Chapter 7 of My Poppy Playtime Longfic is Up!

Grayson had awoken to Theodore nuzzling him. The Theodore he knew, the purple one who looked more like a plush toy than a skeletal monster.

“Gray…Gray, you’re awake,” Theodore said, purring as he pressed himself harder against Grayson’s frame.

Grayson blinked a few times, trying to focus on his surroundings. He was lying on his back, his head resting on a soft, plush pillow. He was still in the lab, in the hospital bed he had been in earlier. Theodore was beside him, his chin resting on Grayson's shoulder. The room was quiet, peaceful. The only sound was the gentle hum of the computer fans and other machinery.

"Theo!" Grayson grinned, his heart feeling much lighter than it had before. "You're back to normal." He ran his hands over Theodore's shoulders, leaning in to hug him tightly.

Theodore purred contentedly, nuzzling deeper into Grayson's embrace. "Everything is okay," Theodore said. "It wasn't real. You were hallucinating. It's...a byproduct of the red smoke."

Grayson frowned, recalling what he had seen. What he had felt.

"But...I thought you were...dying or something. I saw you..." He trailed off, shaking his head. "It was so real."

Theodore nuzzled against Grayson's neck, his warm breath sending shivers down his spine. "I know it felt real, but it wasn't. ...It was just a side effect of the smoke. I'm fine, I promise. ...I always was."

"I'm sorry we had to put you through that, Grayson," a voice echoed through the room. Grayson looked up, to see the Prototype approaching them. "If it makes you feel any better, you passed my little test."

Grayson looked up at him, into those glowing red eyes, still uncertain about what had just happened. "What do you mean?"

"Every single person who has had hallucinations due to the red smoke see Theo as the same thing. It's described well in logs where the orphans were interviewed after intaking too much. Some of the staff, too. A massive, gray monster. They're always terrified. Even the ones who were fond of CatNap," The Prototype explained. "But you saw through it. You saw that it was Theo, regardless. You didn't run or hide. You saw someone you cared for in need, and you went to him. You didn't let the smoke or your fear change you."

Grayson's eyes widened. "So...you're saying that I passed the test...because I didn't abandon him?"

"Precisely," The Prototype said, nodding. "Most people would have seen Theo as a monster and been terrified. You saw past that. You saw your friend. That kind of clarity is rare, Grayson. It's...special. And that's why you passed."

This is my oc Rory!

And A few crumbs of info for ‘em lol:

- Rory knew Mattew and Kevin before they got experimented on, and they were friends with them, expecially with Kevin

- They didn’t arrive at the safe heaven right away, they arrived when was already in charge of it and had been for a while. It took the both of them a while to actually recognize each other.

-They do their best to help out Doey at the safe heaven as much as they possibly can

- They tend to joke a lot, to brighten the mood mostly tho they’re no stranger to spit out a joke in a serious situation sometimes. They also tend to talk everyone’s ear off, its rare seeing them silent

I will add some more info when i perfection their backstory a bit lmao

I have some more evidence that Doctor might actually not be dead and that he more than likely will come back

I completely forgot about these really important aspects to Doctor's character and his story. This is something that can be used as evidence cause this is official stuff and it's something that gives more weight to my speculations in "Is Doctor alive?" theory.

1) Doctor knows about the letter that player received at the beginning of chapter 1 - he's the only character that mentions and aknowledges the letter which shows us that he knows things that other characters don't know about. This hints to him having more going on with him and his importance in the story.

2) Doctor was a narrator in "Story so far" - this and chapter 4 ARG is what hyped Doctor's character for fans cause this makes him feel like more important character. And this combined with 1) point shows us that Doctor sees everything. He even knew that Prototype is Ollie (we can conclude that from his tone when he said "the infuriating ally" part).

3) Doctor's character description on poppyplaytime website (so it's official) - "Doctor Harley Sawyer, commonly referred to as “The Doctor”, was the originator of the Bigger Bodies Initiative, and a former pupil of Elliot Ludwig. Ruthless, egotistical, and completely amoral, he orchestrated the systemic experimentation of hundreds to pave his elusive “golden path”, only to be subjected to the same experimentation. His mind made into a prison of wires and terminals, his project stolen from him, he’d become just as much a prisoner as the experiments he created. In the years since the Hour of Joy, the Doctor has become a monster unburdened by any pretense of humanity, the final steps on his “golden path” seemingly within his reach." - the last sentence is what's important. Doctor isn't confined anymore by whatever human limitations he had and that he's really close to achieveing golden path which is immortality.

4) Doctor's speech in ad for Project Playtime (I completely forgot about a very important detail of his speech) - "Mortality is the curse of the weak, the fire that incinerates the flesh. I strive to snuff that flame. Call me a monster, but I am simply a man who escaped incineration, and embraced the infinite!" - this is really huge and important cause only now after chapter 4 it makes total sense. Now we know what exactly Doctor meant by a man who escaped the incineration (he escaped death as he was transformed into experiment) and embraced infinite (he embraced the infinite nature of having digital mind). I didn't realize at first that Doctor said this as something that already happened (he used past tense) because we all assumed back then that he died during the Hour of Joy. This speech being this old because it exists even before chapter 3 makes it even more important as a clue and evidence of Doctor survivng his death in chapter 4 as digital entity.

5) The untitled poem being about The Doctor - people wrongly assumed it's about Huggy Wuggy because of felted feet. When we shouldn't take it literally because it's poem. Poems most of the time use figurative language not literal. And it's important to remember that first this poem showed in ARG for chapter 4 which was heavily focused on Doctor not Huggy Wuggy or any other character. And then we saw this same poem after we killed Doctor when we went back to Safe Haven. The poem:

"On felted feet and with bated breath

Sleep draws ever near

Over paths turning clear

But I am not afraid of death

For we have already met"

This means non other than a person in poem quietly awaits the inevitable death but they're not afraid cause they survived death once already.

Considering that Doctor wanted to achieve immortality and was really close and he embraced infinite - probably learned how to live and function as digital form - the poem being about him makes the most sense also because his body died during experimentation. He could no longer live as human. Only some of his organs remained. And the poem is written in his style of speaking.

Now I'll give you my speculation based on my theory and what I presented here.

Remember the tape "Time" from chapter 4? The one with Doctor and Prototype talking? From this tape we know that Prototype needed Doctor to learn about secret hidden within him. The secret to immortality.

This combined with what happened later - Prototype being happy as Ollie that we killed Doctor - points to the fact that Prototype threatened Doctor that he'll get rid of him if he'll be stalling. The funny thing that I realized is that Doctor had here huge advantage over Prototype which Prototype didn't seem to notice.

Doctor has knowledge that even Prototype doesn't have. This heavily implies that Prototype wouldn't know if Doctor lies to him or tells him the truth. Doctor could sold him a lie and Prototype wouldn't even know that and after Doctor stopped being useful Prototype got rid of him with our help.

Doctor didn't seem afraid of Prototype even if Prototype's voice was threatening and leaving no room for objection. And yet Doctor ignores it and even demands Prototype to find more time. Prototype agreed because he doesn't have a choice here. Which definitely shows that Doctor had advantage in this situation.

And let me tell you more. I think that Doctor found what's that secret but he didn't share it with Prototype. He didn't have to share it with Prototype. He could use it to help himself "escape the incineration" and achieveing "golden path". "Sleep draws ever near Over paths turning clear" the death is coming for him but his goal is clear. He knows what to do. He isn't afraid of death anymore. He knows the secret to "infinite" eternal life as digital entity. And Prototype being impatient with Doctor stalling could decide to get rid of him without finding out what the secret is.

And also maybe Doctor really wanted someone to come to factory to power up the place cause more power would definitely help him achieve whatever he wanted as digital entity. He could avoid death as he could scatter/disperse into still working parts of facility's network/system.

He was observing us from the beginning so he could easily guide as where he wanted and use us to help him with his plans.

If this doesn't convince you I don't know what will. But I'm sure (almost 100%) that Doctor isn't dead and he'll come back.

And what's important is that I think that he has his own storyline apart from what's going on with Prototype and Poppy. Poppy Playtime can be more complex story with more than one plotline. Having more plotlines makes a story more complex and layered.

We can clearly see that Doctor's goals aren't focusing on whatever is going with Prototype and Poppy and it goes beyond the factory. He wants to achieve immortality and ascend beyond humanity's limitations. And from what I gathered here we can conclude that he was able to do that.

Spoilers Thoughts on Dr. Harley Sawyer!

PoppyPlaytime Chapter 4 Spoilers!

We got to learn more about the Doctor and his cruel intentions on his experiments. He view them as nothing more as projects, it didn't matter if they were children. Typically Mad scientist vides.

But what I find very fascinating was the tape of Dr. Sawyer woke up and became just a brain or body parts scattered around the prison.

This is very important part, because we got to see the doctor vulnerable side.

In this moment, he stated "Oh no, they didn't. Backstabbing traitors." He refers to Leith Pierre and the others.

But this is where I find it so interesting is when Dr. White spoke, "Dr. Sawyer. Can you hear me?"

Dr. Sawyer was in complete shock, his voice cracks from disbelief that Dr. White betrayed him. It sounds like he didn't expect him to betray him like that.

I wonder what relationship these two have. Not implying romantic relations ( I mean it would be cool to see a Gay mad scientist, but I highly doubt it) But they work together. And by the sound of Dr. Sawyer feeling so betrayed by Dr. White more than the fact he expected to be betrayed by anyone else. I wonder what was their relationship, how much did Dr. Sawyer share with Dr. White? Were they close friends?

Because from the beginning Dr. Sawyer already gave cruel, evil scientist. Even lying, and manipulating the children for the sake of the projects.

I wonder how Dr. White gotten close to Dr. Sawyer? Or how Dr. Sawyer allow this trust be built?

Because Dr. Sawyer sounds like a massive A-HOLE. It was either his way or no way.

On the tape about 1322 B (I believed), the tape about Kevin. The scientist talks about how he's worried about picking this child to be Doey. The fact that Doey is 900 pounds of dough, and at any moment Kevin would lash out. Yet, despite the warning, Dr. Sawyer did not give two shits about this. He thought it was perfect! How was that perfect? In the end, they all follow what he said.

I wonder what happened to Dr. White, if he turned into a toy as well or was murdered in the hour of joy? Hmm.

Been getting into Fallout recently so I came up with this silly AU

The experiment about Vault 74 is they put humans into puppets to create living ones and had them live in a neighborhood (very similar to OGs neighborhood) with Home as the Overseer

Also none of the puppets remember that they were once humans only having vague dreams or deja vu moments about it that they brush off, though Wally gets the most dreams about it while not knowing why

Their bodies beyond their felt skin is flesh like a humans, they bleed like a human and have human anatomy within them unbeknownst to them (kinda similar to poppyplaytime and how they have human flesh and blood inside their plush/toy bodies)

i think i may be bleakmaxxing and realizing that there’s probably still decent internet horror out there, but i don’t know… every time i branch out im either thoroughly disappointed (i was devastated about borrasca dude. ik thats not technically internet horror but that made me so pissed off that i cant get it off my mind) or it’s so predictable and uninspired that they take these certain elements of what used to make internet horror good and just… i don’t know. splice it together? without knowing WHY it’s effective?

analog horror nowadays is literally ANY plot (jk it’s only about government science experiments or anomalies) with a static filter and white text slapped over it. no inspiration from the actual 80’s or what VHS actually LOOKED like back then. nosleep is a nightmare, there’s a few decent ones here and there but i honestly don’t think it’s worth it half the time especially since a lot of the common themes around women specifically are always more or less about assault. mascot horror. how the FUCK did you people fall for poppyplaytime THREE WHOLE TIMES!!!!!! okay im definitely putting myself down on purpose now but i can’t be the only one just TIREDDD and want something new

I got an idea from the whole Dark water exposure thing. So, I have a character called Max but goes by- I'm stuck between QuickShot and FlashBang- and I originally planned for him to just work for the scientist antagonist (who I'm basing on the Doctor from PoppyPlayTime) as a mercenary/hit man (he also has a cyborg eye on his right with a target iris) but then I guess you could say Marcy (from Amphibia) style gets experimented on with a Darkbane crown forming a brainwashed Darkbane human I'll call the King/Monarch.

But as just mentioned with the Dark water exposure thing. I just thought that it would be more interesting if his mom was one of the researchers that was exposed to the Dark water- But I mean like Heavily exposed because she was like one of or the closest (I'd say that all the others ones who were really close ended up dying later in life). So I thought that she could've been pregnant- or gets pregnant afterwards (I think the second one makes more sense because I think the baby just would've died with that amount of exposure) Max is born and ends up having a lot of Dark water in his blood. And unfortunately his mom died after giving birth to him, leaving Max with the scientist due to him being in charge of most experiments. And the indoctrination naturally occurred. And I think it would be interesting, and because I guess this is my headcanon on the DarkBane's aging process, Max ends up aging very fast (as well as gaing some DarkBane strength and I guess you could say 'abilities' but their not that strong), so when Eli came to Slugterra and when he turned 16 Max was already 26 and then 27 by the time my rewrite of season two takes place.

But that's just my fun idea for a character. And while he definitely sounds like one I promise he isn't an Overpowered, Unstoppable oc, he's basically an accidental experiment.

She is; An Flip, Caregiver Lean. She usually cares for those who age-regress, despite being a ghost; she can touch psychical stuff depending on emotions!

Chapter 9 of My Poppy Playtime Longfic is Up!

A few days after he and Theodore had confessed their feelings to one another, Grayson went on his first food run. He primarily bought some non-perishables, but The Prototype had assured that he had some freezer space to stock up on meat.

The plan was to incorporate the meat that Grayson had bought, as well as the meat from the recently butchered Hoppy Hopscotch and KickinChicken, into the other things that Grayson had purchased. The experiments had been running on raw meat for so long, that other food in excess would likely make them sick, so it needed to be a slow process, transferring them to a more balanced diet.

Grayson was put in charge of meal preparation. He used the kitchen in the main cafeteria, the one that the staff had once used for lunch breaks. It was large and well-equipped, with multiple stoves, ovens, and sinks. The walls were a light blue color, and the cabinets were a darker shade of blue. He kind of liked the ambiance.

Grayson was basically making raw dog food at this stage. It had to be similar to what the toys were used to for the time being. The Prototype had assured him that the experiments would be just fine with whatever Grayson made. Most of them did not have a very detailed sense of taste apparently. However, Grayson still wanted to make it as palatable as possible.

He used to cook with his Aunt Molly, so he wasn't a total novice in the kitchen. He started by mixing together the raw beef, which he had cut into small pieces, with some of the other foods he had bought. He added some canned pumpkin, which The Prototype had suggested would help with the toys' digestion, some rice, some cooked celery and eggplant, and some plain yogurt, for a little bit of probiotics. Then he seasoned it with some salt and pepper, as well as a few dried herbs.

Grayson tasted the mixture, making a face. It wasn't exactly appetizing, but he knew that it would adequate enough compared to the experiments eating one another. He placed the prepared food into a large bowl and added some more of the raw meat, as well as some of the cooked vegetables and rice. He mixed everything together thoroughly, making sure that everything was evenly distributed.

He then portioned out the food. Theodore helped with that step, knowing how much each individual needed to be satisfied. They placed the portions into sealed plastic containers and labeled them with the names of the toys they belonged to. Once that was done, Grayson took the containers and went to the lab.

There, they placed the rest of the food for the week into the industrial sized freezer in the main lab. The Prototype assured that the food would be distributed, but suggested that Grayson and Theodore take the food for those in Playcare and hand it out. They agreed.
