i dont know, i get why people didnt like the ending but its. .. . it makes more sense in the comicverse. bc the squad doesnt really. .. interact outside of jobs? i mean, think of the moon landing story in ttt. that was booker and joe and nicky doing a job and andy only showed up a for a couple minutes after it was done. or the brunch in the first issue of opening fire. the squad arent as tight in the comic, and andy often seems to do her own thing outside of work, so andy saying 'i dont want to do work anymore' and the squad being like 'alright bye then' makes more sense in this universe than the movie one

also i feel like greg was Trying to set up a thing where nile becomes the Leader of The Squad after andy dies but like. its not very well done since. . . i mean, nile hasnt spoken to booker since opening fire, (and she only knew him A Day). and shes known joe and nicky all that time, but there isnt really anything that indicates that they have any relationship at all, much less one that's grown. in all the comicverse the only time nile and nicky speak is in FM, and in that scene nicky tells nile about noriko. nile goes from someone who needs to be set aside to have background knowledge explained to her to being the Leader of the group with nothing in between. it kind of... comes out of nowhere.

on the other hand tho... i felt really bad for andy thru the whole thing. well, i always felt bad for andy, but in this one she seemed so miserable, especially since it really felt like none of the others actually.... cared about her. when noriko came back no one asked andy how she was doing (big question ik, but it wouldve showed they cared at least), nobody ever expressed any concern for her, no one even really seemed to want to be around her. in opening fire everyone was more distant than in the movie of course, but there were little moments where she would joke with joe, or nicky would try and comfort her, or stuff like that, but in FM it really felt like they just didnt really care about her. & in opening fire it felt a lot like andy's relationship with nile breathed some new life into her, but in FM it felt like all they did was argue. i get theyre not *as* close in the comics but it really felt like the only person who cared about andy at all was noriko (which was probably also how andy felt) but it just seemed to come out of nowhere. honestly i was reading and i was honestly agreeing with andy that she might just be better off if she did just die. opening fire, on the other hand, never make me feel that way

tho everyone made it sound like when the squad split up it was one of those cursed 'the found family leaves each other at the end of the journey' tropes. but guys i mean,,, this is the second installment out of three. that isnt the End. theyll come back in the third one and Dramatically Reunite to fight some baddies (probably those 'others' noriko mentioned). im guessing yitzhak fits into that too somehow.

anyways it wasnt That Bad but it made me kind of sad and the only Sweet Found Family vibes in it were when they saved booker. also they shouldve beefed up that nilemoose romance, it underwhelmed me. 6.5/10

i also ABSOLUTELY understand all of greg's comments about how you couldnt make FM directly into a movie, he always said that it had no plot and. i get it now. it really didnt have a plot sdfghjkl

obviously irresponsible attitude has led to some Bad Decision Making including but not limited to partying and drugs. he doesn’t prioritise that lifestyle over his school work (bc he knows how lucky he is to be at columbia at all) but he is a big believer that you need to experience things to be a great artist and he plans on being the greatest artist so bad decision town here we come !!!!

May Reading Wrap Up

I'm actually really proud of myself. I finished 13 books last month. Spent a lot of extra time away from screens and focusing on my mental health so I burned through way more than I normally would. So anyways, here's my reviews. - Also please understand that these are just my opinions and if I shit on your favorite book I'm sorry that I didn't enjoy it as much as you. Also, also Im terrible with character names.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor ⭐⭐⭐

I actually started this book at the end of April but didn't finish it til May 1st so whatever, here it is. This books is a YA urban fantasy novel about a girl with a double life. She spends half her days studying art in Europe and the other half running errands for a tooth collecting wish monger. I don't want to say a whole lot more because I dont want to spoil anything important about the plot. So, I'll try to be vague. Let me start by saying this story is amazing. I loved the writing and the world. I rated it so low solely because I can't stand the two main characters and it really dragged down what would have otherwise been an amazing novel. So yeah, great book but its a preference thing. Also took points off for the insta-love but not really insta-love shit. Idk. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this read even a month later. Gonna read the second to see if maybe my hatred of the two mains was just a fluke.

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw

Realizing now how many of my reads this month were pretty middle of the world. Hopefully next month will be filled with 4 and 5 stars. Anyways, this book was honestly a struggle for me to finish and Im not sure why. It's a YA mystery magical realism story about a tiny coastal town that is cursed by the spirits of 3 sisters who were suspected of witchcraft and drowned 2 centuries prior. Because of this, every year the sisters return from the sea to take the lives of teenage boys by luring them to the sea. We follow the life of kind of meh and standard YA girl #1. She meets a strange non tourist boy and hires him to work in the lighthouse her family owns. Her dad randomly disappeared years ago and her mom is a loon. So yeah... I dont know. I kind of felt like this story was hot garbage in places. I usually dont have any trouble with the suspense of disbelief in magical realism stories but this one just had too many plot holes. Like, I get morbid stuff becomes tourist attractions but why wouldn't someone have stepped in and evacuated the town if at least 3 teenage boys die there EVERY SINGLE YEAR without fail? I honestly feel like the FBI or some other government agency would have cleared the place out after the first 20 or so deaths. There was also the whole MC can see the ghosts of the girls possessing people but chooses not to tell anyone? Like, I get it. You dont want people to label you a freak or think you're crazy but come the fuck on. You live in a tourist trap where people flock to watch local teenage males wash up on shore and you really think the authorities arent going to take you up on the help? It wasn't an awful book by any means. It was well written and extremely descriptive. Just had major beef with some of the details. Anyways, I wont say much more so I don't spoil the whole book.

An Enchantment of Ravens by Maragret Rogerson

Finally, I get to talk about one of my favorite reads of the month. I love anything to do with the Fae in my YAfiction and this was literally everything I wanted in a Fae novel. It takes place in a town called Whimsy, a humanish town in the world of Faerie. The fae cannot do any Craft, or what we would consider craftsmanship. Art and humans who can do it well are very precious in this world because the Fae can't ever do it themselves. We follow the adventures of a girl who has been commisioned to paint the portrait of the Autumn King and the chaos that ensues. Let me just start by saying this is one of those insta-love situations where I feel like it's genuinely ok. I might be making excuses because I loved the title so much but whatever. It's explained and I accept it. Also, I realize that Gadfly had a lovely description but my brain willl not let me picture him as anything but Mr.Waternoose from Monsters Inc.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

This book started out so good and went downhill very quickly. It follows the story of these two magicians who were fated by their Master's to one day fight to the death. There were so many things I loved about this book only for the last 100 pages to just take a firey dump on my face. I loved the setting and the majority of the characters. The supporting characters were so deep and interesting that I almost cared more about them than I did Ceilia and Marko (Im proabably wrong and I dont feel like googling but I think that was his name) . I don't know. I don't want to complain about anymore meh books.

Went into this book expecting to hate it. I usually don't like contemporary love stories but this had major City of Ember meets The Giver vibes and it just appealed to that 14 year old girl in me again. That seems to happen with a lot of dystopian utopia stories. Anyways, story is about a girl who lives in this town where when you hit a certain age you are brought to a place and told who the government has chosen for you to marry. She is matched with her life long best friend and all is well. Except that her little Get To Know Your New Husband microship thing showed her two guys instead of just one. And lots of bullshit ensues. I honestly think I rated this so high because I enjoy the world and not so much whats actually happening to the kids. Like, I loved the idea that art is harmful so the government chose 100 acceptable pieces and thats all these people know. I loved the brutality of the government in general. I can't say much more without spoiling some of the twists but geez did it have me hooked. I'm going to be started the second one soonish, though my TBR for June has gotten intense so we will see.

Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh

Got sucked into this book by the cover and honestly that was the best part of this book. Its about this world where necromancy is pretty highly regarded and used to resurrect the royals after they die. The only downside is that if a living person ever lays eyes on the resurrected person's skin then they turn into these horrible monsters. Maybe it's just me but like that absolutely does not seem worth the risk. Plus, in order to bring the person back, these reapers have to go into the death world and bring the spirit back. And it's HELLA DANGEROUS. So like, WHY? Anyways, there is this stupid underlying love story that I absolutely wasn't invested in. This just all around was not a good book.

Little known fact~ I'm obsessed with Monster High and Ever After High. So yeah, I realize this wasn't targeted to me as an adult but even going into it with an open mind I was disappointed. Granted I didn't read the description of the book prior. I just saw this franchise I love and grabbed it. First, if you are a fan of the mini series and the movies do not read this. It doesnt follow the cinematic canon and I think that was my biggest problem with it. Frankie's character was all wrong and I hated the whole"Normy" cast. Was really excited for these but I definitely won't be continuing the series. I don't even want to torture myself with seeing how they manage to ruin my sweet baby Draculara.

Have had this on my TBR for a while because of how many Booktubers have hyped the series. Buy, was I disappointed. I was soooooooooo bored. Maybe it's because I don't really enjoy this type of fantasy or maybe it was just the slower paced story but I just slugged through this book. Both of the main female characters were bland to me and I didn't care about their friendship. The world was cool but not enough to keep me invested. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Picked this up because of how much I loved The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein and it didn't meet my expectations. It follows this girl who works for a paranormal gorvenment group. She has a special ability that makes her really useful to them so they are trying to groom her basically. They capture this changeling and she befriends him and there is an overarching plot that I just didn't get invested in. The friendship between the two main characters was pretty much the only thing that I enjoyed in this title. The mother figure was insufferable and I just didn't really understand the whole org that they worked for in general. Not an awful book but not fantastic.

Solid 3/5 stars.

The Siren by Kiera Cass

Going to preface this by saying I might be biased. I love Kiera Cass and have enjoyed almost everything she has written. That said, this wasn't nearly as good as The Selection series but it was a pretty good stand alone novel. It about a girl who becomes a siren on her deathbed and spends the next 100 years serving the sea by luring people to their deaths. After doing this for 70 years, she falls in love and pretty much ruins everything. Loved the characters, especially the male lead. The insta love was a little pet peeve of mine but the love interest was so sweet and genuine that I was willing to overlook it. Pretty good read if you dig supernatural romance.

Okay so I'm gonna go on a little bit of a rant here. It literally doesnt mean anything, it's not serious by any means and is extremely superficial. It's just a few issues my mom and I have both been having and I just wanna get it off my chest because it's been really nagging at me.

So, about a year ago, mom and I both invested in new laptops from Lenovo. At first, we both really liked them, considering what we paid for them (and considering how long it took to wait for mine, almost forgot about that part). But now... kinda wanting an upgrade even though it's only a year old (not that I can afford one, of course, and I'm not about to ask). Course, it still works (not well, sadly, but it does), and so does my mom's, but I've heard her say on more than one occasion that she absolutely hates her laptop.

I think the main reason I'm so disappointed is because of the battery life. Now, it's a laptop, I shouldn't expect much, but to put it into perspective, a few years back I was using a dinosaur of a Toshiba laptop, which was already years old by the time I got my hands on it. This thing had like no battery life. Lasted 3 hours (if even that, I think after a while it lasted 1 hour) off charger. When I was looking for a new laptop after that one completely broke, I was looking for something with longer battery so I didn't have to wear down the battery life by keeping it on the charger 24/7. So when I got this new laptop (it's the Legion Y520 btw) and saw the battery life was the exact same that I had been dealing with, I was really disheartened. But I wasn't about to complain because, of course, mom was paying monthly for this thing and it was pricey (she just finished back in december), so I was very grateful to have something that runs games well (and actually runs Subnautica without many issues) and I can watch videos in the highest quality settings (which I was super impressed with. Even now I'm still impressed with that fact).

Now, though, mom and I are having deal-breaker issues. One problem on my end that absolutely does not have a fix, is the fact that when I close the lid of the laptop, it acts as if it's still open. So if I minimize chrome, shut the lid, and leave the room (or even, if I go to bed), sometimes I'll hear noise coming from it. When I open it up, it turns out that chrome had re-opened and was playing a video somehow (and you can imagine my absolute fucking confusion when I walk in the room or wake up to hear Jack or Mark screaming). This happens every few days and I don't know if I should blame the cats (who like to run on my computer often), but even so, if the lid is closed that should not happen! It should be in sleep mode. And, I've noticed that the keyboard lights dont always shut off when I shut the lid, so the computer acts as if it's still on even though the screen is black.

Another huge issue: sometimes it won't allow me to start the computer at all. Either it does one or two things. It A) stays on a black screen with the keys all lit (meaning it's on but nothing's happening), or B) it'll stay on the lock screen page frozen so I cant click anything or enter in my pin to get into the computer, meaning I have to manually shut it off and turn it back on using the power button (which scares me because I dont want this computer to blue-screen-of-death on me because I have to do that almost every day). Then, once I do that, the backlight on the keyboard flickers for a few seconds before the computer turns on. Most of the time, though, starting up the computer from sleep mode after I had just been using it takes an unnecessarily long time, and it's super frustrating if there's something immediate I'm trying to do (like catching an upload from Jack). And I'm not gonna get into the issues with the keyboard and touchpad, because almost every review I've seen says the same thing: poorly designed, not very responsive to touch, yadda yadda yadda.

With mom's computer, I've watched it, while she was in the middle of using it, completely shut off on her. The screen went black and she could not turn it back on, even when pressing the power button. It was on the charger, so it didn't die. It just shut off. Also, her computer runs chrome very poorly for whatever reason, almost as if it's incompatible, so she can't even use that browser on her computer because it gives her too many issues. On top of that, she can't watch videos because it buffers and freezes way too much (which sucks because she bought the computer in part to watch videos on), and even when she's just using it normally it glitches out and freezes and she can't do anything on it at all, meaning she has to rely on her phone for a lot of things. She's also in college, like I am, so this isnt ideal if she wants to get things done. Plus, I've noticed her touchpad is way too sensitive, to the point where I can't use it to scroll up or down at all. Idk how to fix that though, didnt see any options for it but maybe I'll take another look and see if I really can't help her.

I can't afford to send mine in; not because of the price (if there even is a fee for sending it in for repairs, idk if mom bought mine with warranty), but because it's my first week in school and I cant take the risk of sending mine in and not having it for about three weeks since I don't have any other way of doing my school work. I dont wanna fail or get dropped from my class. Plus I've read that their customer service is outsourced in India, so I don't know if that's where my computer will get shipped to, but if I have to be without it for too long then it isn't worth trying to get them to fix it. I've also heard bad things about their customer service (and actually recall having a bad experience with them when I was trying to get my computer in the first place. Don't remember them being particularly helpful).

I know I can't afford a new gaming computer right now, so I probably wont be in the market for one for at least a few years (or whenever this thing eventually breaks), but I'm so afraid that my laptop will break before then. I can't afford to lose it but it feels like, with every forced restart, I'm getting closer to having it fall apart. I desperately need a computer on hand for school, now more than ever. It is great for gaming, but right now I'm mostly using it for school, and my computer absolutely needs to be powerful enough to run the Adobe software and other game design programs when I get to those classes in school (this is exactly what my advisor told me, too, so I'm a little bit nervous about this). I'm hoping it holds up until then, but as of right now, I'm extremely worried for it. The fact that my mom is also having issues with her laptop gives me some comfort, at least. I'm not alone, so I feel alright complaining about it (if I was alone in this I wouldnt say anything. Gotta be grateful for what I have, considering I could be much worse off). At least one thing's for sure: neither of us are purchasing anything else from Lenovo when we need to get new computers (and I believe my mom's replacing hers sooner rather than later, considering it barely works properly).

TDLR; both mine and my mom's computers are having major issues, I can't risk sending mine in to get it fixed, there are no fixes for mine that I could try that worked, and I'm extremely worried it'll break sooner rather than later because of constant forced restarting.

Hello friend!Boy howdy this is a complicated question, it’s gonna have a long answer so hold onto your ramen cause we’re going for a rideI really love the people here. That’s why a lot of people come- you can usually settle into a group of friends pretty quickly bc a lot of the students here are chill af, and 96% of the faculty are the most caring individuals you’ll ever meet and they take your life, as a learner and otherwise, seriously. Professors regularly email you if you miss more than a couple classes to make sure you’re okay, everyone knows each other, the President almost always strolls around campus giving words of wisdom (and occasionally hugs!) to people. It feels like home and that’s why I like it. Additionally, the academics are rigorous and challenging (depending on your major, you will probably be writing papers regularly, most of which will be at least 5 pages; there’s also our senior comp, which is a research project akin to a dissertation and is usually 20-150 pages long depending on your department), but the professors are really there to make sure you grasp the content. And the financial aid is pretty good- it’s still hella expensive, but they usually toss you a good wad of cash to get you going. THAT SAID. There’s a lot of problems, institutionally; some may affect you and some may not, and since I don’t know anything about you I’ll just give a rundown and you can come back with any specific questions you have. First. Our Title IX office (which deals mostly with sexual harassment/assault/etc) is HORRENDOUS. Cases are extremely slow to even be looked at and solutions are rarely implemented. In many cases, people who commit acts of sexual violence are allowed to stay on campus, which often leads to the survivors leaving- we are a small campus after all and you’re bound to run into them eventually. Just last semester, we had a student who had two PFAs (Protection From Assault/Abuse (cant remember which of those it is), a document ordered by a county court similar to a restraining order) against him who was permitted to stay on campus after two separate girls accused him of attempted sexual assault. The girls had attempted to go through our Title IX office, but that proved so ineffective they ended up going to county court instead (which is a lot of extra steps most of the time). There have been countless similar cases of our Title IX office responding inadequately or extremely slow; a friend of mine sophomore year requested to get her locks on her room changed due to an incident and it took them over two months to do so. Tldr; I have a friend that works at the local domestic violence shelter and they were having a training where the question of where to direct a college student who has been assaulted for help. One of the non-college people brought up Gheny’s Title IX office and every SINGLE student in the room made it very clear that that is the exact opposite of what you should do.Generally, Allegheny tends to be reactive rather than proactive; they respond to individual incidents when they happen (albeit usually poorly), but never take steps to make sure they don’t happen again unless the student body puts ENORMOUS pressure on administrators. During my freshman year, a student was hit by a car at night, due to the fact that the main road on campus (which is also a main road into town) did not have any street lamps. The student was killed. After running a campaign about pedestrian safety that felt EXTREMELY victim blame-y, they did install some lights on that road, but none of the others, so the rest of campus is still hella dark and I would probably not recommend walking around at night for a whole lotta reasons. Our racial diversity is... disappointing. Especially faculty. We have two Black professors left on campus, I think, plus some other faculty members here and there (there were a LOT more; there’s been at least 5-10 faculty members of color that have left since I came here in 2015); no Native faculty that I’m aware of, a couple Southeast Asian, a couple Latinx, etc, but it’s pretty dismal. We can recruit faculty of color but they don’t stay for long; partially because the school doesn’t appreciate the efforts they make and partially because Meadville (the town we’re in) is not always safe for POC. That tends to trickle down into students of color as well. Queer/trans stuff- we’re getting there. We have two trans faculty members that I’m aware of (one of which is a counselor and one who is an associate dean), and a handful that are some flavor of queer. Generally, you can walk around campus with your same-gender partner or expressing your gender however you like with minimal problems, though I would be cautious in town. We have some limited gender-inclusive housing options and all-gender restrooms in many of the academic buildings; when I was working in the IDEAS Center (our multicultural office) last year one of my projects was to go to every building and tally the restrooms in every building, how many stalls etc and I /think/ we got all of the single-stall bathrooms converted into all-gender because of that? And we may look into de-gendering some multi stall bathrooms if we can. We have some work to do here but we’re getting there. All in all- it’s a really great place in terms of the people you meet and the education you get. It’s really great for networking because our alumni are super involved with current students and it’s really easy to get into jobs and internships if you utilize the alumni connections. The education is also phenomenal prep for grad school, since the work you do here is only a half-step down from what most places require for a masters. Everything feels really homey and it’s easy to find your place- but it’s really REALLY hard to find help if something does go wrong. If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to do one of the overnight visits if you can, as physically being here is what really gives you the best feel for the school in my opinion.             “No, no just for me!” Viktor grinned, that sweet Russian accent bringing a smile to Yuri’s face like it always did. “Please, please, pleeaassee?” He begged, holding up his phone. “I have to go to Russia for a little while soon and I’m gonna be lonely.”

            “You’re even needier than me sometimes.” Yuri sighed, kicking back the blankets on the hotel bed and running his hands through his hair. They’d decided to spend a little extra time in Barcelona after the grand prix and this was their last day before flying back to Japan for a little time off together. Viktor had to go back to Russia for a little bit after that to train at his home rink, so they wanted to have some time alone for a few days.

            The other night after the Grand Prix and Yuri’s silver medal win, they’d had sex for the first time. It hadn’t been as big a deal for Viktor and all his experience, but for Yuri it had really been amazing and ever since, Viktor was all over him even more, knowing that he had permission now to touch him and see him naked and all.

            So that morning, Yuri woke up to a wide-awake Viktor, whining about needing naked pictures.

            “The only pictures I have of you are selfies of us. I need to remember this new eros-soaked Yuri that’s been blowing my mind the past two days.”

            “Fine, take what you want.” Yuri laughed, lying on the sheets in just a tight pair of black boxer-briefs and letting Viktor take all the pictures he wanted of that.

            “Yuuuri.” Viktor sang. “Pleeaassee? I want to see you naked again.”

            “Haven’t you seen me naked enough the past forty-eight hours?”

            “It’s never enough.” He stuck out his lower lip.

            “Fine, fine, just don’t send them to anyone. Seriously, alright? Your eyes only.”

            “I’ll swear on it.” Viktor raised his right hand and beamed when Yuri caved and took off his underwear, tossing it to the floor.

            “How did I land the cutest skater in the entire world?” Viktor mused, taking his pictures then tossing his phone on the foot of the bed, crawling in beside him. “I’m so proud of you, you know.”

            “I know, Viktor. You keep telling me.” Yuri laughed, pulling the blanket back up to cover himself and snuggling into him. “I’m still pretty sleepy. You have a lot of energy this morning.”

            “I’m just excited for another day with you.” Viktor grinned, pressing a kiss to the center of Yuri’s forehead. “Let me cuddle you up.”

            “Mm, just don’t go groping me too much until I’ve woken up a little more.” Yuri tucked his head into Viktor’s neck and shut his eyes, breathing in the scent of his cologne and relishing the softness of the other man’s silk pajamas against his naked skin.

            “Are you warm enough?”

            “Mhm.” Yuri yawned, feeling Viktor’s hand slide down to the small of his back. “Our flight isn’t until tonight, so we can still have some fun today. Will you work on that cute couples skate idea we had when we get home tomorrow?”

            “Sure, whatever you want.” Viktor murmured, giving him a squeeze. “It’ll be a nice warm up for both of us even if we can’t compete with it.”

            “I just want to do it for fun. I love skating with you.” Yuri hesitated a moment, still not used to it, then leaned up and kissed Viktor on the lips, just a soft peck, but it made both their faces turn red. “Sorry, it’s just too fun to resist.”

            “Well now you’ve teased me, so I get to grope you a little now.”

            “Hey!” Yuri laughed when Viktor slid his hand down further to grab his ass.

            “Mm, you have a little morning wood, can I blow you again?”

            “I didn’t know guys other than Chris typically liked doing that so much.”

            “I don’t understand why. Love is a partnership, it’s important to pleasure your partner. Especially when they’ve had to wait as long to experience it as you have.” Viktor leaned down and pressed a few kisses against the pale skin of Yuri’s neck. “You just relax, I’ll take care of you.”

            “Okay.” Yuri smiled, his cheeks pink as Viktor slid down the bed and got under the covers, coming over to lie between his legs. He still got embarrassed when Viktor did this stuff, but he didn’t feel nervous. Viktor didn’t have a judgmental bone in his body, so what did he have to worry about? “A-Ahh.” He breathed, his face turning hot when he felt Viktor’s mouth envelop him.

            Viktor slid one hand up to rest on his hip and gave that a gentle squeeze, a tiny little sign of affection to make the interaction more intimate.

            “Hhh… V-Viktor wait.” Yuri said, propping himself up on his elbows and reaching over to take the blankets away.

            “Hm?” Viktor took his mouth away and looked up at him with big eyes and messy hair. “Did I hurt you?”

            “No, I just feel bad making you do all the work and not get anything back.” Yuri blushed, bringing his legs up so that his knees framed Viktor’s face. “Do you want to just have sex again?”

            “Are you sure? Aren’t you hurting?” Viktor pressed a kiss to the inside of Yuri’s thigh since it was so close to his lips.

            “I’m okay.”

            “Well if my Yuri insists.” Viktor sat back on his heels and unbuttoned his pajama shirt, tossing it aside and sliding back up the bed to lie over Yuri. “Kiss me for a while first.”

            After an exhausting flight home and a quick family reunion at the hot springs, they’d retreated to Viktor’s room to recharge. Yuri really truly loved his family, but with the engagement, they were a little too all over him and he was really enjoying the perfect little bubble they’d put themselves in lately.             They spent the next few days that Viktor had in Japan doing everything they could possibly do together.             “Are you hurt?”

            “N-No, all good!” Yuri said, pushing himself back to his feet only for a shot of pain to shoot through his ankle. “Ah!” He fell again and groaned, clutching at his ankle. Shit, that felt sprained.

            “Yuri!” Viktor came skating out to meet him on the ice and knelt down beside him. “Man all day you’ve been under rotating then you went and spun around like that, what, were you going for a quintuple? Here, let me see it.”

            “Shh, shh just let me see.” Viktor said, taking Yuri’s foot and unlacing the skate. He slid it off and pulled Yuri’s legging back so he could see his ankle. “Does it hurt when I touch it here?” He pressed two fingers gently down on it and Yuri winced.

            “Can you move it?”

            Yuri wiggled it around a little and nodded. “Yeah.”

He wanted to make Viktor dinner and soak in the private hot spring together one more time and, of course, have goodbye sex.             The hospital wasn’t so bad. They didn’t have to wait very long and got Yuri right to an x-ray room. Viktor was really sweet. He kept pestering the doctors asking what he could do to make Yuri feel better, help him heal faster, distract him from any pain. It was nice being doted on. They set him up with a padded boot and a pair of crutches, so he could walk on his own again, but he wouldn’t be able to skate for about three weeks.

            Viktor took him back home and brought him to bed, surrounding him with extra blankets and pillows and his favorite snacks.             “Aw, I just want you to feel better.” Viktor mused, pulling the blankets up and kissing his neck. “Hey, take a selfie with me I want people to see what a cute caring boyfriend I am.”

            Yuri rolled his eyes, but pressed a kiss against Viktor’s cheek anyways so he could take the photo. “That good enough?”

            “Perfect as always.”

            “Wha? Chris it’s like three in the morning.” Yuri yawned, keeping his voice low. Viktor stirred a little bit in his sleep, so he put his hand into his messy silver hair to play with it and keep him relaxed and asleep.

            “Oh shoot, silly me. I always forget about the time zone thing. Anyways, I just saw your little morning photo shoot. You’ve been holding back on me all these years, Katsuki.             Yuri’s heart thumped, but he just rolled over to face away from Viktor instead of replying. He knew that was a little too far. It wasn’t right to scare Viktor that much when Yuri knew that of course he still loved him more than anything, but he couldn’t bring himself to turn back around and say it until Viktor left the room.

            Yuri wiped his eyes and sat up, patting the bed so Makkachin would jump up on the bed with him.             When Yuri woke up the next morning, he took a minute to work out everything he wanted to say. First was that he was sorry for not saying that he loved him and for making him leave instead of talking things out. Next was that he still had every right to be upset and Viktor should be a lot more careful with things pertaining to their relationship especially since they were in the public eye. But last was that Yuri forgave him and they’d deal with the PR problems of the leaked photo together.

            Yuri took a deep breath and reached over to check his phone. As expected, everyone he knew had messaged him either teasing him, or asking if he was okay, or both in most cases. He flipped open Instagram just for a moment and felt all the blood in his body rush to his cheeks when he saw the first post.             “Actually, I thought Makkachin should stay with you. You’re injured and you’re gonna be cooped up at home, so I thought you might like the company.”

            “Of course, don’t worry about it.” Viktor smiled, giving Yuri one more hug. “I’ll call you as soon as I land, okay? We’ll talk every day until you can come visit me. Rest up until then, you have to focus on healing right now.”

            “Okay.” Yuri nodded, squeezing him back extra hard. “Be safe. I love you.”

Recently I have been shopping around getting online quotes for auto insurance in hopes of getting better rates. Sadly that is not the case. I had neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain and terrible pain in my knee. I had MRI on back, knee and neck because those were the worst. That total was about $1800. I was told by the doctor that the mri on my back said I have two herniated disks and I should do therapy. I listened to him and went four times per week for four months. The Mri on my neck came back good. But my knee showed a tear in mcl. I had surgery on that and had to see the surgeon in his office twice plus hospital bills which equals a bill of $14,500. I then needed 2 months of therapy on my knee. Also all the pain meds ive been taking through out the whole process is around $600. I had a ekg for my nerves to test if they were good and that cost $800. So after doing my research I find websites that say the settlement amount s should be all bills multiplied by 3 depending on the persons insurance carrier and coverage. Well this person has $200,000/$200,000. So far all my bills have been paid through my insurance. When I do the math for what all the bills are is comes to roughly $28350. I didn't include the four days per week for therapy and seeing the doctors. That has to be a big chunk also. My lawyer called me and said he was made an offer of $42,000. He gets a 1/3 of that. I think they low balled me soooo bad on this. If i use the X3 multiplier method then it should have been somewhere around $85,000 offer. Remember I didn't even include all the visits to the therapy. Is this a good offer or should I decline and wait for second offer? My lawyer thinks we should wait it out because he has such a big insurance policy that we can get much more especially since that was our first offer.""

I got in an accident that I am not in fault. Basically I was stopped at the intersection behind the red lights. A car from opposite side ran the red light hit the crossing car and the second car spin and hit my car. I have full caoverage and fixed my car with my insurance and have my insurance claim the money from the first driver insurance company. I rent a car under my coverage and also pay $500 deductable to fix my car. Now is almost a month pass and I keep calling my insurance to know if they got paid by the other insurance and requesting to pay me back for rental and the 500. My insurance is telling me that they may not be able to get ever thing they might be get only the cost of the fixing my car. What should I do? Should I sue my insurance or not?
