I'm Just An Assistant Headcanons: Part One

Idea Post

• Chef finds it amusing while Chris doesn't, that the crew and interns listen to Noah more than they do, Chris. Noah has to ask for something once, and they immediately set out to do it, but when Chris asks, he has to ask multiple times, or it comes out wrong.

An intern made a mistake once when Noah asked for something....once. No one made a mistake again in the face of his anger. It was understandable given that the mistake could have gotten a lot of people hurt and destroyed a lot of weeks' worth of work.

He is understanding if someone is confused as long as they ask questions to clarify, but if they don't and they go on to make an avoidable mistake that person will get a very intimidating lecture and if they still make mistakes they are fired. He doesn't tolerate that kind of behavior, given they work on one of the most dangerous shows on reality television.

Plus, most of those who consistently make mistakes end up being spies sent by the network to make the show the way they want. Which is something Noah will not stand for.

The network/producers go about this way because they are way too intimidated by Noah to call or set up a meeting with him.

• No Noah and Cody cuddling in season one, so Sierra isn't antagonistic of him. She finds him fascinating due to the times he's been on screen and the number of fans it caused. It is oddly high, which Sierra hypothesized was because of SCVAMC Syndrome. (Side-Character-Viewed-As-Main-Character Syndrome) People see someone who is or essentially is a side character, and because they don't know much about them, they are intrigued and the little they find out becomes something special. It happens all the time in video games and anime. The more mystery or missing information, the more alluring.

That's essentially what Noah was, and she finds him interesting. She kept trying to find out more about him so she could really keep her status of being the top total drama blogger.

• Because of this, Noah tried to avoid her as much as possible.

• Almost immediately when the new season started, Heather and Duncan tried to intimidate or threaten Noah for information on the season, which he, of course, ignored or outright laughed at. They tried this all the time. At the beginning of the competition, a couple episodes after, the merge, and then more towards the finale if either made it that far. Duncan even accused Noah of helping Beth in season two, which he promptly shut down.

Noah was a lot of things, but he was not a cheater. He liked his job. Why would he jeopardize it by helping someone cheat? Yeah not likely.

If he was going to help anyone cheat, it would be Owen, Izzy, or Eva. But again, he would never do that.

• He's the reason Alejandro got cast as he picked him out from hundreds of applicants for the new season. Not Dirt Bags, though that is what Alejandro believed he was auditioning for. If Dirt Bags had been the real season, he most likely would have picked José but since it was a smoke screen for the real season, Noah chose Alejandro because he thought he would be the best fit. He didn't pick Sierra though.

Apparently, Blaineley had called in a hefty favor to put her assistant/informant on the show with the producers. Noah and Chris had said no, but the network offered Noah a pay raise, and they gave Chris more freedom with the season and the next two ones that were in the planning stages. They couldn't refuse the offer.

Technically, Noah could have, but he didn't want to. Not until he met Sierra. It wasn't until then that he was thinking he should have refused.

• Alejandro first saw Noah during the break between the Pyramid Over/Underline challenge and The Amazing Camel Race challenge since the crew and interns were setting up for the next challenge. They were directed to go to the white tent and get away from the heat. Alejandro was surprised at this because all he had heard about Chris and the show was the awful conditions.

But they were provided a tent that had little fans attached to some poles that helped a little bit from the heat. They were given chairs to sit on, though they were organized by team, so Alejandro was going to take the opportunity to get to know his team. It was as Owen, the utter oaf, was spewing some story of accidentally entering and winning a hotdog eating contest that Alejandro was snapped out of his less than polite thoughts by a water bottle being shoved in his face.

"What the-?"

"Here. You guys need to hydrate. We can't have any of you keeling over because of dehydration or heat stroke." A somewhat nasally voice said in perfect monotone. It was when he finally took the water that he saw the person who the voice belonged to, and Alejandro found his heart skipped a beat at the sight.

The boy looked around their age with tan skin that was peppered with many moles and beauty marks (angel kisses his Nana called them). He had dark, oh so dark hooded brown eyes that were perpetually lidded that had bags that somehow did not diminish his beauty. He had a small wrinkle on his forehead that Alejandro found and fought the urge to run his fingers across so he could see it relaxed. Then he eyes traveled down to his lips, his pouty lips that were...oh shit...moving because he was still talking to Alejandro.

"Dude, you okay? Do you feel dizzy or anything? I can have medical in here stat." The angel said.

"Ah, no! No. No. I'm good. Just a little tired, I confess." Alejandro lied, you know, like a liar.

"Mm. Well, you did carry two girls over a pyramid. It would make sense that you're tired. Rest as much as you can before the next challenge."

"S-Si. I will. Thank you for the water amigo." He stuttered!? Since when did he stutter???

He watched as the angel walked away and continued handing out waters. He watched until the boy was in the far corner of the tent talking to some of the interns. That was when Alejandro decided he must know who his angel was! He absolutely did not want to interact with his team more, so he sought someone he thought would know the answer while not making him feel like his head would explode when they spoke. He settled on Courtney, and when he finally found out his angel's name, he knew he was a goner.

Noah~! How perfect!

• Alejandro flirts with Noah whenever he can, which is surprisingly a lot, but Noah doesn't believe he is being genuine until Noah made a self-deprecating joke about it and Alejandro snapped. He didn't mean to crowd into Noah's space, but he couldn't help him. He desperately wanted him to understand. His flirting on the show was in his contract because that was the kind of character the network wanted, and though Alejandro had no problem with casual flirting, it was getting to him because he only wanted to flirt with Noah.

He begged him to believe him, and when Noah found out that, yes, the flirting was in his contract, he started to open up a little to the flirting though he was still a little wary. Alejandro counted it as a win and promised that once the competition was over, he would still be very interested in Noah.

• Teams!!!

Team Victory: Leshawna, Bridgette, DJ, Harold, Ezekiel, Lindsay, Sadie

Team Amazon: Heather, Gwen, Courtney, Eva, Sierra, Katie, Beth

• Ezekiel still has a contract with Chris to go feral, and Duncan still quits, which puts Team Amazon at a numbers advantage.

• If Noah isn't directly responsible for Harold's elimination, Alejandro or Izzy are the next options. And both are, in fact, responsible in this au! Izzy because there can only be one ginger! Jk, she does it because she overheard the guy lecturing her NoNo about how he could allow Chris and the show to be so culturally insensitive and that he was part of the problem. How dare he!?

Knowing her NoNo, he probably did the best he could! I mean, it definitely could have been worse than Chris dressing up like Rick O'Connell from The Mummy. Though she knew that was not what Harold was referring to, she just thought he ought to be grateful because she was fairly certain if Noah wasn't there, Chris would have worn a tacky Pharoah costume from Spirit Halloween.

Alejandro teams up with her once he catches on to what she's doing, and it's only because he heard Noah venting to some crew members, and he absolutely does not want his angel unnecessarily stressed. Harold is a cause of said stress, so he must go! (He truly is a professional simper)

• Yes! Chris's outfit is different! There will be a lot more differences in this au because Noah is working on the show instead of competing.

• There will also be more challenges! Some I made up and some inspired by RR! Since this is supposed to be a world tour, there will be two challenges conducted wherever they visit. One will be at a famous landmark and the other just somewhere well known or wherever they got permission to rent/film at.

• Courtney and Noah don't really like each other, so they have a small rivalry going on. Noah finds it entertaining while Courtney does not. He's the one who makes sure they can't be sued again. Courtney got lucky with her first and last lawsuit, but after that, Noah made sure to dot every 'i' and cross every 't' when it came to the rest of season two and the newest season.

Every time Courtney complained about something or threatened to sue for some imperceived injustice, Noah got to throw the book at her, so to say. His eidetic memory really came in handy there as he can recall and recite word for word her contract (plus everyone else's).

• Courtney and Alejandro do become friends, but Courtney is rethinking that decision when she realizes Alejandro has the biggest crush on Noah.

• Alejandro: "He wore his glasses today! Doesn't he look positively dashing!"

Courtney: "If I had a newspaper, I would smack you with it."

• Alejandro still doesn't like Owen, but he is willing to tolerate him because of all the Noah lore he drops!

Also, because his amor would be mad at him if he did anything to the buffoon.

• Noah presents a lot of the challenges with Chef, which means he has to dress up.

• Noah is actually pretty sure he's cursed because he always seems to get hurt in increasingly bizarre ways. Like the time one of the stupid apples for the New York challenge fell on him when he oversaw a small team while they were setting up for said challenge.

Or when he was bringing Chris another hot chocolate in the Yukon, and he got crushed by Trent. (Instead of Noah being launched off the chunk of ice by Owen, it was Trent.)

Before that, he had tried giving Bridgette her issued jacket when she shoved him away, yelling that she had a boyfriend. That felt like an overreaction, but he had no time to think on that because he stumbled back and slipped into a large pile of snow.

• The contestants watched as Chris worried and fretted over Noah and made him drink his original hot chocolate because he didn't want his emotionally adopted son to be cold! Think of his anemia!!! Noah was taken back to the plane to warm up before he was allowed back and decided to take Chris a replacement hot chocolate....his well intentions ended up with him being crushed under Trent and had Chef fretting over him in place of Chris.

He was grounded to the plane for the rest of the challenge.

Noah is canonically the youngest of eight sibling. Eight.

You don't grow up in a family that large, as the youngest and therefore the favourite victim, and not have a super casual relationship with touch.

This guy is light enough to be literally blown away by a strong breeze; if you think even for a second that his family didn't take turns carrying him around like a briefcase and abducting him from whatever he was doing into a Family Pile™ then you're objectively wrong.

(You also can't convince me that he wasn't spoiled rotten as the baby of the family.)

So frequent platonic touching is pretty normal for him, expected even, and he tends to be more tactile than his personality or demeanour would suggest.

He gives Owen side-hugs and pats on the arm every time the two interact, and wilfully flops himself onto Eva whenever he's overwhelmed and wants the company of someone comparatively quiet (she always uses it as an excuse to carry him to the gym and encourage him to bulk up, though it never works). He tries to tire out Izzy's boundless energy by play-fighting and grappling with her (much to his chagrin) despite him essentially ending up as her glorified chew toy, and often times passes out due to being a stick insect in human form.

It's unexpected, just how casually clingy he is to the people he trusts/likes.

The concept of affection of any kind is so foreign to him, especially positive physical contact- I wouldn't be surprised if he could count the amount of hugs his parents had given him on one hand.

And this is backed by his canonical desperation for acknowledgement! Every time he pursues Gwen, even when he's directly shot down and sometimes harshly rejected, he still tries to win her affections and festers the delusion that she likes him. After all, everyone who's supposed to care about him does the same! His parents, 'friends' or lack thereof, ect.; they all ignore/rebuff him so it must be a sign of endearment.

Additionally, he sleeps with a stuffed emu at the ripe age of 16/17- as stated by Sierra, which he never denies (not that there's anything wrong with that, stuffed animals are top tier imho). You know who else sleeps with stuffed animals? Touch-starved people.

Cody is incredibly attention-starved, touch-starved and, post World Tour, in all likelihood somewhat touch-averse- at least when it comes to other people initiating contact.

To elaborate; Sierra is constantly breaching his personal bubble non-consensually, which would inadvertently condition anyone into being at least a little haphephobic, but Cody himself is more than happy to instigate contact with people he trusts (i.e. hugging Alejandro when he protects Cody from Sierra overnight in Rapa Phooey!).

...See where I'm going with this?

We see these two cuddling twice in canon; once in the Awake-a-thon and again in the Celebrity Manhunt. Once is happenstance, but twice indicates a pattern or coincidence but I'm going to gloss over that for the sake of this post.

Plus, with their consistent proximity during Action, they had plenty of time to form some type of relationship be it friendly or more.

(Wouldn't you want to at the very least get some closure from the guy who kissed you/you kissed for the world to see? It would be awkward to completely ignore each other, and they literally shared a cabin at one point so it's not like they were strangers either. So of course they're at least cordial from Action onwards.)

Then, as Noah becomes more comfortable around Cody, his tactile tendancies come to play.

Cody, predictably, reacts skittishly at the alien phenomenon known as friendly touch and tries to play it off to preserve his cool-guy image. Except Noah's not falling for it. He's observant, if emotionally illiterate, and watching the guy you just backpatted in greeting jump five feet into the air and screech like a falcon is a flashing red alarm for even the most empathetically challenged people.

Eventually, Noah gets Cody to divulge his issues with human contact and offers his assistance to the brunette. If giving his pal a hug every now and then, and letting him in turn initiate whatever he's comfortable with, would help him overcome his rocky relationship with touch then Noah is more than happy to oblige. It's not like it's out of the norm for him, so he doesn't mind at all.

Then, gradually, Cody loses his touch aversion.

But a lifetime of isolation won't be magically cured that easily, and he finds himself craving Noah's embrace more and more. Again, the taller of the two is content to give him what he wants. Their agreement evolves into the duo napping together and feeding into Noah's sleep-hugging habit, or just spending quality time in a heap of pretzeled limbs under a weighted blanket.

(Whether their relationship is platonic or romantic is entirely up to interpretation, though I'm partial to the two being friends who are just Like That since it allows for the funniest potential character interactions. The bromance is real.)

That's as good a place as any to end the post, before I end up writing a whole drabble.

In Between Seasons (Total Drama Pop Culture)

So, after the Total Drama World Tour, the contestants have a two-year wait before the next season is aired, allowing them to recover from injuries (Alejandro) and focus on graduating High School. So here's a bit of slice-of-life from now and then, plus some highlights of their motivations for coming back on the show.

Chris has been cashing in on his status as Total Drama host, making guest star appearances on shows and even movies

Noah has returned to working as his personal assistant since Chris can’t find anyone more organized and amusing than him, kinda grown a soft spot for the boy and asks him to take care of himself. When he doesn’t seem to be acknowledging his health, Chris calls up Eva, Izzy, and Owen to do it for him, even paying them a little side cash to do it. With the paychecks Chris gives them, they are all able to go to secondary school after they graduate.

Thanks to Chris looking out for Noah, Team E-scope is back in action with Owen hanging out with them (Izzy jokes Owen’s like their loveable mascot). They regularly hang out when Noah goes for his lunch break (and they go to a cafe/fast food joint) or when Izzy isn’t on set for filming. They catch movies together, go to open parks to be able to freely mess around, and even go to the library (Eva tricks Noah into getting stronger by making him carry all these big books she’s gonna “check out” from the library)

Yes, Owen and Izzy are a couple (Only after Noah lectured Izzy about being a good girlfriend to Owen, he knows that she is sane and only undermined her in front of Alejandro so he wouldn’t see her as a threat or a pawn for the eel [but Izzy ended up leaving the game early again] and because he didn’t like Owen being treated poorly (even if it was for the sake of her game strategy), he’s all for her messing with all non-Team E-scope)

Also, they get Owen unhypnotized so the word “Revenge” doesn’t affect him anymore

Heather, Sierra, and Cody hang out together after the show much to everyone’s surprise. With Heather’s help, Sierra calms down on her fangirl over the cast saying she’s part of them now and friends with them like her friends from school which helps Sierra see them as normal people at least enough that she is like them. Heather also hangs out with them more than her “friends” she made when she was in school (since Sierra and Cody are genuine people). 

Cody does hangout with the Drama Brothers, making songs with them still, but takes more hands off the fan interactions as he doesn’t want another crazed fan, and he doesn’t show his face anymore, opting to edit music videos with Sierra

Heather is a little bit distraught that Alejandro never contacted her after the show, not knowing that he was unable to due to being hospitalized

Sierra left her fan blog on hiatus since she’s now enjoying living the moment with her friends from the show, and while she still keeps up to date with them, she keeps it to herself, going on to have new hyperfixations on things like Doctor Who and musical theatre (You know she gets Heather into the musical Heathers)

Duncan is back in juvie and Gwen writes him letters about home, how school’s going, and how she misses him. She also writes in the details of how she crashed her prom, Duncan writes back he wishes he could’ve crashed it with her. He also brings up in his letter about this new runner of juvie, Mal, who has given him some ideas of how to mess with the other contestants once they go back on the show. Gwen just admits she hopes she’s able to win so she can go to art school without having to worry about Student loans

It’s a long-distance relationship, and they think it’s working but once they see each other again they both expect different things of the other only for it to fall apart (which sets up the fuel for the fire when Courtney drama happens)

Leshawna is grasping for straws for fame, feeling like fans are forgetting about her, going as far as making her own rap videos with her gal pals back home who are doing it with her to get famous themselves, however, it kinda goes nowhere once her pals get noticed and they leave her behind for pursuit of their upcoming career. She calls up Harold when she’s down (they are also long distance), and he brings her back up, she thanks him, saying she appreciates him and how she can always count on him. She asks Harold to be her date to her prom which he happily agrees to, and even if she doesn’t have anyone there who supports her, Harold is all she needs that night

Harold is doing alright, the Drama Brothers are kinda divided, Trent and Cody are taking a faceless approach to their name while Harold and Justin stay on the covers and music videos. He’s the one who helps Trent compose the music files together and then sends them to Cody. He’s a little burnt out from all the work being the middle man (and Justin’s not helping) and he misses seeing Leshawna since she’s the only girl who liked him while he was nerdy, so he’s ready to get on the next season since he’ll get to see her again and not have to worry about working on a computer all day, also he wants to stick it to Alejandro

Ezekiel made such a stellar performance for acting like a feral creature on the show that he’s been scouted for other various feral roles. Giving great performances for each, but he is beginning to get tired of constantly getting the same archetype and wants something else so he thinks the next season will be his chance to showcase what else he can do

Tyler and Lindsay are a celebrity couple now, both appearing in magazines and modelling for big fashion designers. They go on double dates with Beth and her boyfriend. They talk about old times (TDI) and how they miss being on the show together, Beth mentions she would like to spend time with some of the cast members again as she doesn’t get to interact with them as much as she’d want to on the Aftermath. Once they find out it’s gonna be about Pop Culture, they all double down on wanting to be on the next show

Geoff and Bridgette are doing great, Bridgette has sorta moved on from the show busi, focusing on school (and she gets that scholarship) and having a great time doing sports. Geoff on the other hand is cashing it in on his time for hosting the Aftermath, taking up gigs for hosting other shows or guest star appearances, at least until he messes up big time and blows up a set, costing a studio big money and gets fired, hence fueling his desire to be a contestant on the next season

DJ is not having the best time, he still believes he got the animal curse, but thanks to Geoff, he got a few gigs to at least have some money to make sure he and his mama are living in an apartment (unfortunately a lot of those minor roles for horror movies where he gets no memo it is a horror movie until the horror is playing out in the scene and he screams bloody murder, money’s too good to deny it tho) He just hopes he actually makes it this season though, and he trains a bit since the only reason he ever gets out is because of the challenges and not the voting

Courtney is a complete social mess. She’s graduated and moving on to Law school, but oh is she isolated. She trusts no one but herself to get where she wants to be, earning her scholarship through hard work and determination, her once school friends are all concerned and have tried to reach out to her but she pushes them away not trusting anyone. She finds herself dreaming about Alejandro since her lack of socializing with people and his sweet interactions with her cause these little fantasies to be created. She also has bad dreams about Duncan and Gwen from time to time. She regularly visits her therapist and it helps her keep level-headed enough to work and study just fine, but when she is advised to sit the next season out she storms out of the office, fuming that her therapist would even suggest the idea. She still has so much to prove and she’s not quitting until the million is hers!

Alejandro gets regular visits from his family (specifically his mama and Jose). His mother really helps him relax and eases him about all his worries, he feels like he’s healing faster when his mother is there. Jose, however, is nothing but a nuisance. His brother visits him to gloat at how he lost a million to a volcano, bringing up his most embarrassing moments on TV, and saying “Maybe I should’ve been on the show, I would’ve done so much better than you, Al.” all the while drinking in Alejandro’s rage. Alejandro is determined to win more than anything now to spite his brother.

Once it’s announced that Noah is on the next season (and Eva), the fandom blows up with those outside his fanbase betting when he’ll get eliminated, many pointing out how he is always the first to be voted out on his team (and they’re betting Eva will be an early boot too). So out of spite, goes up to Izzy, with Eva, and tells her they’re getting serious and making a game plan to get to the top 3. Izzy trains them with mini-challenges, making sure they’re good at it but making sure to scold them to not show off (Izzy tells Eva that even though she can’t hide her strength, she can hide other things aka taking team orders and not taking leadership since the “smart” players are gonna want to keep pawns to use). She tells them to look for loopholes and exploit them, bringing up how she exploited her Escope elimination. She also brings up a chart of alliances they’ll need to make, enemies to stay close (Heather and Alejandro are highlighted), and enemies they need to take out immediately (Leshawna, Beth, Duncan, Gwen, and Courtney are highlighted), she even lists each players’ strengths and weaknesses. Noah and Eva are surprised and impressed, they know she is smarter than she lets on and the crazy persona is nothing but an act, this just takes the cake with how much she strategizes and takes the game seriously, and they feel confident with their leader.

Also, Izzy is her real self around them (not crazy) since they’re not around the other contestants and away from the cameras. Izzy is aware that her biggest setback in her previous seasons was that she kept her smart strategy to herself and working solo hasn’t gotten her the million, hence why she is showing her genuine intellect self to Team E-scope, two heads are better than one and you always need brawn to go with the brain. With all three working together, she believes the million is guaranteed to be theirs, and they all agreed to split the money anyway

Chris notices Noah is fitter and him testing out small manipulations on his co-workers (who don’t realize), and knows something is up

To throw off everyone and their strategies, Chris introduces new contestants to the show

Can we talk about how Jimmy wanted Bron breakker, Jey wanted fucking Rey Mysterio😭, and Sami wants Seth Rollins??? All of these recruitments are fucking crazy, and love how ALL of them have beef with someone in og bloodline.

Seth sacrificed himself for Cody, so Cody could win. Seth obviously has a long history with Roman.

Bron took the title from Jey and had a rivalry, also he had something with Sami big time.

Rey Mysterio literally got the rage titles taken from him by the Usos.

The long term storytelling and choices are so interesting and also I think it reflects on the people who picked them.

Jimmy is aggressive he's also not that trusting of Jey or Sami, sometimes so who else better to pick then someone who doesn't trust Sami and might not trust Jey with a aggressive style just like him.

Rey, the legend, and face who's kind. Rey being chill and probably even forgiving Jey with Jey being a face, Jey being someone who's been about trust and being equal this whole time and he was asking Rey but fully trusting in Sami.

Sami, going for a loyal, trusted option. Now why would I dare say Seth is loyal or trusted? Because Sami can and knows, he is obvious of the history and did it once, he believes Seth can come around to it. Plus there is familiarity with picking Rollins aside from the shield, both are good with each other and both worked with Kevin Owens. This is someone Sami trusts and knows, and Sami is very trusting and his whole thing has been about saying sorry and forgiving. Who else better to pick than Seth Rollins then???

don't know if this has been asked before or if you have answered this already, but how does the afterparty (I don't remember the name exactly, but the eliminated contestants plus the contestants that didn't get in) feel about this whole situation between cody, noah and sierra, are they being being stupid like duncan or mean and malicious like alejandro, are they on noahs and codys side or sierras? how do the rest of team e-scope feel about it (eva and izzy), are they ready to fight sierra for hurting noah and cody?

also, how do their families? specifically noahs, since codys mother and father are implied to be neglectful and likely wouldn't care to watch a show their son was on and I don't know if its the same in your au, sierras we don't know (I can't remember if we ever met her family members), and noah we know to have 8 sisters and a mom and since noahs like. the baby - I think their reactions are going to be very interesting if they are even established at all

This ask actually made me pause and seriously think about the Peanut Gallery. So I made a bullet list of all the contestants in the Peanut Gallery and their (mostly) individual opinions on the situation. I'll let you decide if they're stupid or not

Katie and Sadie: Sympathize with Sierra. All she is is a girl in love, who's Noah to ruin that?! Like, soooo not cool!

DJ: Doesn't sympathize with Sierra, but doesn't agree with how noco kissed without setting her straight. Isn't really on anyone's side.

Leshawna: Does not like Sierra's persistence. Completely understands Noah and Cody doing what they do behind her back.

Harold: Compelled to agree with Leshawna. Also likes Cody, therefore feels bad he has to deal with Sierra. He's happy Noah makes him happy.

Beth: Thinks Noco's "forbidden love" situation is super sweet and sappy. She's on their side.

Justin: Cannot fathom why Cody would want to be with Noah when Sierra is so much prettier and treats him like a God. Also doesn't like Noah in general.

Trent: Is happy Cody's happy with Noah, but feels bad Sierra's heartbroken, regardless of what she's done. Mostly neutral.

Izzy: Noticed Noah had a crush during her time on the game, but only found out it was on Cody when she watched the London episode. She's proud he went after who he wanted. Got a pit in her stomach when Sierra attacked Noah in Greece.

Eva: Finds the whole situation incredibly stupid. Cannot understand how love makes Sierra so obsessed. Would maim her if she had the chance. Someone put them in the ring, actually.

Lindsay: Is not paying attention. Sees Tyler is friends with Noah (more on that later) so she likes Noah too!

Gwen: Made friends with Cody in the first half of the season and helped him out with his feelings for Noah where she could. Understands Sierra's insane and feels bad for Cody.

Owen: Feels awful about ever doubting Noah after watching Alejandro try to manipulate Cody by flirting with Noah. Plans to apologize to Noah as soon as he sees him again.

Now about their families (which I also had not thought too much about before this ask). They're on a scale to me. Cody's parents are on the "Not watching the show at all" extreme of the scale, Sierra's mom (cause I don't think she has a dad?) is on the "Obsessively watching the show" extreme of the scale, and Noah's family is somewhere in the middle, tuning in and out. Cody will come home, have his parents ask "How was the trip?", he'll answer an empty "fine" and they'll move on. Sierra's mom is loudly cheering her daughter on, cause she knows if she was there instead of her daughter, she'd be doing the same thing to Chris. She's proud of her for going after Cody and has an unhealthy hatred for Noah for getting in the way. For the first half of the season, Noah's family would watch the episodes as they aired if they could catch them. Most of them were there for London though. After that they started putting in more effort to catch the episodes. His parents are mostly worried for his well being, but his siblings are mostly cheering for him and Cody with every episode. They're gonna jump him (with affection) when he gets home.

whoever sent that take about wayne getting more attention than POC characters/characters with more development was speaking facts! i'm neutral towards wayne but i def feel that he gets the same treatment that cody gets- conventionally attractive white guy with no REAL personality or depth which makes it easier to project on him, hence why he's shipped with damn near anyone. Like he always seems to get talked about more than Raj and I actually saw someone say that he was more entertaining and complex than Millie and Priya.... Also can we talk about how weird some of the hockey bros stans can be? Maybe not so much on here, but on twitter and TikTok I always see them getting sexualized or babied. Like the number of times I've seen Raj portrayed as some innocent little baby that needs Bowie's protection... Need I remind you that he and Wayne are HOCKEY players, arguably one of the most brutal sports ever? also they're nice, but they def have their asshole moments (tbh i feel like that side of them should've been shown more) Oh, and the take with Owen and Wayne was true too...I fully believe that if Owen looked like Wayne or wasn't a plus size character he would've been as beloved as Wayne.

Part 1 Last Part

• Leshawna, Cody, Noah, Harold, Sierra, Gwen, Ezekiel, and Duncan have allergies. Leshawna with pineapples, Cody with so many freaking bugs and goat saliva, Noah is allergic to bees, wasps, pollen, and dust. Harold has many but most notably crab apples and gummy slugs. Sierra is a little allergic to soy. Gwen is allergic to eucalyptus. Finally, Ezekiel has a slight allergy to peanuts. It's not bad, but he really hates it because he likes the taste of peanuts.

• Noah has so much blackmail on Chris it's not even funny. Mainly, it's embarrassing blackmail because the man has a bad habit of texting Noah his 3 am. thoughts, and they are all so freaking stupid.

One of his favorites was "Do you think Chef would love me if I was worm?"

Followed by

"Do you think he'd love me more if I could cook?"

Then

"Would he love me if I was a cooking worm like that stupid animated rat?"

• New Labels!! We all know everyone gets a label, so I'm either giving them new ones or tweaking their old ones or leaving them the same. We shall go alphabetically.

- Alejandro: The Arch Villain. It's simple and to the point!

- Blaineley: The Gossip Queen. I feel like she should have gotten one despite not being in the season that long.

- Bridgette: The Surfing Hostess. A mix of her original ones, plus acknowledging her being co-host of Aftermath

- Cody: The Geeky Drama Bro. A reference to his band The Drama Brothers mixed with his original label.

- Courtney: The Intimidating Overachiever. I just wanted to make it longer XD

- DJ: The Teddy Bear. Why mess with perfection?

- Duncan: The JD. Chris thought it was a clever musical reference, plus it stands for Juvenile Delinquent.

- Eva: The Powerhouse Stunt Girl. Noah made him change it to something positive with the power of blackmail.✨️

- Gwen: Living Goth Girl. Look... Noah was sleeping deprived, and one of the interns was blasting, Living Dead Girl and his half asleep brain thought it was hilarious. Chris's fully awake brain agreed.

- Harold: Uber Geek Bro. Mix of other labels plus his band name.

- Heather: The Queen Bee. Why mess with perfection x 2.

- Izzy: Izz-sane Actress. Chris could not help himself and gave her a pun. Noah made him put the actress.

- Leshawna: The Reality Queen. A nod to her and Tyler's run of reality TV shows. Despite what Blaineley said, it wasn't Leshawna's desperate grab for her former fame. All the shows asked her to guest star, and she did great.

- Lindsay: Her Hotness. A callback to her Admiral Lindsay Her Hotness role. Noah knows it was a fan favorite character arch. Thus, he added it.

- Noah: The High IQ. Why mess with perfection x 3, plus, Noah thinks it will help people underestimate him again.

- Owen: Big O. Chris and Noah just went with Izzy's nickname for Owen.

- Sierra: Obsessive Uber-Fan. It fits, and it makes the cast just believe she is a super fan, and then they meet her and are like "ooooh...you were not kidding about the Obsessive part."

- Trent: Loverboy. Short. Sweet. To the point XD

Bonus:

- Chef: The Chef-of-all-trades. Because he does basically everything and Noah thought it was funny.

- Chris: The Host With The Most. Chris wanted to keep his classic label. (Noah calls him The Host With The Most Issues in his head.)

• When they were making the labels, Noah had to resort to spraying Chris with a spray bottle if he accidentally said something that would be seen as offensive. This morphed into Noah spraying him if he was being a diva, difficult, or just plain dumb.

• Noah immediately clocked Alejandro as too good to be true the moment they were in the craft services tent after being "rescued" by Chris and Chef. How? Because Noah was immediately attracted to him and Noah had bad taste in guys (or so his sisters say). Also, because, hello???? He auditioned to be on a show called Total Drama Dirtbags.

• Also also, Noah seems to attract ...eccentric types of people, and Alejandro chose to sit next to him on the bus. Well, in the seats across from him, seeing as he was sitting with Eva, and she chose the window seat. And he actually talked to him. To Noah, that was a big clue.

• When Noah and Blaineley get introduced to the merge people they each have to sing their own song. Blaineley, of course, songs her song Blaine-rific. Noah sings a parody of the song Roxie from Chicago with worked around lyrics, but he's hoping to spite the producers, and hopes they have to pay royalties or something for his song.

• Blaineley is pissed when she watches Noah's song because he got a costume that resembles Roxie's in the movie version somewhat, and some of the male interns even joined in as his background dancers and singer. He hoped Noelle was freaking proud because he performed the hell out of that song!

• Alejandro is definitely not jealous of all the boys pretending (they better be pretending) to fawn over Noah

• It's another instance of Alejandro being stunned by Noah, then he sees him in the wedding dress and blushes so hard.

• Bridgette and Noah are pretty good friends. They weirdly enough bonded over recipes since Bridgette is vegan, and Noah being Tamil eats a lot of vegan dishes whenever his mother cooks.

• Owen, Leshawna, Noah, Gwen, Alejandro, Courtney, Dj, and Tyler can all cook really damn good. Owen picked it up when he was trying diets, and he has actually lost some weight cooking for himself and his family. He's really proud. (So is Team E-Scope.) Leshawna because her aunties taught her and the senior volunteers at the shelters she helps at taught her too. DJ because of his Momma, of course. Gwen because she wanted to help her mom out, and sometimes, her mom was just so tired after working. Noah because his family sees cooking as a bonding experience. Alejandro learned so he could impress more people, but also his Nana wanted him to be self-reliant. Courtney because she didn't want to have to rely on others when she could do it herself. Tyler is a surprise, but he found out he could cook well when he started cooking for Lindsay for dates.

• Harold burned water once.

• Izzy isn't allowed in the kitchen. She likes to experiment too much.

• In Rapa Nui, when Chris was wearing the super short shorts, all the contestants there screamed in horror, and some even threw themselves to the floor. Noah slammed his face into the closest surface, which happened to be a very chiseled chest. Alejandro hid his face in Noah's hair.

• Chris was not amused at everyone's dramatics.

• I need you all to know that the Rapa Nui challenge isn't even a challenge because they couldn't close the rock fast enough, and Noah got picked up by the condor and taken to the nest. Which means he got his eggs all in the nest at once. Which means he automatically won.

• Chris comes up with a last-minute second challenge that whoever saves Noah gets immunity as well. (Someone save his son!)

• Noah is just trying not to freak out as the giant condor preens his hair like he's one of her chicks.

Ranking the Votes, s1a

Welcome to... Total! Drama! Ranking... the Votes! This series is a spinoff of Counting the Votes. I will rank each episode in season 1a (pre-merge Island) based on how confusing it was. There were 12 votes this season, so 12 will be the most straightforward elimination and 1 will be the most confusing.

Now, let's get a few technicalities out of the way first. Yes, Heather's math was off when she had Justin eliminated. No, we don't know whether Izzy or Lindsay was scheduled to be voted out that night. Yes, Harold rigged the votes against Courtney. And in the course of writing this post, I realized that some of my takes here are slightly different than they were in the original posts. I'm not changing that.

All that said, let's get to it!

12. The Big Sleep. No reason for the Bass to vote off anyone other than Eva, so this was pretty easy. 9 votes for Eva, 1 for Harold

11. Dodgebrawl. Gwen could have received votes for napping during the games, but a) she at least tried to play and b) she had just won the Awake-a-thon, so I think her teammates forgave her. Lindsay probably received votes for running off during the game, most likely from Heather and Noah. But Heather needed Lindsay in her alliance at this point, and she agreed with Gwen that Noah should "cram it". And Noah received votes for not even pretending to care about the games and instead focusing on his book. I'm going with 10 votes for Noah, 1 for Lindsay

10. Basic Straining. Harold may have rigged the votes, but we can be fairly certain that all of the others voted for him. The only other Bass I would believe didn't vote for Harold is Bridgette, who probably voted for Duncan because he kept making Chef mad. 6 votes for Courtney, 4 for Harold, 1 for Duncan

9. X-Treme Torture. Geoff, Duncan and DJ definitely voted Harold. Harold definitely voted Duncan. The only wild card is Bridgette, who I'm guessing liked Harold more than Duncan due to her comments in Hide and Be Sneaky. Still, it wasn't enough to save him. 3 votes for Harold, 2 for Duncan

8. If You Can't Take the Heat... Heather and Owen voted onscreen for Beth. Beth and Leshawna obviously voted for Heather. Being superstitious means that Trent probably voted for Beth for cursing the team. That leaves Gwen and Lindsay. I'm thinking Gwen voted for Heather. So by process of elimination, Lindsay had to have voted for Beth. 4 votes for Beth, 3 for Heather

7. Not Quite Famous. Yes, Heather's math didn't add up. But really, only one vote is unknown here. If anyone outside Heather's alliance voted for anyone other than Heather, that would save her butt. Gwen definitely voted for Heather. Leshawna probably voted with her best friend Gwen. Trent and Cody probably voted Heather as well because they're both friends with Gwen. That leaves only Justin. While he probably understood that what Heather did was way out of line, his morals are not all that straight either, as he showed in season 2. Perhaps he voted Gwen for skipping out on the challenge, or maybe Cody for following Gwen. Or maybe Cody voted for Trent because he was a love rival. I think most likely is that Justin voted for Gwen, putting the vote at 5 votes for Justin, 4 for Heather, 1 for Gwen

6. Not So Happy Campers, Part 2. Zeke got all 5 female votes for sure. And I'm guessing he voted off Courtney for being a chicken. Duncan could have also voted off Courtney -- by his logic, she and DJ were "the only ones wearing chicken hats, and if we ever have to lift a truck, I like our chances with the big guy." Plus, I get the feeling that at this point Duncan isn't quite the ladies' man he became later on. And Tyler's tone in telling Lindsay that he could kill a cockroach too, makes me think he also understands that men are generally physically superior to women. We can assume Geoff, DJ and Harold voted for Zeke as well, since they all have a slightly better attitude towards women than they thought Zeke did. So I'm going with 8 votes for Zeke, 3 for Courtney

5. Paintball Deer Hunter. Owen and Leshawna voted for Cody onscreen. Beth and Cody probably voted for Heather. Given Heather's reaction to seeing Beth get her marshmallow, I think Heather (and by extension her puppet Lindsay) voted for Beth. That means Gwen and Trent had to break a 3-way tie. I want to give Gwen's vote to Heather but that would mess up the count, so I'm going to say that they both voted for Cody as a mercy vote. 4 votes for Cody, 2 for Heather, 2 for Beth

4. Phobia Factor. Harold and Geoff didn't receive a point for completing their challenges, but they didn't not do them because they were scared either. That's why Bridgette, Courtney and Tyler were on the chopping block. Guessing Tyler and Courtney voted for each other. Also guessing Bridgette voted for Tyler since she was friends with Courtney. And looking at who was making fun of Tyler after he was eliminated, it was probably Duncan and Geoff who joined them. That leaves DJ, Harold and Sadie. I can't give them all to Courtney because that would force a tie. I also can't imagine DJ voting for Bridgette, so I'll give his vote to Tyler since he was already good friends with Duncan and Geoff. That means Harold and Sadie could both vote for Courtney and it wouldn't matter. 5 votes for Tyler, 3 for Courtney

3. Who Can You Trust? Courtney made it clear that she was voting for Sadie. Sadie, knowing that Courtney was voting her off, probably returned the favor. But beyond that, it's not exactly clear who voted for who. The bottom two made it seem like the Bass were just voting off their weakest link. So I could definitely see Duncan and Geoff voting for Harold. By the process of elimination, Sadie has to have at least two more votes from Harold, DJ and Bridgette. I'd say Bridgette was one of them because she was friends with Courtney. And Harold obviously didn't vote for himself, so I'm giving his vote to Sadie as well. And DJ? Who knows. My first guess would have been Harold but that would cause a tie. So I'm going with Sadie as well. 4 votes for Sadie, 2 for Harold, 1 for Courtney

2. Up the Creek. I mean, Izzy did give the other team advice on how to win, and Leshawna seemed pretty ticked off at her. So Leshawna and Izzy probably voted for each other. As for everyone else? They spent a lot more time bonding with each other than turning against each other, particularly between Trent, Gwen and Cody and between DJ, Geoff and Bridgette. Gwen probably voted with Leshawna because they're best friends at this point. Maybe Trent and Cody voted with them too. I guess if the Gophers heard Izzy when she told the Bass how to get back, she would have earned their votes. But perhaps Lindsay and/or Trent earned a few votes too for falling into the quicksand. I think Izzy would've been eliminated anyway though, just because she made a much bigger mistake. But it depends on who is voting. Heather's priorities seem to be #1 helping her team win and #2 crushing Leshawna and Gwen. Plus Izzy was informally a member of Heather's alliance, so it's possible she convinced Heather, Lindsay and Beth to vote Leshawna. And Owen probably didn't vote for Izzy. But he could have voted for pretty much anyone else except Cody because he had that bet going with him. Maybe, given that Lindsay was in the bottom two, Owen voted for Lindsay. I'm going to say 4 votes for Izzy, 4 for Leshawna, 1 probably for Lindsay

1. The Sucky (Not So Great) Outdoors. (The word Sucky in the original Canadian Teletoon version was edited for the US Cartoon Network version.) This was the hardest to rank because it's easy to tell that there were 7 votes for Katie and Sadie, but impossible to tell who voted for which one. I'm also going to say that Katie and Sadie both voted for Courtney because she berated them when they returned to the campfire pit. So I'm going with 4 votes for Katie, 3 for Sadie, 2 for Courtney

I found as I was Counting the Votes that a lot of people's votes are easy to narrow down, but not so easy to pinpoint. The next installment of Ranking the Votes is coming at the conclusion of season 1.

- she had already started to have a bad feeling when noah and cody started to become friends. at that point she had completely isolated cody from most other people saying it was to "keep him safe" and that she "didnt want anyone to hurt him". she had convinced cody that she had gotten better and cody believed it due to his parents being socially distant, basically ceasing all contact with them after he became an adult, somewhat because of sierra. and when she walked into codys house one day (using a spare key that he hid under a flower pot on the table on his porch.. wonder how she knew that) and saw noah and cody on the couch cuddling all her fears came true. she immediately started watching noah like a hawk while trying (and failing) to seem nice to him, noah can see right through it however

- she has bpd (projection lol) because her parents were busy working to provide for her and her little sister who she basically had to become the mother for, meaning she lacked the proper attention she needed as a child. she had found comfort in total drama and especially cody, soon finding herself obsessed with it. her dad had given here a laptop to entertain herself when they werent home and she used this to blog about total drama.

- she somewhat still has a crush on cameron but she is more obsessed with cody. plus cameron is too busy being a scientist working for an important company (and kissing lightning lol) for her to go for him

- (tw murder, suicide) she had killed owen to frame noah for killing his best friend. however her past accomplice, and wife of owen, izzy, catches on that shes the one who did it, so sierra has to shut her up.. and after she plans on coming after her and owens daughter, ozzy (yeah ik using the ship name as the kids name but ozzy is an actual name ok so its fine 😭) who noah and cody were now tasked to take care for after izzy and noah had a long talk about owens death, she had promised she would figure out who did it, failing to tell noah about her suspicions about sierra before she disappeared and soon her presumed suicide note was found and reported on. noah was devastated, because unlike sierra she had actually gotten better and her and noah started to warm up to each other.

- now to talk about her and heathers homoerotic relationship. they had reconnected at a reunion with all the other ex contestants, which is also where noah and cody also reconnected too, which sierra noticed to be a threat, so she planned to become good friends with heather, who is now a detective. and become good friends they did.

HAPPY SUMMER SLAM DAY! Here's my predictions.

Rhea Vs. Liv.

Liv will win. If Dom doesn't turn on Rhea + TJD then it's Finn. As glad as I am to see Mami back I would love for them to build a longer storyline of her vs. Liv that doesn't center around a man. I want Rhea on a fucking warpath just tearing through everyone to get her title back and it would be a bit of a waste to see her get it back immediately tbh. Also I do like Liv and am glad she's getting her time in the spotlight at last so it doesn't hurt to let her cook a while longer. If the rumors of Raquel or Charlotte coming back are true then I can totally see either one of them siding with Liv to get revenge on Rhea. Plus regardless of who wins I'm sure we'll see a rematch at Bad Blood.

Damian Vs. Gunther.

Damian will win. I'm so pumped to see Damian defend against Gunther, I hope it's a banger. Despite the botches at Clash at the Castle, each of Damian's defenses have been pretty solid and I would be sorry to see El Campeon's reign end so soon.

Bailey Vs. Nia

Nia wins. She's been solid as fuck lately and I just love her. I like Bailey a lot too but I think Nia has the edge here. Also Tiffany will be shown contemplating a cash in but will quickly pretend to change her mind when Nia notices. Bottom line is if a title absolutely has to change hands tonight then I'm okay with Bailey losing it.

LA Knight Vs. Logan Paul

LA Knight wins. YEAH.

(Since Knight stole the ugly af Prime truck, I'm pretty sure he's gonna roll up to the ring entrance with it but he'll have trashed it and/or spraypainted/customized it)

Cody Vs. The Bloodline

Obviously I prefer Cody to win but with Jacob Fatu in the mix, idk....Part of me says no way WWE lets their biggest babyface lose the belt after the drama of WM butttt Solo really wants to establish himself as the true Tribal Chief. IDK!!!

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens are absolutely coming back. Like Cody will be about to give up on his own or something and then the RKO music hits and they come back to help him and push him to the W. The Bloodline took both of them out weeks ago so it makes sense they make their return tonight.

Everyone wants Roman to come back. I also want this but don't see it happening tonight. We'll probably get Jimmy's return sooner than we get Roman's.

Sami Vs. Bronn

Bronn wins. I like Sami a lot but idk feels like the clock on his title reign is ticking down fast.

Mcintyre Vs. Punk

NO FUCKING IDEA. Ok. Well. Some idea.

Imo this should have been the Main Event of the night. No offense to Cody and the Bloodline but they main event everything else and this feud has been white-hot lately. I think Seth is gonna be on a major power trip as ref the entire match and will refuse to validate several pins which will anger Drew and Punk. I think it's going to build up to the point that Punk and Drew will briefly come to an agreement and take their frustration out on Seth, which will result in a no contest of the match. This way the feud doesn't end yet and will ensure a rematch at Bad Blood.

Obviously I would love if Drew won but my heart can't take it if they give us another fakeout where he wins and then immediately costs himself the title or someone else does it. No more, I beg of you! Of course if Punk wins it's just going to push Drew over the edge and I wouldn't be upset about that either bc there's nothing more I love than unhinged DM Hunk.
