered.

“P-Please.” Blood Moon whispered, sniffling and trying to calm down. Sun gently pulled back and held their blood spattered face, gently wiping it off with a rag and Blood Moon gave a watery smile for him.

“There’s my little brothers.” Sun smiled, which made Blood Moon smile more genuinely, a soft, happy look on their face.

Sun realized it was the first time they’d been treated truly gently, truly without any kind of deal or exploitation or being used. It made Sun happy to know this genuine affection and care had come from him.

Sun didn’t catch it from the side of his eye but someone passed by, grabbing the gun from the ground. Sun didn’t see them until he spotted Moon from the other side of the security desk, gun raised.

Sun couldn’t even get a word out before the gun fired and Blood Moon’s look of happiness faded as he choked up blood, looking down in horror at his chest. Sun saw blood splattered onto his chest from Blood Moon’s as Blood Moon struggled to breathe, grabbing his chest as the delayed pain came on.

“Got him.” Moon told Sun proudly. Sun quickly snapped from shock and glared as Moon as he quickly scanned the wound, a bullet right through one of Blood Moon’s lungs. Sun put gauze and light pressure to the wound to stem the blood flow and grabbed the emergency oxygen machine, putting the mask onto Blood Moon’s face and turning it on to make him breathe still.

“You fucking ASSHOLE!” Sun yelled at Moon, shaking with rage as he tried to keep the gauze over the entrance and exit wounds to keep them from being exposed to the air.

“You saw me down here with him! You saw me taking care of him! Does he look like he can hurt anyone!?” Sun seemed to simply snap with rage.

It could’ve been just the disregard of the situation Moon had or it could’ve been the stress lately. But Sun finally came undone at seeing Blood Moon getting shot when the black and red bot was finally beginning to see change as a good thing sent him off the handle.

“Sun, we agreed-“ Moon began.

“I don’t care what the fuck we agreed! Fuck what we agreed! Screw the fucking plan! They came for medical supplies! They came for a safe place to treat their fucking wounds! Not to be shot at when they were finally accepting help! That little rat you killed sent them to their death and they barely survived, they came here terrified! They were scared to see me when they weren’t even doing anything wrong! They don’t deserve to be shot at and they don’t deserve to be treated like they’re some monster! They needed help, not to be given even more injuries!”

Sun couldn’t stop the word vomit of pure fury he had in this situation. Moon looked between them, horror growing on his face when he saw Blood Moon’s missing leg in specific.

“Oh Jesus fucking Christ!” Moon gasped, eyes widening as he saw all the injuries.

“Yeah, exactly. All those are from that damn fox thing. It sent them into a trap, wolves ripped them apart.” Sun watched Blood Moon as he huffed and struggled the oxygen, groaning in pain as his eyes rolled back into his head, body shaking more and convulsing.

“Hands off!” Moon pulled Sun’s hands away and he carefully put Blood Moon onto his side into a recovery position, fingers careful getting frothy saliva from Blood Moon’s mouth once the seizing stopped.

“What’s happening?” Sun asked, voice a little scared. Would Blood Moon life past something like that in the state he was in?

“He had a seizure, probably from shock and blood loss. I need to get him upstairs and fix what I can. I need you to go wake up Solar.” Moon told him, sending Sun off.

Sun immediately ran upstairs to Solar, waking him up by shaking his arms.

“Huh? What?” Solar asked.

“Okay, Blood Moon is good. Moon told me to wake you up. I think he needs help fixing Blood Moon. He got mauled by wolves.” Sun quickly explained.

“Oh shit.” Solar groaned, unplugging from his charger and getting up, stretching and cracking his joints into functional order as Moon came up on his fly wire with Blood Moon in his arms, landing on the balcony. “Fucking hell!?” Solar exclaimed upon seeing just how injured Blood Moon was.

“In my room, now.” Moon dragged Solar into his room and Sun paced waiting. He was so worried about his little brothers. Sure, the gunshot was near the top of the list of worries but the lost leg was even more worrying, the blood loss.

It was sunrise before Moon and Solar came out, Moon carrying Blood Moon, who was awake and somewhat aware. Blood Moon’s eyes flashed red and pink upon seeing Sun and lit up with joy.

“We were able to fix everything but his right arm. It was numb and grey by the time we tried to fix it so we had to amputate it. The computer is working on prosthetics for him. Get stabbed or not, Sun was going to hug his little brothers. Blood Moon cuddled against him and grabbed on tight with their left arm, their remaining one until the prosthetics were finished.

“I told you, you’re safe here. Nothing will ever hurt you again.” Sun promised.

“We’re home.” Blood Moon whispered, eyes slowly shutting now that they were comfortable and relaxed, melting into the warmth Sun offered and Sun freely offered it.

Moon and Solar sat beside the two cuddling on the couch, making sure both of them were okay as the two waited for the prosthetics to be done to attach them.

Solar - She becomes an adorable mess

You'd liked Solar for a while now and admired so many things about her. How good a leader she was, how powerful her voice was, how loud and excited she got when playing a game and also how great a friend she was. She was always there when you needed her no matter her busy idol schedule and that's how you fell for her. All her members were aware of your crush on her and encouraged you to ask her out assuring you she would say yes but it took 3 months of them hyping you up for you to do it.

They'd even helped plan it for you and arranged for Solar to be in the practice room all ready for you when you "forgot your phone" and had come to look for it. Solar spotted you as soon as you walked in and shot you a big smile which made all her members smirk. You tried to pretend you hadn't seen them and smiled back at Solar. "Hey Y/n, what’s a nice girl like you doing here?" Solar called. That did make you blush but if you stopped what you were doing anytime Solar made you light headed you'd never get anything done. "I've lost my phone and I was in here rehearsing this morning" you said. Solar was immediately in leader mode "hmm well I haven't seen anything but let's search together yeah?". You thanked her and started looking in all the obvious places, the plug sockets, the corners, the mats etc. You felt slightly bad considering your phone was in your pocket but the members all gave you the thumbs up and conveniently left the room. After exhausting all the possible options Solar sighed "maybe it fell behind the sound unit? If you help me I bet we can totally move it" she said prepared to rearrange the studio for you but you stopped her. "No it's okay...I've been a few places so I'll have a look for it there". Solar nodded "do you need any help?". You shook your head "no I've wasted too much of your time already but I do have a question for you". Your heart was hammering in your chest but Solar just nodded "oh yeah? What is it?". You could feel yourself shaking and felt like it was 100 degrees in here but swallowed that fear and stared at the beautiful girl in front of you. "So I really like you, as more than a friend and was wondering if you'd maybe want to get dinner with me sometime?".

The few seconds before Solar responded seemed to go on for an eternity but when she responded it made it all worth it. Solar's eyes widened and then an unmistakable blush spread across her face and she stared at the floor unable to look at you. "Yeah I'd love that!" she said her voice breaking and she winced going even redder "I really like you too so would definitely want to do that...with you. On a date" she said mumbling and you couldn't believe 1. that she'd said yes and 2. that the unflappable leader was a blushing mess because of you! You always saw Solar as confident and cool but this was a totally new and unseen side. "Sorry" she said "I know I'm acting really uncool right now I've just been wanting to ask you for ages and I can't really believe this is happening". She was so damn adorable you took her hands and squeezed them "well it is, I think you're one of the kindest, smartest, most fun people I've ever met and I can't wait to pursue this with you". Solar went pink again but she nodded not looking away from your gaze "me too, I promise I'll be a great girlfriend...wait shit you didn't ask me to be your girlfriend just to go on a date dammit Solar! I'm sorry" she said to you and you laughed "Solar it's okay I love seeing this side to you". "You do? You're not regretting asking me out?" she asked and you shook your head "not for a second, so are you free Friday?". Solar nodded "yes" and you smiled "great I'll text you some places we can go" and waved goodbye. When you got out of the studio you both collapsed with huge goofy grins on your face.

 Moonbyul - She thinks you're joking

Let's be honest Moonbyul was a woman magnet, so there was really no questions of if you'd fall for her but more when and the answer to that question was within 1 month of meeting her. You thought you were a pretty slick gay, you didn't panic over a pretty face and were calm and collected but then you met Moonbyul and that all changed. She flirted with you 5 times in your first meeting and although you calmly flirted back with her on the inside you felt like your legs were jelly. Every meeting with her was like that as Moobyul was the queen of flirting. All her members claimed she'd met her match in you because you did flirt back with her and the two of you had a very cheeky friendship. The only problem with that is, you weren't joking. You meant every word you said to her but Moonbyul didn't realise that and you were too scared to tell her until eventually one day it just slipped out.

You were over at Moonbyul's house getting ready to go out shopping when as usual you got sidetracked. Moonbyul's new single came out and she asked if you wanted to listen to it and of course you said yes. You loved when Moonbyul rapped but adored her singing voice and smiled the whole way through it. "So what do you think?" she asked "I wasn't sure how my voice came across because you know it's not as strong as the other girls...." when you cut her off. "Moonbyul, it was amazing". "Really?" she asked and you nodded "yep, the beat was great and the lyrics were so truthful and so many people are going to connect with them. Plus your voice is beautiful just like you are". Moonbyul pushed your shoulder and stood up to get her coat "can you stop joking with me for 2 seconds?". "I wasn't joking with you" you said and Moonbyul shook her head laughing. You were tired of pretending so you were finally honest.

"I'm being serious, I think you're very beautiful and I really like you" you said and Moonbyul paused. She had her back to you so you couldn't see her reaction but could see how tense her shoulders had become. "You do?" she asked and you nodded "yes, I've been serious this whole time but never worked up the courage to tell you...you've never been a joke to me Moonbyul". Moonbyul still hadn't turned around and you had no idea what was going through that pretty head of hers. "I understand if you don't feel the same way, that's totally fine" you assured her "I just wanted you to know". "No" Moonbyul said and your heart froze, when she didn't reply you prompted her "no what?". "No, I want you" Moonbyul said turned around and you saw the shocked expression on her face but also the big smile. "This was never just a joke to me either and I'd love to take you out some time". You grinned before shaking your head "take me out? I asked you out! Surely it's me who gets to take you out". Moonbyul smirked "technically you just said you liked me, not that you wanted to take me on a date so when people ask I get to say I was the one who asked you out" she said poking you in the shoulder. You shook your head laughing at her "you're unbelievable!" and she laughed "I know but you're the one with a crush on me" making you blush. Moonbyul wrapped her arms around you in a hug and you gave in hugging her back "I am the person with a crush on you" and Moonbyul giggled which was the nicest noise you'd ever heard. You vowed at that moment to make her as happy and laugh as much as you possibly could.

Wheein - You have to get through her members

Wheein was the fake maknae of the group and you were aware all her members treated her that way. You found it really sweet how they all rallied anytime she needed anything and took care of her however you never expected them to be so protective over Wheein when it came to you. You'd been friends with Wheein from pretty much the start as you both debuted around similar times and from there your friendship developed into a romance. You weren't very good at keeping secrets so planned to ask Wheein out but also knew her members well enough to know they'd want to know first. So you texted Hwasa asking if you could swing by on a day you knew Wheein was off filming and she said yes.

You walked into the studio and saw the 3 girls messing around while they were supposed to be rehearsing. "Y/n!" Solar cried "tell them two to stop messing around and actually do some work". You raised your hands "I'm not taking sides" and watched as they literally ran rings around Solar before calming down. "So what did you have to tell us?" Hwasa asked and you paused "I'm going to ask Wheein out". They all paused and you knew you'd done the right thing coming to them personally. 

"You are?" Hwasa asked and you nodded "and I figured you might have questions". Moonbyul nodded "that's point 1 to you because yes we do, what are your intentions with Wheein?" she asked. You blushed "I just want to date her, to spend time with her and be around her more and see her smile". "Good answer" Solar nodded "and how do you plan to have a relationship while also being a busy idol?". You were expecting this one so nodded "well Wheein and I already have a successful friendship for a year while being idols. As you know we meet up regularly and I always respond to her messages within hours. I will make Wheein my priority and makes sure every day she at least hears from me virtually is not in person and of course I will discuss this with Wheein and make sure we have the same understanding about communication". "That is important" Hwasa admitted "finally, what are your plans for the future?". "For the future?" you asked and Hwasa nodded "do you plan on being an idol forever?". You thought about it for a few seconds before replying "I love singing and performing so would like to continue with my group for as long as we can but after that I'd like to step down from the spotlight and have a normal life. You blushed but shot her a warm smile "fancy getting a coffee from the canteen?".

Once you were refuelled Wheein turned to you with a concentrated expression on her face that let you know she wanted answers so you told her. "I'm here because I want to ask you if you'd like to go on a date with me". Wheein blinked "I'm sorry what?". "I like you Wheein" you said "and wanted to know if you want to be something romantic with me". Wheein blushed "I...but why did that involve my members?". You laughed "I know how protective over you they are so I thought I'd tell them first and answer any worries they had about me". Wheein's eyes widened "but they love you! I can't think of anyone better for me to go out with" before blushing. You smiled "they did approve but their opinion doesn't matter, only yours does. So what do you think? If you say no they'll be no awkwardness or hurt feelings. Absolutely no pressure". Wheein blushed "of course I want to go out with you!" and she reached across the table and took your hand. You both went pink as you stared at one another and then Wheein's eyes went to something behind your head and her smile froze "give me one minute, I have some members to kill for grilling you". She ran over to them and then ran after them when they fled knowing what was coming. You watched her track them down smiling to yourself because you'd got a date with that girl.

 Hwasa - She makes your sweat

You were known for being the cool girl in your group but nobody could compare to the Queen of cool Hwasa. You'd met through the idol circuit and got pushed together often for your bold stage presence and confident looks. You'd interacted a lot in this way and naturally became friends. You soon realised that while Hwasa was also shy and cute, her confidence was authentic and wasn't an act at all. She was comfortable in herself and loved herself which was one of the most endearing things about her and a reason you fell for her. She was perfect in about a million different ways and you decided you couldn't keep your cool member card and NOT ask her out.

You had the whole thing planned out. You were meeting up to go out to see a movie and then go for a meal. You purposefully dressed up hoping to impress Hwasa but when you got to her house to pick her up she was dressed in a stunning red trouser-top combo. "Wow" you said as you got out of the car and Hwasa smiled "funny I was going to say the same thing about your outfit, your ass looks amazing in that dress". You blushed "thanks I thought I'd dress up a little tonight and great minds clearly think alike because you did too". Hwasa smiled "we're just perfect for each other aren't we?" making you go bright pink and all you could manage was to open her door for her. Hwasa was usually flirty but this was something else. 

When you walked from the car to the cinema she entwinced your arms and you walked in together like a couple. Then during the film she asked if you could put your arm around her because she was struggling to get comfortable. You did as she said and she nestled into your neck and stayed cuddled up with you the whole film. Then on the drive to the restaurant she touched your leg when she got excited about some gossip she hadn't shared with you and then forgot to move it, keeping it there the whole way there. At the restaurant she kept complimenting you and when her food arrived she insisted you try it, even leaning across the table to feed it to you. So it was fair to say you were well and truly flustered and your plan had gone out the window. 

As you were walking back to the car Hwasagrabbed your hand and a lady commented on how cute the two of you were. Hwasa smiled "my girlfriend is adorable isn't she" and carried on walking as if it was nothing. When you got in the car you turned to her "I...has something happened I don't know about?". Hwasa shot you an innocent look "no, why? Is something wrong?". "No just you've been different tonight". Hwasa tilted her head to one side "didn't you like it?". You blushed "I...I just want to know why you were acting like that, was it for fun or were you being serious". Hwasa smiled "of course it wasn't for fun dummy! I like you and Moonbyul might've let slip that tonight was the night you were finally going to ask me out!". You gasped "she didn't! I made her promise to keep it a secret". "Yeah but you picked the biggest blabbermouth so it's your fault really" Hwasa said laughing. "I can't believe you knew, so all night you were just testing my nerve huh?". Hwasa nodded "At first I just wanted to see if it was true, if you really did like me but after you blushed more than the embarrassed emoji I figured it was true and was just trying to encourage you". "You nearly killed me is what you did!" you cried and Hwasa chuckled "you still haven't asked me". "Yeah well maybe I won't after your games" you teased and Hwasa blinked back at you "you will especially after this" and she kissed you. In fairness Hwasa could do absolutely anything and you'd be near fainting but that kiss was amazing and when Hwasa pulled away you were seeing stars. Hwasa realised you were a little lost for words and stroked your cheek "y/n, will you go out with me?". That jolted you back into existence "but I thought you wanted me to ask?". "I did but you seemed like you needed recovery so I thought I'd ask, so what's the answer? Don't leave me hanging". You said yes of course.

AFERIY P010 800W Portable Power Station Review

I have been looking at the AFERIY portable power station and waited until they are on discount. AFERIY P010 800W is one of the highest power output battery in the battery, and I do need this to power my camping kettle, coffee machine, fridge and a mini oven.

I ordered the battery together with a 200W solar panel as I know the sunshine in UK is not the most intense even in summer. I would need a higher power solar panel to take advantage of the free energy from not so optimum daylight.

The battery comes with 28% power and I immediately charged it from the wall socket using the power cable included in the package. It took about an hour to go up to 100% and I am very pleased.

There is a MC4 to XT60 cable for solar panel charging. I bought an solar panel extension cable with MC40 plugs at both end that connects to the integrated power cable that comes out from the solar panel. The other end of the extension cable is connected to the battery’s XT60 cable.

Today I place the solar panel in my garden and connect the cables to the battery input. The AC output is connected to a power extension lead socket bar which powers my 77” OLED TV, FireTV Cube, Echo Sub and a pair of Echo Studio speakers.

On an early June midday today in southeast U.K. , the solar panels fed average 135W power to the battery, while the TV and sound system power output was between 70W - 150W when a Netflix movie was streaming. The battery capacity drops very slowly to 95% in two hours. When I played Spotify on my TV, the capacity climbs back to 100% in an hour.

In a hot and bright summer day, I would expect a higher power generated by the solar panels. I am very pleased with the P010 battery so far. It should be noted that the high voltage and current that the electronics have to handle, careful handling of the battery is necessary particularly during powering up and down of the battery. No power plugs should be inserted or unplugged when the battery is inputting/outputting power.

At 6:00pm the solar panels are still producing > 100W. I do not have any problem with the noise of the cooling fan inside my living room. I have no doubt that the P010 battery will serve me well during my summer campings.

AFERIY P010 Battery

PROS:

800W (1600W surge), lightweight (6.5 kg), PD100W, PD20W, for USB-C and USB-A QC3.0 charging, relatively silent cooling fan.

CONS:

Plastic swinging cover for the power sockets feels flimsy and care should be taken not to break it. Don’t know why it’s designed to open from the bottom and swing up, which is prone to easily broken when accidentally hit upon, rather than swinging open from the top, so that the power cables are always on top to protect the cover.

200W Portable Solar Panel

PROS:

lightweight, contains USB-C and DC sockets for directly charging devices.

CONS:

Cables a bit short. MC4 to Anderson cable in the accessories is out of date technology. No variety of DC adaptor sockets like other brands of solar panels. The integrated supporting legs for the solar panels are a bit short and the tie back from the supports to the panel is too long. This restrains the angle of the panel to max. 40 degrees to the horizontal. Not good to better capture the last light from the setting sun.

Update!

Cozy day at home. Feels like it's been forever since I've had a light day like this to just chill out. Honestly spent more time than I prob should've just listening to youtube and playing minecraft for the first time in awhile. ('0.0) But also worked on writing stuff! So the day wasn't entirely lost to my gaming addiction lol. Did some more character interview things, cause at this point it's fun and helps me figure out the characters! Also did some work on the prologue, but agh, def not getting it done this weekend. It is mostly drafted aside from one weird gap in the middle that I need to plug with a paragraph. (-.-) Going to do that tmr then take a break from that for a week to freshen the mind a touch before going back and doing editing and what not. In the mean time gonna start the drafting for the first part of the story! Which is a mix of exciting and harrowing. [got no idea what I'm doing aside from a vaguely outlined plan lol, way more adjusted to worldbuilding and characters than I am on plot stuff…. Something I need to work on but know the most common way of learning is to completely flub it and I really don’t want to flub it lol… rambling, sorry!]

Blurb: The Undercity

The "Undercity" is the term used to describe the more densely populated and neglected sectors of Neocago City. These regions are mostly located around the southern and outer western parts of the city. Aside from a few scattered and walled off corporate run neighborhoods surrounding factories and other corporate properties the undercity is a lawless place. Buildings are fused as they were haphazardly built atop one another in a completely unplanned way to accommodate rapid unfettered urbanization over the last few decades. Many of these buildings have prefabricated rooms at their core that have been buried by whatever construction materials were available.

Roofed alleyways are covered in trash that will never be collected. The pathways between buildings are almost always wet from a mix of rainwater and water from leaky pipes draining through the various layers of buildings above. Random cables feeding down from rooftop solar panels hang above the streets, following along the paths in thick bundles. People often simply splice into the cables to syphon off power for their businesses or homes as they need forming webs of wires chaotically stretching around over streets and alleys. Many narrow ground level streets are lined with neon signs advertising small local businesses. Some streets have become de facto "retrofitted" into public markets that have street vendor carts. While not necessarily on every surface possible, graffiti isn't uncommon.

Most places around the undercity fall with in the territories of one gang or another who for their credit often try to maintain some level of order and basic essential public services. Services such as shifting garbage away from the local area, "protection", and extinguishing the occasional fire. For the most part security firms [basically privately owned cops for hire, more on this some other time] are absent so nearly everyone in the undercity is armed in some way in the likely event they need to defend themselves. Although typically if one just keeps there head down and doesn't start anything they are relatively safe.

As one travels nearer toward the edge of Neocago the undercity becomes less developed, less populated, and less livable overall with some sections being more or less abandoned. In these places the borders between what is the undercity and the junkyards surrounding the city begin to blur. Sparsely hidden away in the more abandoned areas are indoor gardens that grow food kept away from prying eyes that may attempt to steal meals as well as valuable plants. Some places in these border areas have become mysterious dead zones where few who enter are ever seen nor heard from again.

The population of the undercity is mostly laborers, service industry workers, "service" workers, or unemployed with some small local shop owners sprinkled around. Near universally however, everyone has their vice. This part of the city has also become somewhat attractive to lower level runners, who often thrive in the absence of security firms and high need for people to do odd jobs.

In more developed regions of the undercity buildings are even built over roads which causes an intresting little phenomenon. These areas don't get sunlight and as a result have become immune to the fact that the sun is indeed a deadly laser. Following this little quirk these portions of the undercity usually never sleep and are always a bustling place of foot traffic and commerce.

In essence the undercity is nearly around sixteen million minds all working in their own interests, often intersecting and conflicting with others as there is little overall organized coordination. The aesthetics of this region are heavily governed by that as millions of little self serving adjustments are made to the environment each day.

Ukrainian-born serial entrepreneur Karolina launched WeDoSolar in February 2022, just days before Russia invaded her homeland.

(This would be tested successfully both on the royal zepplin and to power the entire palace and its surrounding buildings, cutting the overall cost of energy production in the Country of Spades by a good twenty percent.)

(Jacob specifically wanted to make something that people who are afraid of needles would be able to take safely, as his little sister Carewyn got very teary as a toddler, when getting her first shots.)

(This idea would sadly be "co-opted" by the Tyrant of Spades Patricia Rakepick and repurposed into weapons of war. Fortunately the Joker called the "Escape Artist" destroyed every last one of them before they could be used to attack other parts of Cinderhaven.)

"We could just lock old Madam Ace in her office for a night. Then maybe you could force the army to cut their spending." (Sadly this idea, however tempting and amusing it might've been, was one Duncan couldn't go along with.)

A record player that could be powered through pressing a pedal, rather than being plugged in with electricity. (Jacob put this on the desk in his workshop so that he could play music with his foot, while working on other projects. Duncan actually gifted Jacob several records to play on it, including Sitting on Top of the World, which is one of his favorite songs.)

Fortunately Jacob ended up shutting up one particularly mouthy bloke, after he had the audacity to suggest Duncan only ever tapped people for positions at court if he was sleeping with them. 2023 has been a year of new beginnings for the Indian logistics industry. It is the year logistics companies bounced back from the post-pandemic slump and set out to recover from their losses. The year also witnessed a steady growth in eCommerce, with the spotlight on quick commerce and last mile logistics. The later part of 2023 saw the government extending generous support to digital commerce and logistics, through initiatives like Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and National Logistics Policy (NLP).

Looking back, we can confidently assert that 2023 has been a good year for India’s logistics sector. From the increased focus on supply chain sustainability to extensive experimentation with drone deliveries, here are the top trends that defined logistics this year.

1. Greener transportation and supply chain

The amount of greenhouse gases generated by India’s transportation sector has nearly tripled since the 1990s, accounting for over 14% of our total energy emissions. The problem is quite severe if we take into account the massive carbon footprint left by India’s booming supply chain.

In 2022, there was a rise in awareness around cleaner and greener logistics practices, with a nudge on electrifying India’s cargo transportation. We were sitting in the cafeteria when Sophie got up and walked out. I had just zoned back in on to what was happening when she left so I didn't know why so I asked Keefe. "She's just getting my amazing gift from her locker." He said and instead of saying something like 'how did you get in her locker' I just jumped out of my seat when I realized something.

"I forgot my cap!" Then Dex shoved something in my face.

"Yeah you did so I grabbed it before we left." He said as he continued to do whatever it was he was doing.

"Aw Dexipoo thanks!" Keefe cracked up.

"D-dexipoo!?" He practically yelled to the world. Dex scowled, he had never really liked the nickname. I grinned. Keefe laughed as I opened the first gift. It was a velvet red cloth made out of a soft silk. It had silver thread loopy designs on it and a little adjustable bow on the back. You pull it to loosen it then just push it to tighten, the beautiful fabric was long enough to reach a few inches below my shoulders if used as a headband and to a few inches above my midback if used as a choker. It also had a little placement area in the middle. I looked at the note that was attached to the box.

Hey, I noticed how you liked to use clothes for your registry pendant instead of the wires so I got you this. Hope you like it and if you want it can also be used as a headband. Don't want your hair getting caught while doing a prank now do ya! Anyway hope you like it.

I just stared at the cloth rereading the note over and over. It was honestly beautiful and he was right, my hair always did get in the way when I was pranking. I smiled as I took off the blue cloth I was wearing today and put the crystal on the little placement area on the red one. I wrapped it around my neck twice so it wasn't too long but also made sure I wasn't choking myself. I tightened the bow at the end and tuned to the gang.

"What do you think?" I said and I regretted it immediately when Bianna gained that glint in her eye. Scary.

"Beautiful! The red compliments your brown eye like the silver compliments your blue one.-" She then went on a rant about what dresses would go with it and I turned to Keefe with the stare. We apparently were both obsessed with one of our features, for him it was hair and for me, its face and eyes. I take good care of my face, creams, oils, face masks everything. I also spent years training my eyes to look how I wanted them to, sad? Easy. Cold and cruel? Easy. Seductive? Easy. It's how I'm so good at hiding my emotions. . . . . don't read too much into that.

Anyway, Keefe handed me the mirror we always kept with one of us and Bianna was right, the red brought out the flecks of gold while the silver brought out the twinges of blue since alone my blue eye just looked gray and stormy. I smiled and moved to the next gift but Dex shoved something in my hands.

"Wha- wait is this my I pod! OMG!!" I grinned as I opened it and checked on my apps.

"Yup, I made it solar powered so you don't have to worry about the battery and it has a speaker so you don't have to plug those things in your ears." He said as I clicked on all my apps to see if they all still worked. YouTube. Check. Google. Check. Tiktok. Check. Everything else since I'm too lazy to say. Check. And most important, music. CHECK!!

I grinned and clicked on my music, playing my favorite song, oh how I missed you sweet sweet music. I put it on full blast so I could hear it over the whole room but apparently my silent question of what Dex meant that he put I speaker in when it already had one was answered. He enhanced it. The music blasted over the whole room and everyone went quiet to listen to it and turned our way.

Apparently, the elves were innocent little souls, thankfully, and didn't know what the song meant. By the end of the song everyone in the room dancing to the beat of the song and enjoying it. Ah, so music was what was missing from this celebration. Gifts, food, friends, chatting, and finally, I brought the music.

The adults unfortunately knew what it was about and all turned red. I just grinned and started to dance, but then the devil- I mean an angry Sophie walked in. What? She's scary when she's mad.

"(Y/N) FOSTER!" She yelled above everyone and the noise ceased and I froze. Ice practically shooting through my body. I turned around slowly to find my dear sister and Dex thankfully turned the music off noticing the tension to come. Everyone didn't dare make a sound probably experiencing the same fear, after all, she was like a demon when she was mad, she burned everything in her path and everyone made way for her. Scary. She's like honey, nice, sweet, and shy, but when angered or in the case of honey you took too much she was as deadly as, well, the deadliest thing out there.

Anyway, I slowly turned to see her with the most anger-filled face, she quickly converted it into a sickly sweet smile that can fool anyone with empty scary eyes. I shivered all too aware of that face. The last time I had seen it didn't end well, it was when I was ten and I had snuck out at midnight. Y'know that underground ring I was talking about and told you not to think about too much well I had gone there and apparently, she didn't want me going that night and hunted me down. When she found me she stormed past the guards that hesitated in stopping her well aware she was my sister, oh yeah I had a reputation. When she saw me I was sipping on alcohol, and let's just say she was mad. I am not getting into specifics. Too gruesome.

Anyway, she motioned for me to walk over to her as the parents entered the room and stopped noticing the tension. I shakily walked up to Sophie as she brought her hands up and placed them on my shoulders.

"What did I tell you about that song, (N/N)?" She said as her grip got tighter with every word. I grabbed her wrists as the grip got painful.

"N-not to l-listen to it w-without you." I stuttered as Sophie smiled wider. Heh, mom pick me up I don't feel safe anymore.

"And what were you doing?" She asked with a sadistic glint in her eye.

"I was listening to it! I'm sorry!" I yelled and she finally let go. She patted my shoulder a couple times returning to her normal not frightening self.

"Good. Now don't do it again or else." She said and I shivered as we sat back down. Keefe leaned over to whisper in my ear.

"She's scary!" He hissed and I gave him a hard stare.

"Ya think? Try living with her!" I whisper-yelled back and a cold sweat fell over both of us. We turned to find Sophie staring at us sweetly.

"What was that?" She asked.

"NOTHING!" I yelled before the commotion started and Sophie forgot about our argument.

"YOU BOTH PASSED!!" I heard the voice of Grady yell and I smiled. Keefe rose his eye brown at me.

"I passed, like I told you I'm fabulous," I said whipping my hair, which just so happened to be down today, in his face. I walked over to the hugging family and me being a secret introvert when it came to physical contact planned to sneak away or just stand there awkwardly but Grady had pulled me into it before I could escape and we were like that for like two seconds before our guardians released us.

We continued to speak then they forced me into another hug and I definitely did not melt into the warmth of it. Nope, I totally didn't. Just like how I'm definitely not touch starved. Nope, certainly not. I zoned out and as we were leaving Sophie rushed to her locker to grab something and I went on to munch on candy as Edaline just told me to try not to spoil my appetite for dinner later.

Sophie came back and handed me a box. It was black and when I opened it it had a silver pendant with a blue crystal in it. I rose an eyebrow at Sophie as she furrowed hers at the jewelry.

"Your locker was open and I found it inside." She said as she pulled out what looked to be a copy of it from her pocket. "I also got one." I just shrugged it off as we left. But before we left we heard an explosion and a stink spread across the room.

"(Y/N)!!!!" Fitz's voice roared as I snapped a quick picture of him with both my imparter and I pod and then sprinted out as he chased me covered in glue and glitter with a stench of soggy old socks and farts trailing behind him.
