I feel like I would never trust Lysandre with a kid for obvious reasons, but at the same time, would probably rank his anime self as "ok" at it given that he seems to treat Mairin pretty well while Alain is out on assignment for him. (Plus, he apparently did plan to let her live since he sent a Grunt to retrieve her. Definitely a blurry line between legitimately appreciating Alain's help enough to accept her as a chosen one, and a useful tool for keeping Alain in line tho.)

Volo constantly ditches work and while I don't think he'd harm a child unless that child has a connection to Arceus (not counting the world erasure thing), I'd fully expect him to dump that kid off on Ginter or Cogita.

It seems from various other media, kids tend to like Cyrus going by Hareta, Dia, and Sophocles. He's not great at it, but he did talk to Sophocles for what's implied to be hours in Masters over their shared interest in machines and technology. I think if he was looking after kids with similar technological interests, he could be pretty decent at it. (He could also fix or walk you thru fixing game systems.)

There's likely been at least one instance where Leon shoved a probably-too-young-to-really-remember Hop off on Rose for a short while while he needed to go do something right quick. He's also probably one of the safest villains to leave your kid with since he's got benevolent intentions, just a lack of patience. I also feel Archer would probably have babysat for Silver as a kid.

Penny just puts on some anime or plays video games with kids, and Piers has plenty of experience from babysitting Marnie when she was young. Archie is also shown to be pretty good with and protective of kids in Masters. Easily the top three.

Hey guys I got that Delta emulator 2 weeks ago and was like "Yeah! I know this has the potential to be dentrimental to my brain chemistry but I think I should give pokemon a go!"

In summary: uh oh.

I dropped 25 hours on blue, promising myself I would 100% firered once I got there (as much as you can 100% emulators). I dropped 25 hours on crystal, promising I would 100% soulsilver. I currently have 10 hours on emerald. I. Am. In. Trouble.

My fingers tremble looking at the 3ds games I have no access to. I have asked my friends if I could borrow theres. None of them will let me so I am resorting to buying one. I am looking at what I know are maybe some of the worst pokemon games simply because I NEED them. I KNOW scarlet violet and sword shield suck. But I don't care. I have fixated on the grindy aspect and silly creatures of these games. I'm usually a story person. I don't care about the pokemon story at all. I play those games and I am a wild tween being set upon the world again to fuck shit up and catch them all. I AM THE STORY.

My older brothers were pokemon fanatics. They had binders full of cards and had nearly every game that came out since their birth (they were late 1900s/early 2000s kids and im a mid 2000s). But because they were fanatics, they did not want their grubby younger sister ruining their save files- Our younger brother has ruined a few gamecube and wii discs and I DEFINITELY accidentally overrode a wind waker file when I was little. so I was never allowed to touch the games.

Now, I am faced by pokemon conquest, pokemon rangers, pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of darkness, pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky, pokemon diamond, pokemon platinum, pokemon soulsilver, pokemon black, pokemon white 2, pokemon x, and pokemon sun. I grew up gatekept from what pokefans usually refer to as the best pokemon games (the ds ones), and I am sour that this is hitting me right now!

I CAN'T be doing this! I have a AP Chemistry exam tomorrow and the only bonds I'm focused on is if my pokemon love me! I don't even know who Chatelier is! I'm fucked!

Future Pokemon Professors

Prof. Akari Shou-Vanderbilt: The youngest of the group, she has been focusing her researche energy impact of pokemon during battle and their long-term effects (pokeballs, mega-evolution, z-ring/ultra energy, dynamax/gigantamax, terrastal, etc.) Her main goal is to try and ensure both the pokemon and their trainers are at minimal risk when executing their "gimmicks". She is currently working with Prof. Hadimani on this.

Prof. Hop Hadimani: After interning under both Prof. Sonia Magnolia, Prof. Kukui, and Prof. Sycamore, Prof. Hadimani has dedicated his research to pokemon battles and strength, specifically how to help pokemon reach their full potential. He is currently working on this with Prof. Shou-Vanderbilt.

Prof. Bianca Aspen: Knowledgeable on a variety of fields of Pokemon research- partially due to her inability to decide on a single path to research- Prof. Aspen is a sort of "jack of all trades" amongst the latest batch of Prof. She holds the most internships under her belt, having interned under several notable Professors, from Juniper to Rowan to even Oaks.

Prof. Kouki "Lucas" Sakura: One of the latest of Professor Rowan's assistants to finish his schooling, Prof. Sakura researches pokemon biology and evolution (not so much the leveling up kind so much as the Darwin kind). His latest studies have been trying to replicate the environment required to evolve Goomy into a Hisuian Goodra. (he was only recently made aware that several Hisiuan Variants have been confirmed to still around and are, oddly enough, in Unova of all places)

Pokemon Mainline Game Plot Summaries, Written from 3 am to 4:30 am:

Cutting off for Scarlet Violet spoilers and the whole thing got rather long.

Considering the plots I can only imagine what insanity they'll spit out next.

Kid fights the Yakuza who are trying to capture a newly born god.

Guess what, yakuza didn't die out. Kid 2 fights a foreign invasion of yakuza creepin in on his/her country and then goes to beat up the other country for not doing a good job.

Two different groups of enviromental terrorists plan to mess up the country (if not the planet) by drying out or rising the water levels. Also there's a meteor hurdling towards the planet so good luck with that.

Hypocritical Jerk says "emotions and free will are dumb we should all be the same (read: just like me)" so he finds a way to torture minor gods to create chains to bind the gods of creation to his will. His attempts piss off Literal Pokemon Lucifer.

Pokemon PETA with their figurehead Green-haired Player Character Wannabee Rival are here to say that Pokemon should be free and are willing to go Deus Vult on you over it. Turns out they mean your Pokemon should be free because the higher ups want to be the only people with Pokemon.

Sequel series has Pokemon PETA branch off into two opposing groups. The Bigger Jerk Side plan to resurrect the dead god-dragon by fusing the living fragments from the previous game to its corpse.

Local Flashy Idiot decides to murder the planet because he hates how everyone else looks unfabulous. This will be achieved with an ancient kill-sat tower that killed the region before because an ancient king had it made to resurrect his dead beloved Pokemon.

Global enviromental betterment organization is helping out NotHawaii. A bunch of random thugs are messing things up. Turns out the leader of the later is salty about not being able to be a gym leader while the leader of the good guy side is psychotic and tried to make her children into perfect hosts for extradimensional pokemon and merges herself with a giant murder jellyfish.

See 8 but now postgame includes fighting every other boss from the previous games from realities where they won and have gone on a Supervillain Dimensional Invasion scheme.

Ancient kings murdered an eldritch spacemonster. Its blood has leaked through the ground and creates hellspots where Pokemon turn into warped versions of themselves. There's a prophecy/calculations that the thing will wake up some day and a CEO who's trying to help the region wants to murder it harder but early so it can't cause trouble… and to save the energy crisis I guess. The Evil Team are actually a bunch of rowdy groupies. Also the princes have stupid hair and made things worse because they wanted glory.

Isekai into Meiji Era Island Nation where the local organization is sending people out into genuine terrifying life-threatening danger to study Pokemon and grok whats in each area even though the locals can explain stuff. Also there's this thing with what apparently is Pokemon God's blessing being showered down on the pokemon revered as living gods by the locals. Turns out some Absolute Idiot decided to break time aND IT turns out to be Plot 4 but its someone who may be the last survivor of a doomed civilization who either wants to murder or wants to Be Pokemon God and has made a pact with Lucifer to ruin God's day.

Traditional school easter egg hunt goes off the chains because the local Professors apparently broke time. There's three paths you can take for the plot at your leisure before stopping the time break: gym fight, perfect sandwich resource gathOH GOD THE BOSS FIGHTS, and anti-bully bullies whose teachers quit to get away from the nonsense.

I’m imagining Leon and Raihan and Ingo and Emmet interacting, and they’d vibrate in excitement because Strong Trainer!

Also, I’m fully of the belief that Leon would be inspired by Ingo’s Path of Solitude. And with the freedom to change his roster and his team’s moves as the Battle Tower Owner?

His set-up would be similarly devious.

I’m a bit laughing because Raihan, Ingo, and Emmet’s AI in multi battles prioritize downing opponent’s pokemon with Earthquake, even if it catches their partner in the crossfire. 

Emmet: Ah, I see you’re a man of class!

Raihan: Same to you!

And those are only two potential interactions between the four of them!
