y'all are too crazy about pleather lol. The vast majority of plastic waste comes from food items we all buy every day (thanks, Pepsi/Coca Cola). No one is committing some kind of grave sin for not buying leather. leather has a ton of environmental issues as well, including destroying the ecosystems and communities from where it's processed (human and animal alike). It should be ordered thusly: USED leather/pleather/denim jacket > any new jacket. More emphasis needs to be put on USED more than what it is made out of Or even better: jacket you already own > buying a used jacket > buying any new jacket. The world does not need a single new leather/denim/pleather jacket, cuz in all likelihood they both end up in a landfill in two years anyway.

(I mean environmentally speaking, a denim jacket probably beats all of them, as they're usually just made of cotton)
