okay i've been thinking about something for a while and i wanna see what others' opinions are because i don't really see this talked about like ever and i'm curious.

we all know wayne works nights. it's written into fanfiction all the time. in a lot of works, it seems a pretty prominent detail. i'm just wondering if it's ever been discussed what exactly he works. bc there's several distinctions when it comes to night shifts. i know this, bc my mom has worked nights on and off my entire life, only recently being moved to day shift at her current job.

like, there's a big difference between overnight hours, yknow? like, for example, it could be 11pm-7am, which is actually pretty different from, say, 8pm-4am. plus, all of this affects eddie's schedule too. yes, he is his own individual with his own mode of transportation and doesn't necessarily RELY on wayne as much as he would if he was a kid, but they still live together. it still has an impact.

personally, knowing he works in a bigger plant, as opposed to any other smaller company, i always headcanon he works a similar shift to what my mom did before they moved her to days; overnight 12s, 6pm-6am. maybe that's just where i go bc i know what having a parent working that schedule is like, but i wanna know what others think.

RIGHTTTTT like oh my god. the maddie-abby dynamic would be INSANE.

so i think maddie is actually like. the first thing that makes abby stick around. like suddenly this sister shows up and she's clearly fleeing an abusive relationship so abby's like ok well i shouldn't just ditch him rn he didn't ditch me when my mother got worse! and she figures she'll hang around until maddie gets settled in la. and at this point maddie's mostly just intrigued by this woman that her brother's in a serious relationship with like i think she's excited to get to know her!

and then just when abby thinks that she's good to go, maddie gets kidnapped. and as soon as she thinks enough time has passed since maddie's kidnapping, buck gets ladder trucked. etc etc. and somewhere along the way the buck/abby relationship gets just poisoned with resentment and buck refuses to see it meanwhile everyone else but Especially maddie is like buck... this is Not Good... and i think that maddie actually becomes extremely anti-abby because after her experience with doug she's like sorry but Zero tolerance for unhealthy relationship dynamics with my baby brother. and this isn't me saying i think abby becomes abusive or anything just that i think the relationship becomes very unhealthy and maddie's sensitive to that which perhaps drives a wedge between her and buck as maddie tries to ask prodding questions and he gets defensive of his relationship.

also. this is gonna sound very bold but i think witnessing a relationship where one party is obviously staying entirely out of guilt and obligation might have gotten eddie on the divorce train with shannon sooner. like i'm not saying it would have butterfly effect saved her life but i Do think it could have potentially aided eddie in his processing of their marriage after her death.

re: lawsuit here's the thing. i do think that at some point abby hits her limit and she just Leaves. like she can't face buck and say it so she straight up just leaves him a note and dips. and i think it might be incredibly likely that this limit comes after the tsunami. it's like a Sign for abby yknow this insane natural disaster occurs and she's like ok there's literally Never gonna be a good time to leave him i just have to bite the bullet and Do It. plus assuming she was working during the tsunami i see her being like i am DONE with this fuckass hell job.

so. now i am imagining lawsuit era buck except he is also trying to process the fact that his girlfriend of like two years just left him without even having the courtesy to break up with him to his face. and the humiliating realization that everyone around him saw it coming before he did and Told him and he insisted they were wrong. GOD. wow. okay.

lemme ramble for a bit

so i have this story in my head of my self insert and the bs they go through while working at the pizzaplex for like 2 years as a night guard

and originally they were gonna die at the end of it before the events of security breach, smth about them finally getting what they wanted bc that’s one of the reasons they wanted to work there in the first place. but i thought that was way too sad, despite, yknow, it being a horror and if i was in their place id definitely be dead before then. plus there are some things worse than death in the fnaf universe. so i decided to veer away from angst for this story and go for a more thriller horror (maybe psychological) type thing yknow? makes it more fun

THEN i was like yo what if ghosts kids start haunting them to help them find their killer and there’s like 1 for each pizzaplex animatronic (excluding freddy and roxy bc they got gregory and cassie). and it could be super angsty bc 2 of the kids were inadvertently killed because of moon and one was killed by moon, and my s/i is super close with moon right? so it would be like a moral dilemma, bc they want to help the kids but they still want to be friends with moon, but they’re also horrified that he killed a kid. and my s/i would start dreaming and sleepwalking, forced by the ghost kids to relive their deaths to try and find who killed them. but then i started thinking about the timeline of that, and it would mean moon would’ve had the virus or whatever years before this story takes place, which isn’t what i wanted nor did it make sense. so after a while i was just like nahhhh, and it didn’t really mesh well with the story of security breach anyways, its more sci-fi than supernatural now, and including the ghost kids would just be too much crammed into self insert story i have. the kids designs im still gonna use tho lol

NOW after getting back into fnaf after like a few months of not really caring about the lore, i’ve been watching more theory videos and book summaries and stuff like that and it made me shift my whole view on security breach’s story

so i’ve decided that i wanna stick as close to canon lore as possible and make gregory and vanessa/vanny more present and important. i want to focus more on the issues with ai, and show the slow downfall and problems with depending solely on them. i also need to figure out why my self insert has plot armor bc anyone in their situation would’ve been fired or killed by now (i don’t have to stick that close to canon for this i guess). but im just gonna justify it as they’re a pushover who doesn’t ask any questions and just does what they’re told, which is pretty much what got the other employees fired or killed bc they did the opposite (they’re also a huge nerd about robots so they end up being good friends with all the animatronics which is a HUGE plot point in this story, friendship is the real magic love conquers all etc. etc.) don’t get me wrong, they are fully aware of how wrong things are in the pizzaplex and how some things vanessa has told them don’t add up, but they are a good little employee (they are a severe people pleaser) so they feign ignorance to it all.

my self insert being autistic and having adhd is also a big thing i wanna include, bc there’s some really specific shit about their autism that would affect how they survive and stuff. things like trauma responses, masking, unmasking, meltdowns, and shutdowns that will affect their relationships with the others and will domino affect over time and lead to them surviving. idk ive just been thinking a lot lately about social interactions and experiences i have that are negatively or positively impacted specifically because of my autism. choices choices

i also want to make sure that it’s clear how neglected all the animatronics are. not just the dca since it is intended to be a s/i x sun and moon story. but there’s a lot of issues the in game messages have talked about with the animatronics that seem to happen because no one is bothering to help them. they just put a bandaid on a situation but they don’t fix the root problem yknow. also, my s/i doesn’t think the animatronics are sentient at first, and i want that to be a big thing that gets explored several times throughout the story bc i love thinking about robot sentience.

at first i was gonna have monty sort of start to be nice to my s/i, and maybe they could be friends or even have a sibling type relationship (red hair lol) but then i was like nah, monty being an asshole is what makes his character interesting. plus his behavior is a nice contrast from the rest of the band. though i think it would be funny for some characters to think monty is my s/i’s favorite at first bc their hair is dyed red

i also want sun and moon to be as close to canon as possible. while i love love LOVE pretty much every dca x reader fic i ever read, i have a preference for canon depictions of sun and moon lol. no hate to fanon depictions of sun when i say this, but ive been lost in the sauce of fanon sun for too long, and i wanna make him passive aggressive, and sarcastic, and picky, and fussy!! but still an anxious wreck and a people pleaser perfectionist. i’ll admit im still struggling with this. it was kinda hard to get a gauge on his personality at first because until help wanted 2 we had only seen how he interacts with kids. and even though in universe that isn’t the real sun it’s the only indication we have of how he interacts with adults, so im taking it. moon is still gonna be mischievous, creepy as hell, and won’t talk much, but he’s not gonna be killin anyone (yet), he’s just gonna be kind of a stalker lol. also the dca and freddy have beef for some reason, it’s a personal head canon of mine but im adding it to this story hehe

lots of physical injuries, several concussions, a migraine so bad they loose the ability to communicate properly (smth i experience) will all happen to them, bc i am throwing them through the ringer. they will be stressed more often than not. get projected on idiot (i say that as if this isn’t my self insert and is literally me)

tbh this story would mostly be just a slice of life, shenanigan, character driven thing for most of it. but then little things brought up in the past will become important to the plot later on.

like how copyright music can’t be played in front of any of the animatronics or else they will freak out :]

Thoughts on the Omori Manga

I was kind of generous with it, but overall? Mixed feelings, leaning toward negative. This is just the first chapter tho so who knows?

The Art: eh?

The scary parts are drawn well and there are some panels I quite like (the 2 below for example), but otherwise it often looks a little awkward/uncanny??

A big thing is, I think Sunny shouldve been drawn less expressive. He often looks a bit too... happy? Like its fine to draw him horrified and such when he's Going Through It, but he's drawn with those little white pupils a lot at the beginning, which make him look a lot like his younger, more carefree self

I think for the most part, he should've just been drawn like this:

It captures his vibe of Tired/Out of it/Depressed, much better

The Manga's Approach to the Story: not good for people new to Omori (imo), but has potential for an interesting retelling for previous fans

It was quite strange to start with the Real World rather than Headspace, but it could turn out interesting. It will definitely miss the impact of the game's storytelling, but they may still be able to make an enjoyable enough story out of it, yknow?

Doing it this way allows them to emphasize different things than the game. Like the battle with Aubrey, for example. It was so good in game since the player was so used to casually slicing away enemies with the knife, and the Aubrey battle served as a shocking wake up call. You can't knife people in real life like that! But I think no matter what. this couldn't have hit as hard in the manga regardless of if they did headspace first.

But what they did do in the manga was better emphasize Sunny's actual action of slicing Aubrey! Like Basil and Kel are appropriately alarmed and horrified that Sunny has just pulled a knife from nowhere and (quite badly) sliced their old friend with it.

I do, however, think they made it look way too deliberate on Sunny's part.

Like in game, it was more a mistake, while in the manga they seem to be going for Sunny being Extremely Traumatized and just lashing out, but then they portray it like this??

Like, maybe if they had Aubrey actually go after him with her nail bat while she was saying those cruel things, him drawing the knife would have looked more instinctual and a mistake. Here it just looks like he's ready to stab her in cold blood :/

The ending is sort of interesting tho. It does a fine job of showing how headspace is a sort of coping mechanism before we even see it, by having Sunny retreat there after slicing Aubrey.

Overall, I think there is potential in doing Realworld first, Headspace second, but I think it does miss out on a ton of the game's original impact and storytelling

Finally, Aubrey (tm): hot take maybe, but I lowkey like how she was portrayed?

Like, dont get me wrong, she was quite violent and it hurt seeing her legit hit basil with a nail bat, but it sort of works? in my opinion at least.

Shes been hurting for so long and she directs that hurt towards her old friends, and combined with her more aggressive personality, it doesn't seem too wildly out of character i think.

Plus, itll add some good Angst when she gets her moment with the gang and realizes how she's been acting. Like, girl, you are gonna feel sooooo bad for how you treated Basil and what u said to Sunny (character development!)

And it really helps that when she falls to the ground after getting sliced, pictures of Mari fall out of her pocket. It helps signal to the reader that Aubrey isn't just some horrible cruel person, but that there's something more at play

And the way she's collapsed almost looks like she could've collapsed out of grief, or is bowing deeply, and implies she's really hurting. Somehow they did Sunny so dirty with him standing over her with the knife, yet did so well with this Aubrey panel.

I think I just like the portrayal of someone who is very flawed in their grief without being some Big Evil Bad Guy, yknow. Like no, this is a hurting teenager lashing out and making mistakes.

just read on your meta on jean reiner marco. im sorry but u made it sound like jean has no personality or own morals if it wasnt for marco. marcos death wasnt the only thing that spur him into being good tho. he literally said he doesnt want to lose comrades after trost that includes marco and all the other comrades they lost because he didnt expect himself to care that much about them. i will argue that losing sasha has more of an impact to jean because simply, they know and work with each other longer. jean also acted on his own to lead the charge at trost without marco asking him to because jean already has leadership qualities on his own. marco didnt even respond favorably initially but funnily reiner did. marco was just one part of jeans character development. jean has so many other important moments that led him to become who he is later on. he also sees himself as a killer equivalent to the warriors because one death to jean is too many. plus dont forget he is complicit in bertolt being eaten by titan armin as well. i dont think he doesnt have the capability to not forgive reiner because if he doesn't, that will make him a big hypocrite.

Did you, though? Or were you just looking to confirm what a *certain* someone that has made downplaying Marco and what he meant to Jean an integral part of their *ship* had to say about it?

Even if that's not the case, I never said Marco is the reason Jean became good, what I actually said is that he was the first person that made Jean aware of the skills and qualities he already had at a critical moment in Jean's character arc. And bc of that, we could see the long lasting effects it had over his development. I never said that was the only important moment in his development, I was simply focusing on his relationship with Marco bc, yknow, they're my favorite characters? I even linked another Jean meta that analizes how he always has it in him to make the right, selfless decissions despite his major flaws.

You're not wrong in saying that one death to Jean is too many (that's why I said he'd be ooc if the deaths of his former comrades didn't burden him) but you're only focusing on the character's in-story intent while I was focusing on the author's intent. I'm not going to explain again why comparing Jean (& Connie) to the warriors is a false equivalence and Isayama's own writing doesn't support it; the author's intent is to force this idea to make a "war is bad" (not wrong) "both sides are equally bad" (extremely wrong) argument. This post explains why this is an erroneous idea. Not to mention that this is a fascist talking point that only helps the aggressors by sugarcoating broken, lazy morals with pacifism.

Also, I know that most fans like to pretend that the series started with the Marley arc, but that's not the case. There is a major context that separates Reiner's actions from Jean's actions. What Jean did during the clash with the yeagerists was necessitated by the alliance's haste to save whatever was left of the world. What Reiner did during the pre timeskip siege of the walls was motivated by hatred and genocide. Plain and simple. The difference is that Jean didn't have to commit unspeakable attrocities to realize his morals were broken. No, his morals were influenced by loss. Marco became an integral part of his moral compass bc once he lost him --to a fricking titan and without knowing what were his last moments, mind you, Levi too was traumatized after he's lost someone dear to him to a titan for the first time-- he better understood loss and just how much he wants to protect the lives of others. He chose to join the Scouts bc he understood what was the true meaning of all of that "dedicate your heart" fancy talking: preventing another senseless death, more excruciating pain, and giving hope where there is only despair.

There's also a big context when it comes to what happened before Bert's death, isn't there? You're oversimplifying two completely different situations to make a false equivalence. Personally, I hate oversimplifying things. Jean wouldn't be a hypocrite for being unable to forgive Reiner, he'd be more than justified. And who said Reiner should get over what happened to Bert? Ah right, I forgot that in the lore of a *certain* ship Reibert also gets downplayed.

I'm also having a very hard time understanding how does highlighting Jean's relationship with Marco translates as me saying that Jean didn't have any other meaningful relationships with other characters?

JSC is literally my favorite trio, and I hate the fact that the story didn't give us more insight on how much Sasha's death affected Jean and Connie. We see how much it ravaged the two of them after it happened (Connie's "soulmate" line still gets me) and after they saw her in the smoke, but we don't see any moment similar to Jean's monologue after Pieck got him out of Shiganshina (which was an obvious reference to the pyre scene), or when he saw Marco after Hange tried to convince him to join the alliance (and don't ignore the symbolism of only seeing Marco out of all the comrades he's lost along the way, which also includes Sasha). Her death must've been a major reason as to why Jean and Connie joined the alliance, but the story doesn't even imply it bc Isayama focused more on how much her death affected Eren and other characters instead (when he could and should've done both).

Don't get me wrong tho, I'm not trying to invalidate your opinion, I just don't really see the point in turning whose death had more of an impact on Jean into a competition. And I disagree with saying that more time spent with someone makes them more important (same with the idea that more screen time = a better character). Both Marco and Sasha were Jean's cherished friends, and I'd argue that losing them both affected him in different ways. The story, however, emphasizes more on how losing Marco affected him. Which is why I said Marco is Jean's most significant person and loss, bc Isayama wants us to remember that just as much as he wants us to remember his complicated friendship with Eren, as an example of another of his important relationships.

yknow ive been thinking again lately about how i would like to see more realism in batman content, both canon and fandom, but not the Dark And Gritty kind. the kind thats like.

yes actually he is highly emotionally intelligent and does understand himself quite well and has just accepted that he is A Freak and decided to roll with it rather than being so horrifically emotionally repressed that he can barely even acknowledge that what hes doing is based in trauma. hes been in therapy since he was like 9 years old. he studies human psychology extensively both for himself and so he has better odds of predicting whats gonna go wrong and how when hes up against a rogue or negotiating a hostage situation or whatever. he meditates for two hours a day and is fully capable of keeping a healthy handle on his anger 98% of the time. he's nice to people and fun to be around and sincerely caring. if he were just Always Right but super isolated and reactive and cruel and controlling everyone would fucking hate him and no it wouldnt be enough to sustain his crimefighting activities, thats a stupid lone wolf fuckboy fantasy

he has a strict 9pm bedtime that he only breaks for mandatory WE/brucie activities or emergencies. if theres a gala where he needs to rub shoulders with ppl to gather intel or keep his company running he'll do it but hes Not Happy about being out until midnight and cuts out early as often as possible, and when hes chasing the joker around until 3am hes lamenting his poor sweet circadian rhythm that did nothing wrong ever in its life the whole time. when hes batmanning hes expending a fuckton of energy and he needs to make it up and have a well-established routine to counteract the punishment hes putting his body through. on a similar note, this man is building braces and compression into his suit and doing extensive physical therapy exercises every day of his life bc he wants to have helpful little things like "knees" and "shoulders" by the time hes 40, and hes probably eating a small farms worth of assorted leafy greens and several chickens per day

he is simply Never drunk and he doesnt actually have that much sex. hes really really good at faking a) being drunk and b) getting a high priority phone call from lucius the minute someone hes making out with starts trying to get his shirt off. he also does a lot of "hey look i gotta get out of here with my reputation intact, can we help each other out and pretend we're gonna go fuck?" kind of negotiating with ppl (see: his 9pm bedtime, plus sometimes hes gotta slip away from an event to be sneaky), which is how a lot of the more wild stories about him start circulating lol. this is a man who's regularly getting gassed/injected/etc with highly experimental substances created by maniacs trying to torment or kill him, he does NOT want substances like drugs or alcohol in his body that could potentially interact with them, and the last thing he needs is to be dealing with a pregnancy or sti scare. plus if he can play it safe with someone and have them think of him as a nice and trustworthy dude who just has a bonkers reputation, all the better for his batman activities!

idk i just feel like theres unexplored potential in a lot of that stuff bc so much of recent batman mythos is like HES SO HARDCORE AND CAN DO ANYTHING AND HES ALWAYS RIGHT CAUSE HES SO PARANOID AND DISRESPECTFUL OF PPL AND THEIR BOUNDARIES BUT ITS OKAY BC ITS IN THE NAME OF BEING RIGHT and im like. okay. gotta admit that i dont rly find that believable or in line with my values. can we talk about WE's sweet sweet employee benefits package and bruce designing his suit to take most of the impact off his knees when he jumps off a roof. members of the jl discovering that he gives shockingly balanced and insightful advice about their mundane personal problems. bruce printing his own batsymbol envelopes to leave people cash after he misaims his grappling hook and breaks their window. things of that nature.

Finishing my rewatch of the Owl House (and crying all over again because I just love Hunter, my sad awkward boy who just wants to be a kid for once, and he finds friends who accept him—plus he and Willow AAAAA; not to mention the bi-rep with Luz and her relationship with Amity, and then the Collector and King—OH AND FLAPJACK AAAAUGH). 31. What is their goal in life? What impact would they like to leave when they’re gone?

Survive the situation <3 Sun knows that he's meant to be Papa's heir and his goal should be to lead the Khans to triumph but as far as he's concerned his dad has a handle on that and he is going to stay in the background thank you very much. He just wants to get through the day with as few deaths and threats of war as humanly possible in Westside and without anybody asking him if he knows where Papa Khan's son is. Actually no that last bit is fine because he'll just point them in a random direction but yknow what I mean

37. What is the worst injury they have experienced?

Most certainly getting his finger shot off by a sniper. Getting shot hurt, running home with exposed bone hurt, the Khans trying to perform first aid on him hurt, and the Followers performing surgery on it later hurt, the healing process hurt, moving his other fingers hurt, and even the finger that wasn't there anymore hurt. It bothered him for a long time after it happened and even 10 years later he gets phantom pains, especially at night. It's also the worst injury for him emotionally because he was 20 years old and his overconfident "nothing can hurt me" attitude was shattered in an instant and it all changed the trajectory of his life. Plus he feels responsible for the most disastrous war the Khans ever got into against Mr House because he thinks Papa wouldn't have started it if his son hadn't been shot. He's fine tho <3

15. What is their proudest moment / accomplishment?

Honestly his work in Westside he is quietly pretty proud of. In my canon Sun established the trade deals between the Khans and the Fiends and Westside. While he likes some of the Fiends he definitely doesn't like dealing with their leadership and sometimes thinks maybe the deal he got with them was a bad idea. However with Westside he's very happy to be part of their community, he feels like he's actually making a difference and feels valued. Not that he isn't in the Khans but its just different coming from people who are strangers.

24. Do they have a romantic partner or partners?

Dusty's ex is Red Jaxson and I've kinda passed him around a lil with regards to who I want to pair him up with. I did pair him with Jessup for a while but now I've made Red and Jessup related to each other (Red is Jessup's great great grandfather) it kinda feels weird to me now. I think Dusty and Sun could have some funny chemistry (both charismatic, Dusty can't die and Sun hates death, Dusty also hunted Sun for a little while) but at current time he's probably having some flings but not actually committed to one specific person <3

Yknow, I do think some of the criticisms about modern vampire media I've seen going around lately are valid in their analysis, but also they simultaneously annoy me, yknow what I mean?

Because yeah sure taking the classic weaknesses out of a vampire can really lessen the impact of what they are and make them overpowered and imbalanced. Yes they were often a metaphor for the upper class and their lifestyles and exploitation. These are valid and fair points! And should be considered!

But so many of these posts are solely looking at the Bram Stoker interpretation of a vampire, and having that be The Only Thing That's Actually A Vampire, and I find that. Kind of irritating and slightly condescending sometimes.

There are all kinds of stories of vampires or blood-drinking monsters from around the world that vary wildly in appearance, abilities and weaknesses. This isn't really a new thing, nobody was ever able to agree on a Set of All Encompassing Rules, some stuff was more common than other rules but not necessarily universal, you get the idea

Plus, like, vampires (and other monsters too!) have been used for a MYRIAD of metaphors, so just the one isn't like, a catch all.

Thirdly and finally idk man I think it has the same vibe as those art videos that are like "Things artists draw WRONG ALL THE TIME! FIXING ART" or "How to Not Make A Mary Sue"

you don’t have to answer (i know how the pressure is w writing believe me) but ode to the mulberry tree is my fav fanfic of all time ever, and i was wondering if u were just taking or break or if u are abandoning it? i hate to pressure authors bc it feels so terrible but i just wanted to check in because ur brain is amazing and i loveeee to see into it. it’s literally an amazing work and i want to say how much it’s impacted this last year.

like genuinely i mean it. i salivate over that thing i think i’ve read it like 8 times now. ofc no pressure and i treasure what we have, but i figured it probably couldn’t hurt to ask. (if u need inspiration think of my virtual beautiful face shining w hopefulness & voracious need for more always :P but ofc in a very patent non-problematic understanding way)

ahjgjsldfglk it's an honor to know my writing had an effect on someone! at the moment pretty much everything is on hiatus since I've been doing a lot of school-related writing and can't bring myself to spend my free time writing as well. so my motivation has just been thru the floor recently (opposite of thru the roof).

I'm still absolutely determined to finish ode to the mulberry tree in particular because I NEED to put that ending into the world. there's one chapter of ode already completed but I'm holding off on posting again until I think I can keep up a steady flow, plus I'm doing some plot reconfiguring cuz I made a decision in a previous chapter for the sake of drama that I now realize means I have to switch up a few events. I should hopefully have more free time for writing after january but at the moment it's like dragging a toddler kicking and screaming out of daycare except the toddler is my brain and the daycare is uhhh not writing I guess

It does actually motivate me to imagine your shining beautiful voracious face lmao. but seriously just knowing that its important to you makes writing feel less pointless. if you are who I think you are, every time you leave those lovely indepth comments full of so much care I feel like a boost of motivation yknow

👀👀 i don’t know if you’ve said enough previously for me to be able to ask a specific question, so please talk about your original projects!!

OMG HIIII

yeah honestly I haven't chatted about it much (on a previous blog I think I did but. That's lost to the void) because I literally had no idea how to chat about it without annoying people but also my creations deserve to take up space, just like every other beginning creative, yknow??

I guess since there's not much to go off I'll give a vague overview!!! A lot of names are also being rewritten at the moment so they may change in future posts lol. My actual response is below the cut!!

We have a world!! Current name is Streidal*, inhabited by your fantasy usuals, your humans and like 6 diverse races of elves plus their shunned siblings, the Iilae (catfolk), the Amrat (lizardfolk and dragonborn adjacent) and Evira (bird folk and harpies). Something something the elven mother Goddess is not happy at the erased history of the groups named above but the internal politics of the various -kyyn/elves mean that this oppression and erasure continues to fester until it results in war. And of course, humans are trying to get involved and/or profit from it!!

The humans, of course have their own ongoing issues where the push for technological advancement has resulted in a group (currently unnamed) that are hoarding information and also people!! Unfortunately these people are being experimented on, helping to create realistic automaton spies. All about how the hoarding of knowledge to further technology can negatively impact society as people loose themselves or something along these lines!!

I also have two different casts for each of these interwoven plotlines, including a runaway givokyyn (wood elf) princess turned criminal overlord, possessed assassin and the physical manifestation of all his problems, a blind child who may or may not be connected to the Godess Kyyn herself and more!

The other is literally my fistful of Pirate101 ocs but I stripped them from the Spiral and made their lives worse, captains, pirate lords and a dysfunctional council consisting of Lenora-Jane Yearling, Zhuri Amin, Carter Reed, Nimble Flint Silved and Ulysses Castillo, alongside "sidekicks" like Oran Albescu and Fiorenzo Adathan!! They've all got their own things going on that impact how they interact with eachother, help eachother or actively make eachother worse to reach their own personal and collective goals. Currently the stories seem to be running parallel to eachother but that can always change. I'm also building a world building bible right now complete with maps, so I might share some more in the future!! Hopefully by talking about it here it can keep me motivated to chip away at planning and writing, plus potentially share some cut scenes or something. I'm always open to more asks about this OR my other wiz/pirate/tes ocs too i am a bit of a chatterbox lol. Thanks so so much for the ask!!! <3 <3<3

hi hello how do you think jedidiah would interact with the university of what it is… the thoughts been rotating around my brain for a bit but i dont have the best grasp on his character . my main thought is that itd be complicated feelings until they tried to “explain” sydney

EEK I LOVE THIS QUESTION DOES A LITTLE DANCE my main thought is that it depends on which jedidiah we're talking about . i think jedidiah, pre-reanimation, would absolutely be for the university of what it is and would probably work for them if he could . he likes when things make sense!! he likes to be in control!! plus he tends to think of things in terms of the mechanical and the precise - in his journals he can only work with more mystical aspects of his ritual by considering them as lines of code or comparing sydney himself to the workings of a machine. he would totally be for something that makes things make Sense and i think post-reanimation he would still feel that way possibly even moreso as his desire for control of his situation has ramped up heavily but the main thing to consider is the fact that most of the weirdness of chnt seeeems to be implied to be Because of what jedidiah did to reanimate sydney. so even if uowii were to explain away say, the color of the sky, theres the slightest of chances that would end up having repercussions onto sydneys safety and the success of jedidiahs rituals and experimentsand i think jedidiah would be so paranoid about that very small possibility that he would absolutely hate them and be terrified of that happening and try to get them to leave INSTANTLY . i do think i could see him trying to learn how to do explanations on his own time to be able to manage things like i could see him wanting to explain away elijah thats a very jedidiah thing to do i think hed try and work out explanations by himself so that he could do it Separate from the university bc hes doing it "right" and theyre being dangerous and bad abt it in his yees yknow . but i think the actual members of the university themselves he would view as a threat to sydney bc a: they could explain away sydney like you said, b: they could explain away things that are Related to sydney which could end up impacting him, and c: their hunger for knowledge would mean that his journals might be at risk and they might want to know what happened which would be very bad . basically i think ideologically him and the uowii are very much aligned and i think he would find the explanation stuff incredibly tempting but he would also view them as a huge threat and as such would be trying to get them out of there as quickly as possible
