Methods Used By Pool Painters in Perth to Remove Pool Stains
Swimming pools are used the most in the summer and spring seasons, and after some years of usage, their condition begins to deteriorate, and it starts wearing down. The worst affected is the external looks or the paint that suffers from several issues, including stains. The first task of pool painters in Perth is to remove these stains, and they use a particular process that we will discuss here in this post.
Tumblr media
How To Remove Pool Stains?
Swimming pools suffer from two types of stains: organic and inorganic stains caused by metals like iron, copper and others. Organic stains result from leaves, algae and other natural materials on the surface. Differentiating between these stains is very easy for pool painters in Perth. You can also do this by pouring some granular chlorine on these stains and leaving it for a few minutes. If they fade or disappear, it means these stains are organic.

Experts of pool painting services use a method to prevent these organic stains from returning. The steps of this method are listed below.
•          Use a robotic cleaner to remove leaves.
•          Scrub your surface regularly.
•          Trim back any nearby trees or bushes.
•          Oxidise your pool water to break down organic matter.
•          Use a pool cover to prevent leaves and debris from falling.
Removing Inorganic Stains
Pool painters in Perth say that inorganic stains are generated from the metals in the water, such as iron, copper, etc. Iron stains are rare, but copper stains are frequent due to the overuse of copper-based algae-killing agents and low-quality chemicals such as ionisers and sanitisers. These stains are easy to remove by rubbing dry acid on them.

How To Prevent Inorganic Stains From Coming Back?
•          Using metal sequestrant regularly is a good idea as it prevents metals from depositing and forming stains.
•          Regular testing of pool water also helps in stopping inorganic stains.
•          The pH level and total alkalinity should be within the recommended range.
•          If possible, avoid using copper-based algae-killing agents and other products that can add copper to the pool water.
•          Purchase only high-quality pool chemicals.
•          Water softeners and filtration systems can be very helpful in removing metals from the pool.

In general I have not been engaging with this show in a fandom way but I gotta say Molly Cobb is absolutely my blorbo. My skrunkly problematic fave. Rotating her in my mind etc. one of my favourite ‘asshole’ characters of all time. I’m so glad they didn’t have her die of space cancer or in a fiery test vehicle crash and instead she got to round out a good decade of flying very large vehicles very fast by stalking around NASA with her fuckin. Seeing eye wolfhound and spending time in her brass tub with her weird husband (who I also love.) good for her.

The Mirror of Venus
Artist: Edward Burne-Jones  (English, 1833–1898)
Genre: Mythological Art
Date: 1898-1875
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Collection: Calouste Gulbenkian Museum
A member of the pre-Raphaelite movement that was formed in England in 1848, Sir Edward Burne-Jones became one of the leading figures in a new trend, known as Aestheticism, that emerged in the 1860s. This composition can be seen as an exaltation of ideal beauty, bringing the atmosphere of the painting into alignment with a perspective shared by late Victorian art.
The painter employs minimum of narrative elements, creating a linear arrangement of poetic and oneiric figures clad in pseudo-classical clothing in the manner of a Greek-inspired frieze. Rather than aiming for a formal stylistic resemblance, Burne-Jones seeks to create a general affinity with a Renaissance atmosphere. In a manner clearly suggestive of the Quattrocento, and Botticelli in particular, the work gives precedence to the decorative harmony of the whole and deliberately evokes a sense of nostalgia for the past.
Like The Bath of Venus, which also belongs to the Gulbenkian Collection, the composition derives from an illustration intended for The Hill of Venus, part of William Morris’s poem The Earthly Paradise, which was inspired by the medieval legend of Tannhäuser.

Holly Allegory
Artist: Giovanni Bellini (Italian, 1438/40-1516)
Date: circa 1490-1500
Medium: OIl on Wood Panel
Collection: Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence
One of the most enigmatic and fascinating works of the Italian Renaissance, this painting by Bellini shows the Madonna seated on a throne on the left, and a group of saints and cherubs above a great terrace alongside a reflective pool of water in front of a rocky landscape. The saints include Saint John behind the balustrade and Saint Paul with the sword of martyrdom, while the two semi-nude saints on the right are the hermit Onuphrius, characterized by his uncouth appearance and tanned skin, and the martyr Saint Sebastian. The child seated on a cushion in the center of the painting is possibly Jesus, also represented by the cross erected in the background on the right, to whom the angels offer fruits from the tree of life and knowledge.
The poetic landscape in the background is studded with buildings, animals and saints such as Anthony the Great, depicted descending the stairs to meet the centaur who will lead him through the Thebaid desert to the Monastery of Saint Paul. No element is unintentional and each aspect of the composition helps to provide a harmonious explanation of a complex thought that remains a mystery to the observer. However, the magic of this work by Giovanni Bellini remains and the extremely realistic landscape becomes a central part, introducing the genre of landscape painting which would reach its peak in Venice in the following century.
